Problems using Parameters

Hi im trying to contribute documents on UCM using parameters because my legacy applications wont support webservice and because this can be the most simple way.
Reading services documentation i found CHECKIN_UNIVERSAL
If i use this url:
http://localhost/idc/idcplg?IdcService=CHECKIN_UNIVERSAL&dSecurityGroup=Public&primaryFile=C:/test.txt&dDocAuthor=AUTOR&dDocTitle=TITLE
I get this error message:
Content item 'DEMO_000002' was not successfully checked in. The content item must have a primary file.
I did exactly like the documentation.
What`s missing?

The check in services require an actual file as a payload along with the call. Simply using parameters in the url will not work for a check in. Unless you want to do a metadata only check in?
In which case if your server is configured for that you can add this addtional parameter to your url: createPrimaryMetaFile=true

  • Problem using parameters in dynamic image loading

    Hello experts!!!
    I am using Crystal Reports 2008.  I am trying to make use of a class servlet application that returns an image based on a number of parameters.  I have put a formula behind a default image that should access the servlet and change the image at runtime.
    This works fine in the CR2008 designer.  However when it is published to my webapp, it doesn't work. 
    The problem is that for some reason, something somewhere is removing the '?' before the parameters in the URL.
    My formula

    Has anybody got any ideas of what to do with the question mark and how to get the image to change properly?????? Like it is doing in the report designer!

    I have a problem with Petstore GenericCatalogDAO. java. The problem is the behaviour of the resultset object when retrieving data from the database.Below are two synareos one that
    works (when) hard coded and one that does not work when parameter values passed into the the result set.

  • Error while Driving a view using parameters from other view

    Hi,
    I have created a report with streamlist and Barchart view.Driving option is used in streamlist to drive the barchart. The driving works well untill i dont use any filters in the Streamlist.Once i use parameters in streamlist , the driving works only for the default values set.When Second set of values are chosed for the parameter,the values are displayed correctly , but once they are selected for driving,the current values are replaced by the results of the default parameter settings.
    I have already done the tutorials for driving and it worked well untill i use filters in the main view,from where the driving is done.
    I would really appreciate if someone could give a solution for this problem.

    Login as i.e. sys as sysdba. Standard password is change_on_install.
    Or you can login in using user that has CREATE VIEW WITH ADMIN OPTION and then grant CREATE VIEW privilege to user to want.

  • Using parameters in a select query sometimes not working

    I use parameters throughout my code - usually without problem, but for some reason in one case it does not return a result. When I modify the querystring to contain the value instead of using parameters it works. Is it because I'm secting a clob? or is it because I'm using a 9i ODP.net dll against a 10g database? this is c# 2.0
    here's the source code that does not work for me - REQUEST_DATA is a clob:

    I figured it out. thank you for your help in pointing me in the right direction.
    the problem was there was a trailing space in the data.
    when the data for that table is numeric for every record, the query allows me to leave out the single quotes. Trailing spaces do not seem to cause the database to see it as non-numeric - leaving out the quote still finds the record even if there is a trailing space.
    but when I put in the quote, it is not an exact string match, so it could not find the record. sometimes this flexibility gets me into trouble :\

  • How to use parameterized statements with labSQL?

    Hi everybody,
    I have a big problem with labSQL. Every statement or query I have to use in my program works correctly, but I have a performance problem when writing my data to the database. The problem is the handling of the SQL statements by the DB. The solution will be the use of parameterized statements with labSQL.
    The manual for NI Labview Database Connectivity Toolkit provides such information, but there are large differences to labSQL, and I don't get the clue. Is anybody able and would be so kind to help me? If someone has an example for using parameterized SQL statements with labSQL or the ADO methods for such stuff, please be so kind to share it with me.

    Thank you very much for your help. I already had set up the correct SQL statement and created the parameters but got errors when executing the command object. After some tries I found that neither the SQL statement nor the parameters were the source of the error, as I had expected first.
    The problem was that I was sending the wrong data type to the execute method of the command object. It expected some variant input for the parameters. I send an array of strings, which caused an error. I casted that array to variant with the same result. But a single string to variant worked well (with only one parameter in the SQL statement). The easy solution was to cast all strings to variants, and then build an array out of them. The execute method worked with that. Now the transaction is 4 times faster than before

  • N-Queens Problem Using Stacks Help

    I'm trying to solve the N-Queens problem using Stacks. Quite frankly, I'm completely lost.
    Here's the pseudocode from the book:

    First off I'll address this:

        }Notice the last line of that. I get what you're trying to do, but think about what the compiler sees there. If you have two variables called 'n', one at the class level, and one at the method level, the compiler must have rules so it knows which one you're talking about. And if it follows those rules, then saying 'n' inside that method must always refer to the same n. Otherwise, how would it decide which one you're talking about? The rule here is that it uses the most local variable available to it, which in this case is your method parameter. So 'n = n' is setting the parameter equal to itself. To refer to the class variable n, use "this.n", like so:
    this.n = n;Now that that's settled, let's address some logic. You'll need to figure out whether two Queens share a diagonal. I can think of at least a couple options for that. First, every time you look at a Queen you could loop through the entire board and make sure that if a piece is in r3c4, that no piece is in r2c3,r4c5,r5c6, etc. Or you could create a new variable for your class similar to your 'row' and 'column' variables that tracks the diagonal a piece is in. But that requires some calculating. And remember, there's 2 directions for diagonals, so you'll need 2 diagonal variables.

    So those could be your variables to track diagonals. What I'm noticing in your current code, is that you never change your row and column variables...so every Queen is always at r0c0. You should probably put values for those in your parameters for the constructor, in addition to n. Then the diagonals can be calculated from those.

  • Problem using SmartCard with 2 Certificates stored and SunPKCS11

    Hi,
    I'm trying to access one SmartCard token in Java 1.5 using SunPKCS11 provider for crypt, decrypt and digital signature operations.
    I have 2 certificates stored on Token:
    - CertA;
    - CertB.
    There are also 2 PIN:
    - PIN1;
    - PIN2.
    I use:
    - PIN1 for logging into the token;
    - PIN1 for operation involving CertA;
    - PIN2 for operation involving CertB;
    There is no problem to logging into the token using Java and, without any troubles, I can read certificates and key from the
    cryptographic card.
    There is no problem using CertA for all my operation, but every attempt of using Private Key of CertB (for the same operations) returns with an Exception:

    i have problems using an user defined activity in my owb process flow.

    1. create a script in /tmp called test.sh
    2. chmod +x on the script so it can be executed
    3. Changed the Runtime.properties file under ORACLE_HOME/owb/bin/admin

    It says Log file is available. But i can't find this file. Also i don't know what the problem is.

    Hi,
    solved the problem by myself.
    I had problems with my script. So i insert set -x into the script an executed the pf again. Know i can see whats happening in a log. You can find this log in the job detail window by pressing the blue ! Button when the whole PF (the first entry) is marked.

  • Problems using different scope with useBean

    I've been trying over and over to place the data from my inputForm.jsp in request, session or even application scope and then try to retrieve the data from my process.jsp.
    I can't understand why not the request object (emp) is available in my second jsp file. I'm having the same problem using sessionScope and applicationScope.

    The useBean tag has to be on the page WHERE THE BEAN IS BEING used.
    The jsp:setProperty tag works from request parameters. So it has to be on the page that is RECEIVING the parameters - ie your second page.
    You misspelled jsp:useBean.
    Also your Employee bean must be in a package, and the useBean tag should use its fully qualified package name.
    I will presume that your Employee class has appropriate get/set methods for firstName and lastName - ie getFirstName() and setFirstName()...
    Try this:

  • Problems using the workbench to migrate mysql to Oracle

    Hi.
    I have ran into couple of problems using Oracle workbench
    migration tool.
    I was wondering if anyone out there has any insight.
    1. If a date field in a mysql table has a default (let's say
    9999-12-31) the script for oracle table will also have
    9999-12-31 as a default field. This doesn't seem to work in
    Oracle because Oracle expects to see something like to_date
    ('9999-12-31','yyyy-mm-dd'). I couldn't find a way to modify
    that in the Workbench.
    2. If a numeric field is defined in the mysql database as
    smallint, the workbench creates a corresponding Oracle field
    as num(250), while oracle would expect the presicion no more
    than 38. Again, I couldn't find a way to fix it in the
    workbench.
    3. If I'm attempting to modify a oracle field's parameters in
    the workbench,it won't let me to move to another table
    without asking "do you want to save the changes" and won't
    move on unless I click on "No".
    I would appreciate any comments on these issues

    Check your trash can on the desktop. The old version is automatically moved to the trashcan. You should be able to move it from the trashcan back to the Apps folder within the iTunes folder. The update that was pushed out was for iBooks to work with iOS 7 not iPhone 5. iOS 7 was released today.

  • Problems using FP Advise Timestamp

    I'm having problems using the timestamp from the FP Advise vi - dates/times way out from current date/time. I am using FP1600 and have FW 3.00.
    I've seen some comments re time sync of the FP Server but not sure what this relates to.

    Sorry for the confusion. The Time Service that the FP-1600 uses is the Lookout Time Synchronization Services. The Lookout Time Syncrhonization services debuted with Lookout 4.0 and shortly thereafter in FieldPoint Explorer 2.0. They are also distributed with later versions of those two products and now with LabVIEW-Data Logging and Supervisory Control module. The set-up of the Time Server is as simple as installing any of the above products. The Time Synchronization Server is installed as a Service and should always be available to any computer or device that is trying to synchronize to it.
    A Time Server is a computer that is running the Lookout Time Synchronization Service as installed by any of the above mentioned products. The primary m
    ethod of configuring a FP-1600 to use the Time Server is the Time Server IP Address assignment box which is located in the window where all of the FP-1600's ethernet parameters is located. It is strongly recommended that the Time Server be assigned a static IP address as the FP-1600 modules do not support DHCP. If you assign a FP-1600 to look at a particular IP address as it's Time Server, and due to DHCP it's changed it's address, then the FP-1600 is unable to synchronize it's clock. An important note is that even when a FP-1600 fails to synchronize it's clock, the delta's on the time-stamps will still be accurate even though the absolute date/time is incorrect.

  • Problem using File sharing  in a small office network

    I have a problem using File sharing on an Imac and Macbook Pro.
    My office has a small network running Windows Small office file server 2003. I have one Windows 2000 PC connected to it and 3 Macs, an 2.4 gHz Intel iMac running Leopard 10.5.6 , a MBP running the same and a Mac Mini running 10.5.
    From the Finder Shared window of the Mac Mini, I can see all the computers on the network. It also used to be the case for the iMac, but the MBP could never see the Windows PC’s, not the server or the Win2000. This wasn’t a big problem as I was communicating between the Macs and using the shared printer on the iMac.
    On Monday Jan 19 the iMac was suddenly unavailable to the other 2 Macs. It was working normally on the Friday. The iMac can access the Mac Mini and copy files to it. The Mac Mini can see the iMac but cannot access it. Even trying to connect as, ends in a failed connection. I have tried rebooting, turning File sharing off and then on again to no avail.
    The iMac now also cannot see the Windows PC’s which it previously could.
    To get files from the MBP for printing, I now copy it to the Mac Mini and acces the folder from the iMac, a very tedious procedure. I don’t know why this happened and am scared that the Mac Mini is going to do the same thing.
    All three computers are also running VMware 2.0 with Windows XP pro, and from VMware the server is visible on all the computers.
    Any help will be much appreciated, I live in a small town in South Africa and the local computer suppliers have no knowledge of the Macs.
    I think that the problem with the iMac may have started after a software upgrade to 10.5.6 but I am not entirely sure.

    Well, you're current method sounds pretty good. But if you want to user a file server, hey go ahead.
    What you want to do when you centralize project files is to keep track of which one is the newest and becareful not to overwrite files with the same name. So you either have to set up individual spaces on the server (separate AFP/FTP folders maybe), or you'll need to run a file checkout service.
    The individual space is cheaper, but it's not much of a difference from backing up to the network drive. Since you have Gigabit connections, you might even opt to save ALL the user files on the server instead of just the project files.
    If you want to run a file checkout service, there's two approaches. You can run a service that can host any kind of file, or you can run a version control system for each kind of application (Photoshop, Word, etc.). Please notice, that as you read further and further along, the methods become more and more expensive and complicated. Once you get to this point, it will be necessary to purchase or build software in addition to the Mac OS X Server package.

  • Huge problem using apple mail while sending email to a group...

    Hey - I am quite confused... apple mail has huge problems using groups with about 150 addresses when writing and sending an email... the writing of emails is nearly impossible. Once the group name is inserted in the addressline (address book in iCloud!), apple mail uses nearly 100% CPU and further writing is nearly impossible. When sending such an email, all addresses are suddenly visible - though the box is NOT checked and the addresses should be hidden... what can I do? I use this feature (sending mails to groups) on a daily basis and cannot accept visible addresses...

    How about next time you send to the group, cc yourself, or include yourself in the group. Then receive the email on the iphone, you can "reply all" in order to send to the group. If you use an imap account, you can make a new folder, call it something like "groups", and save different group emails there for the next time you need to "reply all".

    If your phone is locked to a particular carrier, you must contact them to request they unlock it. Once they've taken care of that and you've followed the instructions to complete the unlock process, you will be able to use the phone elsewhere.
