Preventive Maint Plan for Similar Equipment
Dear ALL
I hv 100 similar tpye of equipment. I want to create one maintenance plan for all equipment and want to assign all the equipment in that paln. But problem is when i shedule the plan, plan date is same for all the eqipment but its not possible to comlete all the equipement in single day.
So how i map my all equipment in one maintenance plan when i shedule the plan diffrent plan date occur for different equipment.
Regards
Neelam
hi
For your requirement it will be better if you create seperate maintenance plan for different equipment, since the cycle or counter specified for the maintenance plan is common for all the equipments your planned date will be same .hence it is better to create individual plan for individual equipment

Preventive maintenance plan along with operations with frequency
Hi gurus,
I want tables or T code which can give me Preventive maint plan along with operations with frequency as a list view.
I tried ip19, ip24 but results are not satisfactory to me.
Can anyone suggest me the answer.

Do you have any solution for this? -
Maintenance plans for Backward counter
Is it possible for having a preventive maintenance plan for a measurement point that counts backwards?
Your inputs on this will be appreciated!Help !
I am looking for help with Counters and Timers and using them with a Maintenance Plan. We have about 10 count down timers mounted in one of our facilities. These timers are tied to the machine and measures the time until a mini or major PM will occur. These count down timers were previously used with the old CMMS system to assist in the scheduling of maintenance activities. We have recently converted them from the old CMMS to SAP PM but I am struggling with getting the count down timers to work in SAP. These timers are reset at 5000 hrs and as the machine operates, time is removed from the timer. A technician periodically reports these times to the system for scheduling purposes.
I have created the Measurement Point for a Functional Location.
I have identified that it is a counter.
I have it identified that it Counts Backwards.
When I try to assign this measurement point to a Maintenance Plan, I get the error "Only counters that run forwards can be entered"
How can I use the countdown timers to create pre configured (PM) work orders?
Thanks in advance. -
Scheduling for certain Equipment only from a maint. plan
Hello,
I have maintained many Equipment as separate line item in a Main. Plan. While scheduling, I donèt see option to select certain Equipment only.
I would like to maintain one or few main. plan, one each for a set of equipment. And then call a few from that one set of equipment. E.g. Total Equipment 120,000. 10 types each 120,000. Thus 10 maint. plans. Call Type I/Maint. Plan 1 and Schedule 1-10,000 on Jun 1. Call Type 2/Main Plan 2 and Schedule 10,001-20,000 on Jul 1 and so on.
Any suggestion please! There is no way to do equipment wise scheduling in IP30. you have to create separate maintenance plans equipment wise and try using sort field in additional so that you can schedule maintenance plan bit easily.

Options for a Weekly Inspection for an Equipment record using Maint Plans
Hi,
We have a requirement to create a Weekly Inspection for an equipment record.
Can anybody provide me what options are available through Maintenance Plans/Items/Strategies.Why not create a single-cycle plan using a 7 day cycle.
You can then add multiple maintenance items for each equipment. Alternatively use one maintenance item and the Object list

CBO generating different plans for the same data in similar Environments
Hi All
I have been trying to compare an SQL from 2 different but similar environments build of the same hardware specs .The issue I am facing is environment A, the query executes in less than 2 minutes with plan mostly showing full table scans and hash join whereas in environment B(problematic), it times out after 2 hours with an error of unable to extend table space . The statistics are up to date in both environments for both tables and indexes . System parameters are exactly similar(default oracle for except for multiblock_read_count ).
Both Environment have same db parameter for db_file_multiblock_read_count(16), optimizer(refer below),hash_area_size (131072),pga_aggregate_target(1G),db_block_size(8192) etc . SREADTIM, MREADTIM, CPUSPEED, MBRC are all null in aux_stats in both environment because workload was never collected i believe.
Attached is details about the SQL with table stats, SQL and index stats my main concern is CBO generating different plans for the similar data and statistics and same hardware and software specs. Is there any thing else I should consider .I generally see environment B being very slow and always plans tend to nested loops and index scan whereas what we really need is a sensible FTS in many cases. One of the very surprising thing is METER_CONFIG_HEADER below which has just 80 blocks of data is being asked for index scan.

How to display field SZAEH (Start Counter Reading) in IP01 for Maint Plan
Please let me know how i can configure field SZAEH (Start Counter Reading) to be displayed for data entry in IP01 for Maint Plan creation. I tried Tcode OIW0 but cou;dn't succeed.
ALl the help will be appreciatedJain,
The start counter reading will automatically comeup in the scheduling parameter screen , if the maintenance plan is tied to a counter. Isnt this not coming up?

FM or BAPI to change Maintenance plant and Planning Plant for an equipment
Hi Experts,
I need to change the Maintenance plant and Planning Plant for an equipment. Is there FM or BAPI available for the same?
Thanks,
Peri.what doesn't it do the same ? it contains planning plant and maintenance plant which you can update ??
if you expect that SAP delivers custom functions for every possible question a developer has you can better search for an other job. SAP makes generic functions and you can use them for you're own sollutions.
it is also expected that you try to work things out for you're own sollution.
you can find sample code quickly enough if you search where the function is used
like RISTEQ01

Does Apple have any plans for a similar app as Samsung S Drive?
Does Apple have any plans for a similar app as Samsung S Drive?
Samsung recently released 'S-Drive' - an app for their Samsung Galaxy program which only allows certain features to be used when driving. I much prefer my Apple iPhone, but as my children grow up, this is much safer. Thoughts?Ah, sorry fellas, and thanks for clarifying that for me. I thought Apple would also have tech's who monitor / respond in these forums. My bad. Cheers though... and let's see what they (might) do.
Is there any way to encourage them / let them know of apps such as this and that it might be a good thing? -
PP workcenter blocking by PM preventive Maintenance Plan
Hi Friends and Experts,
Giving the system cond "0" in Task list header data is not showing any impact on PP work center, i mean that PP work center is not getting loaded. This is working only when i mention 0 in the the header data of maint order.
Can we know whether a workcenter is planned for preventive maintenance on any sunday or holiday in advance before the maintenance order is created.
can any body throw some light.

guruHi Sankar,
Mentioning the PP work center in your Equipment Master & mentioning 0 in task list header of that equipment. So that when Maintenance Guy will create a Maintenance plan & assign the relevant task list to that plan, then immediately after scheduling you will be able to see the forthcoming dates when your PP workcenter is blocked for maintenance.

Mansoor.dear Pushpa,
ya it is for palnt maintenance and for "preventive maintenance" planning and scheduling jobs.
u mean cover the equipments in equal number og maint-plans, cover all such plans in / under one maint-item.
now we have in way that one maint plan has more than one maint-item, and we are getting many work orders may be equal to number of maint-items, but our maint engineers want that all those being done at same time, so why not we make one work-order - but it should maintain equipment history.
i notice you are proposing opposit to what we have now.
In your proposed way will the equipment hisotry will be maintained for each equipment, that PM was called on --, planned for -- and completed on -- has been done. -

kindly provide me T-CODES.

g.v.shivakkumarShivakumar,
Use transaction "IW38" to select all PM orders for the month. The selection can be based on specific "order type", Status ", "Equipment"/ "Functional Location" or " "maintenance plan" with period interms of date.
Hope this helps...Reward your points and close the thread.

SAP PM - Deactivating/Dismantling Equipments - effects on Preventive Maint.
Dismantling a piece of equipment means uninstalling it from its current installation location. It may be done in order to:
1. Install it at a different location.
2. Indicate that the equipment is not in operational use and is going to be stored at some storage location for a while. Some other equipment will be installed in its place.
In case 2, the equipment is not subject to breakdown maintenance. However, preventive maintenance may still be carried out. The scheduled preventive maintenance plans will keep generating call objects for this equipment.
But, preventive maintenance may not be needed to be carried out for certian kinds of equipments while they are not in operational use. To stop generation of call objects agaisnt such equipments, we Deactivate the equipment master record alongwith Dismantling it. Call objects are not generated for equipments that are deactivated and hence no preventive maintenance will be carried out until they are Re-installed and Activated.
I need to know if we are handling things in accordance with standard practices by following the measures described above. Secondly, I am concerned about the validity of the assumption that whether preventive maintenance is needed for a certian uninstalled equipment depends on the kind of equipment it is (electrical, mechanical or whatever).
Any help in this regard will be highly appreciated.

Hi friends ,
I have one equipment for which different maint tasks i have to perform
Sr no Check point description frequency
1 Replace Hyd pp RL filter 4 weeks
2 Replace GB oil for X axis mechanism 3 months
3 Chk flywheel motor current 15 days
4 Clean heat exchanger if outlet water temp is more than 70 degrees
5 Lubricate flywheel brg after every 200 running hours
Is it possible with one maint plan or i have to apply diff plans
Can i include all tasks in same task list
plz Suggest.A maintainance plan has maitainance items.
Attach this equipment to each maitainance items & attach task list pertaining to each equipment.
But when you want to schedule them differently I think you need different maintainance plans with different cycle duration.
