Prices picked up in PO

hi experts,
we are using condition table based pricing conditions updation with validity dates.
but in PO if a price is not valid say for certain period then also the prices are picked are in PO from info record.
Say one basic price was valid upto 31.03.09 now on 01.04.09 if an user creates a PO sytem copies prices from info record.
We want to restrict that how we can achieve that
rgds

we do not want for certain pur orgs that PO prices should be picked up from info record but from condition table records
what is happening if one condition record is valid upto 31.03.09 in condition table then while creating PO on 01.04.09 prices are picked up from old info record which we do not want
can it be achieved that for certain pur orgs prices can only be picked up from condition tables not from info records

I am creating the shipment in VT01N & selected the two delivers & Route, Route Km is 100. I have created the shipment cost in VI01, system picking the KM is 100 but price picking 4/- instead of 3/-.
Can anybody give the advice? Why it is pickup wrong price? Is any setting or configuration required?

    Hi,
    Thanks for reply,
I have maintained the Scale type in “To scale" but same problem is there.  My client is requirement the fright calculation – KM x Rate x MT(Qty) & rate is scale basis.  I have maintained the condition type as below
    Scale
    Scale basis – R – (Distance)
    Check value -   (None)
    Scale type    -  (To-scale)
After maintained the condition, I am creating the shipment cost & go to condition. I have checked the header conditions details; system doubles the KM in Scale base val. 200 km instead of 100 km.

  • Wrong price picked in purchase order created with reference to RFQ.

    Hi Experts,
We are encountering an error when we adopt a service RFQ. We maintained 3 RFQs at different prices for 3 different vendors. When we try to adopt the RFQs in the PO, the system picks up the price of the last RFQ maintained. The system gives the same price for whatever RFQ number that we use (for the same item). This goes for service items only (whether with service master record or none). I do not know if this is a customizing setting or a program error.
Will give points to helpful answers. I would appreciate any input. Thanks!

    Hi,
I have checked in MEKA for all the condition there are no price available for the service.
I am facing this problem in Services not in material.

  • PO price picked from PR instead of contract

    Hi Gurus,
I have a situation, where SRM shopping carts are creating PRs in R/3 and these PRs are converted to POs. In SRM, shopping carts are created with reference to a contract in backend and the POs created in backend are picking price from PRs, instead of Contracts. When I try to manually convert a SRM PR to a PO, it is throwing a warning message like 'price being taken from PR...' and converting it to PO. It is happening with only one vendor, where as for others, it is working fine. The main issue, here is, the PRs coming from SRM are carrying different prices, where the business expects the PRs to pick the standard price from backend contract. If anybody experienced similar situation, can you please suggest me. Thanks!
    -Tirumala

    hi Tirumala
While converting PR to PO usualy price will be fetched from contract, inforecord or last PO.
There is option available to copy PR price to PO as follow
SPRO>MM>Pur>Environment Data>Define Default Values for Buyers
here click Settings for Default Values..
and copy 01 & create another Default value..
go to Price Adoption Tab in that and select Radio button for " always Copy"..
    Save
Go to SU01 trxn.. and in the parameters assign the Default Value along with
    the parameter ID "EVO".
Please check in SU01 whether EVO parameter is assigned with parameter ID

  • PO PRICES PICKED AS DEFAULT FROM

    Sir,
Ply help me in the following Setting done for Picking Prices in PO.
I want to know whether while making PO prices are picked from inforecord or from last po.
where can i find these setting.
    regards
    amey

    Hi
    While making PO
    1. Price is picked up from inforecord if valid inforecord exsit.
    2. If not the price is picked from the last PO.
    3. If both conditions are not satisfied than price should be entered manually.
Price will be picked up from inforecord, this is a default SAP setting.
If you do not want PO to pick up price from the last PO, these changes can be found in EVO settings.
Path: Mateial Management: Purchasing: Enviroment Data: Define default values for buyer: settings for default Values. you can makes the changes in price adoption tab.

  • Purchase Order prices picked up the wrong price

    Hello All,
After we created an A/P invoice with 3% discount on the total, the same items on new purchase order shows a lower price. For example, itemcost is 10.44, but it shows on PO for 10.13. Looks like 3% has been applied to each single item. But if I go to price list, the cost is still 10.44.
Please let me know if you have any idea how this happened? And how to avoid it? We only want the PO to pick up the price from cost price list.
    Appreciated for your help.
    Yurong

We actually did it on purpose. we are planning on changing all of our products to moving average. But back to my question, is it the valuation method that causes the PO prices to change? Is there a way to specify the PO to retrieve only from the price list?
    Thanks,
    Yurong

  • Info record price picking.

    Hi
Currently I blocked manual entry of price in PO. The price should pick only from info record, if info record is not there for the material then it should through an error message.
I have already made Message No: 06 136 No info record exists for item & as an error message, but still it is showing error messge saying "Net price should be greater than 0"
    Kindly suggest me.
    Rgds
    Srini

    Dear Mahesh,
It is from SCM team they will create info record.
    Purchase dept will raise PO.
While creating PO by purchase dept & if Info record is not created then it should throw an error message saying info record is not existing for the item so that they can tell to SCM to create info record.
But currently sytem is saying an error saying that NET PRICE IS GREATER THAN 0 ONLY, as I told earlier in PO they can't enter price manually.
Hence error message during creation of PO should come as NO INFO RECORD EXIST.
I have made following settings:  IN SPRO SETTINGS FOR SCREEN LAYOUT MADE INFO RECORD AS MANDATORY.
MADE 06 136 AS AN ERROR MESSAGE.
After all this process still it is showing as NET PRICE IS GREATER THAN 0 ONLY

  • How the right price picking at the time of creating P.Order?

    Hai Experts,
I have a doubt when creating P.order how the right price is picking?Pls sugest me in detail. But i have an idea through Pricing procedure for this explain me in detail.
    Thanks to all in advance

    HI,
The primary job of a pricing procedure is to define a group of condition types in a particular sequence. The pricing procedure also determines:
    Which sub-totals appear during pricing
To what extent pricing can be processed manually
Which method the system uses to calculate percentage discounts and surcharges
Which requirements for a particular condition type must be fulfilled before the system takes the condition into account
The term pricing is used broadly to describe the calculation of prices (for external use by customers or vendors) and costs (for internal purposes, such as cost accounting). Conditions represent a set of circumstances that apply when a price is calculated.
The condition technique refers to the method by which the system determines prices from information stored in condition records.
In MM module, pricing procedure is used during RFQ and PO creation. Total value of material based on all addition and subtraction like discount, surcharge, tax, freight, etc. In this we are defining pricing procedure and linking to vendor and purchase department through the virtual schemas.
Following steps for pricing procedure as,
    1. Define conditions.
    2. Define pricing procedure.
    3. Define virtual purchase organization and vendor.
    4. Info Record.
    Customization for Pricing Procedure :
    1. Definition of Conditions :

    2. Defining pricing procedure :

    7. Linking Pricing procedure to virtual P.Org and virtual vendor :

    8. Linking virtual vendor to actual vendor-- /NXK02 then enter schema group vendor in Purchasing Data )

What are the steps in pricing determination in MM? Condition, Access sequence and schema.
In the SAP MM Pricing is more important. Just yesterday I have completed the Pricing as I am doing the SAPMM now. I can give some light on this Topic, not 100%. After 2 days definitely some more I can share.
The Basic thing is Condition Technique. In which there are
    1. Access Sequence 2. Condition Record 3. Condition Type 4. Condition Table.
A Access Sequence access a Condition Record of a Condition Type in a Condition Table is a Condition Technique. This is a simple logic
Here the Condition Type is very important like PB00, PBXX,RA01 etc.
In the background every Condition Type has its own defition means the purpose of the Condition Type like, is it for Pricing or Percentage, Quntity base, Accrual Feilds etc is to be defined to work this functions.
Normally we use the existing ones without any risk. But some cases, we have to Create a New Condition Types as per the organisation requirement.
The Pricing Schema is useful to minimise condition types while mention prices for Vendor on the basis of Pricing Schema which we defined according to organisation requirement.
The Pricing Schema means the calculations procedure of Condition Type.
Ex. RA01 - Discoount % is caclulated on PB00 - Gross Price means
RA01 is based on PB00 like that we have to define in the Pricing Schema
which makes easy to use in realtime.
Here PB00 has the Access Sequence - 0002.
But RA01 does not have the Access Sequence. Why because it is a dependent on PB00. But both are Condition Types.
In the system, by default some standard Scheme will be there at Vendor Schema Group in the Vendor Master Screen means the standard one is assigned which is very lengthy which may fullfil our requirement. But some cases which may not fullfil our requirement, in such we have to define.
For the configuration, I may not able to explain properly through here but will give some Idea.
Configuration: SPRO-IMG-Material Management- Purchasing- Conditions-Define Price Deternmination Process
    1. Define Access Sequence
    2. Define Condition Type
    3. Defince Calculation Schema:- Here you have to define the Schema
    Define Schema group
    1. Define Schema Group vendor
    2. Define Pricing Schema group
    3. Schema group for Purchase Organisation
    4. Assign Schema group to Purchase Organisation
    Define Schema determination
1.define calculation schema for Standard purchase organisation
After completion of the Schema Group, we have to assign it to Vendors.
Then whenever we use any transaction with this Vendor, the concerned Schema will work as configured by us.
I think this will help you. Actually the Pricing is a vast. Becuase each Condition have its own importance and each Access Sequence have its own importance. So you need not bother about this. First you learn how to define the Calculation Schema through the above.
Here we can create many Calculation Schemas which can assign one schema to Local vendors
another schema to out side vendor one more schema to foreign vendors like that we can classify.
Definitely it will help you something.
    Regards,
    Deepak.

  • Contract price not taken in the SC

    Hi,
We use contract management of the SRM EBP component. When creating SCs for internal Goods and service for a material on
local contract (PCTR) we found the price picked is the valuation price maintained in the material master rather than picking up from the source(contract).
    Thanks,

    Hi
Once the product price is imported from ECC to SRM and you maintain in product master (transaction COMMPR01), under conditions tab, the price details for the product in question, the SRM system will read locally the product price from this condition. This is the standard SRM system behaviour.
For example, the material xxxxxx was inserted in cart xxxxxxxx. This material which has a price condition maintained in COMMPR01. So, in this case, the price will be taken from the COMMPR01 and not from the local contract. The COMMPR01 condition overwrites the local contract price, as a price is maintained under the condition tab.
    hope this information helps.

  • Net Price in Purchase Order

    Hi,
We have contract with a vendor for a particular material with net price 1,483.59 EUR for 1000 PC. This net price is arrived from the below specified Item level conditions:
    Gross Price(PB00) : 1421.61 EUR for 1000 PC
    Surcharge(ZESC) : 4.360 %
When the Purchase Order is created for 100 PC(with reference to the above mentioned contract), then the net price picked proposed in the PO is 1,483.60 EUR for 1000 PC.
When the Purchase Order is created for 10 PC(with reference to the above mentioned contract), then the net price picked proposed in the PO is 1,484.00 EUR for 1000 PC.
When the Purchase Order is created for 20 PC(with reference to the above mentioned contract), then the net price picked proposed in the PO is 1,483.50 EUR for 1000 PC.
When the Purchase Order is created for 300 PC(with reference to the above mentioned contract), then the net price picked proposed in the PO is 1,483.57 EUR for 1000 PC.
When the Purchase Order is created for 800 PC(with reference to the above mentioned contract), then the net price picked proposed in the PO is 1,483.60 EUR for 1000 PC.
When the Purchase Order is created for 900 PC(with reference to the above mentioned contract), then the net price picked proposed in the PO is 1,483.59 EUR for 1000 PC.
Why is the net price fluctuating? Is there is any config setting based on which such differences are arising?
    Please guide me.
    With regards
    Krishna

    Hi Sanjay,
There is no Scale price specified in the Contract.

  • Modifying line item price in Purchase Order

    Hi guys,
Need your help regarding pricing modification in purchase order.  I know the below explanation is quite long enough, but still if you can look into it and put some thoughts:
The price picked for a line item from PIR, needs to be modified depending on total price.
Say for example, in a PO there are two line items
    Mat1     10PC 10 usd/1pc
    Mat2     10PC 20 usd/1pc
so total price for PO goes as 300 usd.
Now, if PO price exceeds 250 usd a different price needs to be picked from a custom table for line items. Say it should now become 8 usd/1PC and 18 usd/1PC for Mat1 and Mat2 respectively.
So, after entering PO items if the user presses the 'check' button, new price should be picked, as per the above example the new lines should be shown as
    Mat1     10PC 8 USD/1PC
    Mat2     10PC 18 USD/1PC
so total price for PO goes as 260 USD.
Hope I've made you clear about the requirement.
Now, what we are able to do so far is:
We have used the 'check' method BADI 'me_process_po_cust'. And we are calculating the total price and changing the item conditions.
But it's not reflecting on the me21n screen even after execution of the 'check' method successfully.
It still shows the line items as
    Mat1     10PC 10 USD/1PC
    Mat2     10PC 20 USD/1PC
But, now if we make any changes in the line items (say we add the requisitioner name) and hit ENTER the changed prices are reflected. And the items become
    Mat1     10PC 8 USD/1PC
    Mat2     10PC 18U SD/1PC
This is a thing we are stuck into.
Please express if you have any idea how to come out of this issue.
    Thanks in advance.

  • PBXX condition type to acees price when for the vendor/material combination

    Dear All,
Here the client requirment is that, they do not want to maintain inforecord for each vendor/material combination. They will maintain one inforecord for one vendor for a perticular material. So if they want to make a po with a diffrent vendor, they want the price to be copied from existing inforecord.
But i understand, if the inforecord does not exist for that vendor/material combination, then PBXX will come in to picture which will take the price from previous purchase order. If no po exist for that vendor/material combination, is there any way the PBXX will act and take price from existing inforecord.
(with a diffrent vendor for that perticular material)?.
Your responce to the above is highly apreciated.

    Hello,
As far as I know, the standard behaviour about which price should be displayed in the SRM shopping cart when you have an assigned info record to the cart is that the price would not be fetched from the backend to the EBP system.
In SRM, the SC shows the product price and not the info record one (as you have assigned the product to the SC).
You can use BBP_DOC_CHANGE_BADI to fill the info record price during the shopping cart creation.
However, as your shopping cart takes the info record price, perhaps this behaviour has changed in new release.
Question 6 of FAQ note 550071 refers to this topic.
    Kind regards,
    Ricardo
