Problem of contentHeight with Latest Build 442

Hi,
I am having a problem to access contentHeight from controller.
The syntax is below.
private var _controller:ContainerController;
var newHeight:Number = _controller.contentHeight;
It throws an error now, I was previously using IContainerController with Build 370. It was working fine but now as I switched to 442 with ContainerController it shows error.
Please suggest how I can access this.
Regards,
Rajesh

Hi
Yes strange to remove this handy reference to height.
The way to achieve this now is to use
textFlow.flowComposer.getControllerAt(0).getContentBounds().height
or if you have a variable for your Controller then just use that to getContentBounds().height

Micheal

  • Workaround for using the latest nightly SDK 4.0 builds with Flash Builder Beta 2

The latest builds of SDK 4.0 have been updated in preparation for including playerglobal.swc for Flash Player 10.1. Flash Builder Beta 2 can not find playerglobal.swc due to the addition of the {targetPlayerMinorVersion} variable found in the flex-config.xml file.
When using recent nightly SDKs with Flash Builder Beta 2, please modify them as follows:
    1) Rename the folder <nightly sdk location>/frameworks/libs/player/10.0 to "10"
    2) Edit the file <nightly sdk location>/frameworks/flex-config.xml and remove ".{targetPlayerMinorVersion}" and save
When you restart Flash Builder, we will now find a correct location for playerglobal.swc, allowing for code hints and many other features to work properly.

    Bump.
As people continue to have problems with the nightly SDK 4 builds and Flash Builder Beta 2, please remember to use the workaround described at the top of this thread. • Can Microsoft Please fix this problem! We cannot update to the latest Build!

    Microsoft,
We are still stuck at build number 9841.
We cannot update to the latest release build number to do beta testing!
    It's been so dead frustrating!
What are you guys been doing?
Can you please fix the problem!

I have downloaded the latest build 9879, I format my hard disk and reinstall the OS with the latest build.
Right after installation, I did a check via the preview build just to make sure I did not get the same error again.
And guess what, I still get the same error again. This is impossible. It should not have that same error again while checking for a new preview build updates!
See the screen shot, see at the watermark build number at the right hand bottom corner.
So what could be the problem then?
Your screen shot shows you are running the latest build, 9879, therefore you will not see a new preview build when checking. I agree that the wording in the message could be better however.

  • Hi! I can't upgrade my iTunes 10.3.1.55 on my Windows XP 2002 SP3 to the latest version of iTunes. Got the message: "A problem has occured with the Windows Installer-package. A program needed for this installation could not be run." What to do?

Perhaps let's first try updating your Apple Software Update.
Launch Apple Software Update ("Start > All Programs > Apple Software Update"). Does it launch and offer you a newer version of Apple Software Update? If so, choose to install just that update to Apple Software Update. (Deselect any other software offered at the same time.)
If the ASU update goes through okay, try another iTunes install. Does it go through without the errors this time?

  • Flex Builder 3 Beta 3 Debugging not working with latest Flash Player Debug

First to emphasize that never had such issues with Flex
Builder 2 Beta 2 and Flash Player 9.0.47 Debug version.
I downloaded Flex Builder 3 Beta 3 and installed it. Then
trying to debug any Flex app (old or newly created) does not work.
I don’t get any errors, but after some research I saw
it’s nagging up on trying to connect to the Flash Player
    debug version.
    1. Uninstalled old versions of Flash Player (FP).
    2. Downloaded latest debug version of FP 9 (9.0.115) and
installed it both for IE and Opera (Netscape-compatible).
    3. Installed Flex Builder 3 Beta 3.
    4. Created a simple Flex app.
    5. Ran it in debug mode.
    6. Showed a small window with title “Progress
Information” and a progress + text: Waiting for Flash Player
    to connect to debugger…
    7. Two minutes later I got the error: “Failed to
connect; session timed out. Ensure that: 1. You compiled your Flash
application with debugging on. 2. You are running the debugger
    version of Flash Player.”
Any idea what is wrong? I tried to download an older debug
version but then FB 3 Beta 3 raises the error it’s expecting
    version 9.0.115. I searched to download FB3 Beta 2 (because I
deleted it after downloading Beta 3) but unfortunately Adobe did
their best to wipe it out from their links.
    Any help is welcome.

    Hi Dimitar,
Did you close all the browsers (and applications which use
Flash Player) when you install Flex Builder 3 Beta 3 or Flash
Player? You can try manually installing it from <FB install
    location>/player/ directory. Here're some
    installation/unintallation instructions of Flash Player:

  • Problem with Vision Builder and LabView: Error -1074395995, File not found

I have created an inspection with Vision Builder AI 2009 SP1. In it I load some pictures from the HDD and run some checks over it. It works fine. Then I have migrated it to LabView 2010, I get a message that the migration is successfull, but when I run the VI on LabView I get a fail status. I have been checking my program and I have found and error when I try to load the picture from file: Error -1074395995 occurred at IMAQ ReadImageAndVisionInfo
Possible reason(s): IMAQ Vision:  File not found.
But I am not sure which file it refers to. At first I thought it was the picture I wanted to load, but I have checked the path and it is correct, so maybe it refers to another thing. What puzzles me most is that it works perfectly on Vision Builder and I have changed nothing in LabView, maybe it is a problem with the migration. Any clues?

Here's a screenshot of what I'm talking about. Put a break point here and see what the path is and compare that with what Vision Builder AI is using (described where to find this in the previous post). You could find where this global is used to make debugging easier.
    Hope this helps,
    Brad

Is the latest flashplayer plugin compatible with 10.6.8? If this is so, I need to find an older flash player plugin to reinstall. I do not want to upgrade from 10.6.8 at this time because I have 18 yrs. worth of financial records on Quicken that I have read will not work with Lion and I've read bad things about running music programs on Maverick.

    1)  Quicken 2007 for Intel (Snow Leopard, Lion, Mt. Lion and Mavericks) is a full featured app that can be downloaded from Intuit for $15 and will work with your data file if you are using Quicken 2005, 2006 or 2007 (if you version is earlier, let me know for more instructions on easy conversion):
    http://quicken.intuit.com/personal-finance-software/quicken-2007-osx-lion.jsp
    2) Partition your hard drive, or add an external hard drive and install Mavericks there and "dual-boot" to operate your music programs in Snow Leopard and experiment with them in Mavericks.
DO NOT install Mavericks over Snow Leopard!

  • Problem with Weblogic Builder SP1

I have a problem with Weblogic Builder SP1. I basically re-used my EJB deployment
descriptors from WL5.1 in WL8.1. Before SP1, i have no problem loading my EJB

I re-attempted by jarring my EJB with WL5.1 descriptors and used my friend's WB

I wasn't able to scroll over with the browser I was using before (or maybe I was but just didn't...).  The "Invalid cross-device link" part is indicating that it is trying to create a hard-link across two filesystems.  An example would be if you had a separate / and /home, and tried to create a hard link between something in /etc and something in your $HOME.  It would not work because they are on separate partitions (the inodes are not shared).  But this can also happen if you try to hard link across bind mounts as well, which is less obvious.
What I meant by non-POSIX compliant filesystem is a filesystem that does not support POSIX attributes.  If you tried to install Linux on a vfat or ntfs filesystem, it would not work simply because it does not support all the features that are required to make Linux work.  The most basic of these is the user and group ownership and file permissions.  But this is not the case for you since you are using ext4 (and I apparently didn't investigate your code block closely enough).

    Chester31,
Thank you very much for sharing your file with us!  Now that we are able to reproduce the problem at our end, you may stop sharing the file on Acrobat.com.
Do you know when this problem (for not being able to add new highlight/strikeout/underline) has started?  Did you update your iOS from 7.x to 8.0 recently?
We will continue investigating the problem and let you know what we find.
Thank you again for your help.

    Hello,
today we are experiencing strange problems with Folio Builder. We are adding new artcles to folio created today and all added articles have same issue - spinning wheel in folio builder. Such articles we can't see in Content viewer until we delete existing folio.

    Hi,
Could be that there was a network problem when uploading the InDesign documents.
Try to select the articles and delete them with the trashcan. And then reupload the documents from InDesign.
    Good luck!
