Print Report & Download CSV link missing in Custom SQL Report template

Hi All,
In Apex 3.1, I've been using the default templates till some color change issues forced me to create a custom one.
The problem is my Download CSV and Print (excel,pdf) are gone in the new report. How would I reference them in report template to get those links back? (using # presuming)
many thanks.

SOLVED.
The # thing is called substitution string. To make them show in your custom report use #CSV_LINK# In your Report Template.
To shove it right, encapsulate it in DIV. <di v align=right>#CSV_LINK#</D IV>

  • Interactive Report Download CSV file Issue (output includes separator BR)

    Hi,
    I have a Interactive Report and displaying the column values (multiple values in same ROW) as mentioned below.
    SQL Query
      select deptno,
           function1(empno) empno
      from emp
    IR Output
    Dept       Employee No
    10         AAA,BBB,CCC, ...    // -  Row 1
    20         XXX,YYY,ZZZ, ...    // -  Row 2 Now I want to display each employee in a new Line, so modified the SQL Query
    Modified SQL Query
      select deptno,
           REPLACE(function1(empno),',','<br>') empno
      from emp
    New IR Output
    Dept       Employee No
    10         AAA
               BBB
               CCC
               ...    // -  Row 1
    20         XXX
               YYY
               ZZZ
                ...    // -  Row 2 SO, Interactive Report Out put looks fine and that's the way we want.
    But the problem is when I download the Report in CSV or in PDF using the Action Menu -> Download..
    I am getting break line B R in the output, and also I have two different output in CSV for two different column. [Logic is same for both the columns.]
    CSV output1
    Employee No
      AAA<br>BBB<br>CCC
      XXX<br>YYY<br>ZZZI have other columns also with multiple values...for that column, I am getting the following CSV output
    CSV output2
    City List
      1111<br>
      2222<br>
      3333<br>So, in CSV for one column, I am getting all the values in same line with the seperator B R (Output1)
    for other column, I am getting values in new line with the separator B R. (Output2)
    Is there a way to FIX this CSV or PDF output for Interactive Report.
    I DON'T WANT THE SEPARATOR BR in CSV and also the values should always be in New Line.
    I want to have the following Output in CSV
    Employee No
      AAA
      BBB
      CCCThanks,

    Thanks.. Jari.. for the quick response.
    I updated my SQL query with Chr(10) and added the code in Page HTML header.
    Now the CSV & PDF output are fine..getting each individual value in seperate line (no BR tag)
    BUT in the Interactive Report Output, I am now getting first 2 values in 1 line, then next value in next line, and so on..
    IR Output
    Employee
      AAA BBB
      CCCCCCC
      DDDDDI have few more issues with CSV & PDF output
    1. In PDF is there a way to increase the column width, as for some of the columns, the values are getting truncated.
    2. For some of the columns in IR Report, I have user BR tag in Column Heading and this also come in CSV output (column heading with BR tag), is there a way to fix this. In PDF Column headings are fine (no BR tag)
    and by the way..what exactly this does.

  • Discoverer Custom SQL Report with Group By,Having

    Hi all,
    I'm working with Discoverer 4.1.41.05 and retrieve data from Oracle HRMS.
    I want to create a report based on a custom SQL Folder in Discoverer Administration to solve the following scenario:
    SELECT EMPLOYEE_NUMBER FROM PER_ALL_PEOPLE_F
    MINUS
    SELECT EMPLOYEE_NUMBER FROM PER_ALL_PEOPLE_F,PER_EVENTS, PER_BOOKINGS
    GROUP BY EMPLOYEE_NUMBER
    HAVING SUM(PER_EVENTS.ATTRIBUTE1) >= 10)
    The problem is when I run the sql from SQL*Plus is working fine producing the correct result.
    When I create the Custom Folder and create a Discoverer report based on it I retrieve all employees since the second select statement retrieve no rows!
    Does anyone has any idea how I can solve this problem or if there is another way to create this scenario?
    Any feedback is much appreciated.
    Thanking you in advance.
    Elena

    Hi Elena,
    I think you are missing some joins, you could try something like:
    SELECT EMPLOYEE_NUMBER FROM PER_ALL_PEOPLE_F p
    WHERE NOT EXISTS
    (SELECT NULL
    FROM PER_EVENTS e, PER_BOOKINGS b
    WHERE b.person_id = p.person_id
    AND e.event_id = b.event_id
    GROUP BY b.person_id
    HAVING SUM(e.ATTRIBUTE1) >= 10)

  • Cant Print or Download a Linked Report

    I have a report which displays three other reports. But when i download it or print it, i get blank pages.
    Can anyone help me with this?
    Thanks,
    Garima

    Hi, This is because SSRS requires a Login to connect to the datasource to process the report when subscription will be occuring at its scheduled time. I would recommend you to store the credential securily into report server.
    GoTo: Report>Properties> Click on the Data Sources tab and you will see following options:
    a)A shared data source
    b)A custom data source
    Use option b) and click on option Credentials stored securely in the report server
    and provide credential information and further you can use options: Windows credentials and Impersonate the authenticated User if you require. Click on apply button.
    *You can use any option of them provided in first option(a) also using the shared data source which is having credential saved into report server.
    Once you have done with above you will be able to create subscription.

  • Custom SQL Reports

    I am confused by the use of dates in my SQL. I am getting different totals and can't quite understand why or which syntax is correct. Please see below. Why am I getting 286 and 300?
    Query #1 yields 286 tickets.SELECT Count(tickets.created_at) AS "Total Tickets" FROM ticketsWHERE tickets.created_at between '2015-06-01' and '2015-06-30'ORDER BY "Total Tickets" DESCQuery #2 yields 300 tickets.SELECT Count(tickets.created_at) AS "Total Tickets" FROM ticketsWHERE tickets.created_at between '2015-06-01 00:00:00.000' and '2015-06-30 23:59:59.999'ORDER BY "Total Tickets" DESCQuery #3 yields 286 tickets.SELECT Count(tickets.created_at) AS "Total Tickets" FROM ticketsWHERE tickets.created_at between datetime('now','start of month', '-1 month') and datetime('now','start of month','-1 day')ORDER BY "Total Tickets" DESC

    I found a trick.
    Login as sys on the Grid Repository and execute the following:
    insert into sysman.mgmt_ip_report_elem_def values('target_user_table_from_sql','database_target_type',
    'target_user_table_from_sql',
    'oracle.sysman.db.util.reports.TableTargetRenderController',0,NULL,'EM',NULL,
    '10.2.0.1.0');
    Insert into SYSMAN.MGMT_IP_ELEM_PARAM_CLASSES
    (ELEMENT_NAME_NLSID, ELEMENT_TYPE_NLSID, ELEMENT_PARAM_CLASS, DISPLAY_ORDER)
    Values ('target_user_table_from_sql', 'database_target_type','oracle.sysman.eml.ip.render.elem.HeaderParamController',
    1);
    Insert into SYSMAN.MGMT_IP_ELEM_PARAM_CLASSES
    (ELEMENT_NAME_NLSID, ELEMENT_TYPE_NLSID, ELEMENT_PARAM_CLASS, DISPLAY_ORDER)
    Values ('target_user_table_from_sql', 'database_target_type', 'oracle.sysman.eml.ip.render.elem.SQLStatementParamController', 2);
    Commit;
    Then you get ja new target type on the Report page in enterprise Manager.
    "target_user_table_from_sql".
    Then you write sql scripts which are executet at the Target database.

  • Report on activities linked to custom object

    Hi,
    Is there a way show on a report each activity linked to a custom object record? e.g.
    Custom Object name 1 , Activity 1 subject
    Custom Object name 1 , Activity 2 subject
    Custom Object name 1 , Activity 3 subject
    When i use the Custom Object 1 reporting area i add the custom object "name" feild to my report then add "Activity Subject". Each custom object record can have many activity records, however when I run my report it says "No Results" despite there being data set up?
    I tried a similar report but instead of showing activities i tried accounts, of which there are a number linked to a single custom object record. When i ran the report it showed a single row for each custom object record, almost as though it was a one to one realtionship between custom object and account, rather than a one to many?
    Any thoughts on what might be going wrong? or how i can report on activities per custom object record?
    Thanks

    Using CO and account subject area, it should be possible to show M:M associations between CO and Account.
    But for CO and activity, reporting on M:1 association alone is possible using CO subject areas.

  • Using a report value for a where clause in other report

    Hi All,
    i'm getting kinda nuts here. I created a page with three reports.
    First report show the name of the user who logged in with his/her whole name. Second report shows the year, week, begin/end date of the week for the user in the first report. The third report show the hours the user worked in the week selected in the second report.
    The link between first and second report is on column report. Somehow i managed it to work with second_report.mdw_code = :P3_ACRONIEM. I have no idea were this P3_ACRONIEM item is coming from, while i have no items in my page whatsoever. Now i need to link the second report to the third report. I have to use the second_report.mdw_code, second_report.year and second_report.week but i have no idea how to link these together. Any idea's? (Like making items, but then i have no idea how to link that item to the value in the second report). Please help.
    Kind regards,
    Dave
    The link between the first and the second i could get it to work with :P3_ACRONIEM. I have no idea where this ITEM is coming from, because i have no items in my page (and it's the only page in the application). Then

    Hi Dave,
    If I understand you correctly, you have a one report that lists users, a second report that lists dates and a final report that shows hours worked?
    If so, you may find it easiest to have hidden fields on your page and base the second and third reports on these using appropriate WHERE clauses. (I generally put hidden fields in a region in the "After Header" position)
    So, if the first report contains a USER_ID field, have a hidden field called P1_USER_ID. The link on the first report will branch back to the same page and set the value of P1_USER_ID to #USER_ID# The second report can then use WHERE USER_ID = :P1_USER_ID. When the page reloads, the second report redisplays and is filtered to show only those records relating to the selected USER_ID in the first report.
    To extend this, if the second report contains WEEK_NUMBER, it should have a link that branches back to the same page and sets a hidden P1_WEEK_NUMBER field with #WEEK_NUMBER#. The third report should when have WHERE WEEK_NUMBER = :P1_WEEK_NUMBER AND USER_ID = :P1_USER_ID. You can, if need be, have and set more than one hidden field during each link.

  • Add SQL reporting services to get Azure sql db data

    Dear all,
    I have read recently that SQL server reporting services as been remmoved from Azure services. I have a SQL server database on azure which collect different type of data which are collected from a web admin portal by my users.
    I have a strong need to bring to that admin web portal a flexible reporting solution for my users to monitor collected data.
    Of course I can bring dash board to web application but often it is painful to change web app when a user want different type of report.
    What could be the way now to use online reporting service in orde to bring online report for my user of my sql azure database ?
    regards
    serge

    Hi serge,
    Based on my understanding, you want to use SQL Azure database to design the report, right?
    As you mentioned,
    Azure SQL Reporting is officially discontinued, so that we can’t design reports with Azure SQL Reporting. However, only the Azure cloud implementation of SQL Reporting is discontinued. All other forms of Reporting Services technology are unaffected. In
    Reporting services, it’s supported connect to SQL Azure database. So in your scenario, you can connect to the SQL Azure database to design the report. For more information, please refer to this article:
    How to connect to SQL Azure using SQL Server Reporting Services 2008 R2.
    If you have any question, please feel free to ask.

        // Set report id
        $s('P1_REPORT_ID','#REGION_STATIC_ID#'.substr(1));

  • Interactive Report Download to CSV limit is 65535 in APEX 3.2

    Hello ,
    I have an IR report in APEX 3.2 that returns around 75,000 rows . I have set the maximum row count in the report attributes under Pagination to 200,000 rows.
    Despite this when I download the report to CSV, only 65535 rows are downloaded .
    Is this a known bug with APEX 3.2 ? can someone please share the link if this bug is documented.
    If not, Is there some other attribute I need to change to increase the download limit ?
    Thanks,
    Dippy
    Edited by: Dippy on Jan 7, 2011 1:59 PM

    Hi Tony,
    Thanks for the reply . I have adjusted maximum row count to 100,000, even then I can download only 65535 .
    I have around 12-15 Interactive Reports(each with different Query) and I do not want to write a custom download procedure for each report and also the application is in production.
    I just want to understand(confirm) if it is a existing bug (3.2) , if there is any patch that will solve this or if there is a setting somewhere that I have missed.
    Can you please check with some other query on your 3.2 installation ?
    I ran a test on
    select rownum
    from all_objects where rownum < = 80000Norma report I was able to download all the rows but IR stopped at 65535
    Thanks,

  • Download Link as a Column of Report

    Hi All,
    I really tried from my side to somehow implement this requirement but couldn't find a way.
    Requirement: A report with two main columns - One has unique value and the other has a download link. This download link need to be used to fetch a set of data from the database table using the other column's (unique) value. Then, user should get a popup on his screen to download the fetched data in csv format.
    Please give some guidance or pointers to resolve this issue.
    Regards,
    Mangal

    Hi Mangal
    I've done this before actually. You can create a dummy page with a process (on load before header) as a PL/SQL anonymous block. I got code from Denes Kubicek's site which has details of how to generate CSV output using the htp.prn funtion. Then I created the 'download' link in a report column to go to that page passing a value into a hidden field with the unique id of the row.
    The code on the new page looks something like this but I would refer to Denes' work for full information (most of this is copied from him).
    BEGIN
    -- Set the MIME type
    owa_util.mime_header( 'application/octet', FALSE );
    -- Set the name of the file
    htp.p('Content-Disposition: attachment; filename="download.csv"');
    -- Close the HTTP Header
    owa_util.http_header_close;
    htp.prn('Header Name,');
    FOR x IN   (SELECT field1, field2, field3...
                  FROM my_table
                  WHERE my_id = :PX_HIDDEN_ID)

  • HELP IR Download filtered saved report to CSV

    Hi there
    My enquiry is to do with the saved reports feature in Interactive Reports Apex 4.1
    I create a default IR report and then I subsequently define a filter on this report effectively limiting the displayed output to the rows of data I want to see. I then save the report which is now a 'private' report. If I run the 'saved' (with the filter condition) IR report it displays the data correctly, with the 'saved' report displaying the correct data on the screen I then click Actions->Download and then select CSV - the entire 'primary' report is downloaded -- The filter is ignored!!! Surely the Actions->Download should 'know' that I want download the report that's being displayed (just run) on the screen?
    I think that when you click on the CSV icon the report is re-submitted - How can I get the CSV download to apply the filter that I've defined in the saved report.
    I've searched this forum and found the following similar question being asked

    Thanks in advance
    PS: Is the above an undocumented feature of Apex IR Reports?

    Hi Sathish,
    Thanks for your comment.
    I agree with just a 'default' report the CSV download always gives what is displayed on the screen. If you then define another report with a filter condition and run this 'private' report 'sometimes' the CSV download gives the origional primary report, ignoring the filter condition. Please see the attached links as other people are also getting the same problem.
