Problem in populating the delivery text in Idoc

Hi Experts,
       We are using a custom EDI output type for VT02n transaction. Currently we are encountering a problem when we set the dispatch time as 'Send immediately'.
       The problem is some of the characters in delivery texts are missing in the segment of the idoc generated.
       The problem does not occur when we set the dispatch time as 'send with application own transaction'.
       But we did not do any coding based on the dispatch time.
       Please provide us suggestions to solve this problem.

Check whether you have maintained the condition records for output for the above combination & also the Print device in the Communication tab & Print immediately settings.
If you haven't maintained the above, do the same & check.

Problem in populating PO item text using FM:SAVE_TEXT

Hi All,
I am having an issue with SAVE_TEXT FM,
I need to populate the item text field:
This FM works fine if the Item text field is blank and i am populating it with text, say "This is a test case",
How ever if the text field is already populated say the item text field has "Testing", my requirement is i will append the new text to the previously existing, in this case it should come as "Testing This is a test case",
For doing this i am reading the existing text using READ_TEXT FM and concatenating both the texts separated by space, and passing this to i_lines, how ever the O/P which i get in the text field is "Testing".
Please advice.

once u use the save_text also
with save_text u are updating the STXH table .
there is one field in stxh table which is once updated shows the text in the sceen.
or u can run a bdc put the default text where u want to put and afterwards when u use create_text and commit_text,u ll be able to see the text in the screen.

Problem with formatting the saved text to hard disk

I use a modified code from Macromedia for saving the content of a text filed on hard disk. See code at the end.
The code works fine and a text file is saved in the given location on the hard disk.
The problem is that all of the content of the text field appears in a very long single line.
The line breaks in the text field does not appear at all in the saved text file.
for example:
if the following is the the content of the text filed on the stage:
abcdef
jhijklm
nopqrst
uvxwyz
then the saved file is like: abcdefjhijklmnopqrstuvxwyz
No line break happens! How can this be fixed?

You need to replace the carriage returns (that aren't followed by a line feed) with the CRLF combination. Feel free to place the following JavaScript handler into a movie script and call it prior to writing your string to disk:

Problem in loading the long text in bdc.

              I am uploading the material master using bdc, Here i need to upload the long text field. so am using the separate report for upload the long text field using the create_text function module. but the problem is the long text field only accepting 132 charactors. but i need to upload the 500 charactors. what i want to do now ?

Hi Sathis,
What u do is that while recording the text part in bdc , click on the first delete button, and then create button and after that double click on the editor or click on the text-editor change button, a window will get opened , then click go-to menu -> change editor.
there u can use loop the text table and wirte it according .

Problem in assign the delivery type to the existing output type

Hi
There is a problem in assinging the existing Output type to the delivery type.
In, NACE i have maintained the output type for the procedure and also through VV21 i have created the condition type with the combination of shipping point/delivery type.
But system automatically not determining the output type when we create the outbound delivery. This output type is to trigger the EDI in terns..
Can any one guide me what are the setting to be done for the same?

Problem in reading the modified text from text editor

Hi all,
Im using text editor for saving the long text entered in the text editor as standard text in So10 tcode.
Here im facing an issue in reading the text from text editor. That is, when the text is entered by the user for first time, then the below method reads the text successfully.   But when i do some changes in the existing text present in the text editor and try to read, then the modified text is not returned by the below method.
I use the "CALL METHOD g_editor_ftext1->get_text_as_stream" to read the text. Given below is my code.

Problem with retrieve the chinese text from oracle DB

my running enviroment is
Linux 6.0+ apache Jserv+java 1.1+oracle 8.05
my db character set is zhs16cgb231280.
when i retrieve the chinese text using servlet and forward to client browser. it doesnt display the text property.but if i transfer the data to an Applet. it will be ok.
my knowledge is oracle using unicode to communicate between db and JDBC.
So i dont know how to solve my problme.

What's the charset of your database? Mine is AMERICAN_AMERICA.UTF8
In this case, I could successfully insert and retrieve the Chinese characters without any encoding parameter in the getString() method. Perhaps you could try it.

Populating the long text in equipment

How do we propose to populate the long txt in equipment? Is LSMW viable option, or would this be more complicated than it

Long text always create problem either in functional location and equipements.So it becomes difficult in LSMW .the problem you will face is while recording in lsmw either you will get word document when you open long text and in main upload it will be in a format where only 72 characters per line is possible.
so it is better always if long text is involved to use BDC ..life becomes easy through BDC.

Problem in populating the new field from the extract structure. Kindly help

my requirement a new text field is added on R/3 side and I have to populate
the same field into BW.
In the R/3 a new customization table 'AAA' is created which will have
code - char 3 and
text - char 30.
The code field is added to a table BBB.
The SAP standard generic data source exracts data from the table BBB where in the new code field have been added.
Now I can the see the code field in the extract structure and not in the data source as the filed has selection value 'A' when checked in the ROOSFIELD table.
To populate the value in BW, I will be creating a Generic Master Data text wherein I fetch the values from the table 'AAA' which the fields code and text and replicate the same in BW.
In the reporting level, the code InfoObject will be selected as display both KEY and TeXT, by doing I can populate the values of TEXT in the reporting.
But to achieve the same I need to add the field code in the ODS but cannot do the same because I am not able to see the field code in the data source.
Kindly let me know how to achieve the same.
Also let me know if there is any alternate solution to populate the text field in BW.

i have created tables (non BO Tables) directly on the SQL-server and want to use recordset to populate a user form matrix.
Is there any workaround to achieve this using non BO tables?
Please provide some sample code since it is a very urgent matter.

Populating the SEGMENT attribute for IDocs

When mapping to an IDoc, each IDoc data element has a corresponding SEGMENT attribute, which I assume is the sequential segment number of the segment in the IDoc.
Does that value need to be set, or does the IDoc adapter take care of it? If I do need to map it, how can I do it, because I would need to find a way of generating a running number either in the mapper, or externally in an XSL mapping file.

Update delivery document from IDOC

Hi Friends,
As i am new to EDI, I need your help for the below requirement.
The requirement demands
There are 3 existing IDoc fields when filled in the values need to overwrite the fields on the delivery header.But these values in the IDoc are currently not automatically copied in the delivery header. So i need your help to solve this problem.
And also i have one more requirement like there is a serial number used. This will be put in idoc segment E1EDL24/E1EDL11 field SERNR. When updating the delivery (VL02N) this serial number has to be filled in the delivery.
I need help in solving the above 2 issues.

1 .you want to update the delivery document .
2. .you want to update the delivery document by Idoc only..
If not by Idoc then you can do it easily by making a File to RFC scenario where in RFC incorpoarate BDC Call transaction logic and update the Delivry doc..

Hmmm, you wrote that the output is 'table parameter' but you mention 2 single fields. If you expect a good reply here, it helps to mention how you defined the table and how you select the data for the output. For example: input is matnr and you select the material group of this matnr. Output is all other matnr of this material group. Then we would know what you want to do here.
So please describe what you need and give us the table description.

Not able to create the delivery document in '000' client of IDES

Dear Experts,
I am facing a problem while creating an sd process flow in the client '000' of SAP IDES system. I am working over SD CIN. Previously I received an error while generating sales order. The error was stating that certain entries were missing in the table CRMPAROLTP & it was the error message number V3, 302.
For that I went to SM30 & defined 'CRM_RELEASE' (under parameter name) & '600' (under parameter value), which solved my problem. Now I received another problem while creating the delivery document which is as follows:
Problem : "Message no. B2 001 : Local logical system is not defined"
Kindly assist me in sorting out this problem. I checked the stock level at MMBE, but the stock was not reduced with the quantity as was specified under the delivery document & at the same time the document number was also not available for further processing.
What to do?

Question: Where can I set that the texts in the billing document are determined from the corresponding delivery document (and not from the order)??
Answer: In the IMG under "Sales and Distribution -> Billing -> Billing Documents -> Define Billing types" you can set the "Delivery text" indicator for the corresponding billing type. With the corresponding Customizing (see first question), the texts of the billing document are determined from the appropriate delivery (and not from the order).

I have problem in populating the cutom fields for the Purchase Order. I have created a custon include and i am passing the values to the extension of the Function module BAPI_PO_CHANGE In ECC 6.0. I have one currency field (ZZMASSIST) in the header level and three curr fields in the item level , due to this currfields we are getting the errors like "Error transferring ExtensionIn data for enhancement CI_EKPODB" and "Error transferring ExtensionIn data for enhancement CI_EKKODB" .
So i am looking to implement the BADI "ME_BAPI_PO_CUST " . Please provide me the sample code for maintain the currency fields in method IF_EX_ME_BAPI_PO_CREATE_02~MAP2I_EXTENSIONIN.
