Problem in filter data in alv

I Generate a ALV report . Now I am Selecting one column of the report and setting filter condition , the report is getting filtered . but the problem is when i select another column along with previous selected column , Filter Condition is getting correct .

Hi,
Your fields catalogues are ok. Check your function module. Call it again and assign parameters. It has to work with more than one field filter also.

hi,
there are some specific restrictions in downloading data in alv.
i.e you cannot have morethan 1024 characters that can be downloaded in single row.
so change your report columns accordingly.

Problem in exporting data from alv output to excel

Hi,
I had developed a report which has ALV report output.It is working fine and i am facing problem that when i am exporting it to the data to excel,it is not displaying the whole data in it. I am using reuse_alv_grid_display function module.

It is highly likely that the way you have built your field catalog is causing some data to drop on the export to excel. I have had this problem before. Check the fields in your fieldcat that are not working vs the ones that are working.

A problem about filter data in RPD by Roles

Dear All,
I face a serious problem.
How I set the filter in RPD if there are several member I dont want to receive in different Generation?
Assume I want receive A, B in Gen4, Accounts. C in Gen5, Accounts. And D, E, D in Gen6, Accounts?
I tried to set it up in a few way, but the result didnt come out right. Some Gen4, Accounts should show but it didnt.

Problem in displaying data in alv grid.

Hi Experts,
I am using the class CL_GUI_ALV_GRID for displaying my data in the ALV Grid.
But I have a requirement
If there are more than one record with the same values in some fields I have to display the values in the first record itself . for other records I have to display the record with the fields having different values of the previous record.
And another requirement is When the user use the scroll bar regarding the same datas, the first record displayed will contain the datas used.
How can we achieve this functionality?

Problem in displaying data using ALV interactive using OOPS

Hi friends,
I have created one interactive report using oops..
on my selection screen i have a select-option TABNAME for DD02L table with no intervals option.
ie : i enter table names in that field..
for example i enter VBAP
                               MARA,
                               MARC.       etc
when i execute i get a basic list which gives some details about the tables.
now on my basic list when i double click on any row then ie : say if i click on 2nd row , in the back ground based on the index on which i have click iam reading that particular row from the table and from that using the table name iam displaying the all the fields of the table in the ist secondary list....
Till now its working fine but once when i go back to the back to the basic list and when i click another row... here even if click another row its displaying the same fields of the table which was ist click.
ie : say ist time i have clicked mara then later vbap.....But its displaying me the mara details instead it should display vbap details...
I have used refresh_table_display method also.... But its not working fine...
How can i correct it...

I can only guess that you call the second screen (perhaps '0200') within the event handler method for event DOUBLE_CLICK. This is not really a good idea. Instead use a simple trick to overcome this refreshing problem:
METHOD handle_double_click.
" Save the row perhaps in a static attribute of your event handler method, e.g.
. lcl_eventhandler=>ms_row = e_row. " ms_row defined as static attribute of event handler class
" Trigger PAI with a defined ok-code:
CALL METHOD cl_gui_cfw=>set_new_ok_code
    EXPORTING
     ok_code = 'DETAIL_LIST'.
ENDMETHOD.
This method call triggers PAI of your screen which otherwise does not occur after an event has been raised.
MODULE user_command_0100 PAI.

    WHEN 'DETAIL_LIST'.
       perform DISPLAY_DETAIL_LIST. " and call screen '0200'
    WHEN OTHERS.
ENDCASE.

The next time you make a double click a new row/index is filled into the static attribute. By triggering PAI (followed by PBO) you ensure a flushing (= refreshing) before the secondary list is displayed.

ALV: Filter Dates

Hello,
I use ALV report. I have a column type DATE.
I use edit_mask to PDATE in the field catalog.
The problem is that in the ALV report when I filter this column it sometimes gives an error the 'Date is invalid' and it doesn't filter.
Does any one know how to solve this ?

Instead of using MASK_EDIT try to set the required conversion exit (field CONVEXIT). In your case I would expect that no conversion exit at all is required.
In the following sample report set parameter P_CONVEX = 'SDATE', 'IDATE' or space (gives different results on our ECC 5.0 system). Please note that parameter I_BYPASSING_BUFFER = 'X' (function module LVC_FIELDCATALOG_MERGE) otherwise you would not see any difference when changing the parameter value.

Facing a Problem while downloading the data from ALV Grid to Excel Sheet

Iam facing a problem while downloading the data from ALV Grid to excel sheet. This is working fine in Development server , when comes to Quality and Production servers I have this trouble.
   I have nearly 11 fields in ALV Grid and out of which one is PO number of length 10 , all the ten numbers are visible in the excel sheet if we download it from development server but when we download it from Quality or Production it is showing only 9 numbers.
Can any one help me out in this case.

if this problems happens dont display the same internal as u finally got.
just create new internal table without calling any standard data elements and domains... but the new internal table s similar like ur final internal table and move all the values to new int table.
for eg.
ur final internal int table for disp,
     data : begin of itab occur 0,
                    matnr like mara-matnr,
               end of itab.
create new like this,
           data : begin of itab occur 0,
                    matnr(12) type N,
               end of itab.

Saving Data from ALV.

hi all.
I have an issue regarding saving data from alv to data base table.
The problem is like this. I have an internal table consist of 10 column from three diferent tables.one primary key is there.
now i have displayed it in alv grid. there is a column of quantity. i made some changes in quantity of some rows. now i want to save it into the database table from which that quantity field fetched.
i used first check_changed_data method. if the flag is set it means data is changed.
wat shud i do to save that quantity column into data base.

Hi,
To modify database or ztable from the ALV grid,you need to do the following:
---You have to modify the field Catalog fields (fields that you want to make editable).Set the field EDIT as 'X'.For example if you want to make the field below editable:
ls_fcat-fieldname = 'CARRID'.
ls_fcat-edit = 'X'.
APPEND ls_fcat TO pt_fieldcat.
---Call the method below before you call the set_table_for_first_display.
CALL METHOD ALV_GRID_INSTANCE->set_ready_for_input
EXPORTING
i_ready_for_input = 0. ( For Display ) and ('1' for Edit )
After this put the set_table_for_first_display.
Now if the ALV data has changed,and you want to change the database or ztable,then in your pf status give a function code for SAVE button in the GUI.
In the PAI of the screen,in user command module write the following:
WHEN 'SAVE'.
call method gr_alvgrid->check_changed_data
importing e_valid = l_valid.
if l_valid = 'X'.
MODIFY spfli FROM TABLE itab_spfli.
endif.
(l_valid is a flag.
DATA:l_valid type c.
If you want to check if the user has entered any value on the grid, use the Method : CALL METHOD gr_alvgrid->check_changed_data.
This method returns a flag l_valid which can be checked to see if the data on the ALV grid has been changed or not.)

While I am exporting data from ALV report to any other Format (Excel, Txt, HTML) it only export the data of last column, but the heading is comming properly and also the column heading is displaying properly.
So how to rectify it. (the report is Object Oriented).

Filter criteria in ALV report not working

Hi,
In ALV report , when i click on filter button , it does not filter the report according to the filtered criteria. this happens in the cases where the selection criteria is a lengthy field. when i debug after the filter criteria it goes into standard function.
i am using REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY
is there any way in which i can correct this?

Problem with Filtering Data by Using "Greater Than" in APD

Dear Experts,
First of all, I am a novice of SAP Data Mining. I try to filter data in APD by using the 'Restrict Amont of Data (the Filter Icon).' My problem is really simple. I don't know how to filter data which have value greater than a constant.
For example, I try to keep only records which have a quantity greater than 1000.
At the selection option in the single value tab, I found only the '=' option. The options like '>', '<', '>=', etc are not found. Could anyone suggest me please?

Having already gone through the note you gave me, in fact, it is really pertinent. Unfortunately, our support package is now 13, and it is extremely difficult to retest our system if we decide to apply the support package 16.
Are there any other solution?

When trying to use the date format configured on the Entity Object, with Format Type as Simple Date and Format as "dd-MM-yyyy", there seems to be a problem when using task-flows.
The approach involves an explicitly configured attributeValues binding to use in f:validator and af:convertDateTime components in the af:inputDate in the filter facet, as discussed in the forum thread "af:table filter date format"

First a short summary of relevant aspects of service request 3-2190488381:
- development has reviewed bug 10193260
- development identified some code where a pattern was not applied and started fixing the problem
- out of the blue, development asked "Will clearing out the filter field completely when moving out of ataskflow be an acceptable behavior ?"
- I pointed out some concerns (even in a phone call with development), but development did not see any alternative not "perceived to be very risky because of the current design", so the question whether the clearing-all-filter-fields approach would be acceptable became superfluous.
- following this, bug 10193260 suddenly became an enhancement request (for reasons I still don't understand)
- a workaround was suggested (for behaviour not perceived as a bug), "Clearing the search fields during taskflow exit in the backing bean (in the app)." for which I also received a modified version of my example application TableFilterDateFormatIssueApp-v0.04.zip with an implementation of the suggested workaround
As an exercise to try an understand the suggested workaround (an because my example application seemed to have been modified using the currently yet-to-be-released JDeveloper 11.1.1.4.0) I re-implemented it in the example application

It looks like a more general/generic approach is desirable for the suggested workaround to be feasible.
- (q5) Does the suggested workaround imply (as bug 10193260 is not a bug) that all bounded task-flows with filtered tables should implement it to avoid errors about formatting?
