Problem populating date dimension with correct values

Hi all,
I have a 'simple' problem, but can't get it solved! The YTD calculations in the cube don't 'reset' at the right moment in time (they should 'reset' on the FISCAL year, but it actually seems to happen on the normal calendar year).
Our dimensions and cubes are MOLAP. There is a relational table, containing columns with values for both a CALendar hierarchy as well as for a FISCAL year hierarchy. This table populates the date dimension (only the fiscal hierarchy as in MOLAP we only have a fiscal hierarchy). The result looks correct in the data viewer.
The cube is populated from relational sources as well. One view provides the measure values and the CODE (business identifiers) values for each dimension involved. In case of the date dimension, it provides the code value for the involved level at which we load the cube (month).
I made a very simple testcase with only 1 dimension (date) and 1 small cube. The cube uses only the date dimesion (to load cube on the fiscal hierarchy at month level) and has 1 base measure that is loaded with a simple number and 1 calculated measure that calculates the YTD value for this base measure. The calculated measure is added in the OWB cube designer using button "Generate Calculated Measures" and choosing the "Year to Date" function.
When populating the cube and using the data viewer to check the results, the YTD measure values don't 'reset' at the fiscal year end. They seem to reset at the normal CALendar year end!?
After some testing, I have concluded it has to do with the values I supply to populate the date dimension, but I can't figure out what the modification should be and I can't find any examples anywhere.
Does anyone out there have a working YTD calculation in MOLAP?

Sorry David, I am not sure I've got this right yet. I am looking at using the cumsum function, but I am not sure how to apply this. That is, I can see examples (cumsum(measure, total_dim, reset_dim)), but I think I cannot put such formula directly into the expression editor for a cube measure in OWB?
Until now I have been using the standard available calculated measures in the OWB measure editor and I think they insert an xml template? I'll get the Excel Calculation Tool from OTN, to see if I can create the correct formula and paste that in OWB in the expression editor for the measure. (Does that tool need a ROLAP workspace or does it need / can it work with a MOLAP workspace?)

I have downloaded the Excel sheet and can see how it works, but it seems to "insert" the calculated measures straight into the AW. However we deploy the AW from OWB so I will be looking at getting something to enter/paste in the expression editor of OWB...

In table -J_1IEXCDTL the EXBED it was with correct value 10% of the Base value
But In table -J_1IRG23D the EXBED,ADE,CESS It was updated with 0.06% on the base value .its gives wrong value

Hi,
Go to T Code - J2I5 (not 215 it is j 2 i 5) enter details and select register PLA Check box and execute. This can be extracted many times - no problem.
After J2i5 balance will update in registers including tables.

Dimension with one value not returned

Hi all,
I have a question related with the dimensions returned by the Endeca search results.
There is one dimension, which has only one single value for all records, that is not returned with the Endeca search results.
Do you know why can this happen?

Yes. Guided navigation only returns "valid refinements" for a given navigation state. In other words, after each refinement is made, the Endeca Server recalculates which refinements are now valid. Valid refinements are those that, if selected, will filter the result set further. If every record in a result set carries the same dimension with the same value, the Endeca Server will not return it since it is not valid as a refinement. If every record has it, selecting it would not refine the results further -- rather, it would return the same collection of records that is already displayed effectively accomplishing nothing.
I suspect that EVERY record in your Endeca Server has the same value for a dimension and, by design, the Endeca Server is not returning it in guided navigation.

Data-load with Negetive values

it is a simpe query which i am not supposed to post ?

In my app data file contains Positive values.
Only for few members i have to load the data as --negative values.
EX;Count Type Code D for Debit C for Credit
If D, load Contract & Member counts as negative numbers
If C, load them as positive
i think need to set changes in Rule file....
Pls suggest me how to write the load rule for this.

I dont know the setting on the top of my mind at rule file end . But I have one solution ( you might not like it).
1. Load the comlete data with negative values , then use IF ...ELSE condition and include @ABS function for the required ones.
2. I mean, apply the condition and use the function of ABS which will make -ve numbers +ve
Check out for other posts by other experts too.
If its development setup and if you can change the data source , try this.

IT0041 : Same date type with different values in the same infotype

Is it possible to store in the 0041 infotype, the same type date but with a diffentent date.
Example :

My two cents.
I don't think it can be done in standard. Also copying IT 0041 would limit you to enter only 12 dates.
My suggestion:
Create a custom infotype with subtype field and a date field like IT 0015.
On the screen you will only be seeing subtype and date. And assign time constraint 3 to it.
In this way with the same subtype you can record several dates.

Spry dataset problem. Image dimensions with css

Hey guys.
I'm new to spry, and not an experienced web designer with beginner knowledge in programming.
I am using a spry data set to make a blog kind of interface. I'm using a master/detail layout from the Dreamweaver presets. I am using html, not xhtml and dreamweaver cs4.
I want to change the dimensions of the images in the detail container. I would like to use the max-width command. I have tried using an id tag on the image detail column and using the width command on it with little luck.
How can I do this. Using css is a must, because I'll be using InContext Editing so other users can upload images and posts. So they won't have to worry about the dimensions.

The layout that I sketched up is the one I am going for. So a tip on how to get the text and the headings to flow around the image like shown in the picture would be greatly appreciated. Is it recommended to use tables inside div tags or spry for that matter?

Problem replacing Null nodes with real values in XML documents...

Oracle Database 10g Enterprise Edition Release 10.2.0.4.0 - 64bit Production
Our friends in Java land are insisting on passing data between Java and PL/SQL using fairly small XML documents (don't ask). I then need to extract the input parameter values and pass them, on to the stored procedures that actually do the work. These return a result which needs to be returned to the java layer in the output XML document.
Here is a cut down version of the input XML...

I am extracting the input values using the DBMS_XMLDOM functions and naively assumed that DBMS_XMLDOM.SETNODEVALUE could be used to update the value in the Result node - It didn't work so I resorted to reading the documentation which revealed that it will not work for a null node.
Am I going to have to use XSLT to generate the output XML from the Input and incorprate the result? Or is there a simpler way?
I have used XSLT in Oracle before and still have the nervous tick...

Problem Regarding Invoice Booking with freight value

I have RBKP , RSEG, BKPF, BSEG tables.
I can fetch data from above tables for invoce booking values.
But i can't fetch freight and other charges against particular invoice.So i am getting purchase rate of material without freight
in case of same purchase order and in same item.
one example,
Company purchase one item based on PO today.
after two days Company purchase same item bsed on same PO.Now user make entry of invoice with frieght.Now in two invoice how can i find freight of one invoice.
So kindly suggest how can i link invoice with freight.

It might has something to do with the Partial Inv. field in the Account assignment category in PO item level..
Are u using Derive from account assignment category???

Problem in Data updation with multiple windows in JSF

Hi,
I am facing a problem whitle working in JSF. As per my project scenario I have a list page which shows list of entities. I can click on the id of the entity and open a new window containing the details of that particular entity. In that perticular window I have option to update the details of the entity. I can open as many windows as I wish (Every window opens the same JSP Page) and can update them at the same time.
If I open 3 windows containing details of 3 entities and update them one by one by clicking on edit button and then update button, it will work fine for all 3 windows. But if I click edit in all 3 windows simultaneously then click update on each of them it will work fine for the first updated entity but for the next windows I am getting the same object as the object is not getting updated with new data in the request for particular entity.
Can anyone please suggest me any solution.

Good to hear that your first problem is solved. For the problem you are currently facing now, when ever some inbound request is stuck in either waiting or partial state any sync that you do from the client is useless because middleware doesn't accept any further inbound requests until and unless the previous requests which got stuck in either partial or waiting state move to either finished or ignore or error state.
This problem could happen because of many reasons. One reason could be either that particular synbo is not active. If it is active and still the requests are stuck in partial state then the problem could be with middleware system i mean because of heavy load it will take some time to process the request or if the system goes down in middle of processing then it doesn't restart processing.
So i would like you to check if all MAM syncbo's are active (status should be green). If you are sure that middleware system is also working fine then move that request to ignore state and then do a sync from client and check if the middleware processes the new requests.
Even if the new requests are stuck in partial state then the only solution could be to reinstall the application on middleware.

Problem formatting date labels with DateTimeAxis and parseFunction

I'm working with a line chart that gets its data from a MySQL
database and
I'm using a DateTimeAxis to try to display the date on the
x-axis. The date
is formatted in the database as "YYYY-MM-DD" - however when I
run the
application I am only seeing the date displayed as MM/YY. I
am using a
parseFunction as follows:

Problem importing text file with null value

I used the following codes to import a text file and it
worked perfectly.
However, it skipped the TAB (chr(9)) on the imported row when
there is no data (empty string) in one of the columns.

There is no perfect way to handle this with out you writing
more complicated code.
A good compromise is to replace this line:

with this:

Problem LiveCycle Data Services with Parsley Framework

I have problem when using LiveCycle Data Services and Parsley framework.
Here is my Dynamic command :

JCA adapter doesnt update MarkReadColumn with correct value

Found it. Marked too many fields as PK's during wizard so it couldn't find the right row for the update.

Problem unlocking Locked SIM with correct code

I bought my unlocked iPhone 5 in the United States in October of 2014 and have used it on an Irish network carrier for the last few months. Everytime I turn on my phone I enter my PIN code and then a message pops up saying 'Locked SIM' and gives me an option of 'OK' or 'Unlock'. I always am able to unlock it using my network unlocking code but for some reason when I turned on my phone today and entered my network unlocking code, it won't unlock. It just says 'Unlocking.... please wait' and then nothing happens. How do I rectify this problem? Do I go to my network provider or an Apple store?

For the SIM pin you go to the network provider. You may need to get the SIM replaced.

Problem in date comparing with db2 database,query is not executing
