Problem dreamweaver to insert swf flash movie cs6

when i isert in dreamweaver a movie created in flash cs6, i push the bottom of play for preview only show a white frame, the action no have. somebody have the solution plese share. Thanks

I don't see anything obvious in the code, unless there is an issue with the paths. For example, the following path is not likely to be correct:
../../../web140/sitedesigns/bradley/assets/audio/test.swf
But it is impossible to know for certain without seeing the page in its normal location. If you upload the files, including the dependent files, to a Web server we would be in a better position to help you.

Problems with fullScreenSourceRect in nested Flash movie

I've got a Flash movie I'm updating to add the fullscreen
property to my clients' videos. Problem is I've added all the
necessary ActionScript and HTML code as Labs suggests and the
fullscreen property does work but not exactly. The video FLV
Playback component is nested inside of another .swf movie via an
empty movie clip on the stage. And that MC is not at 0,0. Problem
is when I go fullscreen even though I get the right width and
heights of the rectangle from the fullScreenSourceRect property.
The X and Y are out of wack and not in the right place. So is there
a way I can change the following property so it knows where X and Y
really are instead of 0,0?

How to import a .swf flash movie

I am trying to put this .swf flash file in keynote but it wont go in. I drag it in and a picture of a piece of film shows up...its not recognizing the format.
What and how can i convert this .swf flash file to be compatible with keynote.

It's simple, I've developed an animation with Catalyst (took me 2 days...to learn a move forward) and i would like to use that animation inside a flash website. so i'm trying to load the Catalyst swf file animation inside my flash main movie without success !
I"m tryin to do : loadMovie("catalyst_animation.swf", TargetA); TargetA is an empty movie clip located a certain position.
the loadMovie("catalyst_animation.swf", 0); is working but this is not what i want for a clear reason (loading inside and at a certain position).

Inserting a Flash Movie with Dreamweaver

I'm trying to insert a .swf file into my html using
Dreamweaver8. I go to inset-media-flash video, browse to my file
enter the width and height and click ok, and I receive this warning
everytime: "The URL cannot contain spaces or specal charaters.
Change hte path or file name and try again." The file is located in
my main directory of the website, and the file is titled
clienttv.swf. Am I doing something wrong?
Also, This file is a television commercial buit in avid and
compressed in squeeze, but I don't have the .flv file, only a .swf
file.
Is there a way to convert my .swf to .flv, or is there a way
to add a skin to my .swf file so that I have the movie controls
(play/pause, stop)?

Dreamweaver CS4 & inserting SWF

I read the other threads covering this before posting... The advise worked to some degree but I am still having issues.
1. Open html file from my server
2. Go to Insert/Media/SWF or Flashpaper or Shockwave - the result is the same no matter what
3. The result is the same & it works!! In Dreamweaver anyway....

A box is visible but the show never quite starts.
Then if I close everything, delete all temps, etc. & reopen Dreamweaver to pull the file from the server, I get "This page contains some SWF objects that may not work properly in the most recent versions of Internet Explorer. Dreamweaver cannot convert them into the new SWF markups. Please delete each of them and insert again."
And I begin again.... Any insight would be hugely appreciated!!

Got it.... Just deleted every existing file and started from scratch. All I can think of is that it must have been remembering "old" info.

Dreamweaver preview and flash movie

Greetings All,
Im sure this question has been answeredmany times but i cant seem to find any solutions. Here it is:
- In dreamweaver I add an .flv file to play on my web page.
- When previewing from dreamweaver into Firefox or Safari the movie shows up and plays just fine
- The entire site is uploaded to my FTP ( hosted by godaddy ) and when I check the page the movie is gone. If I right click on the are where the movie is supposed to be, it says "movie not loaded"
I have tried almost everything I can think of. This site is for a client and I could really use any help. here is the link to the page. If someone out there can help and needs more than the link supplied, please let me know.

Is that code something which i missed in dreamweaver. i added a flash movie and did everything that was asked in the pop up. this is above my ability and i am trying to help out a friend. if its not an easy fix, would you be willing to fix it for a fee? please let me know as his boss is applying pressure to get it up and functioning properly.

Editable regions and Flash movie

Hi,
I am trying to insert a flash movie into an editable region
of a child page, but I keep getting the following error: "Making
this change would require changing code that is locked by a
template or translator. The change will be discarded."
I have read previous posts about the same issue, but none of
them answers my question. I tried creating a new template and a
child from it as a test deleting the css links (like some one
suggested to do) to try to identify the troubled css and I kept
getting the same error in the new pages. I hope someone can help to
identify the issue and the solution. The region where I want to
insert the movie is called "FinalMainContent."
BTW, I do not know how to write code... Sorry!

Insert swf file CS3

I really don't know why I cannot insert a Flash movie using
Dreamweaver CS3 and have the movie display in all browsers. Why is
the code not correct? I am attaching the code that is inserted by
Dreamweaver.
I also have simple javascript attaching the file:
AC_RunActiveContent.js
I searched for answers in this forum for this and have not
found one that has worked for me.
Can someone help me with this? Am I overlooking something
very basic here? It seems to me this should be just a simple insert
here command to Dreamweaver...

Flash movie is repeating in safari browser

Have inserted a flash movie into a web page using dreamweaver. Have exported the flash movie out as window mode = transparent.
have made the <param name="wmode" value="transparent" /> tags. Works ok on most browsers except Safari. It seems to repeat the movie vertically (well just a few pixels of it. Is there any way to constrict the Flash object tag so it does not repeat vertically in Safari?

I use a plugin to insert swf files on my Wordpress Blog called WP-SWFObject.
You can download it from the Wordpress.org website, is quite easy to find, I enjoyed the ease of use of this plugin that much that I wrote an article and put a link on my Wordpress Blog to help people find a good solution to embedding flash files in WP posts.

Looping flash movie

I have created a flash website... on the first page i want to
enter a simple motion tween movie( i imported it)... i can do that
but it keeps looping... i unchecked Loop in html and added stop();
in the last keyframe but still the movie loops any ideas how to
stop this??? I am using flash 8
ps im inserting a flash movie within a flash movie(this
should not make a diference)
here is what i have found.... i am trying to replace an image
in a flash website with a movie... it continuously loops it appears
you need to add the Stop(); asctionscript wilthin the website and
not the move (.swf) imported.... thats where the problem lies is it
not possible to add Stop(); in the movie itself???? I have tried
this and it does not work???

If the offending loop is from the main timeline of the
imported swf and on the last keyframe of that timeline you entered
a stop(); and that didn't help maybe you should call an exorcist.
Or maybe there is another timeline in the imported swf that's
looping like a MovieClip?

Flash Movie In Template Will Not Play

I built a site using Dreamweaver 8 that is based upon a
template. I made several changes to the template, and each was
incorporated into all of the pages created from the template.
However, when I inserted a Flash movie into the template it will
not play on any of the pages. I double-checked to see if "autoplay"
was selected, and it was. I played the movie from the template in
design view and it looked fine. I made a new page and inserted the
movie into the page, bypassing the template, and it played. Does
anyone have any tips that might help me to get the movie that is
inserted in the template to play throughout the site?

How can HTML call a Flash movie?

Greetings Everyone!
I'm sincerely hoping that someone has the answer for me. I'm
a newbie, but trying so very hard to understand... :) I've read
books, pages & pages of this forum, 'net searches - I haven't
found a complete answer to my challenge so far - thanks in advance

Here's where things are:
1) I've created a series of swf Flash movies that loop (at a
particular size so they can play inside of an html table cell)
2) I've created html buttons in another cell
What I'm trying to do:
1) Like a swap file in HTML (where you click a button and an
image changes elsewhere on the page, click another button, and that
image swaps to a different image file)
I want to have a flash movie play on a click of a button, click
another button, and a different flash movie plays in the same
spot.
The challenge is the interaction between Dreamweaver and
Flash and getting HTML to talk to Flash.
Here's the code direction I've been heading ...

I have a onMouseClick event for each button link. In this
code I set some variable names inside it.

1. I need to create one variable which will act as a variable
receiver from HTML. (What I called "myMovie")
2. I gather I need to create an IF statement so that
"myMovie" is set to which "activeMovie" ( it could be
activeMovie1/activeMovie2/activeMovie3 etc ) ,
----->Question:
Where should the IF statement be and
How should it be written?
Admittedly I don't know Action Script 3 very well.
if myMovie is equal to "activeMovie1"
then load a movie. (This movie will be a movie related to my
1 Button.)
else if myMovie is equal to "activeMovie2"
then load a movie. ((This movie will be a movie related to
your 2 Button.)
else if myMovie is equal to "activeMovie3"
then load a movie. ((This movie will be a movie related to
your 3 Button.)
Here's where I'm stuck....
1) If I've already made my movies into swf files where does
an IF statement go?
2) I'm missing the mechanics of how to connect the dots here
- how do I get button 1 to load movie 1 and start playing
automatically? When I click button 2, movie 1 is replaced by movie
2 and starts playing automatically.
It's a detailed explanation (I know) - I'm hoping someone has
an answer for me that's equally explicit. Thanks so much much for
taking the time to read it!!

Centering a Flash Movie

Here's my problem:
I've created a Flash movie I've saved on a CD as a .exe
projector file. The .exe file will automatically open once the CD
is placed in the computer's CD drive. When the movie is opened, I
want it to play in the center of the computer monitor. Thus far
I've not been able to figure out how to configure Flash so the
centering on the monitor will occur. I know in Director, you have
an option you can choose to make the centering occur. Is there a
way in Flash to have the centering take place. Even if it means
performing some Actionscripting.
An additional Note: I know I could use an FS Command to make
it so the movie will place full scrren no matter the scrren monitor
size. But since my Flash movie contains Bitmapped images whose
resolution quality depends on having a stable monitor size, I can't
use the FS Command because my bitmapped images get distorted.
Any help in this matter will be appreciated.

Flash Movie Shows only on Ftp

Hi, I'm new here and new to flash. Anyway, here's my problem:
For some reason the flash movies I make only show up on our ftp (ex ftp.myname.com/flash.swf) and not on the http url. I spoke with our web hosting company and the customer service rep said what I was experiencing was 'due to the coding on the index page of your web site.' First off, I have no idea what that means and how that would possibly affect a separate page. If he is right then I have no idea how to fix it.
Can someone help me out?

That sounds like a BS answer that your webhost customer service guy gave you.
There should be nothing that you can do, as a customer, to affect the server in such a way as to have the effect you are experiencing. And, if possible, you would not have been able to do it without knowing.
It sounds like there is a setting set up incorrectly on the server (in IIS, or the parameters of the server type if it is a linux box). They should have it set up so that the FTP site displays the same thing that is on the HTTP site.
Call them back and raise a stink. Ask for clarification when they give you solutions that you don't understand, and ask them to escalate it if they can't give you more clarification. (ask to talk to their manager, and so on and so forth)
