Is its possible to make the posting date field Mandatory through standard way or if not through exit.Pl suggest

    Hi All,
By Mistake I have typed wrongly. The requirement is
In DP91 screen the current date is populated in posting date to field by default. But the user want it should be empty and they will key in the date. The reason behind is if they will always raise the Billing request for the previous month and by mistake if they executed DP91 for current date it will be an issue.

  • Adding a field in Web dynpro java in Travel Request application

    Hi All,
How to add a field in Web dynpro java in Travel Request application or can we copy the Web dynpro java application to Web dynpro ABAP and add a field. Experts, Can you please suggest me step by step in resolving the problem.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Kumar

    Hi Kumar,
First, in order to customise the ESS webdynpro Java iViews you need to be aware that, you are about to change the SAP standard iviews. In order to avoid this you can make a copy of the SAP standard one's and then try to customise the copied one's.
Now, you should have NetWeaver Development Infrastructure(NWDI) installed. Once it is installed you should also install the Netweaver Developer Studio (NWDS) on your computer.
Once you have these two installed, you should deploy the ESS Business Package onto the NWDI by creating tracks. There is a cookbook available on SAP Service Marketplace for configuring NWDI for ESS.
Once you have all the above mentioned tools, have a look at the following blog which clearly explains about the procedure of customising ESS iviews.
    /people/vinoth.murugaiyan/blog/2007/08/24/essmss-customization-150-make-it-simple
Also check the following Wiki, this might be useful!
    https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/wiki?path=/display/erphcm/employee%252bself%252bservice
I hope this helps. Let me know if you have any issues.
Dont forgett to contribute points if this is useful! All the Best.

  • Posting date field in reports S_SMC_47000016 / S_SMC_47000017

    Hi all,
We are using the serice desk function for monitoring the support tickets. I have one quert related to List of notification transactions S_SMC_47000016 / S_SMC_47000017.
In the service desk whenever we run the report of all open notificaitons (S_SMC_47000017)  Or Find Support Notifications (S_SMC_47000016), in the list output we do not get any data in the field "Posting Date".  We do get the date in field "Valid From", but no information is getting populated in posting Date column.
If we try to search the notifications using the T Code " CRMD_ORDER" and try to get the list of notifications in the find Tab, then here the posting date gets populated.
Could you please let me know if  there is any setting which is preventing from Posting Date to be populated in the T Codes S_SMC_47000016 / S_SMC_47000017.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Narendra

    Hi,
We have chnaged the layout already, my question is that in the layout the posting date column is appearing, but the posting date is not getting updated for any notification in the output. The column remains blank.
    Thanks and Regards,

  • "Posting Date" field blank by default

    Hi!
Is there any way, in transactions FB60 and F-43, so that field "Posting Date" is displayed blank whenever the user executes them? By default, this field displays the current date.
    Thank you
    Lucia

    Hi Lucia,
The SAP standard defaults the value of the posting date automatically and it is not possible to remove this default value in BUDAT.
However, it may be possible to use a substitution to get your desired result. You can check note 42615 for information purposes.

  • How do I modify invoice request xml file by adding posting date?

    Hi,
We import customer invoice requests via xml files from an external data source. Currently the standard SAP xml file does not include the posting date, and invoices enter SAP with a blank posting date. When the invoice is released, the posting date is taken from the invoice date.
Due to our month end processes, we have hundreds of invoice requests every month where we do not want posting date to equal the invoice date, and for each of those invoices the posting date is manually entered one invoice at a time during the release process. This is very time consuming.
We would like to build functionality in our external system to create the posting date at the xml file generation stage. Could anyone let us know the following:
    - what is the name of the posting date field on invoice requests (invoice documents)?
    - where would we place the additional script in the xml file?
I'm attaching one of our current xml files (which already contains one section that has been customized)
    Your suggestions would be appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Kerstin

    Kerstin,
The closest i could find in the WSDL of the Manage Invoice Request Web Service that handles this integration is "<ProposedInvoiceDate>" or possibly even "<ProposedDeviatingPostingdate>", both of which sit directly under the <CustomerInvoiceRequest> element.
For more information, go to the Service Explorer, find the ManageInvoiceRequestsIn Web Service, download the WSDL, and open it in SOAP-UI or something similar. This way you can see all the fields that you can write to, which is where i found these two elements.

  • FITE_EXPENSES  -- Available Travel Requests / Plans

    Hi Experts,
I've got a question concerning the creation of travel expenses and the data acquisition of the respective travel request. Let's say I've sent a Travel Request and it has been approved by the respective approver, i.e. status of the process is "approval" and status of approval is "approved". Now, in the scenario "All my Trips" the user can choose the tabs for travel requests and click on the link "Create" in Tab "Travel Expenses", so the travel request is used as a data template for the travel expense sheet. All is good.
Alternatively, for some requests posted, at the 'entry screen' of the scenario FITE_EXPENSES, there's a list "Available Travel Requests / Plans" which apparently shows some, but not all travel requests available.
Now my question is: Where does the generic alv-grid "Available Travel Requests / Plans" get its items from? I've plunged deep into FITV_FPM to find some clues but couldn't fin anything out, it's just too generically programmed...
The way it is now, there is a redundancy/inconsistency between all my trips --> travel requests, and FITE_EXPENSES --> Available Travel Requests / Plans. This bothers me, because it will be annoying for the end user...
I hope somebody can clear this up ;-/
    Cheers, Lukas

  • SAP R/3 Tables without Date fields

I am trying to import data from SAP R/3 into MS SQL DWH.
There are tables which doesnot have posting date fields.
Can anyone tell me how to map them with those Table which will have posting date fields, so i can create view in SAP and then pull that view into SQL DWH restricting on date.
    Following tables which doesnot have date fields i want to pull date for month of July 2007;
    EKBE
    EKKO
    MAKT
    MSEG
    KSEG
    AFPO
    JEST
    JCDS
    MARA
    AUFK
    COEP
    RESB
    MARC
I am not a ABAP developer just trying to get my data from SAP, so please answer in detail.

BUDAT is the technical name for Posting Date field. This field is used many DB Tables/ Strucutres. Using where used option you can find the required tables.
I suggest you to look at BSEG table for Finace Document postings by Posting Date.

  • AR Reserve Invoice - Posting date

    Hi,
I have a customer who really would like to address the issue with the posting date on AR Reserve Invoices, because they think this field should be open for editing until the invoice has been paid.
Is there a good reason for why the posting date field is closed after adding the document?
And is there a possibility that this field can be opened for editing in a future version?
    Best regards,
    Lena-Marie D. Tørresvold

    Hi Lena.......
The reason might be based on Posting Date the Payment is linked because Payment will be done as per the payment terms and payment terms ultimately linked with Document Date.
And its preferable too as accounting is puerly done on the basis of date which is one of the most important factor from Financial Reports point of view.
So if you think to edit the dates of docs when it si added then it is unncessary as it wont make any sense for finance reports........
    Hope you got the logic....

  • Formatted Search for Delivery Date field in SO not working

    Hi All
Can anyone help me as to why my formatted search is not working?
    I am currently using SAP B1A SP01 Patch 19.
I have created a user query as follows:
    SELECT $ [$10.0.DATE] + 5
When I add this to the delivery field within the Sales Order and bring through the saved query which I set to auto refresh when the Posting Date field changes and to Display Saved Values it doesn't work.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks and best wishes
    Gail

    HI Gail,
If I am not mistaken you want to add days to the posting date...if that is so then try this out:
SELECT $[ORDR.DocDate.DATE]+5 From ORDR T0 For Browse
Set The indicator to Auto Refresh when the fields change

  • MIGO Posting Date based on GR/GI Slip Number

    Dear Friends.
    I need your great Inputs
    1) I am creating gatepass ticket using T-code LECI,
Here I am getting Sequence Number like 12 and also
I am entering here Check-In date like 05.06.2005.
    2) In MIGO Transaction,Goods Receipt Purchase Order  Screen -->General header  :
when I enter Sequence number 12 in MIGO Transaction(that has been       generated by LECI) in GR/GI Slip no field, the system has to pick        the Check-In Date(05.06.2005)  that is been entered in LECI Transaction into Posting date field instead of system date in MIGO automatically.
For the above is there any User-Exit/Badi/ or any other approach?
      Please give me your advice.

  • Incorrect Posting date

    Hi Gurus,
We have an accounting doc (vendor payment) that was created for the issued post dated check.  Actual date written in the check was January 2015 and it was already released to the vendor for encashment on 2015.
However, the user incorrectly used posting date February 2014 in the payment document in SAP.  It should be January 2015. Check information and clearing document were also posted in SAP as February 2014.
Kindly advise how can this be corrected this April as February book were closed already.
    Thanks.

    Dear Elli,
The standard R/3 system does not allow changes to the document date (BKPF-BLDAT) or posting date (BKPF-BUDAT) fields - even though it has been customized to allow changes via trans OB32 (Document Change Rules).
The reason behind this system design is to protect critical accounting document data and to avoid fiscal period close problems, e.g., audit control, out of balance situations.
If you wish to change the document / posting date fields, you must reverse the invoice document and repost it using the desired document / posting dates.
    Best regards,
    Vera Meizner

  • SES report based SES sheet and Posting date wise

    Hi All,
Please let me know is there any standard report is available to view the SES sheets created against a PO and within a date range (posting date based).
I have tried below T-Codes but  i am not getting Posting date field in these codes.
    1.ME2S
    2.ML84
    3.MSRV6
    Regards,

May I know what do your mean by posting date ?
When you accept the SES, at that time you can see posting date..
Either there are two date you can see in SES,
    1. Document Date , 2. Created Date.
The document date will shows in every report..
But Created date will available only in table level..
Check table ESSR, Here you will find entry date, SES number and PO number also..
