Preview issues while merging documents

I having some bizarre issues with preview. I have a book in pdf format comprised of several chapters, each in pdf format. They all came from the same author and were made the same way. Each chapter has a title page a one or two blank pages (for notes) at the end that I want to delete. Finally, I want to combine all of the chapters into one big book. The sum of the files sizes of all of the chapter pdf files is about 37MB.
Issue 1:
When I delete pages from each chapter and then save the result, all the file sizes get BIGGER. After deleting all the blank pages etc. from the chapters, the total of all the files sizes has grown from 37MB to 47MB.
Issue 2:
When I merge all of the chapters from the above process into one document, the final document size is a whopping 128MB.
Anybody have any idea about why this doesn't "just work" as expected? Thanks in advance!

Preview isn't Acrobat. It is a "viewing" app that has some added features, but is in no way Acrobat.
If you Export the document, you can apply some Quartz filters which will help reduce file size.

Please ensure that notes 1488405 and 1167336 are implemented in your
system.
And recheck that a Txn type has action profile (BP_TASK) maintained as
per the Note 900293. This means, In customizing there should exist a
Transaction type with Action profile BP_TASK.
SPRO->CRM->Transactions->Basic Settings->Define Transaction Types->Check your transaction type.
For the CRM WebClient, all nodes of BUSWU01 which are relevant
for cleansing must be part of the CLEARING variant in BUSWU02.
The CLEAR_REP variant will comprise of nodes that should be handled by
the background job. This means that the subset of objects present in
the CLEAR_REP variant:
- Must be part of variant CLEARING as well
- Is not visible in the UI
- Is transferred automatically by the batch job, which is scheduled
from the UI.
Check in your crm system the View variant CLEAR_REP in BUSWS02 iif it is maintained
accordingly, please keep note 105548 as a reference.

You must create one task transaction type that uses action profile BP_TASK, so that the cleansing case can be generated. You can see action profile definition under spro>crm>basic settings>actions>actions in transactions>change actions and conditions>Define Action Profiles and Actions

Error while accessing documents in document tab in Generate document proper

Hi Experts,
I am facing issue while generating document properties.
I am doing this is qualification for one infoobject and I am getting error as " Operation SDOK_M_ATTR_CREATE could not be carried out for". In development this is fine but in qualification it is in error.
I tried RSRV for this infoobject and it is consistent.
Could you please let me know how to solve this issue.

Exchange Office Web Apps Preview Does not work in OWA. An error occurred while the document preview was being created

I have managed to configure intergration between Office Web App server 2013 and Exchange 2013 OWA.
I have created a test users Test1 and Test 2. I have given full access on Test2 mailbox to user test 1.
When I login to owa for user test1 and preview the attachment it works fine.
However when I use "Open another mailbox" in OWA and open test2 mailbox and try to preview the attachments in test2 inbox it errors as
" An error occurred while the document preview was being created. Please try again later " as follows
I am new to office web apps server 2013 and implemented it first time. Can anyone suggest resolutions or troubleshooting ?

To narrow down the cause, I’d like to recommend the following troubleshooting:
1. Does the error appear when you directly access test 2 mailbox through OWA?
2. Check if there is 141 error in your event log.
3. Check whether Office web app server connects with Exchange server when the issue happens.

Issue while creating a new web part page (Safeunit.aspx) within a folder located under a Document Library.

Hi, I am facing an issue while creating a new web part page (Safeunit.aspx) within a folder (Safematic Seal Support Systems) located under a Document Library (Product Information Documents).
The path I am explaining:
Going to the Document Library (Product Information Documents) --> now inside that, clicking on a folder (Wet Seal Support
Systems) --> now inside the folder clicking on another sub-folder (Safematic Seal Support Systems) --> Here I want the web page Safeunit.aspx
Issue is that when I reach to the required destination, and want to create the web page by clicking on 'Site Action' --> 'Create' --> 'Web Part Page', now while selecting the Document Library name from the drop-down list, I do use 'Product
Information Documents' since the folder is inside this library only; but that create the page directly under the 'Product Information Documents' library, not under the sub-folder (Safematic Seal
Support Systems).
FYI, it is SP2007 version.

I see that you have the namespaces reference in your code.
I think you have changed the NameSpace name of your code to CreateSPFolder, change the reference in all your manifest, and other files to point to the current namespace name. It should help.

SD Document Output Preview Issue

Please help on this output issue.
I am trying to print my sales documents through STD output types.
Want to issue the sales document output to the screen (Preview) or Local network printer.
Please share with me the functional & technical config steps.
For example I am using AN00 (STD Quotation Output) for printing the customized quotation document. Every thing is set and I am able to
Trigger the output successfully. But I cant see it on my screen and not able to print in my local printer.
After quotation saved, I can see the AN00 is in YELLOW. And 2 Output device are exists (LOCAL, LP01)
Please advice me the printing setup. Where should I do change to configure my print preview or connect my local network printer as a default SAP R/3. printer

According to the STD setup of AN00
Medium: 1
Dispatch Time: 1 (By Periodic Job)
Partner Function: SP
Storage Mode: Print Only
Condition record has been maintained and the output was triggered correctly upon saving the quotation document. (Process Status: Yellow)
Then i selected the output and changed Dispatch time to 4 (Immediate). The process status becomes RED once the document is saved.
Processing log is as follows
Line1: Object 0000560015
Line2: Output type: Quotation
Line3: Processing log for program /SMB40/RVADOR01 routine ENTRY
Line4: Processing routine ENTRY in program /SMB40/RVADOR01 does not exist
What is it meaning of Line4: Program is RVADOR01 exists in SE38
And Form /SMB40/SDQUO_A is existing in the SMARTFORMS transaction.
And to link the local print to SAP (As an output device), should i need to contact basis or any specific place that i need to setup.

SSO Issues while opening a ppt file document only from Solution Manager

Version - Solman 3.1
Issue

While trying to open a Powerpoint(ppt) file document, from the service provided by Solution Manager thru a weblink:
1.A SSO authentication request of the server pops up requesting to authenticate Windows userid/password
2.After entering the windows password the first time..authentication is requested again..At times on the second chance of authentication, the request is successfull and the powerpoint document opens.. But we have faced issues wherein the issues had persisted for 5-6 chances and only then the ppt document opens.
3.Point to be noted is that even if the SSO authentication of the windows password is cancelled even the first chance the document opens..
4.Issue is only with powerpoint document and not with word document..
Going by point 3.. there is no relevance of the windows authentication to popup since authenticating or not authenticating doesn't matter.
Issue unknown is why is that whenever only a ppt document from Solman is being opened does the SSO Windows authentication window of Solman server opens.. Is there any settings to be considered..

Merging Documents - Fill in Form Fields Issue

I have a customer that is using Acrobat Professional 11.0
Here are the details - can she do this using the merge documents together function rather than having to do the documents separately?
When using the merge documents together function, form fields that are left to be filled in (date and time is when example), do not stay as fields once the PDF is created - they are now be populated with a number/letter combination (example: 28T)
This does not occur when the documents are converted to PDF's separately.
This functionality worked fine with the merge documents together feature in Acrobat Professional 10. What changed from one iteration of the software to the next?
What is the fix for this?

In short, you will need Acrobat to create the forms. They only need the free Reader to fill them in and save them.

Help merging documents while preserving global binding.

I was trying to use dynamicpdf to merge documents that have the same field names so that I can globally bind them all together.
For example, if I have 2 pdfs and they both have a first name textfield. I would like to be able to populate both by typing in either one after merging. Dynamicpdf renames the textfields and destroys the global binding after the merge.
Does Acrobat provide any tools to do this? Are there any other dotnet components that can preserve the bindings after merge?

CF 8 CFPDF "Merged" document throws 131 Error when opened in Acrobat

We are using CF 8 on Windows Server 2003 platform.
Any CFPDF "Merged" documents are throwing 131 Errors when opened in Acrobat
Tried re-saving the documents on local machine and still same problem. Tried opening in multiple versions of Acrobat, same problem.
Individual documents created are opening without issue. It is Only when these documents are merged that this error occurs.
We do not experience this behavior in our CF 10 environment.
We are a Big, Slow moving enterprise here so not much chance of getting our CF 10 environments promoted to meaningful production use soon.
Found virtually nothing in HelpX and nothing online of any value regarding this issue.
Has anyone else experienced the issue noted in the title of this discussion?
Has anyone a work around or solution?

I am getting the same error even in Acrobat version 8.1.3.
Additionally, I noticed that if we click on menu ‘Advanced->Sign&Certify->Preview Document’, then we get a notification as “This document is not PDF/SigQ compliant and may display inconsistently”. On clicking ‘View report’ on that notification, the below dialog pops up. It has errors listed as:-
Code 4000 : Unrecognized PDF content. The document contains PDF content or custom content not supported by the current version of Acrobat.
Code 4002: PDF content contains erros.
However, if we sign the PDF using default adobe signature functionality and reopen that PDF, the error does NOT come and the notification also says ‘This document is PDF/SigQ compliant’.
Can anybody please suggest what could be missing in the custom sign that we apply? Is it because of any of the missing fonts or any other resources?

Issue while creating repair order via IW52

In IW52 for service Notification , we have option of Create repair order in Action box of service notification, when i am clicking that i need to enter the sales order type.. when i am selecting standard order type KD01 or any other it is saying that
1)Order type KD01 does not have the sales doc. identifier "repair"
Message no. QM127
Diagnosis
You entered an order type that is not assigned to the sales document identifier "F" or "G" = repair order.
Procedure
Enter an order type that has the sales document identifier "F" or "G".
Where can we see sales document identifier in config ?
2. I would like know is there any setting where we can give default sales order type to service notification type ..

Web Analysis 9.3.1: Error occured while opening document. Document ID = {0}

I am having an issue while opening a web analysis dashboard report. When I try opening it, web analysis runs for about 15 mins & then throws following error:
Error occured while opening document. Document ID = {0}
The report opens with its header having company log & two buttons, but data grid remains empty.
The source of Grid is Essbase. The tunning parameters in Essbase.cfg file are in place.
Could anyone please through more observation on this issue. Let me know if any further information is needed!.

The isapi (if you use one) timeout setting might be smaller than the time essbase needs to retrieve te information.
but most probably the analysis applicationserver jre heapsize is either to small or needs to much time to allocate it. Be sure to increase heapsize and set max equal to min (try 800mb, if your hardware has that resource)

Whatz the source of your Grid? Relational SQL Query (OR) A spreadsheet with Essbase database connection file?
* Yes, the source is Essbase.*
If source is Essbase, it seems- Outline might've got altered when you're trying to refresh the report.
* The outline was in tandem when we tried running this report in WebAnalysis. This outline & WebAnalysis report which is in Dev Server is a replica of the one in Test Server where it runs fine. *
If source is based on a Relational SQL query, chances are that- Query is no longer valid.
* NA as this statement is NOT applicable to our source.*
If it's Essbase, it's also likely that- It ran out of time while fetching the data from Essbase. You may try playing around with the parameters in Essbase.cfg file.
* This might be one of the causes, but I double checked the all the tunning parameters in Essbase.cfg file in place.*
Could you please through more observation on this issue. Let me know if any further information is needed!.

while releasing document through vf02 error is coming "tax code does not appear in any g/l account" i have made a new tax code and copied condition type jlst and created new condition type.respective gl is also assigned in ob40.still error is coming.
i have also checked pricing procedure condition type "from" and "to" its blank.
please advise.
