Printer Care Pack

I have a HP Photosmart C4588 All-in-One Printer (Serial: CN88RF31S7057K) which I have bought on 10th Feb, 2009. Can it be possible to purchase one care pack for the printer now?

  • 1) "Care Pack" product registration page error 2) Driver download page error - links don't work

    I cannot register my printer because the page has "Care Pack" product registration page has errors:

    I fill in all the information and click the blue "Submit Query" button, and nothing happens except 3 silver "Submit Query" buttons appear below where it says, "Search results" "Select the product that you want to register." But there are no results! And why 3 buttons if no results?
    Cookies and scripts are enabled. I did that and refreshed the page before I entered anything, so nothing is getting rejected.
    It seems the website has a lot of problems...the download links on the driver page wouldn't work either, so I had to get them from a 3rd party. I am lucky to find a reliable site! (The driver was official and the printer finally installed correctly, which it couldn't even find if I let Windows search online!)

    When you call, listen for a menu option for Care Pack or Warranty services -- lacking that option, try for Post Sales.  You don't want to end up with Tech Support, they cannot help you and you will end up being bounced back.     Have your paper work in front of you, you will need your Care Pack number(s).
    You MIGHT be able to get this handled via CHAT (USA or Canada) -- your best bet is to talk to someone in the department.  It takes less time and is worth the few minutes in the queue.  (Personal experience.)

  • Care packs

    about two months ago i purchased hp care pack for my hp printer. the experation date on the care pack was incorrect. ian from customer support has been working on this problem for over a month. the issue still has not been reosolved. ian has been trying to correct this problem, but so far with no success. i am very disappointed in hp. does not seem that hard to correct an incorrect date. with this problem, i am concerned that if i need to place a claim on my printer, that i will have a problem getting my printer fixed. very disappointe in hp.

    If vze2mp9g wanted to know where to download the "Generic/Universal Printer Driver", he would have ASKED for that! Anyone could find what you gave him as a pathetic answer! Worse of all, you are more than likely getting paid for that answer!
    What was asked is "where can he download "HP Easy Printer Care" software!" I have the same printer with the same problem! If it's no longer available, then just say that it's not available! If you have to PURCHASE (buy it with money) it, then say how can he purchase it!
    I know that ENGLISH is a hard language to learn, but even if you look up all the words in the question on your iPad/iPod/iPhone/Android/ or what ever you have, you'll find all the meanings of the words. If you still don't understand the question, then it's English Grammer you don't understand.
    I'm asking you very nicely not to send customers on a "wild goose (a bird) chase", and be straight forward with your answer! I, personally, have called HP technical support when I first purchased my HP Color laserJet 3800dn printer, and they immediately recognized that I wasn't the average PC user who almost knows nothing about computers, and we "troubled shooted" the problem, and I was able to fix the problem without taking it to a HP dealer to fix!
    This coming Monday, June 17, 2013, I will call HP at the number your provided, and ask them if the HP Easy Printer Care software is available, and how can I obtain it. I will also mention the customer service support on HP's website forum was bad! Good customer service is to ASSIST (HELP) the customer and not just give the customer some generic answer which leaves the customer asking why wasn't the question answered "No, HP Easy Printer Care Software is no longer supported, if you want, you can download the universal printer driver for your printer." End of question.

  • Trying To Renew My Care Pack

    HP,
    You sent me a letter offering to renew the Care Pack on my LaserJet 3055.  I would like to do that.
    Unfortunately, I have wasted more than a half hour trying to find someone on the phone willing to accept my money.
    The number you sent me, (800) 474-6836 is a waste of time.  I can find no helpful information either on the URL you sent, www.hp.com/support.
    I have owned HP for at least 20 years.
    Please advise.

    Unfortunately, although I work for HP, I don't know much about Care Pack support as I do not work for that area within the company.  I did however do some more digging today and I believe I have found the correct site where you can renew your Care Pack support online any time of the day that is convenient for you.
    If you go to:  http://h10010.www1.hp.com/wwpc/us/en/sm/WF08a/18972-18972-3328064-12004-3328082-1161389.html, it will take you to the supplies and accessories page for the Laserjet 3055.  If you click on the gray tab that says:  "Accessories, supplies & services", then there are several Care Pack options.  There is one for Hardware, one for Installation, and one for Software.  If you click on the one you are interested in, then you are given several different purchase options.

  • Have Care Pack Certificate but cannot reach support for home fix

    G62x-400 Notebook. I purchased Care Pack Certificate for "In Home" repair. Since new, the PC has had a very noisy fan, sometimes actually screaming. When I called tech support, I waited forever. When finally connected, the agent put me on hold "to speak to a hardware person" but never returned to the phone. HP says it has "aware-winning service". I have not been impressed.
    All I need is for someone to fulfill the terms of the Care Pack and come to my place and fix the computer. Why is that so difficult to make happen? 

    I just chatted with a HP representative, within 1 minute I have been answered and 20 minutes later I got a service order for a repair.  I don't have the in-home repair though but you may try doing it, I found out they replies fast.

    Sorry, but AppleCare cannot be transferred. You can cancel the plan and get at least a partial refund of the plan price, though, and then purchase a new plan for the new iPad. Instructions for cancelling the plan on the stolen unit can be found in the AppleCare terms and conditions:

    Guidelines
    * The purchase and activation of a Post Warranty HP Care Pack service should occur no earlier than the last 90 days of the existing coverage period and no later than 30 days after the existing coverage period has expired.
    Post Warranty HP Care Pack is only available for 1 or 2 year options. At no time should two or more Post Warranty HP Care Packs be purchased at the same time for a given piece of hardware equipment. The purchase and activation of a subsequent Post Warranty service should occur within the last 90 days of the existing Post Warranty coverage period if additional coverage is desired and the service is still offered.
    Post Warranty HP Care Packs cannot be purchased at the time of new hardware purchased in order to extend base warranty duration. The appropriate HP Care Pack should be purchased for duration required.

    My Questions:-
    So,  here are the 3 packages I found in HP Store:----
    1. HP 2 year Pickup and Return Service for 1 year warranty Spectre Notebook (UM965E)
    2. HP 3 year Accidental Damage Protection w/Pickup and Return Service 1 year warranty Spectre Notebook (UM950E)
    3. HP 3 year Pickup and Return Service for 1 year warranty Spectre Notebook (UM966E)
    My warranty expired 6th January 2014, still eligible for an extension.
    So as per BOLDED above mentioned...
    Meaning, I only eligible for Package #1 and I cannot buy & use #2 or #3?
    I would certainly prefer Accidental Damage Protection, but if only I am eligible...

    As I said and wjosten said, you cannot get AppleCare in India for an iPhone sold in the US.  You cannot get any service suppot on that iPhone in India.  The support is only available in the US on an iPhone sold in the US.  And you will have to return to the US to get that support or send it to someone in the US to deal with Apple.
    Apple is quite clear about the warranty support on iPhones and iPads: they are not covered by universal warranties.

    I bought a HP Envy Desktop 810-160ea earlier in the year and as it said that you could purchse a care pack any time during the first year I have put it off a bot.  I am still well within the first year but when I try to but the care pack it says there isnt pne available

    Welcome to the HP Community Forum.
    You have to contact HP directly on this one.  We cannot help with Warranty questions -- it is not in our purview.  Only HP can help answer specifics on Warranty and only the Care Pack folks can help with their packages.
    As I recall, there is a menu item for Care Pack when you call on the phone, or just select the menu item for Warranties if it is available.
    If you are in the US and you do still have you Warranty, you could probably use CHAT / email -- again, though, it is best if you can talk to the Care Pack people -- they do know their product lines the best and can more quickly answer any questions.  This is a personal opinion; I don't work for HP.

    I have taken a care pack for one year for my HP notebook Serial no. {Personal Information Removed}. my machine is NB PC HP2000-2116TU. I have purchased my Notebook on 15-July-12. Now I don't want to use this care pack facility which is aplicable from 15-July-13. Could you please suggest how can I canceled this facility and get my money back.
