Post purchase price match query

Hi,
I purchased a new Macbook air for $949.99 minus a $50 student discount plus tax. The very next day, the price dropped to $899.99. So the new price for me was $899.99 minus a $50 student discount plus tax. But after the price match I received only $50 credit on my creditcard. I would like to know, whether price matching excludes tax? Because a 7% tax equates to $3.5 which should also have been returned.
Thanks!

Thank you for patiently awaiting for a reply from our team. Purchasing a laptop is not an easy tasked, I say this because I am currently in the market for one and I want to make sure I am getting the most for my money.
Using the email address that you used to register onto the forum, I was able to locate your order and realize that the tax was not included in the price match. I went ahead and manually added $3.50 credit, it should reflect on your account within 24-72 hours.
Have a great day,

  • Post Purchase Pricing Matching on items with a free instant giftcard

If I purchase a $100 item pre-tax from BB in-store and it comes with a free $25 instant giftcard then the following week(under 15 days) BB drops the price to $50. Am I able to bring my receipt to get the $50 difference back or would the giftcard offer somehow be affected? When games that are part of the $10 pre-order/purchase promo go on sale within 15 days the customer doesn`t have to forfeit any portion on the $10 no matter what the price of the game has dropped to.

    Hi again enuf,
Kst8no1 is correct here: bundle offers, including free gift card offers, are excluded from our Low Price Guarantee and price match policy. To receive the lower price, you would be required to return the gift card you received with your initial purchase. For more information, I'd encourage you to refer to the following page:

  • Still waiting for Price Match Guarantee refund to post to my credit card

I recently purchased a Nikon bundle from my local best buy,   Upon returning from the store, I noticed that Amazon had the same product cheaper.  I called Best Buy's customer service on 09/08 for a price match guarantee.  The customer support agent was very helpful and told me that my credit was approved.  She told me that the credit should appear on my credit card in 24 to 48 hours.  Thirteen days and two case numbers later, I still have not received my refund.  Can someone tell why is this credit taking so long? Thank you in advance.

    Greetings DOKLB,
The purchase of a brand-new camera and accessories is by no means a small investment, so I can imagine why you'd be concerned!
Based on what you mentioned -- as well as details I was able to locate using the e-mail address you used to register for the forum -- it appears there may be some confusion regarding how our Low Price Guarantee works. Specifically, customers must physically visit the customer service desk at their local Best Buy store to request a price match for any in-store purchase. This cannot be done over the phone, by e-mail or online, so our apologies for any misinformation you may have received. Additionally, remember that bundle offers are excluded from price matches under our Low Price Guarantee. For full details, I'd encourage you to refer to the following page:
BestBuy.com > Help Center > Low Price Guarantee

That said, I've sent you some information. Please make sure to check your private messages when you can by signing into the forum and then clicking on the letter icon in the upper right-hand corner of the page.

  • Re: Do not use coupon if you want to price match later! Policy is VERY MISLEADING

I'm glad to hear your issue got resolved...
I used a 10% coupon too, the day before it expired on 11/15 on a $2,499 TV.thinking that if price went down, I'm covered by the price match guarantee...
I bought the TV online because the store will not accept it.  3 store managers (I went to 3 different locations to verify that I really can't use the coupon in the store), assured me that if price went down, BB would price match.  All of them also said that it will only be price matched against the amount I paid, not the original price.  Hence, $2,499 less 10% = $2,159.  A week later, the price went down to $1,999.
I went to the store and asked for a price match...after waiting for about 30 minutes, customer service said they cannot do it because it was purchased online...I had to call the 800 number.  After another 1 hour or so on the phone, with a combination of "let me verify your purchase, let me put you on hold, I apologize for the hold etc.", I was given a case number and was told that at least $160 would be credited back to my account, and that it would take 24 hours for the credit to show up.
Lo and behold, it's has been a week now and no credit.  I called the 800 number again last night and was told that the claim was denied because I used a coupon.  It's BB policy...
Really?  I thought when it said "it does not cover coupon offers"  it meant that it does not cover the value of the coupon, so that one would not double dip.  I told her what the managers told me and she apologized for the "misinformation" but could not do anything about it.  It's BB policy.
So now, I will go back to the store and speak to the manager and bring up this issue.

    Hello remybelle-
I apologize for that lateness of this response; we are currently backlogged on posts and trying to get caught up as quickly as we can.  I can certainly appreciate wanting to get the best deal you can for this TV as it was an large investment and I’m sorry to hear that you were turned down for that price match.
I’ve checked in on this to make sure and the 10% off movers coupons are not able to be used along with a price match per our Price Match Guarantee here.  I absolutely apologize for any misinformation that our stores gave you regarding being able to obtain a price match.  I will be documenting this feedback as we want to make sure that our stores are providing the correct information around these coupons to our customers to prevent situations exactly like this.
Thank you for bringing this to our attention.

  • Changes to post purchase with GCU??

So, in the end I did get my price adjustment, but I had no idea this had changed, I typically order games on release day and don't worry about the common price drops. Thanks to the elite plus I could always price adjust after the usual big sales a month into release
But Wow, I just got off the phone with the .Com post purchase and had to pull teeth to get my Elder Scrolls Online price adjusted (elite plus so 45 days)
Woman on phone told me she can only give me back $8 because I only paid 47. I explained how that is because I'm GCU, she got agitated and told me they all got classes and memos that the GCU can only be counted once per item.
I then asked, well I'd be able to return the item, get my 47 plus tax back, then rebuy it for the 39.99 minus GCU, so why can't the price be adjusted that way now?
The woman the continued to argue with me that all I'm getting is $8, so I finally said fine do what you want to do, and I'll take up this sudden policy change with someone else, cuz that's stupid.
I was informed matching with GCU is double dipping, and after I said I'd take it up with someone else, she angrily said fine I'll issue you the $17 who cares if I get in trouble right?
I told her just do the 8, no need for her to get in trouble and I'd just speak with someone about why this is going on, since we pay for this discount, and she got short with me, said your getting 17 back drop it, confirmed my address and rushed me off the phone.
    wow

    Hello Nocturnx99,
Geez!  That's not how we want to be represented as a company and I'm truly sorry for this employee’s behavior.  Not sure why this individual was misinformed, but you're correct in stating that you'd be able to apply the Price Match Guarantee to the price and have your Gamers Club Unlocked benefits added to the purchase.
"If Best Buy's price is lowered during the return/exchange period, the price will be matched to the lower price (upon request). My Best Buy Gamers Club Unlocked Members should receive the new price along with the 20% discount. This price match covers one price match per identical item per customer."
Again, I apologize for all of this and please keep me in the loop on when you receive the adjusted amount.

  • Sears price match with rewards

Sears is offering the 16gb Samsung Galaxy Tab S tablet for 499 and offering 150.00 off next purchase as Shop Your Way Rewards.  Someone posted on another web site that a Best Buy matched this for him as $150 off the $499 best buy  price.  Can I expect to get the same match?  Thank you.

    Hello Fletchbes,
It's great that you're looking to use our Low Price Guarantee to get the best price possible on a new Samsung Galaxy Tab S. Being a frugal shopper in our modern world is a great virtue.
In looking at our competitor's offer, it appears that they are offering a point bonus to purchasers who are members of their loyalty program. Our Best Buy stores would happily match their promoted price if it is lower than ours, but would not subtract a discount, nor would they award My Best Buy points for your purchase to match our competitors promotion. I regret that I don't have better news for you.
Please know that I'm grateful that you wrote to us with your questions!

  • Movers coupon Stacked with edu student coupon on a price matched item

Earlier today I went into store 543 in fort Lauderdale. I was attempting to buy a Macbook Air, model MD760LL, which is carried online as well as in various stores. I was attempting to do the following: Price match the laptop with B&H photo-video and then use both the movers coupon and the edu coupon. I first spoke to the “manager of the laptop dept,” named Nicolas, who was only able to price match and use the movers coupon. He then called over a gentleman named Josh, whose name tag read, “Bestbuy mobile manager.” Josh then came up with the following excuses: 1) you cannot combine the movers and the edu coupon. After showing him the previous posts from this site, he replied, “you cant believe everything you read online.” After realizing that he was incorrect he moved on to the next excuse. 2) This is a discontinued product so you cant use the edu coupon. While this argument had some merit to it, he let the wind out of those sails very quickly when he changed his stance to the following: “look, were not going to give you that deal, so you can pick one; either, we will stack the coupons OR we will price match, but we will NOT do both.” I once again explained the forums and the price match policy, to which he replied, “you will not be getting that deal in this store.” Other than being slightly abrasive he was professional and courteous. That said, please advise if he is correct, or if I may in fact price match and stack the coupons on the MD760LL Macbook Air.

    Hello amf04r,
Using a Movers Coupon and College Student Deals coupon on the same product, providing it qualifies for both, should be a simple process. When adding a price match request into the transaction, things are more complicated.
Per our Price Match Guarantee, coupons may not be used in conjunction with a price match request. Furthermore, the College Student Deals coupons may not be used on clearance items, which the MacBook Air you desired to purchase appears to be. Given this information, you should have been allowed to either use the Movers Coupon or receive a price match.
With that said, unfortunately I can’t speak as to why you were offered to stack the coupons, and I apologize if you were provided any conflicting or incorrect information while you were attempting to sort this request out at the store. Using the information you registered with the forum, I don’t see a receipt under your purchase history for a MacBook Air, so it doesn’t seem you went through with this purchase. I would encourage you to return to the store if you desire to use the Movers Coupon or receive the price match.
If you should have any questions, please let me know.

  • Item Last Purchase Price

In SAP 8.8 inventory table OITM, there's a 'Last Purchase Price' field. This particular field grabs the price from Item Posting List (Right click on Item Master Data and select 'Inventory Posting List' from the list). Inventory Posting List normally consists of goods issue, jounal entry, inventory transfer etc.
For some strange reasons, some of the items have negative 'last purchase price'. When I further tested out by drag and relate those items to PO, the last PO was created years ago and the price is not what it shows in 'last purchased price'. Seems like this 'last purchase price' field is showing some strange result after internal inventory transfer. Any idea why it is causing this? Many thanks.

    Hi......
You can get the last purchase price by a Query report or you can get it by FMS at transaction level........
    For report try this....
    SELECT Top 1 T0.CardName, t1.ItemCode, T1.Price, T0.DocNum  FROM OPCH T0 Inner Join PCH1 T1 On T0.DocEntry=T1.DocEntry
    Order By T0.DocDate DESC

  • Would you guys price match THIS sale price?

    {removed per forum guidelines}
I have a Best Buy gift card and I'd rather buy it from your company than Sears.
But I know if I go in store to attempt a price match I'm going to get one snippy rep or another making a comment about how it's 'too much of a discount' like when I asked them to PM Wolfenstein: The New Order last week. Kmart had it for $20 in store, you guys had it at $60, even though I'm pretty sure MSRP has gone down to at least $40 by now on it.
Anyway, any ideas if you guys would match that Dual Shock 3 I linked above? It's priced currently at $15.65 from Sears.com and as of the time this thread is being created(3:17am EST 12/14/14) it is still in stock and available for shipping as well as in stock to buy at my closest Sears store.

    Hi CheapestGamer,
I'm sorry for our delay to your post. We're doing our best to reach everyone who has contacted us. I'm also sorry you weren't able to get your price match approved; unfortunately, it sounds like we made reasonable efforts to verify its availability at Sears, but we had to deny your request based on the information we were given. Still, I'm glad you were able to find the items you were looking for, even if they weren't purchased from us.
    Thanks for sharing your story.

  • PRICE MATCH IS A JOKE - TOTAL SUPPORT FAILURE

I purchased a Samsung TV for $3000 and a Sharp soundbar for $400 on November 21st.  I called Best Buy for the price match when the TV went to $2300 and the Soundbar to $200 on the Best Buy site a day later.  I was told that I would be called within 24 hours to confirm the price matches.  I HAVE NEVER, EVER RECEIVED A CALL BACK FROM BEST BUY AS PROMISED TO CONFIRM THE PRICE MATCH.
I have called Best Buy almost every day since for confirmation.  When I call I am placed on hold for at least 15 minutes, only to learn that I have been transferred to the wrong department (today it was the 15 minute wait for the Geek Squad extension, which has nothing to do with pricematch).  Each time I call for confirmation, I am assured that I will be called THAT DAY to confirm to price match.  It never happens.
I have no idea waht is going on, if it is just bad service or an attempt to avoid a price match.  Either way, I understand the frustration of many, many other coustomers who question if they should continue to shop at Best Buy, where they are happy to take your maney, but that seems to be it as soon as you walk out the door. Remember Circuit City?
I hope to hear brom Best Buy to confirm my price match sometime before the first of the year or, at least sometime in 2015.

    Hello deerpath,
It shouldn't be so difficult to request a price match, so I can imagine why you'd be upset! I'd be frustrated too if I found myself in a similar situation, especially if promises of return phone calls were not kept.
I've had the chance to review your account and it looks like a member of our post-purchase support team was able to process a price match on your behalf shortly after you posted on 12/03. It's also my understanding that copies of both the original receipt and price match transaction were sent to you by e-mail, so please make sure to check your inbox and junk mail folders for those messages if you haven't already done so.
Thanks for your patience and understanding, as well as for purchasing with us! I hope you're enjoying the new TV.
