Price inclusive of Excise Duty

Hi,
I have to configure Price Inlusive of Excise Duty for Depot Sales. The Sales Tax should be shown seperately.
Pls provide suggestions on how to go about it.
Regards,
Ajit

Dear Ajit
Let us assume your pricing condition type is PR00 and excise condition type is JMOD.
Create one more pricing condition say ZR00 in V/06 and assign in your pricing procedure in such a way that the "From-To" step number against ZR00 should be of PR00 and JMOD
thanks

  • Inclusive of excise duty issue

    Hi,
We encountered a issue in case of inclusive of excise duty procurement. I will try to explain it here.
We have punched a PO with excise duty inclusive and the tax code as per the vendor's terms.
The GR based IV is checked.
We made GRN with reference to this PO. In this GRN we put the excise values in appropriate places. Here we have not checked the MRP indicator in excise invoice header.
In the invoice verification when we give the inputs system is fetching the values as per the PO and not as per the GRN.
This scenario is done with text material. The scenario works fine with material code.
Now my question is when system fetches values from PO while LIV and not from GRN? One more thing i have tried this scenario with MRP indicator checked but same results are found.
    regards,
    Adwait Bachuwar

Here we have not checked the MRP indicator in excise invoice header.
Now my question is when system fetches values from PO while LIV and not from GRN?
If MRP indicator is not ticked, how system will split excise from base value frm p.o in GR excise &
also need to orginal base value without excise while invoicing.
My suggestion for dealer purchase is you need to create seperate tax code to handle it.
I don't have any idea about how MRP indicator works for text material ?

  • Sale of Raw materail -  Base Price inclusive of Excise duties

    Hi ,
Our client wants to sell a Raw material they procured to another customer.
When they procured Material X Price was 20012 (ED- 2862, Ecess-57 and SECess-29).
Now they want to sell the material X to Customer.
While selling, they want to enter the price as 20012 and enter the duty amounts instead of % .
BED-2862, ECess-57 and SEcess-29. so it has to collect 20012 from the customer and duty amounts to get debited to the concerned excise accounts. And the Sales revenue should be 20012-(28625729).
    My problems  are :
    1. How to make Base price inclusive of Duties
    2. For Manual BED to be entered I can use JMAN instead of JEXP. But in this case JEXT total condition for JEXP is not getting updated when I am using JMAN.
    3. For JECS(Ecess%) and ZSEC(SEcess%) conditions also , do i need to create like JMAN
    4. What is the use of this JEXT Total condition for JEXP, similary JECT for JECS and ZSHT for ZSEC
    Thanks in advance.
    Sreekanth

    Sreekanth,
    1. For your First question one of our forum members has answered.
    2. JMAN is manual condition for excise duty. When manual override is required rof excise duty updation then we use this condition type. IN JEXT Condition Type, Keep the Manual Entry = Empty (By default "D" will be there) and try check the From and To numbers that you have assigned.
    3. Similarly for JCET you check. Keep the Manual Entry = Empty (By default "D" will be there) and try check the From and To numbers that you have assigned.
    4. The total basic excise duty(JEXT) on the goods (ad valorem duty(JEXP) plus specific duty(JEXQ))
That's why when you JEXT From and To No. Ranges it includes both JEXP and JEXQ including JMAN.
    please check the following link.
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_47x200/helpdata/en/08/34bc3cdc322866e10000000a114084/frameset.htm
When you sell it to other customer
If your customer wants it be paid as an amount instead of %.
Then Create separate Pricing procedure, separate condition types and keep calculation type = Fixed Amount  and maintain condition records.
Then it will be standard procedure take all the from and to markings. Retain it only for final total.

  • Excise Duty Inclusive in basic price

    Dear Experts,
when the excise duty is included in the price, we enable the check box MRP Indicator in the excise tab while doing MIGO and based on this the GRN will be posted deducting the excise values from the price.
but the trouble is, while doing MIRO, the system is not taking the posted value in GRN, rather the basic price plus the excise duty. How to overcome this to that the value proposed by the system is exclusive of excise duty?
    regards
    Suresh

    hi,
say the value is 10,000 which is inclusive of 1000 excise duty.
while posting the GRN we will enable the MRP indicator and based on this the GRN value will be posted as 9000 and the 1000 will be captured as excise duty
but while doing the MIRO, either by giving the Purchase order or Delivery note as the reference, the value proposed by the system is 10,000 and not 9000. I know that we can change the values, but the client requires that the system has to propose the value as 9000 instead of 10,000
    hope it is clear

  • Excise Duty - Standard Cost Estimate

    Hi Experts,
We have defined Excise duty as one of the cost component in the cost component structure.  Can some one explain how this Excise duty is posted as planned values in the Standard Cost Estimate ( For material cost quantity from the BOM and price from Material Master is picked up according to the Valuation Variant - defined strategy - similarly for Excise Duty how the system captures the Value).
Please Help - thanks in advance.

    Hi
If your Plant is not in an Excise Free Zone - Then You should not add Excise Duty as a cost component because you will be getting credit for the same
If your Plant is in an Excise Free Zone - Then your MAP/Planned Price etc must be inclusive of Excise duty.... This is handled by marking the excise condition as Non Deductible
So, in short, there is no way to show it separate... For Case b, you can use CK74N to add Excise component as Additive cost

  • Tax calculation (excise duty and purchase tax) issue

    Hi friends,
    we want to automate MIRO.
    we are  using BAPI ( BAPI_INCOMINGINVOICE_CREATE ).
while posting that does not propose excise duty ( Modvat ) amount and
sales tax component is calculated on basic price instead of Basic plus Excise.
we are using BAPI in calculate tax mode.
    ( BAPI_INCINV_CREATE_HEADER-CALC_TAX_IND = 'X'. )
    In MIRO:
    Basic price   - 100.00
    Excise duty  -   16.32
    (16.32%)       -
    Total1           -  116.32
    sales tax      -     4.65
    ( 4% Total1 )
    Total            - 120.97              -         Invoice amout
    In BAPI
    basic price    - 100
Excis duty    -     0                 - Since not proposing while posting
    Sales tax      -     4
    (4% on basic) -
                          104
hence difference is Excise - 16.32 + Tax component on Excise 0.65
    total difference is 16.97.
please give me the solution for this problem.

    Hi Experts,!!
Kindly let me know How to use Multiple vendor in BAPI_INCOMINGINVOICE_CREATE.
We have a requirement that in PO multiple vender will be maintained, we have to create individual wise invoice for multiple venders.
I have tried to create it is posing to one main vendor only.
    pls. Give some solution

  • Die Excise duty Amortization Pricing procedure

    Hi,
M faceing a problem in defining pricing procedure for Excise duty amortization for Die.
    The requirement is as follows:
    Sr.No.     Conditions     Result                                     Remark
    1     Rate – Discount + Pakg & Forwarding     Basic price  (A)
    2     Basic Price (A) x Excise Duty %      Basic Excise Duty (B)
    3     Amortisation Cost (C) x Excise Duty %     Amortisation BED (D)
    4     (B) + (D) = (E)                                     Total BED (E)
    5     Total BED (E) x ECess %                     Educational Cess (F)
6     Subtotal for Sales tax Calculation     (A)(E)(F)=(G)
    7     (G) x VAT or CST %                                     Sales Tax (H)
    8     (G)+(H)                                                     Total Value
    Please guide me on this.
    Thanks & Regards
    Kishan Bhat

    Hi Rajesh, Thanks
    I havnt understood this condition.
70 | Ammortization | blank | blank | No account key. Statistical Condition
This case is for Die cost amortization....i am looking out for Excise duty amortization
    Eg:
    Basic Cost                = 200.00                      Qty = 1 nos
    Total Basic Cost                      = 200.00
    ED 16% for component           =   32.00 -
    (I)
Amortization cost per component      = 10.00
    Excise Duty 16%                               =   1.60----
    (II)
    Total Exicse duty to be charged          = 32.00 + 1.60 = 33.60-------(III)
So Invoice value will be as follows:
    Basic Cost           = 200.00
    ED                          =   33.60
    Edu Cess               =     0.67
    Total                       = 234.27
    VAT 12.5 %           =     0.12
    Total Invoice Value      = 234.39

  • Excise duty inclusive

    Hi guys,
We are facing a problem in procurement with excise duty inclusive.  The following is the scenario
    Basic rate    10,000
    bed                1,600
    ecs                    32
    secess               16
    vat                 1,456
    total            13104
In the Purchase Order we give the rate inclusive of ex i.e 11,648 /- and at the time of MIGO, we are selecting MRP indicator tick in excise tab and entering bed, ecs and secess values here.
Inventorisation is being done only with 10,000 rupees.  In posting of E.I. also, the ed amount is being posted properly.  But at the time of MIRO, VAT is being calculated on (11648+1648).  It should be calculated only on 11648.
How can we resolve this?  Any help

    Dear Chintu,
    Go to OBYZ
    Select procedure
    Go to taxinn
    double click on control
    Check from and to
If there VAT condition routine is calculate on the base of Basic price+duty then system is showing as you are seeing.
Is you want VAT calculation on basic price ( it seems from your message)
then you have to create new condition for VAT and give subroutine number against basic price.
    Regards

  • Wrong VAT amount in MIRO (Excise duty inclusive case)

    Hi All,
I have created purchase order with excise duty as inclusive. I have captured the vendor excise invoice & posted  it. Upto this point all is working fine.
When i am  going to do MIRO ,the vat amount is also showing correct ( calculated on Base price+ ED).
But when i am changing the tax code ,the VAT is calculated on Base price only.
It is not considering the amount of Excise duty posted .
Besides excise duty inclusive case ,when we are changing the tax code in  MIRO where certain percentage for the conditions is maintained like (821+vat 5%) ,VAT amount is correct.Only problem is with the excise duty inclusive cae.
All the configuration & transaction data is properly maintained .
    Please guide ,
    Regards,
    SAP MM INDIA

Create a seperate tax code for dealer with ed + vat combination,
here maintain tax rates for excise condition types as zero.
Maintain that tax code in p.o.Do GR as suggested in sap note
See Note 1104456 - Use of MRP indicator for capturing excise duties from dealer for more information.
In MIRO,Enter base amount removing excise duty values, select tax code only in header.
Reply given by p.singh is also very important point to note regarding VAT condition type.

  • Purchase order report with basic price and Excise duty values

    Hi All,
Is there any standard report in SAP to get the Purchase order basic price / qty and its Excise duty values ? Since we are including Excise duties for non - codified items (w/o material master and with cost center 'K') Purchase order and the ed values are added to the cost and the requirement is to see the split up (Basic priceEdEcs+Hcs)for these Purchase orders for the vendors. If there is no std report then please let me know how to link Purchase order table with this Condition value table in query to get the desired report.
    Thanks in advance
    Benny

    Hi,
there is no standert report to fullfill this requierment
you have to create this report with the help of abaer
for that which tax code you are using its importnat thing
    for po table EKPO
    1. A524 (Normal supply point / Material) it will return condition record number for condition type.
    2. KONP (Conditions (Item)) .
    3. J_1IMTCHID (Combination of Material Number and Chapter ID).
    4. J_1IEXCTAX (Tax calc. - Excise tax rates
5 get the IR no. from RBKP and RSEG, and get the relevant FI doc no. and goto BSET table
for IR number  to get from table apply logic for doc type RE ,you will get fi number nad in refernce field you will get invoice number + fiscal year
Map this by refernig on po for which grn and invoice happen

  • Excise duty not picking when we enter basic price in contract

    Hi Friends,
When we are creating contract, we have to manually enter basic price after entering basic price system is not picking Excise duties. But we are doing carry out new pricing that system is picking excise duty. So i need solution from all SD experts.
I need two options one is when we are creating contract after entering basic price system should automatically pick Excise duty. Or System should prompt that i have to carry out new price. Please suggest how to do.
    Thanks in advance
    Sree

Use same Excise Con Type based pricing procedure, Wat you might be using for your normal sales order.
Or you can refer standard pricing procedure foor excise based pricing
    JINFAC     IN:Factory sale (pefer)
    JFACT     IN:Factory sale with formula
Primarily, maintain Condition Record for Excise Duty Con Type with relevant access seq & tax code in VK11.
On execution, check plant & S Loc. determination should take place automatically.
    Thanks & Regards

  • Pricing : Discount on basic price and excise duty

    Hi gurus,

  • VAT on Base price+ Excise duty + Freight

    Hi
Im using TAXINN Procedure. I have got two scenarios for VAT.
1)some vendors charge VAT on   Base price+ Excise duty & then add freight.
      which I have mapped.
2)In second scenario some vendors charge VAT on (Base price+ Excise duty + Freight). which I am unable to map.
how can i do it in TAXINN (condition based procedure)...
    pls help..
    thanks n regards
    pravin

    Hi
For calculation VAT on freight, a routine has to be built and to be assigned for the customized freignt condition in pricing procedure.
(In case of TAXINJ, you can use the appropriate tax code during MIRO)

  • Excise Duty Calculation

Hi Folks this is my 1st q in this forum.
I want to extract the excise duty, cess and hes in mu AR invoice where the unit price is inclusive of these components.
    Eg:
I purchase 10 nos for100 so the bill amt is
    100163.2+1.6=120.8
In my Ar invoice I bill this for
    120 + vat 4% (For 10 nos)
The excise duty ,cess, hes should be same as above
or proportional if I sell less qty
    can anybody explain please.

    Hi,
At present BED is 14%, cess 2% and HES 1% am i right.
In OSTT, Nota fiscal ID of BED, cess and HES may be (or will be) -90.
Using this you can calculate Excise Duty amount seperately from overall tax amount.
Nota fiscal id of VAT is may be (will be) 7. Using this you can calcualte VAT amount from Total tax amount.
In OSTT, Numerator column have some value (for ex, 5 for BED, 6 for Cess, 7 for HES) using these numbers you can calculate BED, Cess and HES values seperately and you can print it in report.
    How to calculate?
1.In PLD, in Repetitive area, create an text field and enter value of Numerator (if you calculate tax amount seperately) or Nota fiscal ID if you calculate Excise duty(combination of BED, Cess and HES)
    2. Create Database field and select OSTT - Sales tax authorities Type and select Nota fiscal id or Numerator.
    3. Create formula field and check the two fields.(ie., Field_xx = Field_xy) (Here, Field_xx is text field and Field_xy is Database field)
    4. Create Database field and select A/R Invoice - Tax documents per row (for A/R Invoice) or Purchase Order - tax documents per row (for purchase order)
    5. Create formula field and multiply step 3 and step 4.
    6. In Repetitive area footer, create one formula field seperately for each and every calculation.
Now you can print those values whereever you want in PLD.
I hope this could help you to solve the problem.

  • Excise duty in the Pricing Procedure for Local Purchase / Importation

    Hi,
I'd like to know how to set up the pricing procedure for the purchase of an IS Oil Material; for local purchase and importation, especially with regards to the excise duty posting.
Local purchase:  the vendor will bill us inclusive of the ED tax he previously paid, so the tax is just passed on to us..  My receiving location has ED paid status. In the PO item, we need to see this price (inclusive of tax) in the net price field.
Importation:  the vendor only bills us the cost of the material.  When we received the fuel, we paid ED tax to local tax authorities.
I know that both in these scenarios, the system has to determine the excise duty.
My questions are (1) how do you set up the excise duty condition type  in the pricing procedure(or do they have to be maintained in the pricing procedure?) ?   and (2)  how do you set up this condition type in the config?
Thank you and hoping for your immediate feedback.
    zccr

    Hi,
You can use same pricing procedure
put 4 in subtotal in pricing procedure against the Discounr or freight cond
    and in taxinn
BASb ALTCBV 362 and for jmop 363
But this will work only if same  discount or freight value is in IV as that given in PO
if freing value changes in IV then its a problem
This is SAP bug, and SAP workes in that way only, freight value should be same in PO and IV
    other solution
in taxinn create tax code like v8 vat 4% for 003 tax clasification
in ftxp create tax code V8 desc vat 4%
in fv11 for jvrd put 4
and at the time of IV put this tax code for freight amount
and for regular material value V1 tax code
this will work only if u have used acess seq MWST instead of JTAX pr JST1
    hope this helps
