Printing Non Modal External Window - print out additional blank page

Hi All,
I am printing out a content of a web dynpro view as a non modal external window with the browser print functionality.
Even if the content of the web dynpro view is not more than the half of a page the browser print functionality prints 2 pages. The second page is a blank page.
I tried to change the external window size in web dynpro, but it is still printing 2 pages.
How can I set / configure the browser print functionality, so it prints only the page that contains the web dynpro view content?

Hi,
I'm guessing the concurrent program is outputting text (character mode) as opposed to PDF?
This could be a number of reasons:
1. Printer driver issue, e.g. the number of lines printed on the page is more than is defined for the printer driver: Try reducing the "Rows" on the current program definition
2. Printer PRT issue, extra page break could be being inserted.
3. The "box" in the report definition containing the address could be being expanding due to the extra address line, but not enough space so it forces a new page to be printed.

How is it possible to set the position of an non modal external window?
I've tried it over
window.setWindowPosition(new WDCssSize(500,WDWindowUnitOfLength.PX),new WDCssSize(200, WDWindowUnitOfLength.PX));
and also over
window.setWindowPosition(500,200);
The result is always the same, the window is shown on the top left.

I tried the same. The code I tried is:
IWDWindow pop1=wdComponentAPI.getWindowManager().createNonModalExternalWindow("http://www.google.com","google");
     pop1.setWindowSize(512,600);
     pop1.setWindowPosition(50,100);
     pop1.show();
Its working fine for me. Even I tried changing the parameters for size and position. It worked fine.
Just 1 thing I noted in you post. You gave the code as:
window.setWindowSize(512;400);
although I think it should be
window.setWindowSize(512,400);
I do not know whether it was a typo or its in the application(it would have been syntax error in your application).
I am using IE 6.0. May be its something to do with the versioning.

How to avoid printing an additional blank page at the end of the report

I have a report which has 3 panels in the main section of the report, about 3 pages in size. 1st & 2nd panels are enclosed in a repeating frame, and 3rd panel in a different repeating frame.
The vertical panels per page in the property inspector of the main section of the report is kept as 2. And thus, when I am printing the report I am getting an additional blank page at the end. Also I tried to make the vertical panels per page to 1 in the property inspector for main section but the following error is being returned:
REP-0801: Layout canvas must remain large enough to fit all layout objects
Can anyone tell me how to handle this?

I too faced similar prob.
But when i made the After Page Value property of the report as blank it removed the blank page for me .
Try this and let me know whether it has helped you.

Printing from firefox spits out extra blank page

When I print from Firefox my printer firsts spits out a blank page before printing what was expected.

I have a similar issue -- a page before is printed and after the actual document.
yes -- the blank page appears in preview. I was able to get rid of the first one with this CSS:
@media print {
body * { float: none !important; }
But I still get the blank page afterwards.
Not sure why, but I'll let you know if I find anything else

I have the kindle app on my iPad. I downloaded a kindle version of a songbook. I would like to print out a few pages of the music. I cannot download the file to my computer and cannot print from the iPad as the page format does not allow it.

How can I print out a few pages of a kindle ebook (music) from my iPad.
How can I download this book to my iMac from the iPad. It is NOT in my e books library, but I can only access it from my kindle app.

One work around is, if the Kindle app allows, make a screen cap of the page and print that.
Hold down the sleep and home keys and relase them together....kinda like you'd press the shutter of a camera, a joint quick down and up
You'll see a white flash and hear a shutter sound. Then look in your photos app and you'll see the images. You can print them just like you'd print a photo.

Print Preview is OK, Printed Out as empty page

When i send a customized report for printing, at User Own Spool Requests, print preview, the report is display correclty,
but when i sent to printer, it is printed out as empty page. What could be the problem?

On that case there is a Problem with writing to spool.
try to call the CALL FUNCTION 'GET_PRINT_PARAMETERS' before displaying the Report.

By the way my printer is only 3 weeks old. I have cleaned the rollers, no paper jam...Started out of the blue. Welcome to the HP Community ,  I noticed your post about your Officejet 6100 now printing out blank pages after changing the ink cartridges, and wanted to reach out to you with my own suggestions. I would say to have a look at the guide below and try the troubleshooting steps to see if they can clear up the blank page printing concern. What version of iOS are you using? Some people were having this problem before, and it was fixed when they updated to iOS 5.

This can be the result of selecting the wrong driver. An older, unsupported laser printer will sometimes work with the generic Postscript driver.

Non-Model External window issues

I was trying to open non-model external window but application isn't opening the window, can any body tell me whats wrong with my code:

is correct.
Not sure that why it is not showing. check the action is being called.
try casting too

but this one not needed. just give a try.
in firefox, you can set enable popups to show popup windows

Why does my hp d7260 printer spit out a blank page each time one is printed?

Often the printer will print out the desired page and than a eject the next page (blank with no intention of printing on it). It will have a blank page between each multipage printing. It always does this on printing from my wife's computer and sometimes from mine. The printer is connected to our home network. I am using xp and my wife is using vista. I haven't kpet track of every incident from my computer but usually printing something from my browser. I run the paper through again so it is not a waste but just a pain.

This sounds like an issue that could result from having A4 sized paper but having the printer settings set for A size. Please check the paper settings.

I have HP paper.....taken paper out....moved the guides. Cannot print a test page from the panel....I have press the x it just cancels the selection.

3 new computers at work print incomplete or blank pages

we got 3 new computers at work with windows 7. The computers we already had have windows 7 also. We have a konica minolta fax, printer, scanner, copier that we print too. Everything the 3 computers print comes out fine, except when I log into citrix so I can log into Microsoft Outlook when I print an attachment from my email that is opened with Adobe Reader it prints incomplete and blank pages. Incomplete meaning that different parts of the document are missing. Now if I print an attachment that isn't adobe it prints fine. I have updated, reinstalled, went from 11 to 10(which is what everyone else had), made it print as an image. I called our IT department and they are not helping. Can someone help me? This makes my job so much more difficult seeing as I am in medical records and need to print documents that are sent to me.

The last 2/3 of my 430-page PDF file are blank. The pages are numbered at the correct position but there is no content visible. Just got a new computer with Microsoft Wndows 7 and a new Adobe Reader XI. This same document worked fine before I changed computers.

HP C5580 Printer feeds one blank page before actually printing

Good morning,
For the record I am using a Compaq Presario AMD Athlon(tm) 64 Processor 3300+, 2411MHz/1.93 GBs RAM, running Windows Xp Home, SP3., with IE8.
For the past few months I have been using a HP Photosmart C5580 All-In-One printer and I am more than satisfied with its performance.
However, the past few weeks I have noticed that when I print anything the printer will send out a 'blank' page before it actually starts printing my job.
This isn't the end of the world but I am curious (1) why this just started to happen in the last couple of days and (2) is there a setting I can change to stop this blank page from preceding all my print jobs?

Update: It appears my problem is solved. Somehow my paper wasn't lined up correctly. Once I took care of that the blank page no longer kicked out first.
