Problem with message output ME9F

Hi All,
I am using T-code ME9F - Message Output: Purchase Orders in PRE module to get Purchase Orders in pdf format.
In the pdf file, the text formatting gets lost, there are breaks in the text, even in the middle of the words.
e.g.:
in SAP:
are applicable
in the pdf file:
are ap
plicable
Does anyone know, why this happens, and if there is a way to solve it? (Now I have to convert each and every document to word, copy the text again, format it, and convert the document back to pdf)
Many thanks in advance!
Virág

Virag buddy, we on AS Java dont have T-codes I guess your question is in wrong section, must be MM?
cheers

• Problem with Excel output format

Hi Guys,
I am creating a report in XML Publisher (not standalone). I am facing some problems could anyone please help me to figure out the issues.
Is it possible to have all three output format (PDF, HTML & EXCEL) exact (same aligned) only by creating a single RTF Template? I am facing the problem with Excel output format the output format of excel is taking excels cell formatting.
Example Numeric fields --> Right Aligned, text fields --> Left Aligned
One more issue with excel is -ve(negative) values are getting displayed in red and in brackets like ($13) (with red color).
Our client want excel output on priority.
Is there any limitation for excel output format of reports?
It is very urgent for us please help.
Any help would be highly appreciated.
Thanks,

Hi Mahi,
Thanks for your response. But i could not understand how can we write wrapper program could you please give some light on this or provide some link it would be helpful for me:-)
I have read that blog for excel limitations but i have more question?
1) What about the negative values?
if any field is displaying negative amount then excel not displaying right value for that:(
2)How can we align header or data?
Do XMLP with EBS provide any solution for formatting in excel?
3) If for the alignment of numeric value we concatenate them with any special character then how can we perform calculation that field?
Here are so many formatting issues do we need to write any code in xml for that?
Please help.
Many Thanks,

• Problem with RTPExport output video files

Hi, I have a problem with RTPExport output video files. One side streams H263/RTP(AVTransmit2.java) and other write this steam to a file by RTPExport.java. When network conditions are ideal, output video file has same fps and same number of frames like original file. Problem occures, when theres packet lost in network, then output file has different fps,and also has less frames like original video(because it didnt write missing frames to file, and thats why it get shorter). Pls how can I achieve output file that will have the same fps like original one? How to write to file an identical copy of what I can see while receiveing video with AVReceive2.java? Its there a way to modifi rtpexport or avreceiver to do this? Thanks a lot!

Problem occures, when theres packet lost in network, then output file has different fps,and also has less frames like original video(because it didnt write missing frames to file, and thats why it get shorter). Okay, first off, the second file is smaller on purpose. RTP intentionally drops packets that are old/out of order in order to make sure real-time video stays as close to real time as it can. This is by design, so there's really nothing that can be done about it.
How to write to file an identical copy of what I can see while receiveing video with AVReceive2.java? Technically speaking, what you're getting in the RTPExport is exactly what you got on the receiving end. Any frames that are dropped during transmission will not be seen by the receiver, nor saved by the receiver.
Pls how can I achieve output file that will have the same fps like original one? I'm not 100% sure that you can, but, you can give the following idea a try. I make no guarentees that it'll work, but it should work for you...
[http://java.sun.com/javase/technologies/desktop/media/jmf/2.1.1/solutions/RTPConnector.html]
That example is an example of a "custom transport layer" for RTP connections. Essentially, it's some code that's handed the RTP packets on the transmission end, and it's expected to deliver those RTP packets on the other end. And it doesn't care about how they get from A to B, only that they do.
If you were to replace the UDP socket in that example with a TCP socket, you would be guarenteed not to drop packets due to network reasons. Every RTP packet you were handed by the transmitter, you would then hand to the receiver. There is no guarentee that none of the packets would be cast away as "old" by the RTP protocol itself, but there's also no guarentee any of them would be. It's a crap-shoot at best, but it's certainly worth a try.

• Problem with message choice

Hi, all, I have a problem with message choice because when I get the value it returns the value of index row.
For example I have this message choice:
<messageChoice model="${bindings.Dept}" readOnly="false" required="no" name="dpt">
<contents childData="${bindings.Dept.displayData}">
<option model="${uix.current}"/>
</contents>
</messageChoice>
If I select the first data of message choice it returns 0, if I select the second data it returns 1 and so on. But I want to return the value of field dept and in message choice I show the dept_name field.
Can anyone tell me how do this? It's urgent because I haven't much time to do this work.
Thanks, Matteo.

Matteo,
Maybe this works for you as well:
<messageChoice model="${bindings.DeptLOV}" name="dpt">
<contents childData="${bindings.DeptList.rangeSet}">
<option value="${uix.current.dept}" text="${uix.current.dept_name}"/>
</contents>
</messageChoice>
where DeptLOV is a LOV List type binding, and DeptList is a Range type binding that is based upon the Dept iterator. If one of these three does not exist in your project yet, you should create them manually via the Structure palette.

Hi,
To know the correct error Take the Inbound Payload from MONI and Test it in Mapping Test TAB. then u will come to know the exact error.
Procedure to take the Payload
goto MONI-Double click on MessageInbound Message ( CENTRAL ) --Payloads ---Double click on MainDocument ( application/xml ) -Just Right Click on the second window-View Source
then now Copy this and paste it in Mapping Test and Execute.

• Problem with message count

hello ,
I have problem with message count, in my inbox there are more than 0 messages but i got result of
Folder inbox = store.getFolder("Inbox")
int c =inbox.getMessageCount()
of c is 0
i.e i got c as zero rather than 5.

I am seeing the same thing and I agree with MathiasF's observation.  My count seems to increase when I do a search for mail on the server.  This has happened previously (iOS 5.x) but ending the Mail app always fixed it.  The only way I can correct the count now is if I turn off sync for Mail on the Exchange account and re-enable.  This clears my mail and causes my phone to go out and redownload.  Rebooting and resetting the iPhone has not helped.
I'm on Sprint - 32GB White iPhone 4S running iOS 6.0 (10A403)

• Strange Problems with Messages

I've been experiencing some strange problems with Messages.
1) Sometimes my messages are displayed on screen. I type into the input box and hit enters. Then message disappears and does not show above in the chat box. I later find out that the message was delivered yet it doesn't show up in my chat.
2) Sometimes I see duplicate Chat windows on the left rail for the same contact, this is usually in conjuction with error #1.
3) Sometimes I can unable to dlete chat windows. I click the x and it does nothing. I right click and choose Close Chat and it does nothing
4) When searching the left rail for open chats, the app gets really confused and show strange results, when deleting the search the chat window gets really odd order, nothing to do with sort or recent chats

Nobody else is experiencing these problems?

• Problem with PO output print format

Hello all,
I have a problem with PO print output. When I am creating a new PO and taking the printout, the printout is coming perfectly fine.
But when I am making any changes to the PO and then trying to taking the printout one more time, the system is not showing ANY data in the output. It is showing only the data that is hardcoded.
Our ABAPers have tried to debug this issue, but it looks like there is an issue with the SAP standard program itself. I have also raised an SAP OSS note but till now didn't get any reply from them.
Please suggest me if I am missing any customization activity in this case. I have to resolve this issue ASAP.
Please provide some of your valuable suggestions. I will be thankful to you all.
Regards,
Umakanth.

Ramesh,
When I am taking the print of the purchase order after making some changes, the system is not showing data like, material number, vendor number, Bill to address, delivery address, quantity, etc. There are some hardcoded data like country United Kingdom since my client belongs to UK. So only this hardcoded data is displaying in the print preview of the PO after making changes and also the printout.
The output types are triggered in the change mode. I have given a temporary solution to the user saying that once the changes are done to the PO, delete the output types that were triggered automatically in change mode. And enter the output types again manually and fill all the relevant data. In this way the CHANGE field is not ticked and when we save the PO, the printout is coming perfect.
This is a temporary solution as it is practically not possible for the users to enter the output types manually for a lot of POs.
Also Ramesh, I didn't understand your statement "Also check whether the Fine Tuned Control is maintained for Operation 2  under Message Types of PO". Please tell me the importance of this and where do we check this?
Regards,
Umakanth.

• Problem with PO Output for Communication

Hi,
i have a problem with the pdf in R12.1.3. The rtf file we have is used in R11.5.10 and is working properly but after we sat up the R12 environment and we started the testing we can now see that the system don't create any pdf documents in View Document or when we sending email to supplier.
When we check the log we just get the error message "genDoc() : Exceptionjava.lang.Exception: Error while generating PDF :null
java.lang.Exception: Error while generating PDF :null"
Any one having an idéa on what it could be. Is there major changes between R11 and R12 when it comes to BI Publisher.
Thanks in advance!
Lena Kudahl

Hi Lena,
Upon upgrading to release 12.1.3, the views used are not proper and cause issues.
This is fixed in Patch 10388305:R12.PO.B.
There are a few critical issues when moving to 12.1.3 -
Note 1358356.1 - Recommended Patches for Purchase Order and Requisition Processing
This note outlines some of the top issues - and recommends the patches.
The exception however does seem to point to the ICX and XDO Numeric profiles. Please ensure these are set at the site level.
Another common cause for this type of failure could be related to special characters - although it would show a message like this usually -
genDoc() : PoPDFExceptionoracle.apps.po.communicate.PoPDFException: PO_PDF_XML_FAILED
oracle.apps.po.communicate.PoPDFException: PO_PDF_XML_FAILED
If you are seeing this - there is the following note -
Note 1346198.1 - PO Output For Communicate Failed With ORA-31061
This note describes how certain database versions (with a specific patch) can have an event set in the init.ora file which will allow the xml parser to
take action against special characters. Its a nice alternative to having to debug the PO Output for communication.
This note is very good - having screen prints - of how to debug the OPP - from a purchasing perspective.
Note 1401101.1 - R12 How To Generate The XML And OPP Debug Log For PO Output For Communication?
Hope these help.
Thanks,
Mike

• FCP Problem with Firewire output to external monitor and speaker ???Help

i have a g5 powermac. the problem is when using Final cut pro 4hd. when i output my work through firewire to my external monitor and speaker i have a problem with the audio signal. Theres feedback/noise/hiss from the speakers. The firewire connects to DSR-11 vtr deck which feeds my monitor and speakers. it only happens when in FCP is set to A/V firewire output. does not happen if Video output is not set to firewire.
I Diagnosis is that it is not my dsr-11 deck or firewire i've ruled those out. The problem is either FCP software or Hardware problem with my G5
Does anyone have a similar problem. please respone, i will try to answer any respones,
Thanks

CaptM
From the firewire that feeds the dsr-11. on the output, i use s-video cable to my monitor (sony pvm-14l) and High Quality rca cables thet feed the audio to the Roland Speakers.
I've changed all wires and still have audio problem. I,ve changed my Dsr-11 deck to my camcorder and still have the problem.
If any of u guys use FCP The problem happens When I select view> external Monitor > and select firewire for Audio/ and video. I have never changed my editing habits, something just went wrong with the signal, I think its a Hardware problem with the firewire connection. I'm Going to have to bring this to a Apple Service Center In my local area one day.

• Problem with multiple output for software simulated project

When a software simulated project in captivate is published more than thrice, the output is not generated properly, i.e not in-line with the project. Is this a problem with my system or due to some settings in captivate which is not activated?

Thanks for the suggestions Malcolm,
They're very handy app's for sure, but unfortunately they didn't fix the problem.
Detour DID overide the routing for iChat's general bleeps & noises, but not the audio stream from video conferences (which is the problem I want to fix).
If anyone has any other suggestions for fixes, I'd appreciate it!
Thanks again,

• Problems with Flash output using Safari

Hi All,
does anyone know the solution to getting the flash output to work with safari?  The project plays properly on Firefox and Chrome.  On safari, my custom menus come up just the same as on the DVD version of the project, but the flash videos do not play - just a grey screen.  Interestingly, the duration of the clips is set correctly in the player, it just doesn't start the video. The flash files play correctly when loaded directly into Adobe flash player, so I am assuming there is a compatibility issue with the generated XML files or index.html.  The code inside the index.html seems very old and refereences macromedia.com and a windows .CAB file.  I have shortened the file names and eliminated any offending characters (all are in the form "Chapter_1").
Anyway, this is stopping me delivering a project on USB stick for a client - seems to be a common issue when searching the web, but no solutions.  Any assistance or ideas would be greatly appreciated.
I have the full CC (2014), but still have Encore CS6 installed for DVD production.
Regards,
Mark

I read the thread you mentioned and all others relating to this issue - seems to be a number of people having the same issue over the last 3 years, but none have posted a successful conclusion.  I did see the post about strange characters in file names causing issues in the XML - I did also look at this and change all my content file names to innocuous "Chapter_X" & etc.  The paths to the "Sources" directory are all relative and the project works correctly on Chrome and Firefox.  Just safari is not working.  Agree, it could be permissions, but I have checked all security settings and the Abobe Flash player (with is called up by the script to display the videos in the browser) is specifically permitted to "Allow Always" in the security settings.  I can't help thinking there is a problem with the generated XML that safari is not behaving correctly - it wouldnt be the first time that Apple doest things using their interpretation of a standard.
However, after all that, the generated code from Encore doesn't result in a working local project that I can send to a client and expect to work.
