Preview not accurate, blurry
I don't think I've ever seen this to this degree, but current
preview in Dreamweaver, in both Safari and Firefox, shows a webpage
text way blurry and soft. not reality. any ideas why this is
happening? thanks.

My website at www.andyrmcgregor.com looks fine on the iphone preview but on an actual phone it is zoomed out with a massive gray box down the side. I've check for overhanging items and can't find any, is there anything else I can do to fix this?
Ahhh, that explains it. Don't know why I didn't think of that as it was fine one day then odd the next. I use 123-reg.co.uk is there anything I can do to change this and still keep the domain name as www.andyrmcgregor.com?

Why are previews in Bridge blurry (not rendering properly)?
Why are previews in Bridge blurry (not rendering properly)?
I found a simple answer to this question: control click on the thumbnail and select "purge cache for selection"
After years of intermittently having this problem, this solved the issue. I had just finished a fresh install of main sys hd (new hd) and first time opening bridge encountered this issue again after not having the problem for a few years.

Poor quality in preview - image is blurry
To date, I have not had any issues with the preview quality matching the actual image quality.
I have not made any hardware por software changes. Image files are in raw, jpg and tiff formats.
This issue appears to be only with raw files. The image in preview is extremely blurry, yet when the
file is opened it is tack sharp. I have checked all my preference settings and cannot figure out what is goin on.
I have tried purging and refreshing the cache and nothing seems to work.
I am running PS CS4
Windows Vist 64 Ultimate
Please help!
Update: I have changed raw preferences to apply to preview images only. The image qulaity only seems to improve when I
purge the cache for the slected images. I have the cache option for export to folder when possible checked. I have tried to purge the cache for
all images but the preview does not imprevoce unless I purge selected only.This may be dumb but when it recently happened to me, I opened one image in adobe camera raw and increased the clarity by an inpercievable 1%. Then I hit done. Preview looked crisp again. I copied settings of that image. Then I highlighted all other blurry previews and pasted settings and they all became crisp again. Probabley just a quick fix that doesn't solve the problem but my knowledge is limited.

Preview opens up blurry..
I noticed this a few months back but since it's not a "crucial" issue I didn't bother posting but I'm just wondering if anyone knows or if anyone else is experiencing Preview opening up images blurry at first & then you have to manually resize the image in order for it to become sharp again.
Does this happen with all images?
I have noticed that Preview opens images blurry on my computer but they go sharp in a couple of seconds after opening. Have you tried deleting the com.apple.preview.plist file in /Users/<<UserName>>/Library/Preferences?
If you don't feel comfortable deleting the file just move it to the desktop. Then log out and back in and see if you are still getting the same effect.
Hope this helps

xfoI'm (being lazy and) using the older RT app posted on your last thread. I removed the
TimeNow timer from the RT class and used System.currentTimeMillis (as you requested) to
determine the elapsed time during the animation (see "startTest", "stop" and
"movingObject" methods). Also changed the DecimalFormat to NumberFormat and set the
"maximumFractionDigits" to "2" so it will truncate the fraction to two digits (more simple
than before). Made arrangements for the ShapeMovingPanel class to update the
"timerJTextField" during the animation (RT.updateTime method).
The MouseMotionListener is causing the animation to appear jerky and uneven. The
"mouseMoved" method is very busy while the mouse is moving. You might consider recording
the "mousePressed" events instead of the "mouseMoved" events, ie, the events where the user
is attempting to click inside the moving shape. It would allow the app to be more
responsive and might eliminate the uneven motion of the animating shape.

How do I rename one wrongly identified photo in Faces? I seem to only be able to merge two stacks of photos to the correct name, but that is not accurate. I only have one photo in a batch under a certain name, that is wrongly identified.
In iPhoto '11: Select the photo in the "Faces" stack, open the "Info" panel, click on the face name in the "faces" brick and then on the name below the face to edit the name.

hello there! i am using Adobe acrobat pro DC and using windows 8.1. Recently I was trying to convert a web page (includes Greek letters) into PDF. I noticed that the conversion is not accurate, some words are missing, some are misplaced. Especially Greek words are not accurately converted or even not converted. Please give me some suggestions to improve this issue. Regards
Hey quantum info,
Thank you for posting at Adobe forums. We would love to help you out.
Could you please let me know if you have tried converting other web pages to PDF and checked if the same issue persists.
How have you been trying to convert the web page to PDF?
Are you trying to convert to PDF directly via browsers or using "File > Create > PDF from Web Page" option in Acrobat.
Let me know more so that I can analyze where actually the issue persists.
Hope to hear from you.

Search results are not accurate
hi,
am facing a unique issue in SP 2013. Whenever we search for a search criteria the results returned is not accurate always. Every time we navigate across pages, the search results change which is not
a desired behavior. However we also noticed that the refiner panel does not change as well and it retains the old count which leads to inconsistent results when user selects a criteria from the refiner.
any pointers / helpful links regarding this issue, if any anyone has surfaced, is highly appreciated!
DasHi,
According to your post, my understanding is that search results are not accurate.
I recommend to run a full crawl and then to check whether the search results are correct.
If your incremental crawl is running, it may happen that, when you are viewing the data in the search result web part, the newly added content are not crawled yet.
So, after the content are updated, wait for some time.
Let your incremental crawl finish. Then view the results on the page.

Preview not opening pdf documents
Why would Preview not open a pdf document?
I double click on a document and Preview starts but the document does not open. I can open the document in Safari. I have other user accounts and the same document is working properly in all of them. The sharing & permissions looks like it is correct showing me to have Read & Write privileges.Thanks, slug. I might have been born at night but it wasn't last night. I tried that and it still isn't working. When I did the repair permissions I did notice though that there were, literally, pages and pages and pages of "ACL found but not expected" lines in tons of System and hidden folders. I mean, repair permissions took almost 3 hours!! What's up with that?

The mini preview (not sure if that's what it's called) isn't working in finder. This hasn't worked since upgrading to Yosemite.
Im running finder version 10.10
on a 2.6 GHz Intel Core i7 Mac mini (late 2012)
16 gb memory
graphics Intel HD Graphics 4000 1024 MBWhen I click on a file the preview to the right telling me dimensions, file size etc isn't there anymore. The other preview works (when I hit spacebar) and the get info still works.

Preview not working in 10.6
Preview not working in 10.6. Not able to open multiple JPG files. No problem in 10.5.7.
Any solution?I've been following this thread and several others about this same issue with interest. Today I went to Astronomy Picture of the Day to take a look at the pix for August and downloaded eight of them. Whether it matters or not, I made a folder on my Desktop, then dragged the full picture from its "picture only" page into the folder. After I finished I opened the folder, did Command-A and double clicked the group. All eight opened in Preview and I used the down arrow to move from one to the next.
I did an upgrade install of Snow Leopard on a VERY clean install of Leopard (pretty much no third party anything had been added, certainly no haxies, Contextual Menu items, Input Managers, menu bar extras, and only a limited number of third party applications).
So unfortunately it looks like I can't investigate this issue since I can't reproduce it. Haven't seen anything in the discussions of the issue so far that lead me any theory about why some people have it and some, including me, don't.

Aperture previews not showing up in media browser (and iweb)
some of my images in aperture projects do not show up in iweb or in the media browser at all....the projects are listed and most other project show all images, but some don't....
i tried several things including consistency check and rebuilding the entire library....nothing works....
this is very annoying...one of the few reasons (but a major one for me) to stick with aperture over LR is the system wide integration....but it has to work....thanks for that info....i actually managed to fix it by rebuilding my previews.....but there was no reason at all for the previews not to show up....and it actually took 2 times to rebuild them all....some still did not show up after the first run....
i really hope we will see an upgrade soon....some things just have to be smoothed out....and a few added.... -
Hi,
According to this document: SMB2 Client Redirector Caches Explained File.exists() is not accurate on a smb2 network share. I am not able to change any register settings, so I want to deal with it. According to the document there is an API to get the notifications from the file system. I assumed that the WatchService is the Java implementation of this API. Am I correct?
I started with the WatchDir example from the jdk samples and stripped it a bit. I only need to know when a file is created and delete (I don't care about file modifications). For testing I have added new File.exists() when a new event has been triggered. I also start a separated Thread which test the file existence also. When I don't start this separated thread the file exists returns true immediately. When the extra thread is started it is not accurate any more. I need a more accurate file.exists check in the whole application and all running threads.
The output for my test case is this:
FileExistsThread: subdir\test.txt == false
watch registered for dir: subdir\
FileExistsThread: subdir\test.txt == false
FileExistsThread: subdir\test.txt == false
FileExistsThread: subdir\test.txt == false
FileExistsThread: subdir\test.txt == false
FileExistsThread: subdir\test.txt == false
FileExistsThread: subdir\test.txt == false
WatchDir event: ENTRY_CREATE: test.txt
WatchDir: subdir\test.txt exists == false
FileExistsThread: subdir\test.txt == false
FileExistsThread: subdir\test.txt == false
FileExistsThread: subdir\test.txt == false
FileExistsThread: subdir\test.txt == false
FileExistsThread: subdir\test.txt == false
FileExistsThread: subdir\test.txt == false
FileExistsThread: subdir\test.txt == false
FileExistsThread: subdir\test.txt == false
FileExistsThread: subdir\test.txt == false
FileExistsThread: subdir\test.txt == true
FileExistsThread: subdir\test.txt == true
FileExistsThread: subdir\test.txt == true
FileExistsThread: subdir\test.txt == true
As you can see the file test.txt is created on line 9. The FileExistsThread have seen it on line 20, (at least 10 x 300 ms later).
For testing I have used 2 Windows 7 pc's (with smb2 enabled which is default). The working directory must be on the remote pc and the file test.txt must be created (or copied from another folder) on the remote pc (not using the network drive, but on the pc itself).
Here is my test code:

when UTL_FILE is in use.
b. Universal Naming Convention : UNC is preferable to Mapped Drives because
it does not require anyone to be logged on and UTL_FILE_DIR should be set to
a name in the form :
\\\<machine name>\<share name>\<path>
or
"\\<machine name>\<share name>\<path>" -
Forwarding Rates are not accurate
Hi,
Yesterday I activated forwarding calls, and I have two questions :
Rates to United Stats is 2.3¢/min
and when I received calls they charged me $0.8 per min !!!!!!!!!!!!
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/13684246/Skype2.jpg
The second question is :
couples of my friends reported that after skype starts ringing for few seconds, It doesn't forward their call to my phone properly !!! It stops ringing when It supposedly forwarding their call to me !!!Hi,
According to your post, my understanding is that search results are not accurate.
