Printing information sheet...?

My printer prints an information sheet before each print job. It includes the document name, number of characters, and so forth. I print from Microsoft Word 2007. How am I able to turn this feature off because it wastes paper?

Hi
At some time in the past a user of your word program seems to have selected a print option in MS word that prints out a "Document Properties" page for each document you print.
If you open word & & open a document  you have saved go to print the document and print control box opens up on your screen.  In the bottom left hand corner you will see a button "Options".
Click on the "Options" button.  A menu will open.  On the left hand side the 2nd item should say "Display".  Click on "Display".  You will see 3 sections on the right hand side of the menu. The last section is titled Printing options. The 3rd option in the list should be "Print document properties".  There is probably a green tick in the box beside this.  Click on the green tick and the tick will disappear. Then click OK & click OK to print the document.
Hopefully only the document will print and you will not get an information page.
I hope that this helps.

  • Can't print "Information Sheet" to register with HP ePrint

    Hi,
I'm using HP LaserJet Pro 200 - M251nw.  Once I enabled HP ePrint, the menu showed that I should get an "Infromation sheet" from the system.  Unfortunately, I couldn't get it.  I tried to manually print the "Information sheet" from menu/web console but it's no luck.  No print out for "Information Sheet".
However, I could get eprint address from the system.  Once I tried to register in the system by using that eprint address, it showed "Invalid code".  If my understand is correct, it is because I couldn't get a confirmation in "Information Sheet".
    Any idea/experience on this?
    Thanks,

It looks like its ability to connect is intermittent. Did you call HP Cloud Services? Or did you call regular customer support?
If you have not already been advised to do so, I would power cycle the router and printer.
    To do that:
    1. Unplug the router (most do not have an on/off switch).
    2. Power down printer using power button on product.
    3. Wait 30 seconds.
    4. Turn router back on, wait for it to be completely up and functioning.
    5. Power printer back on, wait for start up process to complete, and reattempt to connect to web services.
If still not working, I would then set static DNS through the EWS
    1. Access the EWS as described in earlier post. look for the Tab labeled "Networking".
    2. Look in the column on the left hand side and click on IPv4 configuration
    3. On that page, look at the bottom section titled" DNS Address Configuration'
    4. Set the preferred to 8.8.8.8
    5. Set the alternative to 8.8.4.4 and click "Apply".
    6. Be careful to read any messages that pop up, it is usally an offer to undo chages that you just made.
    7. Power cycle printer using the power button on the printer. Once you have turned printer back on, and start process is complete, reattempt to
    connect to web services

  • Won't print information sheet for network printer

I have accessed my printer on two different computers wirelessly. I need a "printer code" for other devices, which apparently is printed on some "sheet"....which won't print. I get a message that "a web services information sheet will be printed...." but nothing ever comes out (but documents do so I know it works.)
How do I get this information sheet to actually print?

Thank you SO much for your quick response! I think it kept dropping the connection intermittently and screwed up the request to "enable" the network printing. (That was on the page where you enter the ip address in a webpage) so when I asked to print that info page, it just lost the request every time.
I did google around a little and reset the router and the printer by replugging in the printer. I also reset some automatic IP stuff  to manual setting (I am REALLY not familiar with this kind of thing...can you tell!? ha ha!!!)  Anyway, I followed the instructions for a different printer (with a similar connection issue) here on the hp site...the DNS thing seemed to make the difference:
    http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Printer-Networking-and-Wireless/HP-Photosmart-5510-Printer-Wireless-Net...
I hope other non-techies like me can follow those instructions too. That 8.8.8.8. and 8.8.4.4. stuff and the re-plugging in seemed to somehow make it work!

  • HP LaserJet 500 color MFP M570dn ePrint information sheet won't print

When I attempt to Enable Web Services Connect I receive a message that an information sheet will print that contains important information.  That information sheet doesn't print.  After selecting OK, there is another button on the right that says "Print Information Sheet."  Pushing that button also doesn't print an information sheet.  However, I can see that it changes the printer's ePrint email address.
When I go to: https://www.hpconnected.com/us/en/#devices/ to add a new device to my profile, I'm asked for a printer claim code.  When I paste in the part of the printer's newly issue email address before the "@" sign, I receive a message that there is an unexpected error. (HP technical support told me that this part of the email address was the claim code)
This is a new printer (it came yesterday).  How do I fix this?  I spent 1 hour and 45 minutes on the telephone with HP technical support and they were unable to fix it and couldn't really say what to do next.  They said maybe there was some sort of problem with HP's cloud service and that I should keep trying back.  I've tried back a number of times over 24+ hours with the same result.

Thank you for posting this information on our forum boards. At this moment in time, I do not have an answer to your question as to why you can't register your printer with the HP Connected cloud however, I have taken steps to investigate.
Please be patient and hang in there with me. If you can, could you please try and register your printer again in a few days and let me know the results. You may have to disable and enable web services to get a new printer code as the codes are only good for 24 hours.
Please know that I am activately pursuing this issue however it will take time to get to the root cause.

  • Unable to Print a Web Services Information Sheet to Obtain a Claim Code

I'm trying to add a HP LaserJet Pro 200 color MFP m276nw as an ePrint device.  I've successfully updated the printer firmware.  When I enable the web services the Print Information Sheet button appears, but nothing prints when I click it and I'm unable to obtain a claim code.

If you have successfully enable web services, you have a couple of options:
    1. use your IP address, input it into your web browser and browse to the embedded web page. Go to the web services tab and find the email address assigned to your printer. It should be something like [email protected] The printer code will be everything before the @ sign.
    2. Go to your control panel. Click on the web services icon (icon on the far left). Click on display email addres. Printer code will be everything before the @ sign.
    3. Print a configuration page. Tools icon - reports - config page. In the right column, locate HP Web Service (bottom right) - printer email address - printer code will be everything before the @ sign.
Use the xxxxxx before the @ sign for the printer code to register the printer at HP Connected.

  • HP LaserJet Professional P1102w won't print Web Services Information Sheet

    Hi there.
I've spent the last frustrating three hours trying to get the Web Services Information sheet to print on this printer. I need this sheet in order to register for ePrint.
I connect fine wirelessly on my computer to the printer. I have updated the firmware. Twice, to be sure.
I have gone to HP Web Services and clicked Enable
The message I then get is:
"A Web Services information sheet will be printed. Review the sheet for important information."
    However, nothing prints.
I have tried this process with the computer connected wirelessly through my network. I have tried it with the computer connected to the printer via USB. I have printed other things on the computer this way.
I have tried rebooting the network and the printer and then reconnecting
    I have tried these steps:
    http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/ePrint-Print-Apps-Mobile-Printing-and-ePrintCenter/eprint-printer-code-...
(I changed the preferred DNS from 10.0.1.11 and the alternate DNS from 8.8.4.4. to the values suggested)
Afterwards, there was no change. My printer continued to print in every way possible. However, it will not print the Web Services Information Sheet.
I'm very keen on getting my hands on this email so that I can register for ePrint. Can anybody help me? I would be hugely grateful.

Sorry to hear you were unable to setup the wireless again on the p1102w.
I have provided some steps in resetting up the p1102w on wireless network if you decide
to do it again in the future.
Reset the printer back to factory settings.
(turn printer off then hold down the x and the wireless button while turning on the printer until the lights start blinking then release the buttons.
Disconnect the usb cable from the printer.
Disconnect the routers power cable for 10 seconds and then reconnect it again.
Uninstall the p1102w from the computer.
(open cd  and select uninstall or go to uninstall a program from the control panel.)
Run the cd again or download depending what operating system you are running.
Connect the usb cable when prompted to setup the wireless again.
Enter passwords for the network when prompted.
Disconnect the usb cable when prompted.
Should be able to print out the test page now.
Then you should be able to get the web services information sheet to print but will need to print out a self test on the printer to get the new ip address for the printer.
If further issues you can contact HP technical support at 1-800-474-6836.

  • Printing Contact Sheets

    Hello
I am trying to print a 4.5 x 5.75 contact sheet of 8 images, which I have saved as a preset. I have printed this many times in the past but this time I am getting a error message (which appears in the print dialog box too quickly for me to read.)
Anyways it seems to be isolated to printing contact sheets. If I try to print a single image from Aperture there is no problem. I have tried rebuilding my Aperture library, tried rebooting, but don't know what else to try?
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks for the help.

    Miklos:
One poster pointed out that you could create a book using the Year Book theme. There you can select to have anywhere from 1 to 32 images per page and include the file names underneath the photos if desired. Then print the book to PDF and then print each page to hardcopy. Don't know if that will reduce your overall assembly time but you will be able to have the file names or titles printed also.
Another way is to create an html gallery, display in Safari and then print. Here's how:
    Creating Contact Sheet with Titles
1 - Put the files you want to print in an album and arrange in the order you'd like.
2 - Go to the File->Export->Web Page menu option.
3 - While in the Web page window, select the number of thumbnails you'd like across each page (iPhoto will keep you informed on how many pages it will take).
4 - Click on Show Title under thumbnails and click on Export. Then select the location where you'd like the resulting files to be saved (create a temporary folder to contain them).
5 - Once saved, go the folder and open the index.html file with your browser. You will get a page with your thumbnails and titles beneath them.
6 - Print that browser page and you've got your contact sheet with file names (or comments if desired).
If you want more control over the thumbnail gallery, try using BetterHTMLExport or Galerie
    Good luck.

  • The saved printer information is not compatible with this version of Photoshop

    Hello,
I hope somebody can help us. I am a IT Technician in a school, we have approx 500 Windows 7 64bit machines with about 600/700 users - 200 machines have the CS5.5 Master Collection installed on them. We have an intermittent issue with printing from Photoshop (both the 32bit and 64bit versions). Our printers are mostly HP LaserJet printers (all modern), but we have an Epson B-510DN Inkjet and some Xerox copiers too. The drivers are all installed on a central print server running Server 2008 R2 and shared via Group Policy to client machines.
In rooms where Photoshop is installed, intermittently when a student goes to print we will recieve the following error:
The saved printer information is not compatible with this version of Photoshop, or the saved printer is no longer available. You will need to check your printer settings before printing.
Photoshop will then grey out the 'Print' button and won't let the user print again. The odd thing is that we can still print from other software such as Microsoft Word or even non Microsoft software - even Illustrator will print. It just seems to be Photoshop thats has any issues.
This happens when printing to any printer on site, 90% of which are HP's. As a general rule we configure all of our HP printers with HP's PCL6 Universal Print Driver as it makes management of various printer models easy, and we haven't found it to limit us atall yet. We are aware the Adobe software is 'preferential' to Postscript drivers but our printers arn't, being HP's PCL is their native language. We have tried changing a printer to the Postscript UPD driver to test it but it made no improvement. We have also seen the issue quite indepth with our Epson B-510DN which is configured with Epson's latest model specific driver as our photography department use it. Since we are seeing it with different printers I don't believe the printer drivers are to blame - unless somebody want's to prove me wrong.
Like I say the problem is intermittent, and we are having trouble tracing it down to a user, computer or a software problem as it is so intermittent. Has anybody else seen this and managed to overcome it? Since it's only happening in Photoshop is it a bug that Adobe have recognosed and fixed in CS6? The only workaround we have found for it is to go into printers, chnage the defualt printer from one to another and back again - this seems to shut Photoshop up.
    Thanks, Dave.

    Chris,
Apologies for my slow reply - we have been busy here the past few weeks.
We are using a standard Microsoft provided JPG image (Tulips.jpg) so we have ruled out it being an issue with the image; perhaps if we were using a PSD, maybe so.
We have now found out what the issue is, and what the workaround for this bug is. All of our printers across our site are named in a specific format, usually [Location name] [Room number] [Mono or Colour] resulting in printer names such as Photography A11 Colour, Art A2B Colour and Design Technology A14 Colour. All of these names contain numbers. We have tried reimaging machines, reinstalling Photoshop, upgrading to CS6, deleting and reconfiguring printers with the same name. Finally the only solution that worked was to take the numbers out of the name, either by renaming or deleting and reconfiguring the printers. The Photography printer is an Epson B-510DN using a model specific driver and the other two use the HP PCL6 UPD driver, so I don't believe the drivers are to blame and since renaming the printers work I don't believe it's a configuration issue either. Remember that these printers are shared from a print server and deployed via Group Policy (using the Print Management method).
I hope this provides you Chris, and others searching Google, a useful explanation of the problem and what the fix is. As much as Adobe won't admit it's a problem/bug, I and many others across the internet believe that it is and that it should be fixed in future versions of Photoshop.
    Thanks, Dave.

  • Print information from a row - Report Builder 3.0 - printer button option?

Does Report Builder have any way of printing information from a row selection onto a page, rather than the whole report?  I don't think it has a print button option when you create the report?

    Hi KittyCat101,
According to your description, you want to select some particular rows when printing the report. Just as you said, there is no such feature in Reporting Services.
To work around this issue, we can create a parameter with the key field value in the report. Then we can print the particular rows based on the selection in the parameter. For more details, please see:
Create a multiple parameter named filter in the report.
Specify Available Values and Default Values from the dataset key field which is acted as filter when printing the report.
Add a filter as below in the tablix:
    Expression: [Key field]
    Operator: In
    Value: [@filter]
When we render the report in report builder, it displays all data. While we can select the particular rows in the drop-down list when we want to print the report.
If there are any other questions, please feel free to ask.
