Prevent entry of negative number in input ready field

Hello,
In layout, in quantity input-ready fields, planner should not enter any negative number, if he tries to do so or by mistake, system should give error message.
is this possible in BI-IP planning layout for input-ready fields ??
thanks,

Hi Jasmi;
Sorry the late answer...
Regarding your first question... you can built a function module to do the same. However, in this area I don't have ABAP knowhow to help you.
There is no standard way to do it. This means definitions on the query or a formula.
second question... in SE91 you had create a class message (like my example ZBI_IP) and a message number (in my example 004). Don't forget to add the text "no negative values allowed" to the message.
I forgot to add (sorry again) the E of E004 means Error. If you want you can put W as warning. If Error the sequence of formulas stops. If Warning it continues (but it's better you double check).
Reading the code...
FOREACH ECON, FUND,PROJ.
IF { YORCINIC, ECON, C_PL,NP_AC} < 0.
MESSAGE E004(ZBI_IP).
ENDIF.
If I have a combination of ECON, FUND and PROJ for KF YORCINIC where the value is less than 0, the system presents the Error message 004 of the class message ZBI_IP.
Tell me if this is good for you;
Kind regards;
Ricardo

  • Focus for the input ready field in table

    Hi,
    i have few questions
    1. i have table with tool bar button "add row" when i click that it will add a row with input ready field,  but here i need scroll down for that, but what i need is it should automatically put the focus on it. please suggest how can i do that.
    2.  I have save button, when ever user enters improper input in the above input ready fields, i am giving error message, problem is it is clearing my table data at the same time, Please suggest where should i raise the error message.
    3. i need two columns to be fixed in the table, while scrolling horizontally.
    Please give your suggestions.

    Hi,
    Check the component for example wdr_test_table for COLUMN SCROLLING.
    If you have 15 columns to be shown. Set the first 2 columns as (LEFT as fixed) and scrol count as 4.
    For the first 2 columns set the property FIXED POSITION as LEFT and for table property scrollable colcount as 5.
    Then you will get the scrolling adn also columns as fixed.

  • How to use Query-views as input-ready

    I have a input-ready query working fine saying the IP field is input-ready, and a value can be entered.
    If I save the query as a query-view and want to use the view instead, the input-ready field change to 'not input-ready'.
    Hence, can query views not be used in IP ?
    Thanks in advance, Mikkel

    Hello,
    My first question is can Apex 3.1 work with 9.2 - 10.1 - 10.2 and 11.1?Correct. That's said in the installation guide.
    My second question is how can I open the Query Builder inside the Create Region>SQL Report wizard to my users inside a custom user defined form?This does not yet exist out of the box. You can have a look how Oracle did it and try to mimic it in your own application.
    My third question is if the answer of second question is it is not possible, then anyone can advice on alternatives for this kind of a need with Apex?Import app 4500 in your own workspace. On page 1002 you should find the query builder.
    Again you can't just run this, you would need to make customizations to it. Alternatively you can add just a textarea on a page where you can run SQL statements from. But I guess you want to have the graphical display?
    My last question is how Apex can handle a distributed database environment, like Java applications can it open several database connections as needed?APEX is living in the Oracle database. So everything inside that database you can potentially work with. If you need data from other sources you can use a database link or hytrogenous connectivity. Basically if you can do it from the Oracle database, you can also do it from within APEX.

  • Input Ready Query without unit / currency

    HI ,
    In my input ready query, it is enabling along with the unit / currency. How to show the input ready query without unit / currency
    if I use NODIM() function, it is not possible to creating input ready field.
    Please suggest me is there any way to create input ready field without unit / currency.
    Thanks and regards
    Rajesh

    HI Hyma,
    1.use the currency / unit field in the filter or drilldown
    In this case if the query may have more than 2 fileds which are input ready having differnt unit/ currency, for Ex: Amount = Quantity * Rate
    Currency for amount and Rate is INR and for Quantity is Tonnes. if I restrict both INR & TO in filter, in the system it will store both currency and unit for amount, rate and quantity.
    HI Andrey,
    2. 0CURRENCY or any currency IO that you use in ROWS of query
    In this case also, if I use only one type of currency/unit as input ready then it is fine,, but in my query I want to use more then one currency/unit at a time.(As above Example)
    Please suggest me how to solve this...
    Regards
    Rajesh

  • Restriction data entry for input ready query

    Dear All,
    I have an input ready query with two structures for rows and columns.
    However, I have set one of columns' structure's member as "data can be changed with planning functions", i'm able to enter data for that column. When i execute save function, entered valus are being disapperaed.(not benig written to the cube)
    But i want to restrict data entrance for that column. (Like display functionality in BPS)
    I know i can protect fields with excel functionality, but we are using web environment.
    How can i resolve mentioned issue?
    Thanks
    Alkan

    Hi Bindu,
    Thanks for your quich answer.
    In web environment, i think i need to use WEB API.
    Do i need to write java script? Or is there any particular class to manage the properties of the cells?

  • Actual values & Plan Values Entry in the same Input Ready Query

    Hi Gurus,
    I have a problem about preparing input ready queries with combination of actual data and plan data together. Forexample :
    I want to plan my sales quantity for estimate months ( 9,10,11,12 ). But in same query, i want to show sales quantities in actual months (1.....8 ) .  I have one key figure : Sales Quantity and two versions : Actual and Plan. And restrictions are like below :
    Actual Sales :
    Key figure : Sales Quantity
    Version : Actual
    Fiscal Periods : 9,10,11,12
    Fiscal year : 2008
    (values cannot be changed)
    Plan Sales :
    Key figure : Sales quantity
    Version : Plan
    Fiscal Periods : 1.....8
    Fiscal Year : 2008
    (values can be changed by inputs or planning functions)
    I did those restrictions to key figures in ''columns''  area in BEX Query Designer. And i also added 0FISCPER3 to ''columns'' area in order to see periods in query.
    I expect to see a 12 months period, which has 8 months actual and 4 months open for planning.
    But when i execute the query, it shows me two 12 months periods. Like, Actual Sales 1......12 and following Plan Sales 1.....12 side by side.  But i want to combine those two 12 months periods in one year.
    Where do i make mistake? or is it how system works?
    I would really appreciate for your answers.
    Thanks,
    Fatih...

    Hi,
    Actions in details:
    1. Run BEx Analyzer, connect to the system;
    2. Open the workbook;
    3. Workbook is opened, press the button "Design Mode";
    4. ALT+F11 for opening VB Editor;
    5. Insert new module "Module1" in project of my workbook (not in BExAnalyzer.xla);
    6. Write the code of macros "ON_BEX_REFRESH";
    7. Close the VB Editor window;
    8. BEx Analyzer window is still in design mode, press the button "Workbook Settings";
    9. In "General" tab mark the checkbox "Refresh Workbook on Open";
    10. In "Exits" tab mark the radiobutton "Invoke macro on refresh" and write "ON_BEX_REFRESH" in the textbox;
    11. Press the button "Attach Macros", appears the message "VBA Macros have been succesfully Attached to the Workbook", press OK for accepting the message;
    12. Press "OK" to close the Workbook Settings window;
    13. Press the button "Exit Design Mode";
    14. Click on right mouse button on table (on inserted query), choose "Transfer Values";
    15. If macros is working, press "Save Workbook".
    I'm using BEx Support Package 16. Therefore it is possible, if I remember correctly, that in older versions of BEx the names of some tabs in workbook settings are different.
    If you are using older version of BEx and these 14 steps don't help you, then try to do the following in next steps:
    15. Press the button "Design Mode";
    16. Open Analysis Grid Properties (select table, click on right mouse button, properties);
    17. In 'General' tab do so that none checkbox is marked;
    18. Press OK;
    19. Press the button "Exit Design Mode";
    20. Click on right mouse button on table (on inserted query), choose "Transfer Values";
    If now macros is working then you can start to find out which checkboxes you can mark and which have to be unmarked in Analysis Grid Properties.
    In my case 3 checkboxes is marked: "Apply Formatting"; "Allow Navigation"; "Display Hierarchy Icons". As I mentioned above it is in BEx SP16, if you have older version then you have to find out the checkboxes which you can use, which not.

  • Input ready query - not ready for input

    I have created the following in IP:
    1. A multiprovider based on an actuals cube (Standard infocube) and a plan cube (realtime - data can be planned not loaded).
    2. An Aggregation level on the multiprovider - containing infoobjects: 0version, employee, WBS element, infoprovider, fiscal year, fiscal year variant, 0currency and 0amount.
    3. A filter on the following infoobjects: employee (=123456), wbs element(XX.XX.XXX.X), version (variable - mandatory; ready for input), fiscal year(2008) and fiscal year variant(XX).
    4. A planning function to copy from version 0 (actual) to version 866 (random Value - Master data exists).
    I have created a query on the multiprovider and set the query properties correctly. I have also created two restricted key figures as follows:
    1. Actual (Restricted by infoprovider = actual; version = 0; fy = 2007; fyvar = XX)
    2. Plan   (Restricted by infoprovider = plan  ; version = input-ready variable; fy = 2008; fyvar = XX)
    I have used all the infoobjects in the agg. level in the query. I am using the same version number (866) on the query selection screen as defined in the filter.
    When I run the query, I can see only the actuals line. The plan keyfigure is not ready for input (although keyfigure properties are set to "Data can be changed using user entries or planning functions).
    What am I doing wrong which is preventing the plan keyfigure from opening up for planning?
    I have also tried to create an agg. level on the plan infocube with similar settings as above. When I run the query, I get a no data found result - which I think is right because there is no data in the planning cube.
    PS: When I use the wizard in the planning modeler the keyfigure (0amount) can be changed.

    Hi Avya,
    Use a filter on the 0currency, for a particular currency type. (if problem is: currency type keyfigures are not input ready)
    This will mak it input ready.

  • Input-ready query; Layout dependant on variable value

    Hello,
    I need to create an input-ready query where I have months Jan-Dec in colums. If the planner gives a variable value for the planning period for example April, he should get a layout where he can plan for April-Dec and view the values for Jan-March. How can I create this kind of input-ready-query? Thanks in advance. Points will be assigned.
    Regards,
    Marika

    Hi Marika,
    Step1: You need to create a variable (with user restriction), you can provide fixed values for all months of the year, perhaps on 0CALMONTH.  You will get the text displayed when you select the month number in the planning folder where u use it. Say WM1 is the name you gave.
    Step2: Create 2 exit variables.  1st one would check the entry by the user from WM1.  If the period is > January, store all the months starting from January to the month preceeding to one selected in WM1.  Set this as WM2.
    In the second exit variable, the code must check for which month user has selected to start planning from and store all months starting from and ending December in it. Set this as WM3.  You will have to create these 2 variables on 0CALMONTH again.
    Step3: Now, in the Layout builder, 1st screen, for the additional settings, in the data columns tab, select 0CALMONTH for dynamic.
    Step4: In the second screen of Layout builder, create 2 rows for the data column settings.  First row would be set for comparison. Check dynamic box. Assign WM2 as the variable for 0CALMONTH here.
    Second row would be for planning, but check dynamic box here again and assign WM3 as the variable for 0CALMONTH here.
    You must be having WM1 as the variable in header.
    In the 3rd screen you will find just 2 data columns displayed.
    When you run the layout, user prompt will insist you input the desired month and layout on further opening, will bring in the desired data as you require from the Cube.
    I hope you have ur actuals and plan data both in the same cube.  Else you have to assign separate cubes for plng area in comparison and plan settings in the 2nd screen of builder.
    Hope this will help solve ur problem.
    Regards,
    Aby

  • How to create an Input Ready Query in Bex Excel with no transact data

    Hi
    We created a query where we want the user to put in NEW LINES. This query has in general no data when user starts planning.
    We have 2 front-ends for this, Bex Web and Excel. Both shows initial 'no data available
    BexWeb': Implementing the command set_data_entry_mode we get all the relevant columns for the input
    Excel: Command set_data_entry_mode or set_input_mode does not allow the users to insert new lines. Still error message pops up 'no data available'
    Do you have a solution for that ?
    Regards,
    Thomas

    Hi Gregor,
    In the note 1149346 that you have mentioned, it says -
    You must start the input-ready query in change mode.
    BEx Analyzer: In the properties of the analysis grid, the switch
    "Suppress new rows" must not be set.  Furthermore,
    the switch "Allow entry of plant values"
    must be set in the local query properties.
    I have not seen this setting Allow entry of plant values in a query - can you tell what is refers to?

  • Problem with customer exit variable that is input ready as well

    Hello all,
    I'm facing an issue with a customer exit variable that again has been defined as input ready. I'm not sure why it is working incorrectly and I#m wondering if this is a bug or if I do s.th. stupid.
    The problem is that in the exit program ZXRSRU01 this varibale does not go into the program code I have prepared for this variable. I have added entry points for all three i_step values 1,2,3, but the code will never be touched and in debugging I can see that it simply pypasses the code for this variable.
    I have tried to enter a value or to leave it blank, no difference.
    When I run another test by just using a customer exit variable w/o input ready capability, then I have no issue, the exit does exactly what I have coded.
    Does this mean, that a customer exit variable along with input readiness dows not work ?????
    You may ask why I need this variable. Well, my intention is to use the input value of this variable A to derive other values for a complete different variable B. Afterwards I want to erase the input given into variable A to have it blank.
    Any comments are appreciated
    Thanks

    Hi Heiko,
    I assume A & B variables are defined on different Characteristics. If you wish to derive B based on A, you can create the Query Characteristic Restriction on B & have a dummy RKF restricted on A whose processing is by Manual Input; where processing of B is by Customer Exit. In istep 2 you can check for B, read A & derive B. There would not be a need to blank out A since the Query would not be restricted on A - you can hide the dummy RKF from showing in the output. Just a thought.

  • Formula Functions are not working for Input Ready Key Figure

    Hi all,
    I have created an Input Ready report in BI IP, which is containg number of Characteristics / Key Fig. / Formula Functions.
    Here, when I am executing this report, it is throwing below message only for formula functions I am using in the report (where Qty is INPUT READY). Since, by-default formula functions always remain "Not Input Ready"
    "WARNING BRAIN (160): Total Importl / APR
    Qty cannot be input ready. It is formula element.".
    Best Regards,
    Jatin

    Thank you for your kind reply.
    Actually, the issue I am facing here is with formula functions (NOT INPUT READY) which I am using in the report is colliding with Qty (INPUT READY) and throwing error during execution (Not giving me even variable screen).
    And also, when I try to change an existing report. It opens in Display mode only.
    Please help!
    Best Regards,

  • Input Readiness of Query with optional variables

    Hi,
    I built one input ready query which is input ready upon execution with only one set of selections, for any other set of selections, it is not input ready.Query is built on aggregation level on the top of multiprovider. There are no data slices built, No lock entries in RSPLSE as well. Is it like if a variable in the selection screen of the query is optional, will it be moved to free characteristic and because of that input readiness of the query will disappear?? In my case, country is authorized variable which is optional. Please let me know if any one has solution for this.
    Thanks,
    Bindu

    Hi,
    Check if:
    1. You have added characteristic InfoProvider in filter area and restricted that to your plan cube?
    2. Any Keyfigure in query will have input-ready cell only if all the characterictics in the aggregation level of that query has unique values for that cell.
    In your case you have moved Country to free characteristic area and might have not provided any value for it as it's optional. So system is not finding a unique value for this characteristic for input-ready cells.
    Enter value for Country variable and then execute, query will be input-ready.

  • Syntax error when creating input-ready query

    Hi,
    When creating an input-ready query, I set the key-figure to 'Data can be changed by user entries or Planning Functions' in the Planning Properties in the query designer.
    When I execute the query, I get the following error:
    Syntax Error in : CL_RSR_RRK0_KEYFIGURE
    In se24, the class has a syntax error in its Constructor method.
    The error is not occuring when I change the Planning property to 'Data Cannot be changed' or 'Data can be changed via Planning Functions'.
    Has anyone encountered such an error. If yes, how to proceed further?
    Anything do with the the ABAP Patches. Currently I am in Patch13.
    Thanks,
    Balaji

    Hi,
    Plz apply the notes 1042924 and 1043103.After appling the notes regenerate the
    query.
    This should solve the error.

    Hi Patrícia
    first check in transaction SNOTE that there are no inconsistent notes (no lightning icons). If not, tell your basis team to fix it.
    Then check in transaction SPAU that there are no inconsistent objects (everything must be green). If not, tell your basis team to fix it.
    Next implement all notes that are listed as "side effects" in note SAP note 1101187 .
    Finally, generate the plan query  again in transaction RSRT. b
