Print PO after release

Hello Gurus,
I have a requirement that i will create the PO but i would like to have print when i release the same.
Please let me know how to do settings for the same.

Hi,
If you have release strategy activated, then the PO will not be printed unless released. You can test & check the same
Put a condition in your ABAP code that
if PO is not having "Release indicator" - 9 (EKKO-FRGKE)
then print should not be generated and Error message should display.
The other filed you can use is "Subject to Release" EKKO-FRGRL for put up condition

I am getting "update was terminated" message when I release a PO I.e. final release, this message I am getting only for PO for which outtype message with "4" " send immediately when saving the application" the output type is defined for print out.

- CALL DIALOG
- CALL TRANSACTION
- SUBMIT
How to correct the error
If the error is in one of your own ABAP programs or an SAP program that
you have modified, try to correct it.
If the error occurred in a non-modified SAP program, you may be
able to find a solution in the SAP note system.
If you have access to the note system yourself, use the following
search criteria:
"POSTING_ILLEGAL_STATEMENT"
"SAPLSPO1 " or "LSPO1U04 "
"POPUP_TO_CONFIRM_WITH_MESSAGE"

Hi,
It appears the program is triggering the output, but due to some problems, the output program canot execute it fully. The probable reasons may be:
1. The Form (Smartform or SAP Script) assignment to the output type. The Form may be in-accessible or may the version assigned to the Output type is not active.
2. The Driver Program for the output may be trying to access/update some table which it is not able to perform. Try to test and check print preview/ manual print is possible or not.
3. Printer assignment to message may be faulty, i.e the printer assigned is not in system, or the printer layout assigned is not supporting. Check SP01 to find out the printer settings.
For finding the actual cause, you can look into ST22 and take APAPers helps to find out by debugging.

Print after releasing PO.

I am taking print immediately after release. Now I am getting 1 copy.Can I take 2 copies. What i Have to do for this?

Please do to ME9F, enter the Document no( PO no. ) in the message data application- EF, if you have already taken print out please enter "1" in procesing status. and execute.
you will have list of the document and no of times print taken in the screen.
Tick the check box and go to message details you will find output line, select the line by clicking in the extreleft and press the button " repeat output" and save the arrangement.
Come out and again use the ME9F screen with details as earlier but processing status as " 0" instead of 1. Execute it, inside you will fine the document alone for processing.
Take out as many prints as you want directly or if u have SPOOL request getting generated you can go to either SP01/SP02 Txn code and can give as many prints as you want. Do not delete the spool number if you wish to have more prints in future and remember the spool no for future use.

PO print after release

Hi Experts,
Is it possible that as soon as the PO released from final approval it automatically moves for printing to the attached computer ? Or else can we defined a computer in SAP where all POu2019s will get printed automatically after final releasing.

you define your message determination as usual, just ignore the release strategy.
The message gets created when you create the order, with release strategy it just does not print until it is released, the release of the PO then allows to print as usual.
If you have set the indicator to 4 for print immediatly, then it will print immediatly with the release.
if you have set the indicator to 1 then you will find the message as usual in ME9F after it is released.

Print after release

Hi gurus,
we have an issue with some users that every time they release a PO through ME28 the system automatically prints, when it is not always wanted.
Any help regarding where this setting is would be really appreciated.

The Pos which have got printed automatically after they have been released because of
1) The dispatch time for the output types for printed POs was maintained as "4 - Send immediately (on saving the application"
2) When the PO was saved it goes under release strategy and the output is not send out but remains as "in processed" state. (expected behaviour:- as when the PO is under release, the PO cannot be send to the vendor)
3) After the PO is released, the message gets outputted.
You can check the "Further Data" of the output message. If the dispatch time was 4 then you can confirm that the above was the case.

Purchase order print out before release of p.o.

Dear Experts,
At present the process is as follows.
Client prepares a purchase order. The purchase order is then released by 4 authorities.
Clients requirement is that after release of P.O. if any modifications has to be done then system should not ask for revoking of the release indicators. Sytem shold allow to change the quantity and price to the 1st release authority and at the same time the system also allow to take the print of the Purchase order.
Please guide me how the same can happen in sap mm.

You need to define a routine program
Follow the path: SPRO--> MM --> Purchasing --> Messages --> Output control --> Maintain Requirements for Message Control.
Kindly make changes in the routine relevant for the Purchase Order Application with the help of a technical guy and make it as per your requirement.
Then Go to: Message Determination Schema --> Define message schema for Purchase Order

Entry Sheet Printout only after Release

I wanna know if its possible to configure that an Entry Sheet could only be printed after released?
If so, how could this be made?

In the IMG ->External services management->Messages->output control for
SES->Define access sequence for SES -> select access sequence 0001->
select (for example) table 506 ->fields
...here you will see that you can add KZABN to communication
structure KOMKBES. If the entry sheet was accepted, KZABN with "A" must be checked. Please create also a condition record accordingly (MN13).
Please check additionally:
spro > material management   > external services Management   >
messages   > define condition table for service entry sheet   > create
condition table
There is on acceptance on the right hand pannel under field
catalog, please make sure you select this field and move them to the
left hand panel
If this is setup correctly , then please check the following:
- the output type use for service entry sheet. If it is NEU (SAP
standard) , check the access sequence assigned
- check the configuration of access sequence, whether this customzied
condition is assigned?
- If it is assign, whether the exclusive flag is setup
if the above customizing is correct, the next step is to check the
output condition record via txn MN15 (to display)
Please also check the flags which you have assigned to your message determination schema in the customizing under "Assign Schema to Service Entry Sheet "

Why Delivery doc. printed when we release credit check at VKM5.

when user1 create delivery doc. delivery note gets printed with output type WMTA after that user2 releases delivery through credit check (VKM5) this time again delivery doc. printed.
why delivery doc gets printed when user2 releases the delvery doc from credit check.

check in output procedure against your output - WMTA any routine is assigned, take help of abap and ask him t check the routine. Next check output program where system is not checking the processing status from NASt table before printing.
May you need to write logic as above.

Crystal Report (RDC) doesn't print correctly, after Printer change ?

There are problems with the page format and the color settings for the new printer !
It should be resolved with ADAPT01104291 FixPack3.8
Description: Crystal reports may not print properly after users change printers by using the SelectPrinter command from the Report Designer Component (RDC). The cause of the problem is that the incorrect DEVMODE structure size is allocated to the print job.
We are using CRXI_R2_SP5_Upgrade: ProductID=11.5.11.1470.2.26.Patch

Hello Don, thank you for your extensive answer. The PCL printer of HP is not the trouble maker. The problem is obviously replicable with any other Printer Driver (Espon/Sharp/Kycocera a. s. o.) I only installed this PCL Printer Driver of course you mentioned it in your example before.

I can change the default windows printer settings but that has no effect on the RDC-Print ! So I think, there must be a solution by the Crystal-Report-Design-printing-DLL (craxdrt.dll) !

HP LaserJet 300 M375 nw cancels print job after a few pages

I just received a new replacement MFP through the insurance I purchased through Office Depo. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the software on my desktop and my work laptop in order to get this one working. I'm on wifi with both computers. The printer is automatically cancelling my print jobs after 7 - 9 pgs when I'm trying to print 25 or 50 pages at one time. Also, I'm not able to get the "scan" icon to show up on my desktop on my laptop.

HP Officejet Pro L7590 won't print correctly after it sits a few days Windows Vista USB connection

I have a HP Officejet Pro L7590 All In One. It all of a sudden will not print correctly after it sits a few days. I purchased a new black/yellow printhead recently and it did print well for about a week. If it sits a few days, it acts up again. All I have to do to fix it is take out the yellow/black printhead clean with sterile water on a q tip the printhead, put it back in, and walla it prints again until the next time I want to use the printer, and the same thing again. Today I printed out some pictures after not using the printer for 5 days, the pics had large vertical stripes in them, the stripes have colors in them. I cleaned the printhead and it worked perfectly. Any ideas. I have replaced the black cartride, and the yellow recently.

This is a little outside our area of printing, but I'll try and help you the best I can. My question for you is the printer showing up under the USB menu in Parallels. If it's not showing up then you need to determine why the USB connection isn't showing up in your Parallels USB menu. This could be a couple of issues, but the one that I think might be happening is the version of the USB port your using. Can you verify that you're not connecting the printer via a USB 3.0 port. Try plugging into one of your other USB ports to see if the printer will show up in the parallels USB menu.

Which model of the Officejet 8500A series do you have? Typically you can find it inside the printer where you change the ink cartridges. Example: A910g, A910a, etc.
Has anything changed recently since the problem started? Is the printer plugged into a wall outlet or a surge protector? Do you have the latest firmware installed? I also suggest running the HP Hardware Diagnostic Utility. Let me know if it finds anything out.

OfficeJet 6700 - "Unable to communicate with printer" message after install

I am on a hybrid network with Windows 7, 64-bit. Printer is hard-wired to the router (ethernet) but laptops are wireless. Installation doesn't allow for a hybrid option, just wireless or wired, so I installed as wired.
I just installed the OfficeJet 6700 - installed OK. I also updated software/firmware during the install process.
Windows' "Devices & Printers" recognizes the HP as being installed.
Printer is able to produce the network configuration page, etc. so we know the printer is functional, but when I try to print I get an "Unable to communicate with printer" message.
Windows' "Devices and Printers" troubleshooter thinks the driver is not installed, but as I mentioned, I just installed software from the CD.
UPDATE: I was able to install & print without problems on my wife's Win7, 64-bit laptop. Something about mine seems to be the issue. Also, HP Print & Scan Doctor reports that everything checks out OK, but when I try to print a test page at the end of the good doctor's diagnosis, I am still "unable to communicate with printer."

Sorry this is so long, but I tried to be through in my testing.
Followed your suggested steps.
I had previously set a static IP address, but just to be thorough, re-set it again with the same address.
I unplugged the USB cord from the laptop.
I began with the device labeled "HP OfficeJet 6700 (Copy 1)," which was set as the default printer.
After entering the IP address & clicking Next, it searched the network and returned this message:
Additional port information required
The device could not be identified.
The device is not found on the network. Be sure that:
1. The device is turned on.
The network is connected.
The device is properly configured.
The address on the previous page is correct. (re: the page where the IP address is entered)
If you are sure the address is correct, select the device type below.
I selected Standard (Generic Network Card) and clicked Next.
Summary dialog appeared and I clicked Finish.
Clicked OK/Apply.
Attempted to print. Like before, it sent the file to print queue - then nothing.
Right-clicked on the "Copy 1" device and selected Troubleshoot. Returned the message: Make printer "Fax HP OfficeJet 6700 the default printer" - even though this copy is already the default printer. (Usually when the original copy is set as the default, this copy is automatically re-named "Fax HP OfficeJet 6700.") I chose "Apply this fix."
Summary page said "Troubleshooting has completed." I closed the troubleshooter and attempted to print. I closed the Devices & Printers window so it could refresh. Re-opened Devices & Printers. Now the default printer is named "Fax HP OfficeJet 6700." The other device is grayed out and is simply named "HP OfficeJet 6700."
Attempted to print. (I'm testing w/ Notepad and .txt files)
I have 3 choices in the Notepad's printer dialog box but only 2 devices showing in the Devices & Printers window:
~ "Fax HP OfficeJet 6700" - This is the default printer in the Devices and Printers window. I clicked on Print & rec'd an error message: "Send Fax - HP Officejet 6700. There is a problem communicating with the Printer. Check your USB connection & verify that the printer is ready." Notepad's print dialog box shows status as Offline. I canceled all documents in the print queue.
~ "HP OfficeJet 6700." When I choose this printer option, Notepad's print dialog box shows status as "Paused - Offline." I clicked on "Print" anyway, and like before, it sent the file to print queue - then nothing. This is the printer that shows as grayed out in the Devices & Printers window. I canceled all documents in the print queue.
~ "HP OfficeJet 6700 (Copy 1)." There is no printer by this name in the Devices and Printers window even tho' it shows in Notepad's print dialog box. Notepad's print dialog box shows status as "Ready." In Devices & Printers, when I right-click on the one labeled "Fax OfficeJet 6700" (the default device) and choose "See what's printing," 2 HP devices are listed - the one labeled "Copy 1" and the one labeled "Fax." I clicked on "Print" and like before, it sent the file to print queue - then nothing. I canceled all documents in the print queue.
I plugged in the USB cord again and re-ran the same series of tests.
~ "Fax HP OfficeJet 6700" - This is still the default printer in the Devices and Printers window. Notepad's print dialog box shows status as "Ready." The fax window opened, waiting me to enter the recipient's name, add a cover sheet, etc. I closed the fax window. The .txt file was in the print queue for the "Fax" device, so I canceled all documents in the print queue.
~ "HP OfficeJet 6700." When I choose this printer option, Notepad's print dialog box shows status as "Paused - Offline." I clicked on "Print" anyway, and like before, it sent the file to print queue - then nothing. This is grayed out in the Devices & Printers window. I canceled all documents in the print queue.
~ "HP OfficeJet 6700 (Copy 1)." Again, there is no printer by this name in the Devices and Printers window even tho' it shows in Notepad's print dialog box. This is one of 2 choices in the device labeled "Fax" - the default device. Notepad's print dialog box shows status as "Ready." I clicked on "Print" and like before, it sent the file to print queue - then nothing. I canceled all documents in the print queue.
Next, I used the printer's touch screen interface and turned the wireless connection off, leaving the USB cord plugged in.
~ "Fax HP OfficeJet 6700" - Status: Ready. The fax window opened, same as before. I closed the fax window & canceled all documents in the print queue.
~ "HP OfficeJet 6700 - Status: Paused - Offline. I clicked on "Print" anyway, and like before, it sent the file to print queue - then nothing. This one shows as grayed out in the Devices & Printers window. I canceled all documents in the print queue.
~ "HP OfficeJet 6700 (Copy 1)" - Status: Error. I clicked Apply, then Print. Again, this is one of 2 choices in the device labeled "Fax" - the default device. Like before, it sent the file to print queue - then nothing. I canceled all documents in the print queue.
Reconnected to the wireless network & verified that the IP address had not changed.
Tried again to print using "HP OfficeJet 6700 (Copy 1)" - Status: Ready. I clicked Print and again, it sent the file to print queue - then nothing. This is still listed as one of 2 choices in the device labeled "Fax" - the default device." Like before, I canceled all documents in the print queue.
Next, I right-clicked on the one labeled "Fax OfficeJet 6700" (the default device) and choose "See what's printing" and selected the device labeled "HP OfficeJet 6700 (Copy 1)." In the print queue window, when I click on "Printer, one of my options is "Set as Default Printer." As soon as I did that, the device in the Devices & Printers window was renamed as "HP OfficeJet 6700 (Copy 1)" - no longer named "Fax." I tried to print again. Once again, file was sent to the print queue but never printed.

HT1338 Do I have to reinstall my print drivers after upgrading to 10.8? I seem to have lost both my printers and my ability to download from my camera. Never had problems with 10.7. I'm a little scared.

Have you repaired permissions and restarted your computer after installing ML? Checked your printer settings in System Preferences?
If Software Update does not list any updated drivers for your model printer, you should go to the printer's manufacturer website and download the drivers from there and/or contact their tech support to determine if your printer is compatible w/ML.
Read the various Knowledge Base ML printing articles. Here are a few to get you started:
