Problem in Result Rows

Hi Gurus,
I m using an Customized Infoset for Sales Budget Qty (for fg bUDGET Qty), Material Cube (inventory) and Component value (Component & Fg relationship i.e. BOM details).
Now from this infoset, in report I want to show according to Sales budget Quantiy what should be my Component Qty (RM) and What is exactly now?
But there are 2 Characteristcs in the Cube material (FG) and the Components (RM), when I drill down on Componentwise FGwise report it gives me proper Qty i.e. based on Budget Sales Qty, Qty for the Compoents and the Actual GI of Components though this Component Qty gets repeated for each Material (FG), it is giving proper Qty. But for Component Budget Qty it is giving some other value when Material drill down and without drilldown.
My issue is in simple way the Qty after drilldown (Result) and before drill down (Individual) on material does not Match.
thanks,
Rajdeep.

Hi Pvc,
In the analyzaer check if you have any condition, right click on any cell and click toggle condition.
The condition on the keyfigure, sometimes hides the display of the row howvever the overall result may be calculated considering these conditions.

Sunmit.

  • Exception aggregation in one CKF causing problem in Result row of other CKF

Here is my scenario in 3.5x BW:
I have a CKF A which has exception aggregation (to select maximum value) based on a reference characteristic..
Now this CKF A is used in another CKF B and a third CKF C is being calculated based on CKF B. SInce I am using exception aggregation in CKF A, CKF B and C had to be set to be calculated 'after aggregation'.
Formula for CKF C = 100*B/ D   (D is another constant CKF, with value 1 for each row).
Now my requirement is that the result row of CKF C should be calculated using the same formula on result row of B and D. This was working when I was calculating A without exception aggregation. But now I need to use exception aggregation aswell as I want the result of C = 100 * Sum(B)/ Sum(D).
I have tried the alternative of using a Formula selection (with formula collision - Result from this Formula)instead of CKF for calculating 'C', but didnot find any success in getting result row of C as per my requirement.
Any suggestions in resolving the issue will be higly appreciated..
    Thanks
    Shikha

you have created a calculated key figure A in your query, and in the properties of this calculated key figure you have defined the exception aggregation right?
so you can create a second calculated key figure (say A') with the same definition as ckf A, but you don't put any exception aggregation in it. then you need to create a second calculated key figure (say B') to replace the calculated key figure B, and use ckf B' in this new ckf.
when you use now the calculated key figure B' in the formula of ckf C, it should be correct as you use ckf A' as basis, which has no aggregation...
    quite straight forward, no?

  • Problem in positioning of the Overall Result Row when using a hierarchy

    Hello All,
i've built a query on a hierarchy and i want the 'Overall Result' to be displayed at the bottom.
I've made the following setting in the Query Designer
    <b>Query Properties -> Display -> Results Position -> Bottom/Right</b>
but still, the 'Overall Result' is displayed at the top of the result rows.
Could some one please tell me if this is how the functionality is expected to work when a hierarchy is used for display ?
We are on BW3.1 SP 9

    Hi Roberto,
could you please let me know if the following analysis of mine is correct.
The Overall Result will be dispalyed at the top if the 'Position of Lower-Level Nodes' is set to 'Down'(default setting) in the Hierarchy Properties of
the characteristic. If the 'Overall Result' is required to be at the bottom then 'Position of Lower-Level Nodes' has to be set to 'Up'. It is not possible to display the Overall Result at the bottom with the 'Position of Lower-Level Nodes' set to 'Down'
Will greatly appreciate your help !

  • Hierarchy results row problem

    Hi All,
I have a Hierarchy on infoobject 0MATERIAL. When we execute the report, the results rows are only shown for some nodes but not for others of the same level. The setting "Root/Totals Item Appears Above" is set. Also, the characteristic 0MATERIAL is set in the query to always display results.
Can you help me in sorting this out?
    Cheers

    Hello,
Please let me know how did you set the following setting in query :
    "Root/Totals Item Appears Above"
    Thanks in advance.

  • Result row problem in query.

    Hi,
There is a hierarchy at the query level. When the report is run with disabling the hierarchy i am getting following output in result row =1 which is correct.
                                        Column A
    StoreA                              1
         DepartmentA               1
                    ClassA             1
    Result row                       1
When hierarchy drilldown is removed to one level i am getting different output which is 2.
                               Column A
    StoreA                              1
         DepartmentA               1
    Result row                       2
Why i am getting different result row just by removing drilldown to a level?  The setting Calculate result row as is put as "Sum".
Please help me to resolve this issue.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Virinchi.

You have chosen a currency field which has multiple currencies ie 1000GBP and 2000 EUR - hence * for the total
Include the unit of currency in your query and supress result rows for the user - then you will get a total per currency code
Or of course you coudl nodim the result and add that up (ie in the exampel above you will get 3000

  • Overall Result Row is not the Sum of Individual Values!

I am frustrated with a weird problem.  I have an expense report in which Expense1 is shown a value of 8,126.  If I drilldown by company code, the sum of the company codes is 8,235, but the "Overall Result" row is showing 8,126.
I tried drilling down by GL accounts, cost centers, profit centers, material and even currency.  For all of these drilldowns the "Overall Result" row is 8,126 but the individual values sum out to be 8,235.
First I thought it could be "Zero Suppression" that is hiding some values from the display.  But "Zero Suppression" was not active at all.  I have checked the LISTCUBE and saw that the Expense1 should be 8,235 and not 8,126.  The key figure properties "Calculate Result As" and "Calculate Single Values As" are set to "Nothing Defined" and "Use Default Direction".  But still for some strange reason, the "Overall Result" row is different than the sum of individual rows.  It's driving me crazy as I have ran out of ideas to figure out what's happening.  Could someone help me with this?  I would appreciate any input with points!

    Hi,
Remove the 'Suppress Zero rows/columns' from the query definition and then check the values.
Column A might have value, but for the same row column B might have zero, hence the row was not shown in the result set, but the overall result will include all such values as well, even thought it was not shown in the result set.
    HTH,
    regards,
    Nataraj.

  • Conditions for results row in query

    Hi,
I've query with conditions. Let us say without conditions query result has 10 records. But After applying conditions result has 4 records.
When you check the result row the subtotals and totals are coming wrong. Result rows are considering the 10 records.
How can I get the result row has to consider only those 4 records after conditions.

    Hi,
I have the same problem. And I didn't find any solution.
    kind regards

  • Wrong value in Result Row in a query which includes 1:N relationship SO/Inv

    Dear all,
I have an InfoSet which includes sales order DSO, PO DSO and Invoice DSO. The purpose is to design a report to show 3rd party order flow.
Now I met an issue if one sales item contains multiple billing doc. Below is an example:
Sales doc: S001   order Qty is 600, there are two invoices for this order B001 invoice 200 and B002 invoice 400. Now in report we see below:
Sales Doc. --   Invoice no.   ---  Order Qty  --   Invoice Qty
      S001 ---B001         -
           600        -
             200
      S002 ---B002         ---        600         -
            400
    Result Row     -
                                     1200      ---            600
We can see in Result Row totsl order qty is 1200 which is wrong.
I am wondering if anybody have such experience and the method soving this problem ? Many thanks in advance !

    Hi,
Normal aggregation calculates the result row as a summation.  However, you can change this default behaviour by using Exception aggregation at "Order Qty" key figure.
You can find a detailed article with examples about Exception aggregation at:
    http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/index?rid=/library/uuid/f0b8ed5b-1025-2d10-b193-839cfdf7362a
    I hope this helps you.

  • Display only the result rows only by using condition or any other way

    Hello Everybody,
I've a web report where I want to diplay ony the result rows and don't want to display the detail rows at all. I could hide the detail rows but these rows still appear without any value in the key figure fields.
I tried to revove the characteristic field from the drilldown but it doesn't show the report correctly. Then I tried to write a condition to filter the detail rows but this condition doesn't apply to the result rows so this effort also didn't work for me.
Is there anyway we can display the report with only the result rows ? I've already tried to find out a solution on SDN but couldn't get the solution eventhough I found many posts on this kind of requirement.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks
    Alok

    Please explain when you say
"I tried to remove the characteristic field from the drill down but it doesn't show the report correctly"
What is problem there? What result do you get. If possible please provide  details of columns layout and few numbers

  • Result row display in a Bex query in BW

    Hi ,
I have a problem where the result rows are not getting displayed for row where only one line is getting displayed.
Basically, in column i have a 2 columns one is a normal characteristic for customer and another is a hierarchy field (Product Hierarchy) against some key figures.
But , for a given customer and product hierarchy their is only one line occuring .
Here, the result line is not appearing .
This condition is appearing only where their is a single line comming up.But,  where multiple lines are appearing , the result line is getting displayed.
The results are not visible at the level 1 when there is only one occurrence and even if the option in Query Designer is :- results rows is  u201Calways displayu201D.
Is their any other setting i need to do in order to correct this.
    Thanks in advance,
    Balaji Raj

    hello Balaji,
i had a similar problem with a query.
in this query a resultline was never shown for a characteristic - even when i choose the option "ever show result line" for this characterstic.

  • Percentage Calculation for result rows

    Hi
I have problem with percentage calculation on result rows. I have 2 KFs A and B, the result is calulated by setting 'calculate result rows as' to 'summation'.
But in KF 'C' (which is calculated as A/B*100 ),
Now the probles is the systen picks up original values of A and B for calculation of C in result rows.
i.e. system picks up values of result rows for A and B for
setting 'calculate result rows as' to 'nothing defined'.
Any ideas on how to fix this.
    Thanks

  • Decimal places on the result row is incorrect

    Dear Expert,
I met a problem that decimal places on the result row is incorrect.Anyone can help me?
On key figure balance,we do the currencies translation, also we set the key figure should have two decimal places.
We set a fomular to calculate the total result of Account A,B,C.
(Total result = account Aaccount Baccount C).
If we manually sum up the balance of account A,B,C displayed on analyzer, which are rounded to 2 decimal places, the result should be 601.25(100.61200.38300.26),but the actual total result executed by query is 601.24.
In fact we need the result 601.25 instead of 201.24.
I take the example as following:
    Account      Balance
    Account A  100.61
    Account B  200.38
    Account C  300.26
    Total result 601.24
    Thank you in advance.

your "problem" is, that BEx is not totalling the "displayed" values but the real values
try a summation on the following in Excel:
    100,605
    200,375
    300,26
then format the cells to show 2 decimal places only
do you see the result changing?

  • Hide Result row when SUMCT is used

I am using SUMCT function in one of the formula that is used in the query. I am getting the correct value for my reeport when the result row is displayed.
Now I want to suppress the result row. If I set the result row to be suppressed, the formula gives me incorrect value.
Is there a way to continue using the SUMCT function and also suppressing the result row?
Are there any workaround to achieve this functionality?
    Any help will be appretiated.

    Hello All,
I was able to workaround the problem by using "Constant Selection" instead of the SUNCT function.
I am now able to get the correct data when even I suppress the result rows.

  • Result Row in the query output

    Hi,
If I restrict a characteristic by hierarchy then I can’t have the result row displayed. If the hierarchy active is removed then the result row gets displayed. All characteristics are marked to show the result row.
This characteristic is Account Number. If in the query definition I remove the restriction on account numbers and just select hierarchy active and the required hierarchy in the properties then I get the result row in the output. But now it also displays all the unassigned account numbers in a separate node “Not Assigned Account Number (s)”.
I can’t even restrict it in the output with hierarchy active selected. When I do select filter value in the output the options Include in Selection and exclude from Selection are grayed out and hence can’t select it.
    Please advice on this issue…
    Thank you,
    sam

    Hi Jaya,
I think you misunderstood my issue.
My problem is not that i do not want to see the field. But instead, i do not want to see only the results row in the query output.
I need to have the results to populate a calculation via sumct formula.
My question is, can sumct be populated if i hide/supress RESULT row ?

  • Result row won't summarize

    Hi all,
I have a report where I have column A, B, C and D. They all consists of formulas.
The problem is in the overall result row (or the top node in a hierarchy). For column A and B I want the result row to use the formulas and this works fine. But for column C and D I want the result row to use the summation function. I have tried setting the "Calculate result as..." to Summation but this does not make a difference. Any ideas why this isn't working? Or other settings I might try?
    Any suggestions will be appreciated!
    Thanks and regards,
    TMV

I have already tried this and it doesn't make a difference. When reading the following in SAP Help I get the impression that it is not possible to force summation when you have subsequent calculations. http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/4d/af1dc766d5df44bfdb76f7e54d16e2/frameset.htm
Am I right? And does anyone know a workaround for this?
