Problem with Desktop Setup

My problem is, I select one of Apple's desktop pictures. The picture changes when I select to change on frequent times (for example every 30 minutes) or when I select Random. Is there a way to stop it from changing immediatly? Thanks

This may be a bug related to Remote Desktop. 
I have a problem where Remote Desktop tries to steal the focus when I work with Excel on a dual monitor setup.  So, if I have Excel open on one screen, and if I then have a remote desktop session on a second screen, sometimes when I copy that back and
forth from the RD window, the taskbar will begin to flash as if trying to get the control when I work in Excel.  Note that my primary computer is Windows Vista, I am using Excel 2007 and I am using RD to connect to a Windows XP computer.  Both computers
are fully patched with the latest SPs.  Monitor 1 (left) is the primary monitor that has Excel on it, and Monitor 2 (right) has the RD window in full screen mode.
This becomes a problem because normally, my taskbar is hidden, but each time the RD window keeps flashing, it unhides the taskbar and covers a lot of my work.  I do not recall this problem occuring in XP, but I may have forgotten.  Also, I have only
noticed this problem when I am working with RD and Excel. In addition, this problem is not consistent and the problem sometimes doesnt occur.
A workaround that I use is to not open the RD window in full screen mode.
Anyone else have this issue, or any suggestions on resolving this problem?

Have you tried updating your Remote Desktop software?
I was having this issue on Windows XP SP3.  Fixed the issue by updating Remote Desktop from version 6.0.6001.18000 to 6.1.7600.16385.

EDIT: Unfortunately, this did not solve the issue as previously stated.  After updating RDC it worked for a few days, then the issue came back.  Still have not found a solution :(

    My first concern is that you do have a version of desktop manager that you can maintain your device and PIM data with, do you?
    Please post back with as much detail as possible regarding your hardware and software setup.
    Also post what steps you have taken to resolve the issue. The more detail we have the better we can help you. I'll reread KB 19300 and find what happened to my broken link.

    my new house is expansive so i wanted the extended range and airplay in each room.
    This is not told to customers, and utility doesnt show any issues.
    I do not seem to get any range from either network now, - and I'm quite experienced with airport (6 yrs of setting up & using & extending)

  • Strange problem with desktop

    Hi, I have a very strange problem with desktops and dashboards something else. For example, when I am on desktop 2 and i go to desktop 1, when I click with the mouse on it, it goes again to desktop 2. or when I am on desktop 1 and I go to ddashboard, it returns again to desktop 1 when i click to something in the dashboard.
    but, if i am on desktop 3, and i go to desktop 1 throguh desktop 2, there is no problem. the same if i go from desktop 2 to dashboard.
    I hope i've been clear enough to let you understand this... explanation =P

    My system has started "freezing". Actually, usually when I'm browsing the net, Chromium stops loading pages. Conky stops updating, and usually I can't switch to another programs. I can't start xkill from menu, menu opens but nothing starts. If I run "ls" etc in Terminal, nothing happens
    I can however control+alt+F1 to CLI, but if I try to login nothing happens.If doesn't help even if I kill X (I started it with startx). And if I don't kill X, I can't go back from CLI with control+alt+F7, there's just a black screen.
    I'm using Nvidia drivers also, and XFCE4. This started happening some time ago, I think I was using Gnome2 back then. And I have updated my system, and this has happened at least with 3 kernel versions. There's nothing on logs. Well, actually, there's "TCP: Possible SYN flooding on port 6881. Sending cookies" errors on everything.log. But those don't happen when system freezes. And sometimes Chromium stops loading pages but other programs don't freeze, I think it's a problem with cache or something.
    Not really sure if this everything happens because of Chromium. I think I'm gonna switch back to Firefox and see what happens. Usually I'm running Chromium, Opera (use it just for a couple of pages), couple of Terminals and Kaffeine.

    Our team have installed a new production environmnent to ECC in HA. We have a ASCS in cluster and two dialog instance in each server(local instance).
    A virtual host GPPR3CIB and two instances in local, node GPPR301 and node GPPR302. This is an ECC 6.0 on Windows 2003 Server and SQL server 2005.
    The architecture is as follows:
    - GPPR301 node:
       - Virtual ASCS ASCS_0 (message server)
       - ABAP Primary Instance PPR301_1 (disp+work)
       - ERS (Enqueue replication server) instace ERS_10
    - GPPR302 node:
       -ABAP Additional Instance PPR302_2 (disp+work)
       -Virtual Database Instance GPPR3DB
       -ERS (Enqueue replication server) Instance ERS_10
    Once the installation is complete you need to apply SAP Note No. 943334 - "TMS setup in high availability systems" to set up high availability STMS. The problem is to distribute the configuration after running
    the report " 'TMS_MGR_LOADBALANCING" described in SAP note.
    The message indicates problems trying to run the command tp.exe. It has followed the note No. 1010990 and we have checked the folder permissions of the kernel but the problem persists.
    Any information or help regarding this type of setup would be welcome.

    We have solved the problem with STMS. After several tests, the problem was in the parameter SAPLOCALHOSTFULL. This parameter must be assigned the hostname of the local system for each profile instance. If you've assigned the virtual host in the cluster generates the error in the distribution of the STMS.

  • Problem with J2SDK setup

    Hi all,
    I am experiencing problems with my J2SDK setup. I think my problem due to many previous versions of JDKs.
    I have re-installed JSDK1.4.2_03, set the "path" variable to "C:\JSDK1.4.2_03".
    When I compile using "javac" I get an error saying "javac" is not recognised.
    When I compile using "C:\j2sdk1.4.2_03\bin\javac Freq.java" no error is thrown.
    Every time I try to run a java file, I always get the NoClassDefFound error. When run with the -verbose option, files are loaded from C:\Program Files\Java\j2re1.4.2_03\bin - is this correct?
    I have removed all previous references to java in the registry editor.
    I would be really grateful to you (and anyone else) for help with this problem.

    Thanks for getting back to me. I have altered my CLASSPATH and path. Unfortunately it is still not working. I have run java using the full path to the jdk and the jars are loaded in from the right place, but I still get the noclassdeffound error. I have removed all references to CLASSPATH and PATH. When I run with the verbose option (with no ref to the jdk in any variable), the jar files are loaded in from C\program files\java\j2re1.4.2_03! But there is no reference to this location in any variable.My j2sdk is installed in C:\j2sdk1.4.2_03.

    My notebook is dv6-6c53er with two earphones outs and one microphone. So, I want to ask you a question. Can I set my earphones outs for different tasks or can I set them as independed outs. My English isn't so good, but that isn't so good, when i'm listening my music and when i get a message in skype - my music in earphones out is lost, but I hear Skype (soung of message), and music is playing on beats speakers, and past 2 seconds - again (in earphones - music, on speakers - nothing).
    So, the problems are: 
    1) How I can set settings for each earphone out (to do it independed or to play different sounds)?
    2) What Can I do with problem with Skype and outs?
    3) Help me, please with settings in Traktor, because at Native Instruments forum I didn't receive resolve of my problem...
    And problem with Traktor is:
    I can't to set each earphone out for playing each deck in Traktor.

    I have the same problem. I was however able to install 9i. Then I was able to use the 9i Installer to install the 8.17 software. But I can not run the 8.17 Database Configuration Assistant. It will not start same as the 8.17 setup.exe.

    I am having problem with my keyboard setup. When clicking the option key (alt) and a number key no symbols appear. Instead the computer gives away a beep. If I view the Keyboard viewer the symbols appear correct. I have created a new user and tried logged in as the new user. Then the symbols appear instead of the beep. What strange settings can I have made?

    I seemed to have a folder in my users Library folder called KeyBindings and a file in there called DefaultKeyBinding.dict. When removing this everything was back to normal. So seems as though the file was steeling my option key mapping. Not good.

  • Problem with Multiserver setup in LMS4.01

    Hello,
    we have a problem with a Multiserver setup in LMS4.01.The devices that should be manged in the slave server stay in unmanaged state.
    Our goal configuation is:
    Server-1   = DCR-Master
    Managed devices = 4200
    Apllications = RME, CM, IPM
    Server-2 = DCR-Slave
    Managed devices = 150 (this number is a subset of the 4200 devices on Server-1)
    Applications = DFM + HUM
    We created on the master-server a user-defined group with 150 critical devices and we configured a Master-Slave Setup as described in the documentation:
    - Master Server - creating a peer user
    - Slave Server - Creating a system identify user (with the same name/password as the peer user on the master server)
    - Master + Slave Server - Creating certificate on slave + master server and import these certificates to each other
    - Master Server - Enabling DCR-Master mode
    - Slave Server - Enabling DCR-Slave mode
    - Slave Server - Enabling at device allocation settings the functions <Inventory Mgmt>, <Fault Mgmt> and <Performance Mgmt> only
    - Slave Server – Creating policy configuration for device allocation for the user-defined critical device group only
    When I create the policy configuration on the slave server I can see all devices in the DCR and I can also see the user-defined group with the critical devices that I created on the master server. So there  shouldn't be a problem with certifiactes or the peer/system identify users.
    Now I would expect that I see the 150 imported devices in the slave server in a managed state. But when I check “Inventory> Device Administration> Manage Device State” in the slave server I see all 4200 devices in unmanaged state. And this looks wrong.
    Any ideas about it?

    Nope. No solution from anyone. I had been fighting with it with several SAP Notes but not yet success. I opened a ticket with SAP but no solution yet.
    I think it caused by our already existing SSL and integration with federated Portal.
    I don't have any system with the same software to compare.
    I followed all related notes by the book. My system was upgraded from BW 3.0B to NW04s SR1 SP Stack 10 then new Java add-in installation with usage BI-JAVA & EP SP Stack 10 .
    I will conquer this some day- Wish me luck!

  • Volume problem with Desktop Theatre 5.1 DTT2200

    Hi,
    I'm experiencing problems with my Desktop Theatre 5.1 DTT2200's volume. It goes up and down with no sense. Doesn't matter if I'm watching a movie, listening to music, playing games or whatever. The speaker system is connected to a SB Live! Sound card but even if I disconnect it and I use the onboard sound plugs it is still happenning the same problem.
    Can anyone help me with this?

    I Have the same problem, really a shame cause the soundquality is very good, but if i have too keep adjusting the volume it's not really serving it's purpose.
    The potmeter of the volumecontrol is malfunctioning. You could try disasssembling it and clean it but that didn't work for me till yet. Best is to replace the potmeter but it is impossible to find a replacement. I'm told it's a very (too) cheap component unsuitable for frequent use so i think Creative shouldn't had used it in the first place. I'm told it's a ct. component fot the far east.
    I contacted Creative but they can't supply me with a substitution, either a potmeter or volumecontrol.
    The volume control can't be found elsewhere because Creative designed their own connector i think.
    Guess i have to annoy the crap out of myself before i buy another set.

  • Timezone problem with Desktop 6.2 calandar and outlook 2007 after HotSync

    After recently being upgraded to Desktop 6.2 I have a problem with Hotsync Palm-calendar and outlook 2007.
    When I create a new appointment in outlook 2007 and next do a HotSync it is stored in PalmTungsten-E2 calendar with a timezone CEST (=2 hours earlier than it should be).
    At least I won't be late for these appointments, but its a bit annoying.
    I already tapped and untapped the box -New events use time zones- in the Calendar Preferences, but that does not help.

    I had already tried that option and it gave no good result.
    Yesterday I bought KeySuite from Chapure and now everything works fine again.
    I do regret a bit I upgraded to PalmDesktop 6.2 because that was the start of my problems. The reason for updating to 6,2 was that I wanted to make use of outlook 2007 instead of palmCalender.

  • Problem with Desktop sync with Torch 9810

    I recently acquired a Torch 9810 (upgrading from a Curve 8900).
    Sometimes, when I try to sync the Torch using my Macintosh (OS 10.6.8) I have the following problems:
    1.  When backing up calendars the desktop software warns me that if I continue 487 entries will be deleted on my desktop computer.  But I have the Blackberry and my Mac iCal program set so as not to delete old files.  There seems not to be an option just to update the Blackberry and leave my desktop computer alone.  The choice seems simply to sync or not to sync.  How can I ask Blackberry Desktop to modify my handheld device ONLY?
    2.  If I try to cancel a "sync" functions, sometimes the program just hangs, then I have to use "Force Quit."
    3.  Then when I reconnect the Blackberry the Mac OS tells me the Blackberry memory is corrupted and I should re-format the disk.
    I did not have this problem with my Curve 8900.  What is happening?  How can I prevent this from happening again?

    It's working fine internally, it's also working fine when users are outside of our office.
    All other functions in Lync are working fine.

    How does the Lync client connect the shared content?
