Printing w/ Scale Width & Height Setting?

With CS4 and CS5.
When I put in a percentage in the Height Box and then Print the InDesign document, InDesign remembers the percentage. But when I put a percentage in the Width Box InDesign does not remember the number, ie, if I put in 98.52% it reverts to 98% in the Width Box. The Height remembers all digits.
Thanks for any one's help

CSS documentation (http://docs.oracle.com/javafx/2.0/api/javafx/scene/doc-files/cssref.html) states:
"JavaFX CSS does not support CSS layout properties such as float, position, overflow, and width. However, the CSS padding and margins properties are supported on some JavaFX scene graph objects. All other aspects of layout are handled programmatically in JavaFX code."
I thought you might be able to do something using the -fx-shape property, but the shape does not affect the size of the button - so that didn't work.
I had more luck with the -fx-graphic property - you could try to enhance the stylesheet below to get what you want.
.root   { -fx-background-color: azure; -fx-padding: 20; }
#smurf-button { -fx-graphic: url("http://bluebuddies.com/smurf_fun/smurf_race/jpg/Smurf_Race_100x100.jpg"); -fx-background-color: transparent; }
#smurf-button:hover { -fx-effect: dropshadow( three-pass-box , rgba(184,134,11,0.6) , 20, 0.0 , 0 , 0 ); }
#smurf-button:armed { -fx-effect: innershadow( three-pass-box , rgba(0,200,0,0.6) , 30, 0.0 , 0 , 0 ); }

  • Help with Error: Jcarousel: No width/ height set for items....

    Hey everyone.  I have a user that is using a Tour and everytime he opens up a site like ESPN he receives the following error:  Jcarousel: No width/ height set for items. This will cause and infinite loop. Aborting…  I had him pull his battery but this did not work.  I have tried to search the forums and google, but I have yet to find anything concerning Blackberrys.  He is on V 4.7.140.  I'm not sure what the current version of the Tour software is, but I can definately try updating it to see if this solves the problems.  Before I do this though I wanted to see if anyone here had any ideas or has ran into the same problem.  Thanks for the help.

    What are you talking about? The width/height of what? Is this some sort of error message? If so from what?

  • Setting width/height of a control with CSS

    Hi,
    I am styling a button a button in CSS and set a background-image for the button in my stylesheet.
    The problem is, that the button should scale to the width/height of the image.
    I added:
    -fx-width: 32px;
    -fx-height: 32px;
    but it has no effect.
    I also tried it with
    -fx-min-width: 32px;
    -fx-min-height: 32px;
    If I use setMinWidth(32); in Java, it works.
    But I rather want to set it in my stylesheets, because the image can change, if we use another skin.

  • How to set width/height of iPad app in ipa file

    Hello,
    I am developing an app for iPad in Flash Builder 4 and Packager for Iphone.
    I set the width and height node values in the descriptor XML and compile the application. When I run the same in iPad, I am not able to see any effect on the app's width and height.
    Also, in default load, app opens in dimensions as per the iphone view and not specifically for iPad.
    Any help?

  • Strange Behaviour setting column width & height programmatically

    I'm trying to set the height and width of an image by storing the image, height and width in the database at the row level.
    OATableBean table = (OATableBean)webBean.findIndexedChildRecursive("QuoteLinesRN");
    OAImageBean lineImageBean = (OAImageBean)table.findIndexedChildRecursive("ImageItem");
    //Next 4 lines set the image file name from the data in Segment1 - they work as expected
    FixedBoundValue imageDirectory = new FixedBoundValue(APPS_MEDIA_DIRECTORY);
    OADataBoundValueViewObject statusBinding = new OADataBoundValueViewObject(lineImageBean, "Segment1");
    ConcatBoundValue statusCBV = new ConcatBoundValue(new BoundValue[] {imageDirectory, statusBinding});
    lineImageBean.setAttributeValue(SOURCE_ATTR, statusCBV);
    //Now here is the funny part -
    OAMessageStyledTextBean heightBean = (OAMessageStyledTextBean)webBean.findIndexedChildRecursive("Segment2");
    OAMessageStyledTextBean widthBean = (OAMessageStyledTextBean)webBean.findIndexedChildRecursive("Segment3");
    String height = (String)heightBean.getValue(pageContext);
    String width = (String)widthBean.getValue(pageContext);
    lineImageBean.setHeight(height);
    //Setting the width doesn't do anything if I set the height. And the image displays miraculously at the dimensions set in the actual physical file itself, for both height and width.
    //The values I have in the table to get the height and width are completely irrelevant.
    //Except I need to make a string out of the OAMessageStyleTextBean or the value for height and width will be as I specify ie. if I instead use: String height = "300" the height will be 300.
    //But why is the height and width not using the values I specify in the table as Segment2 and Segment3?
    //Is it because I'm not explicity setting the same index when creating the OAMessageStyledTextBeans as I used for my OAImageBean?

    I found some issues.

    If you're just doing it in a back and forth or spiral fashion, you don't need to check whether a square's been filled in. You just go from a start point to an end point. Those points and the squares in between are determined by simple arithmetic.
    If you're doing it randomly, I wouldn't use the GUI elements themselves. I'd have, for example, and array of booleans that tells whether each square has been filled in.

    Thank you so much for replying.
    Yes I have removed and reinstalled WMP.
    I had good results with the PD6 application installed on the default path onto the C: drive with the one exception that if the application was launched by accident and the user data path was not available, the PD6 application would blow away my custom user path registry settings. Now that I know what they are I have made a .reg file to repair my registry to my desired user data paths.
    Installing the application on the removable drive appeared to help prevent me from launching the application by accident and overwriting my registry with default user paths.
    So which is the less of the two evils?
    If the application directory is not available, windows media player still tries to launch the .msi for installing PD6.
    If I install the application to the C: drive but the user data to the removable drive, launching the PD6 application without the user data drive will still corrupt my registry settings for a user data path.
    Both these issues seem like a logical (if not easy) fix that should be done in the PD6 application and installation package. I mean really, cannot anyone tell me why windows media player is checking the PD6 application directory? Why in PD4 did we have an option control for setting the user data path from the PD4 application? Why is this option not in the PD6 application, just the installer?
    I am given a choice during installation to move the user data to another non default location. Why else would this be provided if not to accommodate my kind of request to store the user data into an alternate location other than “My Document”. Certainly Palm is not trying to force the users on how to protect and store their personal data?

  • Determine the type of connection & set webcam width/height

    Hi, two quick questions:
    1. Is there a way in ActionScript to determine what type of connection is being used (e.g. P2P or FMS)?
    2. Is there a way to set the width/height of the webcam picture? I currently extend the WebcamPublisher class to access the _camera instance and use the Camera.setMode() method, but it looks like that doesn't have any effect whatsoever.
    Thanks in advance,
    Michiel
    PS: I'm aware of the captureWidthHeightFactor method, but I really don't like that approach, as it's not really clear what dimensions are being used for the video. I would like to set the dimensions myself, like when using the Camera.setMode() method.

    Hironmay wrote:
    For you height/width part, you can use resolutionFactor API in webcamPublisher as captureWidthHeight API is deprecated. The default width and height gets multiplied.
    Ok, I'm using resolutionFactor now, but I'm not sure what the difference is. captureWidthHeightFactor is not really documented (it's there, but pretty unexplained), but the resolutionFactor uses multiples of the default width/height. I assume it does the exact same thing? (By the way: the resolutionFactor is not documenten on livedocs, only in the local documentation received as part of the zipped SDK.)
    And still if you want to set your own native width/height , since you are already subclassing WebcamPublisher, just subclass the function createMyStream and add your native width and height. See that function in the player 9 source code of WebcamPublisher provided.
    I'll look into that, for now resolutionFactor will have to do. (For testing purposes all video parameters have to be adjustable on the fly, and I unfortunately am already very short on time.)
    One thing I forgot to mention in last mail, you can only have P2P with player 10 and you need to use player 10 swc for any verification of P2P. Player 9 will be always FMS.
    You may have just saved my life! I was indeed using the player 9 swc, and tried the isP2P property, but didn't get it to work. And since it's not documented I labeled this as "deprecated" and dropped it. Great to see that it really is in there.
    Also, the difference between the player 9 and player 10 swc you just explained answers another question I had (but totally forgot about). When connecting, the console always showed:
    #FMSConnector# Wed Jan 6 10:52:11 GMT+0100 2010 is using RTMPS? true
    This gave me the idea that the P2P service was unavailable. I'm glad to see that this isn't the case.
    Thanks for your rapid replies everyone, I really appreciate it!

    Hello Lynn,
    Is your network router located near your desktop PC and L7590 officejet?
    If so, I would suggest that you connect the L7590 to the router with an ethernet cable(you can also leave your usb cable connected to the desktop). Then you can connect more directly (still through the network) to the L7590 with your dv7 laptop instead of connecting through the desktop.  Since your dv7 is wirelessly connected to the router, and the L7590 is also connected (wired) to the same router, the setup is much easier.
    If you want to try this, first download the software from hp.com (click here for the download page).  When you run the installation on your dv7 notebook you will be guided through the steps necessary for connecting to the printer via the network.

  • How to export layer width, height, and position to a text document?

    I am working on an automated workflow for which I need to know the exact width, height, and position in pixels of certain layers in a PSD.
    I am pretty sure this is possible with applescript but does anyone know of a way to have this info included automatically in the documents metadata?
    thanks,
    ryan

    Hi Gabriele - how did you add the subs to FCP? if you added them using the text tools built in then you need to try to extract those first. Neither FCP or DVDSP are good places to create subtitles, but apps like STL Edit and Belle Nuit are. These will both create subs that can be imported into DVDSP. You can also use a text file to import the subs as long as the text file is set up correctly. The precise format is listed in the manual for DVDSP and a tool like BBEdit is ideal if you want to do the subs this way. Some folk even use Excel to set up the timecodes, etc, but personally I find that too distracting, preferring to work with STL Edit when I need to add subs.
    One thing is almost universally agreed upon in here - create the subs outside of DVDSP and import them in, since if you need to move, alter or otherwise change them it is a lot easier from within a text file than from within DVDSP.

  • Width/height/x/y value mismatch with the reality and what is coded

    hello there everyone,
    hope i got the title right..,
    so here goes the problem i need your opinion and help to solve:
    application definition:
    i have this desktop flash application that will go fullscreen what this application do is loading external asset (mostlySWF) and play it inside this application. Each external asset will be place inside a container/holder (empty movie clip created by code), each of this container have it's own dimension ( width, height, x, y).my code all working without any warning nor error.oh and i also have an image.jpg/png as it's background and place at the bottom of display list (depth = 0), the image is customly made with using photoshop and each container location and dimension also measured there so it just needed to be writen down is the XML file..,
    the problem:
    the bug is when i loaded some image of those background image each container width,height,x,y  will mismatch with what i have in the XML file.
    the funny thing is when i trace the value of each container width,height,x,y it value is the same with what the XML has yet by seeing with eye you know that is wrong..,

    i really do not have any idea why this could happen and how to solve it..,
    any help would be greatly apprecited cause i'm literally meeting a dead end with this bug..,

    hello there kglad,
    thanks for responding in this thread..,
    i did what you told me :
    i did check all of my loader instance till myLoader.parent.parent.parent and it return 1 for every single one of them
    but by removiing the "this.stage.displayState = StageDisplayState.FULL_SCREEN;"
    i do get new error which is:
    TypeError: Error #1009: Cannot access a property or method of a null object reference.
        at slideshow_fla::MainTimeline/doAspectRatio()
    well from what it tokd me it came from my slideshow swf..,(this swf also fully code and has nothing placed on stage by manually)
    the thing is in my mine swf code i never refer to what external asset property, i just told to load it and when the load is complete i put it in the display list..,
    from googling i suspect that it played to early beacause i put the script in the first frame of the timeline of slideshow.swf
    and for the moment i'm trying to find what error do cause it..,
    (but why this didn't happen all the time??)
    here is the slideshow code:

    and by the way can you tell me the reason you told me to remove "this.stage.displayState = StageDisplayState.FULL_SCREEN;" line ??

  • Fit Table width/height to Margin

    It would be a great handy feature if the table width could be fitted to the margin of the page.
    Moreover 'tables' need some more extra features like : distribute rows/column evenly to fit table width/height. At present this feature extends the table width/height when applied. Once I fix the width and height of the table, distribute rows/column must fit to that width/height only. The table should only extend when I add rows or column.
