Problem with synchronisation of component settings

Dear All,
We have newly installed a new enviroment with Siebel 8.1.1.2 Public sector.
Everything is running fine but I see one strange thing.
Of the object managers the parameters differ from what I see in the GUI and in SRVRMGR. The values in the SRVRMGR are correct and working.
For example for the component EAIObjMgr_nld the Security Adapter Mode shows AD in the GUI and LDAP in SRVRMGR. I know for sure the it is using LDAP for this parameter.
I tried al Synchronisation buttons in the GUI with out any change.
Who can help me?

Would need to look into this to advise. We normally use command line for everything and just don’t use the GUI anymore.
The synchronize button is not the issue. This button updates s_srm_action with the info from siebns.dat.

Sorry for hijacking your thread as put by Dahveed. However I have resolved my issue so I thought I'll share it with the rest of you.
I checked for the error 3194 in youtube and I found some good videos that tell you how to resolve the problem. The issue I was facing was the actually (I know because I have resolved it now) the communication between my computer and apple server which can be fixed as following (if you are using windows):
There is file in following directory:
C:\Windows/system32/drivers/etc/hosts
The file normally has no extension and it is in file format. You need to open it and make sure that every line that has apple server id starts with "#". In my case one of the line started directly with the ip address and then gs.apple.com.
Perform your restore/update after that and hopefully it should be resolved (mine did).

Problem with FLVPlayback and component

First of all I had problem with control component. they are not working so i just named that ppo and change the visibility to false to get rid of problem!

what are you calling the '..controlbar' and what are you calling the '...control component'?

remove the click listener so you can only click once. then you may need to wait if testing online.

Problem with showing palette component which contains swing components

hello, I have found a simple problem with jdeveloper IDE but this simple problem delays my project and it make late a big project so help me please. I want to add somes swing components to a JFrame
but when I try to show the palette component as usual I didn't find the swing components like habit.

Problems with synchronising fotos

Is there a way to upload foto albums manually?
For the moment I have the following problem.
1) When I upload a new foto album I'm forced to synchronise. But then all my music is gone. I do add my music manually. But that is overruled when I have to synchronise my foto albums. How to solve this one?
2) When I want to delete a photo album, that particular map remains on my ipod but empty. How to solve this?

Even when unchecking the box of sync music I keep having the same problem.
I synchronise my pictures (music sync is unticked as I do that manually) and all music and videos are gone.
Then the other issue with empty photo-albums is also still there. If I untick a box of the album I want to delete afterwards the album is still on my ipod but empty.
Normally the album should be completely deleted aswell.
How to solve this one?
Or shall I reset my Ipod and only use a full synchronisation for everything?
Then again the problem with the empty albums is still there.

Problem with changing iPod's settings (iTunes problem)

I got a brand new iPod Video 30gb, been using before that a 4th gen ipod 20gb.
Now the problem with the itunes, i can't use it's auto-sync option since my sister is using an ipod as well .. so i need to use the "manually manage music and videos" option
but everytime that i choose that option and try to apply it, the itunes stucks for about 2 mins, and then gives me the next error message:

Problem with sound input/output settings

Hello--
Last night, my iBook suddenly stopped playing any sounds at all: itunes, CDs, etc, won't play at all. I looked in system preferences/sound, and the computer told me that there are no input or output devices at all. What's more, the sound seems to me on permanent mute, and it won't allow me to change it at all (F4 and F5 functions just show a "mute" sign under the volume bar). Is this a problem with the software, hardware, or what? Thanks in advance for any advice,

Problem with updating Time component of an Oracle Date field in ALBPM

Hi.
I'm new to ALBPM and am experiencing the following problem I hope someone can take the time to help out with.
I'm using a Date and Time Picker element in a Form to enter the date and time information. Within ALBPM the date and time representation appears correct as it prints out what I've entered. The logMessage displays this information in the form "YYYY-MM-DD HH24:mm:ss+TimezoneOffset". The BPM Object that stores this value is referencing an Oracle table that has an equivalent Date field. My problem is that it appears to only update the Date component.
I've also tried using the native Time variable type within ALBPM be adding an variable of type Time to the BPM Object and setting the result Database object equal to this Time variable with the same result. The Time variable was declared with Timestamp precision (take this to mean both Date and Time components).
Has anyone come across this problem? I'm using ALBPM Studio 6.0 M3 as my release.

I must have deselected the "Use Timestamp for Date columns" in the Advanced tab within the External Resource definition for my database at some point in time. Enabling this option fixed my problem - silly me.

Problem with commas in user settings in 4.0, WS

There seems to be a problem returning user settings with GetUserSettings. The setting that contains a comma is being chopped.

I believe the problem is the following:
You have an app that calls directly into Plumtree.dll to set preferences. Those preferences may have non-alphanumeric characters, which are stored fine in the database.
You then want to retrieve these preferences through the EDK/GDK. The issue is, when EDK/GDK encounters non-alphanumeric characters, it encodes them using %u encoding before sending them over the wire to be stored in the DB. So, the data that's stored in DB is encoded, then it's sent back over the wire to EDK/GDK, which unencodes the prefs, and gives them to the calling app.
If the EDK/GDK encounters unencoded prefs sent over the wire, the behavior is undefined -- it's quite possible that's what you're seeing.
Basically, the trick is to store and retrieve preferences the same way -- either store them & retrieve them via direct calls to Plumtree API, or store them and retrieve them via EDK/GDK. If you have to store the prefs via the API and retrieve them in EDK/GDK, you HAVE to encode them the same way the EDK/GDK would encode them if it stored them.
BTW, what are the exact versions of the portal and EDK/GDK you are using?

Problem with importing software component versions from SLD to I.R

I have some problem in importing my software component versions from SLD to IR. While connecting to SLD it is using the port 50100. Instead of 50000. We are manually correcting it while connecting to SLD. but when we try to import the Software Component Versions from the SLD to IR. It is saying no objects available in 50100. It is not connecting to port 50000. Pls any body help me with some solution. Thanks in advance.

In the Integration Builder page, Click on the Administration and check the following parameters to make sure they are pointing to right SLD system and port.

Also check with Tcode SLDCHECK too

Problem with reset to factory settings.

I have a go notebook with the product number D1E89UA#ABA. I am wanting to reset this computer to factory settings but it won't let me. It has windows 8 on the computer so I click change pc settings and go down to general. Then I scroll down to where it says remove everything and reinstall windows. Then I click get started the I click next, then it says preparing. Then I click on fully clean the drive because I want it to be 100% factory settings. Then I have it plugged into the charger and click reset to reset the computer. Then every single time it says there's a problem no changes are made. Then I click check solutions to this problem and it never pops up any solutions. Please help!!

Problems with Exporting Tabs - Component Export

Hi,
i'm having the following problem.
i have two applications in the same workspace. application 630 and 640.
now i try to export the tabs from app 640 in "Component Export".
in the export file i search for
wwv_flow.g_flow_id := nvl(wwv_flow_application_install.get_application_id,640);
and replace it with
wwv_flow.g_flow_id := 630;
now i'm going to application 630 and import the file. everything is fine and the tabs are here.
but in App 640 the tabs are all deleted!?
what is going wrong?

Thanks for that - unfortunately I have lost disk number 1 and can only find disk number 2. Honestly, I never thought I'd need them, and they've been packed and unpacked at least 4 times since I bought the computer.
I am trying to get the disk from mac friends - I'll see what happens. If anyone knows how to get hold of these old disks, or another work-around, I'd be very grateful...

IPhone 6 problem with Wifi/Http Proxy settings being lost

In Settings/Wifi, you can set up a Manual Http Proxy
I have noticed a bug only seen on iPhone 6, where it doesn't store the Manual Http Proxy setting you enter.
e.g. You enter a Server and a Port number. If you then press Wi-Fi in top left to exit this screen, it doesn't store your settings and the Manual settting is not there when you come back into the screen.
This does not happen on the following devices
iPhone 5 with iOS 8.1
iPad Mini with iOS 7.1.2
iPad Air with iOS 8.1
It seems to be an iPhone 6 issue, not an iOS 8 issue, as it works in iOS 8 on other devices.
Anyone else noticed this?
Note: This "Manual Http Proxy" setting is used by Web Testers (such as me) when trying to use the program called Fiddler to setup access to development servers (on PC and Mac you edit the hosts file to achieve same thing)

I 've met a similar issue. It's about Auto proxy instead of Manual proxy in your case.
I solved it by chose 'Forget this network' then search that wifi, input password connect again.
I guess the reason might be the new iPhone's network connection is restored from back-up of old iPhone?
Anyway, reconnection solved my problem. Hope it works for you too!

Problems with my Z10 APN settings

Hi folks, My first post and I am hoping for inspirational help!! I have a lovely Z10 which I brought sim free in the UK. Whilst in the UK, both Vodafone and O2 worked fine with the phone. However, I am now in Kazakhstan for work and the phone just won't play :-( The APN cannot be altered (appears greyed out) and I understand that this is locked by the service provider, rather than by BB. My provider in KZ is Kcell. Now, KCell are part of the problem!! According to their Helpline, we just need to take the phone to one of their centres and they will change the sim card settings and then we can alter the APN. However, having trekked across town to the centre, we have been told that this isn't true and the APN is blocked from being changed by BB!!! So, my questions are: Is ANY of the info from Kcell correct? Is this 'lock/block' the work of BB? Does anyone know if a different network in KZ is better for BB? Anyone any ideas why my lovely Z10 is paralysed in KZ?? It works if I 'roam', but £25 a day is just unrealistic!!! Best wishes and appreciation for any guidance that could be provided. CB99

T42 problem with after restore factory settings

Hi, can enybody help my please, I am helpless....
I was reinstalled my T42 to factory settings and update everithing with "system update" utility. I have WIN XP SP3.
I have very big complications with wifi connection ( maybe only with WPA2). I traied reinstal all site adapter driver for 11 b/g Wireless LAM Mini PCI Adapter (new or old), use install or uninstall Think Vatage Acces Connection....problems still.
The connections is after restart computer OK and quickly connect. But when i lost connection for little while ore try repair connection, the wifi connection ist lost a try take IP adress for long time and never taked it. Only restart can help. Sometimes i cant see any wifi networks but the LED wifi symbol light.
Now I dont know what to do, I traied everithing. Thanks for help.

Have you tried going back to SP2? Quite a few people have reported networking issues with SP3....
