Presets for Plugs like Line6 ??

Hi!
Maybe some of you know, that on the Line6 Page you can search for sounds and load the found preset to your Line6 Product. For example I like a Johnny Cash song, I tip the titel in and wuup - the sound is there and it realy is like the original.
Now I wonder, if there is something similar for the synth and plugs for Logics MainStage. If I would like to have a keybaord sound like the Artist "Moby" or a hammond sond like a "The doors" if there is a page, where people add there presets, that listen like the original. Thanks a lot Martin

Maybe I have mad it too quickly after each other.
But when I choose one of the presets I have made. Then you see 19, bij 12,7 by each of them. Just like the second screenshot.

It's highly likely, Apple are not in the habit of shooting themselves in the foot and have an excellent track record for handling major architectural transitions (68000 to PowerPC, PowerPC to Intel, OS 9 to OS X etc) but of course nothing can be guaranteed until further official announcements are made. Your existing software however will certainly continue to work for some time yet to come with  compatibility for the existing FCP, Motion, After Effects versions.
Why not drop an email to FxFactory / Noise Industries support?

  • Unable To Use DVDSP4 Presets for HD-DVD in the H.264 Format

I recently prepared a 23 minute slide show using Fotomagico from high resolution Hasselblad slides scanned in at 1200 dpi. Within Fotomagico I rendered the Fotomagico slide show to Apple ProRes 422 HQ, took it into Final Cut Pro 6.03 and added an intro and closing section. I then sent this to Compressor and selected the 30 minute HD-DVD preset which uses mpeg2. All went fine with the encoding to mpeg2 and I got a successful build and format out of DVDSP4 after importing the resulting .m2v file into DVDSP4. However, while the disk plays back fine in my Mac Pro it plays back with stuttering (audio and video) on my Toshiba HD-A2 HD-DVD player. I used a Verbatim Datalife DVD+R, but several other discs from other manufactuers including a DVD-R disc showed the same problem.
Please note that I have the latest firmware on my Toshiba HD-A2 and I have successfully burned RL HD-DVD discs using my PC and Windows software (Ulead's DVD Movie Factory 6+) which play fine without stuttering on my HD-A2.
I then decided to send the project to Compressor and use the 60 minute HD-DVD preset that encodes to H.264. Once again Compressor successfully executed the encode of my 23 minute slide show and it plays fine in QuickTime or MPEG StreamClip. However, every time I try and import this .mov file encoded in H.264 using the Compressor preset for HD-DVD into DVDSP4, DVDSP4 brings it in to the assets folder, but after a couple of seconds DVDSP4 crashes. Using console I get a message that DVDSP4 quit unexpectedly due to a "segmentation fault".
I also tried to take the ProRes Fotomagic project in Final Cut Pro 6.02 and send it out with Quicktime Conversion using the H.264 codec. Again I have a file that plays fine in QT, but when I try and import this .mov file into DVDSP4, I get the message "imcompatible format".
In summary, I am completely frustrated after many many hours of work at trying to prepare an HD-DVD on red laser of my slide show in DVDSP4. I cannot figure out what I am doing wrong, and I would be most appreciative of any suggestions anyone may have.
    Thanks in advance.
    Tom

Am I the only person who has ever tried to use the Presets in Compressor 3 for encoding HD-DVD disks? I would like to use these presets for burning HD-DVD's to standard red laser media as I have done on my PC. With the mpeg2 Preset I can get nothing but stuttering video when played back on my Toshiba HD-A2 and when I use Compressor 3 to encode with either of the H264 presets, the resulting .mov file causes DVDSP4 to crash when I import the file. Has no one else experienced this? Does anyone have any thoughts on addressing these issues other than to go back to working on my PC?

  • How to create a preset for computer output of 1024x768?

I just upgraded from Premiere Elements 1.0 (yes, 1! :) ) to PE7. I record user group meetings for my local software developers group. We have screen capture at 1024x768 pixels and audio.
In PE1 I had no trouble bringing this footage in, editing it and exporting it as 1024x768 for viewing online by the members.
However, I can't seem to find anyway to create a project preset for 1024x768. It seems I can only create SD, HD and similar.
When attempting to create a custom preset 90% of the values are pre-filled with settings and I can't change them. I see textboxes for the height and width but I can't change them.
Is this a limitation of PE7? Why in the world can I not create a video any size I want? Without this ability the upgrade is almost useless to me.
Please let me know because I feel like I must just be missing something.
    Thanks!
    Matt

    Hey Steve,
    Thanks for the reply.
I did see the 720p preset and this does produce a nice image. The SD preset made the output look muddy and the screen text was unreadable.
That being said, when importing my media into a project on the 720p preset I get the black letterbox bars on the side.
I did render a 10 second test area and changed the output size to 1024x768. I was afraid it would squash the entire video, but much to my surprise it just cropped it. So, while I have to work with the letterboxing I can output an actual 1024x768 video. I was also having a little trouble because I was using File - Export Movie to, well, export my movie. When I tried the Share task, set it to PC and changed the settings this was much easier and produced a much better result.
    Thanks for the help!
FYI, I use PE7 to export it as a wmv. I'm playing with Expression Encoder to then encoded this with VC-1 for Silverlight clients.

  • CS3 How to choose a Codec/extension wrapper and Preset for a project

    Goal
To create fanvideos from commercial DVDs for personal fair use.
Potential to use to promote a series in a social media campaign with permission of owner.
    Tools on Hand
Three seasons worth of the series ripped from commercial DVD --> .VOB format in TS Folders on my 2008 10.5.8 Mac using MacTheRipper
    FFMpegx CODEC pack.
CS3 Premierie Pro with Mac updates that were posted on the Adobe site.
So far I've been able to
I managed to use ffmpegx to convert my .vobs into .mp4s, which I then renamed as .movs to get Premiere to recognize it.  I managed to sync my audio with the mp4 encoder (may have been a H264 but not sure by changinge the frame-rate from ntsc film to ntsc.
    Problems I've encountered
I had admittedly been experimenting with different codecs and .exts, trying to find optimum quality:size:premiere/iDVD compability, so I had a variety of source footage in my project.  For some, I had to readjust the pixel aspect ratio.  But when i rendered/exported the final product...everything was squished and incorrect.  I had sound syncing issues for some of my trials, too.  Before I was trying to make things compatable with iDVD.  I no longer care about this and have no intention of burning anything with this project.
I saw things on the internet about using Encore's library of codecs, but couldn't find anything .dll on my computer.  I also have no idea how to use any of hte CS3 support software (bridge, extension manager, after affects)
Current steps I'd like to take
I'm starting over and converting my .vob files into something Adobe will recognize (a simple file name change didn't work in this instance).  I've read the different file types that Adobe PPro recognizes, but it's come to my attention that it prefers some file types to others.  Which extension wrappers are the least likely to cause headaches when trying to edit in Pro?
Out of those possible codecs and extension wrappers that are compatible, which are the best for fitting a lot of quality into a small filesize?  I heard good things about H264, but I don't know if the patch I dl'd will be enough to make it Adobe PrePro compatible (and I know there are a few different kinds of h264.  the only one i had any success with at all put it an mp4 mpeg container, but didn't end up being anything of a filesize savings compared to the other h264, which ended up being useless).  I have about 60 .vobs that are 2 GB big, and don't have an external hard drive yet, so this is a consideration.
How do I choose a preset for my new project?  These DVDs were released over the course of 3 years, and they don't all have the same specs in their native format (when I grab the info from DVD player, it's different).  Will I have better luck using different seasons if I convert them from .vobs to identical target file types?  I guess the better question is, when using 3 different types of files that are wrapped into .vobs, am I better off customizing the target file to match the file information DVD Player gives me for each different season....or trying to find specs that serve all three seasons best and have more uniform files imported into Premiere?  Eitherway, how do I know how to pick a Preset?  I try keeping a 16:9 or 16:9 DVD in my target files, but does that make it a widescreen project to start?  Once I start the project, is it too late to change these settings?
Thank you for helping a newbie.  I tried looking around for answers to each problem as I came across them, but eventually I got overwhelmed and threw my hands up, deleting everything.  I'm ready to ask for help and have a little patience.
*It's important for me to use free or very affordable 3rd party software, as I am currently unemployed.

You MAY want to think about a product that will read the output from your DVD player and convert to DV AVI
Matt with Grass Valley Canopus in their tech support department stated that the model
110 will suffice for most hobbyist. If a person has a lot of tapes that were played
often the tape stretches and the magnetic coding diminishes. If your goal is to encode
tapes in good shape buy the 110, if you will be encoding old tapes of poor quality buy
    the model 300
Both the 110 and 300 are two way devices so you may output back to tape... if you don't
need that, look at the model 55

  • Using Presets for Printing Panoramas

I have created a generic preset for printing panoramas on an Epson 4900 connected to a Mac with OS 10.8.4. Using the Epson printer driver's Page Setup via Lightroom 5, I reset the length of the panorama for each print and then update the Lightroom preset. Everything else in the preset is correct for my prints (paper, profiles, etc.).
I have, however, periodically had the problem that even after resetting the print length in the driver and updating the generic panorama preset, that the print is the wrong length (either too long or too short) even though all indications are that everything is set correctly (see below). This can occur even if I shutdown and restart Lightroom (I have also had this problem in LR4).
I would like to known how to correctly set up a panorama so paper is not wasted due to an incorrect length.
The following items appear to be set correctly:
    (1) Printer Driver Page Setup paper size
    (2) The Lightroom Preset for the generic panorama (Both the print size and paper size. I looked at the text of the preset settings via TextEdit) I note that there is binary information at the bottom of the Lightroom preset. Is that being correctly updated?
    (3) The print display in Lightroom (the image correctly fills the print template which is of the correct size)
    (4) The print cell size in Lightroom is the size I have set in the printer driver
The different sized panorams were printed on different days and the printer was turned off between those days. Cut sheet prints were also printed in between the panorams.
One panorama was 8 feet long but it was truncated at 39 inches twice before it printed correctly (after I restarted Lightroom but not the printer). The other was correctly printed 58 inches long but on 8 feet of paper (which was blank after the image).
I find it hard to believe the printer is remembering an old size (even after being powered off) but if Lightroom is not sending new information, I suppose that is possible.
    Allyn

    Hi Venu,
Don't know about best-practice, but you can do this by using the file adapter, using the "Run Operating System Command" to execute a print command on the file.
The file can be formatted in a mapping program.

    Bill

  • Presets for workflow

Hi, got deleted from Scott Kelby's site because I posted this? Got to wonder. Anyway, do any of you understand what I'm trying to say?
Lightroom presets for workflow. A basic starting point. First you will need your monitor calibrated. Lightroom 2. Photoshop CS3 or newer.
After working with Lightroom for about two weeks now. I found that there is a learning curve to working with develop settings and trying to find the best image. I took this up, because I was getting kind of flat looking results with lightroom only. Figured I needed a good starting base to work from.
Since I already had CS3, I took the raw file from lightroom and edited it to CS3 threw edit export. Then using curves in CS3, I used Scott Kelby's Method of working darks, mid-tones and highlights. From there I made any final tweaks opening up curves again.
Next saved the image and went back to lightroom 2. where it showed up as a PSD file. Next, I made a virtual copy of the (raw file) original and tried to match the same exposure, colour, contrast, etc. of the psd using lightroom. Making these adjustments in the develop module, mostly using Basic and Tone curves. After getting as close as possible to the settings I had made in curves with CS3 (psd file), I used the virtual copied clone file in lightroom to make a preset.
I called this preset "CS3 snap" and use it as my base starting point in lightroom. Works pretty good and I make tweaks from there when working with a new image. I think there is room for other presets in areas like hard backlight and Black N White.
Would like to know how other lightroom users are getting consistant results. Improving processes, techniques. Those of you who leave their email, I'll send you the preset free. I would send my blog link, but am afraid I might get deleted as spam. Would like to know how it works for others. Jon L

Honestly, does anyone here understand what I'm trying to say?
First, export a raw or dng file to CS3
Then make a good image in CS3-the best you can.
Next save it in PSD format, by just clicking the save button. This will take the changes back to lightroom.
Then, make another virtual copy of the original raw file.
Go and try and get the image to match, by using lightrooms setting sliders.
Once you have an a close match, save as a preset. One for standard images, and one for
    backlight images.
This should make every image easier to fine tune. You will have to do this for every camera you own. Jon

  • Very Long Lag at "Scanning for Plug-ins" in PS CS3

PS CS3 lags for several minutes while the splash screen displays "Scanning for Plug-ins". PS loads and seems to work properly after the 2 - 3 minutes lag, but it's annoying.
I have deleted the preferences file, the plug-ins cache file and even the entire settings file in PS. I've tried shift-ctl-alt. I've chkdsk'd my primary drive.
This is a fresh install on a new os install (winxp sp2, current updates).
Any ideas? I swapped mobos to improve performance and this is a drag.

Update: Connecting the scanners to complete driver initialization did not resolve the problem. Even rolling back my changes and removing the Nikon Scan and Epson Scan software did not resolve the slowdown at the PS plugin scan.
I noticed that the Epson software took 4 minutes to load when I ran the app (Epson Control Panel or something like that). This is really strange. I removed the scanner software but that has not resolved the problem. I do have a network HP all-in-one. (OfficeJet 7310xi). Does that have twain drivers? Nothing shows up under scannners in control panel.
This is really weird. My system has a dual-core processor and 4 gig of memory.

I've installed CC and wanted to make presets for cropping. Like 20 by 30 300PPI and more sizes.
But when I want to choose one of them, there only appears one size for all.
How can I make it work? Somebody can help me please?
    Thanks, Judith

  • Presets for M2TS Files

I've been struggling with quality issues when using my JVC HD7 and Premiere. I've been using MPEGStreamClip to convert the TOD files to DV to edit in Premiere, but I got a lot of swimming in the shadows. Yesterday I came across this post http://www.adobeforums.com/webx/.59b7b7e7?@@
and realized I could rename the file, and it gave me much better quality to boot. My only issue now is the renamed file file has to be rendered for me to be able to work on it. I was still using the preset for dv files.
What settings would you folks suggest I use to be able to work on files without rendering. I'm shooting in SD. My machine is only a dual core. I'm using Windows 7 64X with 3Gigs of RAM.
    Any help would be appreciated.

  • LR4.1 preset for sharpening darkens pictures

    Hello,
the Adobe presets delivered with LR4 for sharpening include a command line which forces a switch to the new process engine "2012" or ProcessVersion = "6.7".  I do not understand why Adobe allows a general preset to include a process version change command.
As a result, these sharpening presets can not be used on photos from an older LR3.x catalog without affecting the exposure or brightness - if you do, the picture exposure or brightness or whatever is set to lower settings, the histogram shows a darkening of about 2/3 aperture. Unfortunately, as the exposure changes, no slider or number value of the exposure, brightness etc. do change - very inconsistent.
In case you would choose to develop an older photo in LR4.1 and first use the upate icon button right of the picture to update the photo to process version 2012, then the picture will convert without changes in exposure (to the new process version) and then, the sharpening preset will not alter the exposure.
Also, it is hard to understand that the command line in the preset has a different result compared to the update button.
Presets seem to be dependent on certain process versions.  No consideration is visible in the software for upgrade of change management of presets vs. process versions.  A hard switch by command line does not to the job - this command line should not be in the preset.  OR - the presets have to be named "LR4.1 presets only".
I consider this behaviour to be a bug or nonconformity of the software.
Mostly confused. I will have to manage all manually, with a catalog of approx. 35.000 pictures.
    Any resolution to this?
    Gerd

There are a number of LR4 Develop presets That apply PV2012 without doing the develop conversion process. This sure looks like a bug to me!
I agree with Rob that there should be a "warning" popup and proper conversion if you choose to proceed.
You can submit a bug report here:
    http://feedback.photoshop.com/photoshop_family
For now your easiest solution is to create your own develop presets, or copy LR3's presets by 'Import' into a 'New Folder' titled 'LR3 Presets inside the LR4 Develop module 'Presets' panel.
    http://blogs.adobe.com/lightroomjournal/2012/04/updating-develop-presets-for-lightroom-4-2 .html
I just tried it on my Windows 7 LR4.1 and the LR3 presets work fine in LR4. It looks like they also include PV2010 as part of the LR3 preset, so make sure you don't use them with any LR4 PV2012 processed images. LR3 must be installed (or reinstalled) to 'Import' the LR3 develop presets into LR4.
Here's the path on Windows 7 to 'Import' the LR3 presets inside LR4's Develop module:
    C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Lightroom\Develop Presets\Lightroom Presets
The new 'LR3 Presets' folder will also show up in LR3's Develop preset panel. Simply ignore it if you still use LR3, but don't delete the folder.

  • Presets for size on PSE 12

On the old Photoshop Elements 2.0, when I opened New, there were several presets for the size, like A4, A3 etcetera. On Elements 12 I can't find these options. Do I simply have to type in 21 cm and 29,7 cm for A4 or is there anothe solution? Thanks in advance for your reaction!

  • Presets for 720p 60 and 1080p 30?

I'm trying to figure out the correct project presets in Premere Elements 8 to use for video created using a Contour HD camcorder.  The files it produces are .mov files using the H.264 codec with AAC audio.  The camcorder will output either 720p at 30 or 60fps or 1080p at 30fps.
I have been able to edit the 720p 30fps files using the HDV 720p 30 preset with fairly good results.  However, looking through the list of project presets I'm not sure what to choose for 720p 60 or 1080p 30.  Is there a way to be able to edit these formats in PE8?

If I go that route, I'm assuming that I would lose video quality since I would be converting to a format that has a lower resolution.  I would like to keep the videos in HD quality if possible.
After doing some more digging, I came across this post that provided additional presets for progressive video formats:

Using the preset for "AVCHD Full HD 1080p 30" I was able to directly import a 1080p file from my camcorder, edit it, and export it as a 1080p .mp4 file.  I think this should do the trick and allow me to edit my videos without converting them first.
Is this the best way to do this, or would there still be some benefit to doing an external conversion first?  Is there any drawback to selecting either AVCHD or HDV as the project format when the source files are not either of those formats?  Things seem to be working correctly now, but I suppose I would like to understand what is actually going on to avoid future headaches.
    Thanks!
