Preview functionality in swing

Hi
I have a Jtable with 4 columns(Doc Name,Doc Type,Date Created,Preview).In the last column i have to include the functionalty to preview the document.Can any body tell me where to start from?I mean how i can implement preview functionality in Swing?

You need to create a panel and draw on it just like you would do when using a printer device. Then place this panel in the table.

If you're trying to create an article that scrolls vertically, you can create a 768x1296 article in a 1024x768 folio, but you need to select a Smooth Scrolling option when you create or import the article, or in the Article Properties dialog box.

How to disable Purchase Order Print Preview function in the Portal

We wish to expose some purchase order functions in our SAP Portal 7.0. The problem is that when we run any of the purchase order transactions as SAPGUI for HTML, the Print Preview function displays the full purchase order. This means that any user who wishes to short cut processes can display and then print a purchase order before it has been approved if they use the Portal to display the purchase order.
If the purchase order transaction is run from the normal SAPGUI, the Print Preview function only displays the top of the purchase order and the print function is disabled. Has anyone tackled this problem before and worked out a way of stopping users from using the Print Preview function to display purchase orders in the Portal and then print them?

How to use mousedown applet function in swing?

is there any way to use it or any other alternative is available for this?

OTOH a Swing JApplet inherits the mouseDown method from Component, and it was deprecated in Java 1.1. The documentation (JavaDocs) provides instructions on what to use instead.

Preview function doesn't work in Cap2

I just installed Captivate2. In the project I'm working on,
the Preview function doesn't work. Or rather, it works
sporadically... sometimes it does, and --- much more often -- it
does not. What happens instead is, the "generating slides" message
appears, and the progress-bar begins, but then suddenly the
message/progress window disappears, WITHOUT generating the swf file
and without doing any kind of preview. It happens on all the
various options of the Preview function.
It does work about one time in every ten attempts.
This surely isn't acceptable... Anyone else encountering
this???

By chance have you fiddled with the slide properties of any
of the slides? One of the new options available in version 2 is to
apply navigation options that cause slides to behave certain ways.
So it stands to reason that if a slide was configured to jump to
the end of the movie and the end of the movie option was to close
the movie... Well, hopefully you see what I mean.
Another question I would have is where are you editing your
project? Are you possibly saving it to the company LAN and editing
it using Captivate to make edits while in that location? If so,
this is normally bad practice. Try moving the project locally and
see if the issue resolves.

Preview function disabled when importing P2 clips located on ext HD

Hello,
I'm using FCP 5 on a Macbook Pro and an ext HD scratch disc.
When I try to use the preview function when importing a P2 clip located on the ext HD scratch disc the preview function is disabled and I cannot view the clip in the viewer.
However when I transfer the P2 clip onto my Macbook Pro I am able to view the clip in the viewer.
This has recently started happening and I'd be very grateful if anyone has a solution or settings recommendation for me. Thank you for your help with this one - I'm driving myself nuts!

Thank you for your help w/ this. Actually the Apple store in Beverly Hills, CA made the recommendation, and sold me this particular brand of hard drive. I told them what I needed it for and they said this was best for the application. I'm sure they'd be delighted to know that the products they carry and recommend are equated w/ Costco photo back up stuff! This has quite made my day.
The bizarre part is that suddenly the preview function was disabled after working perfectly, and I'm not sure I changed anything in my settings either.
Thanks for the heads-up on daisy-chaining the hard drives, I won't do it again.

Add Print Preview function in FB03

Hi Gurus,
I have a requirement to add the print preview function to view payment voucher in FB03.
The scenario is such that whenever user enter the document number in FB03 or access vendor line item (FBL1N) and double click on the line item, system will direct them to FB03 screen. Therefore whenever user does that, they will be able to see the print preview function to view payment voucher and thus print it as and when required.
Currently they have only the spool to view and print and spool could not keep the items for a long time. Therefore this requirement exists.
Thus are there any ways that I could attach a print preview function to the standard SAP FB03? or how do I provide them the view function as and when they need it in the system. The users do not want to have a customise program to have them enter the document number, company code in order to view. They want the function to exist concurrent to the document number anytime whenever they want it.
Need advice.

Many thanks for your assistance.
First of all when user run F110, there will be a payment voucher generated together and this will be stored in the spool but spool can only store the information for a certain period of time. This payment voucher has the document number attached to it. Hence the users requirement is that they would want to view the payment voucher as and when required either from vendor line item (FBL1N) or FB03. Currently, there are no such button in FBL1N or FB03 which allow to view payment voucher.
Therefore how can I attach the payment voucher to those accounting document for the users whenever they run vendor line item or FB03 on an ad hoc basis?
They do not want a customise program to key in the document number and view the payment voucher from there. It is double work for them and as such to attach a print preview function to either FBL1N or FB03.

Prev "previewed" files in 10.6 dont scale via "show icon preview" function

1. use DropIcon 3.0.2 under a lower version of OSX than 10.6
2. import your "preview built" files into 10.6 (notice also that files that have a preview built into them are larger in file size than the same file which doesnt have it)
3. scale a folder full of images to for example - 180 px squared
4. notice that 10.6 cant build a new preview based on the new size
how to "show icon preview" files which have been previously "preview built" by apps like DropIcon 3.0.2 ?

You may not think of icons as 512x512, but Apple now does. The transition started in Leopard, and is now complete--pretty much all of Apple's icons will now go to 512pixels in the various and sundry places they are displayed, from window views for Icon, CoverFlow, and the preview pane of Column view, to the GetInfo preview, to Spotlight results displayed in icon view.
As to your own custom thumbnails: if, as mentioned previously, you used Photoshop with the option to save a custom thumbnail, or you used a dedicated program to save a custom thumbnail for an image file, then those custom thumbnails were added to the image file as a resource fork. WAY back such custom thumbnails were 32x32 pixels. In the more recent past they were 128x128. Indeed, that is still the size used by Photoshop when it adds a custom thumb.
If the Finder is displaying any view that shows a preview of the file it will either display the custom thumb that is part of the file, if one is present, or draw its own preview if no custom thumb is embedded in the file. And if it uses the custom thumbs they will NOT scale upwards in any pretty way, beyond whatever their original size was--they'll just get pixalated. The advantage, if you don't need to be able to scale up to 512, is that the display of a folder full of images with custom thumbs is instantaneous, while a folder full of images without custom thumbs may take a noticeable amount of time for all of the previews to be drawn (you can see them appearing as you scroll the folder). The disadvantage to custom thumbs, as you have discovered, is that they don't scale well. If you want to be able to scale the preview thumbnails in various Finder views, you need to remove the custom thumbnails you have added, either via the save option in Photoshop, or with your third party program. You can't tell Finder to ignore them: if they are present Finder assumes you want it to use them, rather than its own preview function.

Acrobat 8 on iMac: Preview Function Not Supported?

I just tried to use the Preview function under Print in Acrobat and it says that Preview is not supported. Is this a problem with Acrobat 8 on OS 10.5? Is there any way to fix it?

Hi all-
Is there a way to turn off the icon Preview function in OS X?
It’s particularly annoying especially when I open a folder with video clips in it and the Finder whirrs away trying to give a Preview for each file. It wouldn’t be so bad if the Finder remembered the icon, but everytime you open the folder it goes through the same process again! Plus, unless you’re using giant icons you can’t see what the preview is showing you anyway! I’m quite happy to have the ‘generic’ icon and allow the file name to tell me what the item is!

Mail Preview Function is not good as Tiger Mail!

Hi, I have currently upgraded to Leopard found that the system is much more powerful. As I received many emails everyday and mail program is one of the programs that I used most. I found that the preview function in Leopard mail is not good as tiger mail. If the mail comes with only few photos, it still ok to open them, but I found that if it comes with more than 10 or more, the preview function try very hard to load the photos and the rainbow balloon keep on running until the system hanged.
I had tried the function in Tiger Mail with over even 100 photos but still fine, I don't know why Leopard Mail will that weak as it just a simple function. I don't know you guys have this problem or not but I found this function very useful and convenient, and I hope Leopard won't let me disappointed.

Trouble with Preview function- thumbnails

Adobe photoshop elements 9: Problem occurs after downloading my images from my camera's memory card. I have all the thumbnails open & have always right clicked on an individual photo, hit preview & viewed my photos as a slideshow to copy, delete, etc.. The preview function is not working, and had quit working just recently on my Elements 8 before I replaced it with the 9 version. How can I fix this or is there another way to look at my photos full screen, one after another without individually opening each one, then having to go back & start over?

If you are opening these files in Organizer, resetting organizer preferences should help. Go to %appdata%\Adobe\Elements Organizer\9.0\Organizer\ on Win or ~\library\Application Support\Adobe\Elements Organizer\9.0\Organizer\ and delete the following files :
psa.prf
status.dat
If that doesn't help, I would suggest repairing and optimizing your catalog.

BSP application with Javasript preview functionality

Hi guys,
I created a BSP business card application where the user can enter his data (name, address, phone...)within a form (<phtmlb:formLayoutInputField ..>).
I added a preview button and after pressing the button a JPG of the business card appears and the values from the form
are displayed on this JPG picture. This is realised with a javascript function.
I have the problem that javascript works on the client side. This means when the user clicks on the preview button the abap variables from my form are not filled with the user input.
At the moment I added another button 'Adopt text'. In this case a ok-code is raised on the abap side and the variables are filled (the entered text from the form is adopted). If the user now clicks the preview button everything works fine and the text is displayed on the JPG, but this approach is very uncomfortable. Has anybody an idea how I could implement such a preview functionality without clicking the 'adopt text' button?

    You Can use java script code for showinng a pop window on the Preview button click event.

and on the layout page, use your preview button like this

With the URL field of this button you can send values.

I have problems on free article preview function

I had enable article preview function on Account admin panel,
and set some artile to be "free" in a retail folio.
but I only got a purchase button in app without that "preview" function.
what did I miss? do you have any idea?
btw, I am pretty sure I build that app in R26.

when I tab the title on navigation bars, app just take me to the very first article of that folio, not the version number.
However, I am sure that app is v26.
what else I can do??
