Problem to generete settlement rule automatcaly in the WBS

Hi people,
Could you help me about the subject below?
For some reason, when we create a new wbs, it was not created the settlement rule automatcally. ( For the other one it runs OK, only for one WBS it was not ok).
So we tried to execute the transaction CJB2 to generate the settlement rule.
We have analysed the Forun and find: http://scn.sap.com/thread/1407279. We try to apply the piece of the change program about the flag ex.: INVMA.
But when we execute the CJB2 and do the things there is in this forun, the system create the settlement rule with CTR (cost center) instead of FXA (Asset).
Do you have some suggestion how we can do to create the settlement rule with FXA by transaction CJB2?
Thanks,
RN

Hi RN,
Check the setting:

  • Problem with periodic settlement rule

    Hello everybody.
We are working with SAP ECC 6.0, in a poultry industry which produces egg for consumption. We have defined for address the production costs, a periodic Settlement Rule, considering the percentage of egg production by type (A, B, C, Jumbo, and so on), for each shed. The order is created with 18 weeks of life during the growing chickens phase, and 62 weeks during the production phase (eggs production). The process requires settling them on a daily basis to be able to update the cost of the product. Due to the own typical of the process, each bird produces a variable amount of eggs by type and day, therefore it is not possible to be established with exactitude the percentage of the daily production of each type of egg. Due to it, when we establish the percentage of the Settlement rule, these do not reflect the reality of the production of the day, because they are fixed by the system after the first settlement. We need to know if a possibility exists of being able to daily update the percentages of the Settlement rule before you settle each order daily maintaining the same order.
    Waiting you could help,
    Kind regards,
    Elvis E. Henriquez A.

I am a hobby farmer and have 5 chickens as well. The closest thing to this which I have seen here in the security forum is an abstract discussion about the chicken-or-the-egg-first dilemma in general... and another about some users being "like a fox in a chicken house"...
Perhaps you want to take a look around the SDN site for a more appropriate forum and let me know which one you would like to have this thread moved into.
Also search the blog area for this, as I distinctly remember some blogs on the topic a few months ago.
    Cheers,
    Julius

  • Problem with changing settlement rule

In a serviceorder when a user changes the wbs element in the additional data tab he or she also needs to change the settlement rule accordingly
further on their needs to be a check if the new wbs element is not TAFS and if the element is a wbs element (since also projects can be filled in here)
I have managed to programm the check in user exit EXIT_SAPLCOIH_009
there I can find out the new value entered by the user and check if it's correct
I only can't get the new filled in values before save from the settlement rule
    when I use
        ASSIGN ('(SAPLKOBS)dkobr') TO <dkobr>.
        CHECK <dkobr> IS ASSIGNED.
the new values for the wbs element are not filled in dkobr when the user exit is running
is there any other way to find the new values for the settlement rule in memory in the user exit mentioned above ?
or is there a bapi or function to adapt the settlement rule automaticaly ?
I have looked at K_ORDER_SETTLEMENT_RULE but I don't see where you can enter the WBS element in this function ?
    kind regards

You can achieve this by using the BADI - CO_SRULE_CHECK. ( Use Transaction SE18).
You implement this BADI - in the method DISTRIBUTION_RULE_CHECK you will be getting the Settlement lines. ( returned by COBRB - this table stores the settlement rules by object numbers - Object number of the Order is stored in AUFK).
From the above mentioned method - DISTRIBUTION_RULE_CHECK , you call a FM - READ_NOTIFICATION_BUFFER. This will return all the buffered data for Notification/Order. You can check the ncessary conditions and raise exception message.
You can use these follwing FMs from your customer exit - EXIT_SAPLCOIH_010 for changing the Settlement rules ( if you want to go that way) -
    K_SETTLEMENT_RULES_UPDATE
    K_SETTLEMENT_RULE_COPY
or search with K_SETTLEMENT_RULE* to get the list of usefull FMs.
    Hope it helps.

  • Settlement Rules on WBS

Is there any single screen wherein I can maintain the settlement rules for all the WBS elements under a project definition instead of selecting the WBS and then going through menu to maintain the rules?
I know its possible to select settlement rule button by selecting all WBS and then maintain rules by clicking Next Entry.
Expecting something similar to an overall screen available on WBS wherein we maintain the master data.
    Help me.
    Regards
    Sreenivas

    Hi Srinivas
Its not possible as you are looking at Projet Defintion level.
However, its possible to transfer settlement rule to all other WBS elements if similarities exists between them through T Code CJ02

  • GR/IR expenses not affected with the settlement rule run process in the GL

<i><b>Please neglect by previous post with the same title</b></i>
There is a problem I face while running the settlement rule process related to internal orders on the GR/IR expenses.
According to the internal order settlement rule every expense associated to an Internal order no. whether its an account payable or manual journal accounts it should be settled (distributed) on the cost centers specified in each internal order after the monthly settlement run process is done through T.Code "KO8G", and this actually happens on the entries that are booked manually through T.Code "FB50", but the GR/IR entries is the biggest problem, it didn't reflect the settlement rule distributions in the GL it just gives me the original transaction once its was automatically created through T.Code "MIGO" they are only allocated to a one profit center with no cost center and without being distributed to a multiple cost centers according to the distribution strategy.
After a long search I found that the cost center distribution occurred only on a secondary none GL account named A&P Settlement (720010), all GR/IR expenses was settled correctly only on this account not through the ordinary GL accounts (e.g. Gifts, printed materials) and of course the correct distribution didn't appear in the GL,
So is there a transaction or any way to allocate the GR/IR expenses to there correct cost centers with the correct cost element in the GL?
Is there anything to do with the GR/IR calculation that depends on quantity base not value base?
    <i><b>The Process as follows:</b></i>
    (<b>1) Creating Internal order with a settlement rule (E.g. Cost center 1 (50%) Cost center 2 (50%)</b>
<b>2) Creating a purchase order associated to an internal order</b>
<b>3) The Goods received and creating the GR transaction T.Code "MIGO"</b>
    Acc/DR Expenses accounts
    Acc/CR GI/IR Account 400301
    Profit enter ###### (eg. 111177)
    Cost Center <blank>
    Internal order no. ####### (e.g. 9810512)
    <b>
    4) Closing the GR/IR accounts when receiving the invoice T.Code "MIRO"</b>
    <b>When we receive vendor invoice:</b>
    Acc/Dr GI/IR Account 400301
    Acc/Cr Vendor Account
    Profit enter ###### (eg. 111177)
    Cost Center <blank>
    Internal order no. ####### (e.g. 9810512)
<b>5) Performing the Internal order settlement rule run process</b>
<b>(N.B.</b> By entering the report of the cost center (Actual/Plan/ Variance) T.Code S_ALR_87013611
I found that GR/IR expenses was not charged on the concerned cost centers as shown in the GL <b>)</b>
    <b>Your Reply is highly appreciated</b>

    Thanks for your kind reply,
But is there a way solve this problem?
And what is the use of leaving a field in the account assignment tab for an internal order while creating a PO and it will not take advantage of the settlement rule????????
And as you know the internal order settlement is a way to create a multiple account assignment
Can we solve the problem by making an automatic fake transaction that reverse the value of the GR/IR and creating another transaction can apply on it the settlement rule??
You know that settlement rule process is one of the best features in the SAP system it save time and effort to make distributions manually

  • Error: Maintain settlement rule of the sender for a higher level WBS

    Hi,
I dont want to maintain the settlement rule for a higher level WBS. How can i configure this in such a way that i dont get the following error:" Maintain settlement rule of the sender" while doing CJ88. Maintaing a separate Settlement profile for a higher level WBS is an option but we are looking if something else could be done The problem is that there are no actuals booked against, say, level 2 WBS but when i execute CJ88, i get the aforesaid error. How can i ensure that only the lowest level WBS ask for the settlement rule and not the levels above it. I have already removed the Investment profile from the higher level WBS but still getting the same error.

  • Doubt about the settlement rule of the Production ORder

The only default distribution rule allowed for a PP order is PP1 or PP2.  We would need to change that to allow settlement to multiple receivers as a default. If that is the case, we may want to look into a user exit to update the settlement rule during production order creation instead so that the G/L account is correct from the beginning.
Currently when we create the production order, the settlement rule will default the below, I am not sure if a user exit is able to maintain the Source as 200 (Materials)?
If yes, we can then add the second rule for Source 100 (Labor and Mfg) via the user exit as well.
In this case, SAP will not prompt us error of settlement with 200%, as they are from difference Sources.
now anybody can explain me about the User EXit we have to correct this

any help on this.. please its very urgent
    thanks in advance

  • CJ20N : Settlement Rules Heritage on unique IeC WBS Element

    Hi Experts,
I've customize PS for an investment project, who have a stategy for top down heritage of the settlement rules from the project definition, and an automatic generation of an only IeC (on first WBS element) when the entire project is launched from the project definition.
All settlement rules are settled to the first WBS element (WBS project), who becomes the IeC.
Heritage is OK on all WBS elements and  I can see them under "Edit -> Costs -> Settlement Rule".
When I try to see my seetlement rules on the first WBS Element (WBS project), the system turn in loop and dump after 2 minutes (time over message).
In my opinion, the error comes that the system permiss to affect the settlement rule (for exemple WBS -> I/0001) on his own object (WBS ID I/0001) . They have no error message when I save the project for the heritage.
After this operation, impossible to go back under "Edit -> Costs -> Settlement Rule" to see the settlement rules of this WBS Element.
For more information, I don't want the create the heritage to level 2 or 3 of my WBS elements structure, because I don't want to loose a level (coding mask I/XXXX.XXXX.XXX.XXXX).
Does an expert have a solution to resolv my problem ?
Thanks in advance for your assistance.

    Hi herieric ,
The program should not enter into an endlos loop in such case. It is rather a program error than a consulting issue. You can copy the key words from the dumps and search the notes. If there is still no suitable notes, create a customer message and ask SAP for support.
    Kind regards,
    Zhenbo

1 Can we delete all settlement rules in single shot at WBS Element Overview.
Actually by mistake user has marked all billing items, generated settlement rule (CJB2) to all

I have checked in MASS changesu2026.but I have option for Billingu2026.. no option for  remove
    settlement rule.
    This is my second doubt:
2 How many ways are there to remove BILLING ELEMENT after becoming gray.
Long back i have faced same problem......i have removed manually, its painfull job.

  • Settlement rule amount exceeding budgetted amount

    Dear all,
We have following scenario for our Client sytems.
Level 1 WBS are used for orgnization.
Level 2 WBS are used for planning & budgetting.
It will have structure as A0**-GX-**.
Level 3 WBS are used for actual postings.
It will have structure as A0**GX**.
Now under CJ03, when user selects level 2 WBS and then click on settlement rule, can he be allowed to input amount which is more than budgetted amount for this WBS.
If yes, what is the setting we have to do? If no, please tell me why user can not be allowed to do this?
Any pointers on this will be highly appreciated.
    Thanks
    Tushar Vhora

    Unable to understand your query.
What is stopping you to maintain the amount settlement rule on Level 2 WBS? Settlement will only credit this sender WBS element and I don't think budget or availability control will come into picture and cause any problem. For amount settlement to happen, set the 'Amount Settlement' indicator in settlement profile.
If your case is Level 3 WBS settling to Level 2 WBS and you've got limited budet on Level 2 WBS, you'll have issues while settling because of availability control (if active).
To resolve this you've 2 options:
    1. Use settlement cost element (NOT By Cost Element) settlement and exempt this cost element from availability control using T Code OPTK
    2. Else adjust the budget on level 2 WBS suitably to allow settlement to happen.

  • Create settlement rule for Maintenance plan

We have a requirement to create a maintenance plan and assign a settlement rule to the same. I was able to create the maintenance plan using MPLAN_CREATE. I created the settlement rule using the function module K_SRULE_SAVE_UTASK. My problem is when I go to IP03 to check if the settlement rule has been created for the maintenance item, it is not found. When I go to IP02 and click on create and go into the settlement rule maintenance screen, I'm able to see the settlement rule created using the function module.but in the MPOS table, I don't see the indicator IND_ABRVO ( settlement rule indicator ) being maintained.
Can you please help in finding out what I'm missing.
Edited by: Sujay Venkateswaran Krishnakumar on Dec 31, 2009 11:34 AM

    Sri Vas,
Is this specific to a particular WBS element or does it happen for ANY WBS element? The WBS element may not have been setup properly.Check the same WBS element directly by going to the WBS element change transaction. Also check the account assignment and status of the WBS element that Ramesh had suggested. If the WBS element has been defined properly,Try changing the settlement rule to a cost center  and see if you still get this error.

  • Sales order and settlement rule

    Hi
One of my clients has a problem with a settlement rule,
apparently as soon as he saves an order the amount is immediately included in COPA.
    Where can i see this?
I tried transaction COPA but it does not work.
The settlement rule has Not for Settlement defined in Actual Costs/Cost of Sales.
What does this mean apart from the obvious?
    Thx
    RM

    Hi,
what is scenario you are using? Is it make to order ?
are you creating sales order with reference to any project?
you can find settlement rules in
    IMG>SD>Basic functions>account assignment/cositng> Maintain requirements classes  for costing/account assignment.
We maintain settlement profile in requirement class.
you can create settlement profiles in OKO7 t.code. In settlement profile we have option  like sales order settlement allowed / optional / allowed

  • Settlement rule for Rental unit

    Hello all,
Request your kind help. i have created a Building under a BE. Then I have created a RO object of type Rental Space (RS).
I am now trying to maintain settlement rule for the RS. First I am going into the Edit - CO settlement rule and maintaining the required rules.
I find that the Save button is deactivated in this screen. So i click on the BACK button and come back to the master data screen of the RS. Now i am clicking on the SAVE button and the nessage appears "Rental Space has been changed".
I am then coming out of the screen by typing /N.
Again I am typing /NREBDRO and calling the same master data (RS). Now when i am trying to view the settlement rule that I just created and saved, the system issues an error message "no settlement rule is defined".
    My questions are:
    1.  What are the basic setting configs required to be able to save a settlement rule for a rental object?
    2.  Why am I unable to save the settlement rules to this RS.
    3. I am not facing any such problem when I am trying to assign settlement rules for RO of type Pooled Space. So why is it that there is a problem with Rental Spaces?
    Request your kind help please.
    Regards,
    Suvarghya Dutta

    Hello all,
    Let me rephrase the doubt:
Can someone please tell me how I may find out as to which objects could the costs incurred on the following objects be settled to ?
    BE
    BU
    Pooled Space (PS)
    Rental Space (RS).
Also, if the settlemnt rule in BU states that costs would be settled to BE, then is it possible to define:
    1. Valid settlement rule in PS, marking a cost centre as a receipient
    2. Valid settlement rule in RS, marking a cost centre as a receipient.
Can someone please tell me what is the basis or ratinality to be followed while defining settlement rules on RE-FX objects?
    Kindly help.
