  • How to view Pre requisite for a transport request

    Hi All,
    We want to release multiple transport at one go. Now, in that there are related developments so that one particular request should go first and then the other related request should follow. I want to know how is this achieved? Is it done by creating proposal for the one to be transported first before the other? So if one request has proposal no. 7780 then it will go before the one having proposal 7789. Is this correct?
    Also, I want to know PreReq no. (Prequisite) for a transport i.e. which proposal is lined up before a given proposal. Is there any tool for that?

    Combine all transports into one (can be done in SE10). Dependencies will be resolved by SAP if there is only one transport.
    For the next time, create one transport and create a task for every developper having only two transports (workbench and cust).

  • Error in 'My Reports' section for Manager-Succession Planning

    Hi,
    We are implementing Nakisa 3.0 SP1.
    We have maintained all prequisites for a Manager. For example:
    1) Manager's user id is attached to Employee who is managing Org. Unit
    though relationship B012.
    2) Configured Root Org. Unit in Administration Console.
    Still, we are getting error like "Cannot find the root of your
    orgchart. The orgchart box may have been deleted or incorrectly
    specified, or no valid org structure can be found for the selected
    effective date. Please change the root of the chart or select another
    effective date."
    I have checked log (cds.lg) as well. It's not giving any relevant
    error. although it is giving error which says "04 Jul 2011 10:30:33
    ERROR com.nakisa.Logger - java.text.ParseException: Unparseable
    date: "7/10/2007 2:15:10 PM"".

    I have the same problem as Prashant, I cannot display the organizational structure in Nakisa Career Planning 3.0 CEP3 Build 703012000.
    I have reviewed the followings links in SAP.

    I ran the report HRALXSYNC and corrected errors.
    Is returned to perform instance deploy and reapply the transport package.
    For testing the user has SAP_ALL.
    In the configuration of thea dmin console I have tried to address the Organizational ID and error occurs: "Cannot find the root of your orgchart. The orgchart box may have been deleted or incorrectly specified, or no valid org structure can be found for the selected effective date. Please change the root of the chart or select another effective date."
    I tried to do what he says Luke Marson and the error persists.
    In the log Manager I get the following error:
    68. 05 Aug 2013 12:37:26 ERROR com.nakisa.Logger  - java.text.ParseException: Unparseable date: "7/10/2007 2:15:10 PM".

    1. You have uploaded a file with the path from desktop and scheduled a background job. Then what happens?
    2. When there are 1000's of records which method(call transacton or session method) is better and what is the reason for it?

  • Data Archiving - System Prerequisites

    Hi,
    We are planning to ARCHIVE some of the tables to reduce the TCO. (Total cost of Ownership)
    In this regard, I would like to know the following:
    On the Basis side, I want to check for any prerequisites etc (like Minimum SP LEVEL, Kernel version, Import Notes to be applied etc)
    Are there any document which clearly talks about these prequisites for preparing the System in order to be able to carry out the Archive work without any issues.
    (Note:  We are not using ILM solution for Archiving)
    I am mostly concerned with the SAP Notes that are considered to be the prerequisites.

    Hi,
    Pre-requisites for search OSS notes or BC Sets depends upon the program that is used in archive, delete or read.
    If there is no proper selection criteria in write variant selection,
    If the program is getting terminated due to long processing time,
    If percentage of data archived for your selection is less even after data meeting minimum criteria,
    If system allows user to change archived data,
    With all the above scenarios we will search for OSS notes. If SAP has released BC sets then we will implement these.
    If you have any problem while archiving and based on the archiving experience if you think that some of the oss notes will help then take a call on implementing it.
    With the tables you have mentioned i can say that archiving objects such as FI_DOCUMNT, FI_SL_DATA, EC_PCA_ITM, EC_PCA_DATA, CHANGEDOCU, ARCHIVELINK.
    You have to search any latest release BC sets or OSS notes for your system application.

  • Material Group,Product Group

    Hi ,
    Can any one explain what is meant by Material Group, Product Group. Where is it used. What is the difference between
    Material and Product Group. Do we need to have any prequisites for creating Product Group with Tcode MC84?.

    Material Group:
    This is basically a field in Material master Basic data1. This field is available in most of the Purchasing Reporting transactions and you can run reports based on them.  Material Group is also used as a reference when creating Purchase Inforecord without any material number reference.
    Product Group:
    Product Group is a material master of type "PROD". This type of material master can only be used for planning purpose, you can assign finished materials(FERT) as members to them. Example: If you are manufacturing a product which goes in for several type of packings then you create a product group and assign the individual finished product material numbers as members, here we also define the proportional factors for aggregation and disaggregation.

    platform is 11.5.9
    OS is solaris
    Please I want to download patch 5352601(CPUApr2007 5352601) 11iApplications DBA) which is included in CPU April 2007. Now one of the prerequisite for this patch is patch 3180816 (Patch 11i.AD.I) which is obsolete in this platform (Patchsets known to include or supersede Patch 3180816 is patch 4712852 Applications DBA 11i.AD.I.4)
    I have patch 4712852 (Applications DBA 11i.AD.I.4) applied on my system my question is since I have the new patch 4712852 do I need to apply the older one patch 3180816 (patch 11i.AD.I) since is a prequisite for the patch 5352601(CPUApr2007 5352601) 11iApplications DBA) ?
    I am thinking that the new one should be good enough since minipack is cumulative?
    Please help again!!

    You do not have to apply patch 3180816 (patch 11i.AD.I) since it is included in 4712852 (Applications DBA 11i.AD.I.4). To make sure you can apply patch 5352601(CPUApr2007 5352601) with "options=prereq", this option helps you to determine if you have any missing pre-req. patches on your environment before applying the current patch.

  • Problem in text determination

    Hi all,
         I have entered the sales text in XD02 of a particular customer . It get saved when I have saved it. But when I open it again It does not display What I have entered in the  sales text.
        My question if there is any prequisites for the  texts to be  saved or, Whether we have to add any standard text in the texts.
        Also How to make the sales text to be displayed in sales order that have been created for this  particular customer.
        Could any one of you please solved my problem.

    Pls review the settings under the following SPRO node:
    SPRO>Sales& Distbn>Basic Fns>Text control>Define And Assign Text Determination Procedures
    Pls review the procedure assigned to the account group for enabling sales text in customer master and review the proc assigned to Sales doc type for texts in sales order.
    This is the only place that concerns your question and spend some time here.
    Once everything is assigned properly - Procedure, text types, access sequence and assignment to text objects - your text will flow to sales order apart from appearing in the customer master.

  • Captivate 4 and Adobe Connect Pro

    Hello,
    I created some lessons using Adobe Captivate, then I posted them to Adobe Acrobat Connect. Each lesson is a prequisite for the lesson before. I noticed that some of my users are simply opening the lesson and closing them again -- when they do this, adobe acrobat connect logs the lesson as being complete and opens the next lesson in the curriculum.
    In short, is there a way to prevent the users from doing  this?

    So, i sorta found a way to do this -- by adding a TOC and making the lessons self-paced, the user will always be brought back to the place where they left off when they exited the lesson.
    But it seems that even though the icon in the curriculum list changes to CONTINUE when the user closes the lesson, it still unlocks the next lesson even though the staus checkmarks in the previous lesson are not complete.
    Help. Are there any other such postings?

    My question is - is this still the case?  Is there any work around?  The company I am currently working for has a company branded portal so to use WDA I must use the portal stylesheet.
    Surely someone uses EP6 with a NW2004s ABAP stack??!!

    Your question is not quite clear. Do you want to use WDA without integrating into portal? If yes, it is possible and it is also possible to have stylesheet for WDA without integrating into Portal.

    Prequisites for Sub Contracting
    In MRP 2 view of material master, Special Procurement key "30"
    You also need to maintain a BOM with usage Production, so that whenever PR & PO is created; the components which needs to be supplied to Vendor also gets copied.
    Info record item category has to be ' 3 '
    PO Item category has to be ' L'
    Suppose out of 3 operations; you want to do 2nd operation as Sub Contracting i.e. send to vendor for doing something and then get back. In suc case; maintain control key PP02 in 2nd operation
    Once you allocate PP02 to operation 20 ,the system will ask for the info record no & so create it
    Then after you confirm opr 10 using CO11N; go to opr overview in the prod order, choose opr 20 & double click.
    Get the PR no. from the ext processing tab. Then convert into a PO usning ME58
    You can send the raw matrl to the contractor using ME2O or MB1B (541 mvnt).
    Then after the completion of sub -contracting work receive the semi-finished material using MIGO (101 movement for subcont material & 543 for subcont components).
    Then confirm oprn 20 & lastly MB31 for GR
    This is all about Sub contracting

  • OSR 10.3 server drops into ADMIN mode

    Using WL 10.3, jrockit_160_05 on RH on a 2 node cluster with the registry.war deployed to a single server within the cluster.
    The server running Oracle Service Registry application will drop into ADMIN mode, but not much is logged in the server log. There were no entries in the log for over an hour prior to the server dropping out of RUNNING status, and no one is logged in ( "no active sessions" )

    I second hisaaks and mmeyers opinion.
    It is much discussed but documented and widely known (and though often thought to be not necessary) prequisite for OSB clustering. Compared to WLS clustering there some limitations.
    You can only have one cluster in a OSB domain, if there is more than one maneged servers you have to put them in a cluster.
    Like it or not, the product requires it. IMHO it is acceptable. My guess is that one reason for it are the uniformely distributed queues used within OSB.
    IMHO the real problems start, when you think about extending the cluster after creating the domain, then you have to manually set all these queues and distributed queues and JMS modules and everything that gets typically targetted for you by the domain wizzard. Or is there a solution for it yet? (Sorry to hijack your thread).

    @karthik, Sandeep: We cant use Additional Files in the Sender File Adapter  in this requirement as to pick the additional file all the files should be in the Source Directory.
    Following are the prequisite for using this feature (http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwpi71/helpdata/en/44/692ab8a4b633eae10000000a1553f6/frameset.htm) :
    Prerequisites
    ●     You have set the Additional File(s) indicator in the sender file adapter.
    ●     The additional files must be in the Source Directory.
    ●     The way that the files to be transported are grouped together is defined by the file names. All file names must be identical except for a defined part (such as the suffix).
    ●     You will find additional files as an attachment in the message under the name assigned in the file list.
