Problems with Metadata Integrator noClassDefFoundError

Hi,
we have installed Business Obejcts on three different hosts.
1. Host: SQL Server 2008 for the repositories
2. Host: Business Objects Enterprise XI 3.1 SP3
3. Host: Data Services 3.2 incl. Metadata Integrator + Job Server + Access Server
If I try to configure the Metadata Integrator, I got the following error at the command prompt in the background
Exception in thread "worker" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: com/crystaldecisions/sdk/exception/SDKException

Have I forgotten to install something?
I have already seen lesson "To configure Metadata Integrator after Installing SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise". But I am not sure what to do.
Please help me.

Do I have to install the BOE SDK Runtime on my Host for Data Services? I have found on the service marketplace a downloadfile with cdlabel.asc "BOBJ ENTERPRISE XI 3.1 SP3 NET SDK Runtime SP3". Should I install this package?
Which is the correct path for the BOE SDK if I don't have to install the sdk? I have installed Data Serive under the default path
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Business Objects"?

Problems with accounting integration cProjects

Dear Sirs,
I have some problems with accounting integration between my cProjects 3.10 and my ECC 5.0 system. I have followed the steps in the configuration guide as good I as can. However when I create a project, and go the accounting tab I get the following error:
The project is unknown in Accounting
Message no.
DPR_FIN_GECCO006
Diagnosis
Etc..
In the Cockpit for Controlling Integration I can see the following error at the time the project is created, and a new similar error is created when the status is set to released replicated.
No company code could be determined. Message No IAOM_CPROJECTS001.
In this message there is a reference to the fact that the company code can be set in the assigned model order for CPR1. I have created such a model order with a reference to company code 0100 for CPR1. However this does not seem to do the job.
I seem to be stuck, as I have tried every possible and unpossible lead to get any further. Any input for someone with the knowhow is highly appreciated.

It sounds strange, normally after create a model order and assigned to the scenario CPR1, then the determination of company code should work.
logic: CPR1 -> model order -> company code
Would you please try the note 875275, if it can help.
In case that it does not help, you can eithter use the Badi method to set it hardly, or create a customer message to let SAP check it.

code like following:
      ls_attribute-data_element     = space.
      ls_attribute-value            = '1000'.

Problems with metadata in Bridge CS3

We have a couple of problems:
Problem 1: Every time images are rotated we are losing the embedded metadata?
When an image arrives from a photographer and shows an orientation of 90° in the camera exif metadata (as seen in Bridge) we have to rotate it (or just resave it in Photoshop) so that it appears the right way up. This causes it to lose its metadata.
Obviously if we do all the rotating BEFORE we input metadata then this isnt a huge problem.
However it is a problem if the images arrive with metadata that we would like to keep.
Problem 2 Weve noticed that Bridge doesnt always write metadata to a file across the server. Weve run tests to check this: we write metadata to a file using Bridge but when we open the image in Photoshop its not there. Is this a known fault?

According problem 1: this is not normal behavior and you could try first to restart Bridge holding down option key to reset the preferences.
But if you experience this also on the server I don't know if this solutions works. And according to problem 2, you should open a case on Adobe support using the little contact button top right on this page, not many users (including me) of this forum are using a server or know a lot about of that workflow :-(
You could try a forum search also on the word server (Search for forum only works when you are on the mainpage with al the post for Bridge for some strange reason...)

Export Metadata for Deski Report failed with Metadata Integrator

Hi everybody,
We installed 2 weeks ago BusinessObject Data Integrator 3.0. As we also have BusinessObject XI 3.0, we have installed the component Metadata Integrator on our BOXI 3.0 server. We configured it successfully and the Metadata Integrator program was added to our BOXI repository.
Then, we executed the Metadata Integrator program from the CMC console. The job run successfully but when we looked at the log file we realized that the program was not able to create the metadata for the BO Deski reports in our BODI repository whereas it was able to do it for our BO Universes. Then when we access the Impact and Lineage Analysis tool from the BODI management console, we can only see the metadata for our BO Universes but not for our Deski reports !!

The "Member/Alias" problem is solved by using the command "REPALIASMBR" and the "parent/child" is solved in two steps:
1 - Use the command "INDENTGEN" to indent on your flat file
2 - Run an custom script (in my case PERL) on your file to transform that "indent" into parent child (the member indented is the parent of the previous ones)
Another solution is to use "OlapUnderground Outline Extractor" that do all that work for you.

Problem with Xelsius Integration

Hi,
I have installed licenced version of Business Objects Edge Client tools and also integration kit and Xelsius. When I open the xelsius and trying to connect through manage connection - Data manager -Query As A Web service - getting problem with URL ,which URL do I need to use ?? and also I tried using SAP netweaver connection selected query and its throwing #2302 error,searched forums and found few answers for this error but still not able to fix the issue.Please let me know how to connect to xelsius to QAAWS and also to SAP netweaver connection.

Problems with metadata being changed.

Recently I started getting a down arrow appearing on 'all new' imported images, informing me that Metadata has been changed in Lightroom. As I import directly from the CF card directly into LR, as a DNG copy and have been doing so for years with absolutely no problem, I don't know what has suddenly changed? I rang Adobe for support and after getting remote assisted help finally got it sorted, or so I thought. Today I imported some new RAW images, which appeared arrow free, (although I now see that arrows have reappeared on other recent 'unedited' imports), but as soon as I did any editing in the develop mode the arrows appeared again and I now have to manually save the metadata changes to disk which I have never done before. Can anyone help me with this issue?

People have been complaining about spurious metadata-change indicators for years, since at least LR 3. Some of the bugs (e.g. with metadata fields containing newlines on Windows) were fixed in LR 4, but based on user posts, it seems that problems remain in LR 5. Often, it seems that you've identified a workaround and the metadata-status indicators disappear, only to reappear later -- this is because LR is scanning for changes in background.
Do you renaming files automatically on import? If so, you might try turning that off and see if that helps.
You can read other users' posts about this problem in the official Adobe feedback forum: Search results in Photoshop Family. Maybe they will give some clues for a workaround that works for you.
Generally, though, a number of people just ignore the spurious indicators. If you turn on the setting Catalog Settings > Automatically Write Changes Into XMP, then the metadata gets correctly written back to the files very soon after any actual changes are made. And you can then turn off the indicator in grid view via View > View Options > Grid View > Cell Icons > Unsaved Metadata.

Problems with Lync integration in App-V Package for Office 365 ProPlus

We have problems with setting Lync 2013 to automatic start after Windows start with Office 365 ProPlus App-V Package made by Office Deployment Tool. We use latest version for both (ODT and download package) at Windows 7 Enterprise 64 bit.
We have done this for Lync 2010 and also for Lync 2013 (MSI installations) and it works correctly.
User can choose to start Lync automatically, but this settings is ignored and in virtual registry is set wrong. We look for possible ways to set this by GPO (in ADMX is not this option available) by inserting in virtual registry with Package ID and user
SID in registry path.

Usually setting apps to auto start sets a registry key under HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run, but since this registry key is inside the virtual environment, Windows does not read it at logon.
The workaround is to either set this key in the native registry (perhaps by an App-V script), or easier still, just copy the shortcut to the Start Menu\Programs\Startup folder. Since you can't really modify Office 2013 packages with the sequencer, you'd
have to add this shortcut by modifying the deployment config file.

Wireless printing - problem with MAC integration

Hi everybody.
Just bought a Macbook pro and cannot get it to recognize my printer.
Devices within network:
- Belkin WLAN Router
- HP Laserjet CM1312 multifunctional printer - with HP 2101nw wireless G (printing and even scanning works fine wireless!)
- Acer Notebook with XP Home (used to set up the 2101 wireless)
- Acer Netbook with XP Home (added later to network, no problem with printing, setup took 5 min)
Antivirus software: Avira Premium Security Suite on both XP's
WPA-PSK encryption, no mac filtering.
The Macbook can access internet, but nothing happens when I try to print. I wanted to stop the hassle that Windows is causing occasionally. Frustrating experience with the Mac so far.

I have removed the printer, and added again - a couple of times. I was not sure what protocol to chose (LPD, IPP, Socket).
I took your advice and tried, but with the right click (ctrl pressed), nothing happens. The normal window for the print queue opens, and I cannot select anything like "Reset Printing System".
This does not work either, no Printer with "Bonjour" is offered for selection:
"Select the plus sign to re-add it. Look for the printer with Bonjour next to it, select it and wait until the "Add" button becomes available. Click it."
When I select the plus sign, I can only make settings in the "IP" area. Standard, Fax and Windows have nothing to select or to put in. "IP" offers Protocol to select and Address to fill in. I put in 192.168.2.6 and tried the different protocols. "Print with" offers generic PostScript printer, Generic PCL Laser printer, "other" and printer software - thats where I selected the driver for the cm1312

Problems with metadata in .mov files

Hi
I'm trying to set up an archiving system for video much like the one I use for photography. In doing this, I use metadata (File Info) reated and applied in Bridge to create searchable keywords for our archivist to use.
The problem is, I can't get bridge to create the metadata files. I can access the metadata templates function through the tools, File Info, or by control-clicking the image. But the window that opens is not editable, though it is savable. Blank but savable. I also cannot access other, previously created, templates. They are viewable, but greyed.
I don't think i had this issue a couple of weeks ago. Am i doing something wrong?

I'm not familiar with movies but tried a .mov file myself. It is not
possible to add metadata or keywords because it gives the message that it is
a read only file.
And it does make sense you can't add data to a read only file
I tried also a little project that I used for try with film function on my
powershot G9 and that was saved in i-Movie as Mv4. This file is capable of
adding metadata so you should search for a way to make the .mov readable
(don't know if it is possible at all), or if you make theme yourself try a
format earlier in the process. But as said, I know very little to none about
movies...
Could this be with the version of Bridge I'm using? It really doesn't seem to
want to give me access to change the metadata on .mov files. it's fine on
photo files of various formats.

BI Integration in Portal (Where to configure Port, problems with km-integr)

I am new to BI and started to integrate BI into the portal or rather tried it.
When I open my Bex-Excel-Workbook and try to create a document (right mouse -> jump -> documents) an error occurs that the service is not reachable. This is because of an wrong port.
Could someone tell me where I can change the port that he is using when the portal is called out of excel?
Changing the port in the browser I am facing some other problems like (sorry I don't know how to translate it exactly):
Properties for the assignment couldn't be provided
Could not determinate repository for documents with this property typ
Error during open new document-dialog
Has someone an idea how to investigate this problem? could it be because of the wrong port and where to configure the port?

Problem with ADOBE integration

Hi everyone,
I am developing simple application for ADOBE integration with webdynpro. I have installed Netweaver Developer studio 2.0.3 with Adobe designer. Previously i had NW 2.0.9 but it was sneak priview version so i can't install Adobe designer. I have also installed ACF on client machine. I have enabled Activx controls & plug-ins in Web browser. Also installed ADS on WAS. Now when i am deploying my webdynpro application on server i am getting blank screen without any PDF output. It shows a blank Box in browser. I have also checked following link for the same. But the problem remains same.

Bhavik,
I think one of the problems you are facing is the SP3 level. I think it would be good to download the latest SP (10) from the SAP Service Marketplace, because this level contains the GA version of Web AS (including the Adobe technology) and additional fixes. SP3 was a pretty early ramp-up version.
Check the Web Dynpro integration after reinstallation and let us know if it worked.

Problem with activating integration model

When I am trying to activate an integration model, that includes a scheduling agreement (type LF), the activation isn't successfull. It isn't blocked, but it never stops.
In the screen I have a message called "determining delta model" but it never continous with executing the activation.
Does anybody know what could cause this problem?

Hi,
I am facing the same problem as mentioned in the original post.
Whenever I activate the integration model for vendors, a "CIF_LOAD" window appears with message "Should interval be created" with YES and NO option. Why does this window appears. After clicking on NO option the message "Determining delta model" appears in the status bar and after some time the program gets terminated due to time out.
I have tried following solutions mentioned in this thread.
Refreshed the indexes of the two tables BDCPS and BDCP using DB20.
Executed the transaction BD22 in test run mode, but I am not sure which change pointers option(obsolete or processed) to select for deletion and also which message type. I selected the obsolete option but here too the program got terminated after time out. Besides I am doing this on prduction environment and other integration models like plant etc got activated.
Please help us with this.

Problems with Metadata Set and video clip size... I think....

Ok, I can't figure this one out... any help would be much appreciated.
Background:
I started server using the Video Production default customer profile. Then I created a few new metadata Sets including one called Finished Programs which is a media asset.
Problem:
When I upload a video clip and select the Finished Programs metadata set it always changes to the Media metadata set. Now this only happens when I have used MPEG Streamclip to take the video off of a DVD. If I upload a clip (mov) file that I used in Final Cut Pro it works fine.
My settings in MPEG StreamClip are Apple DV/DVCPRO-NTSC 720x480 Interlaced Scaling and Reinterlaced Chroma.
If I upload two clips at the same time and select Finished Programs metadata set, one that I used MPEG StreamClip and one that I digitized into FCP, it will place two clips in FCPserver, one with the Finished Programs and one with the Media Set.
Any ideas on how to fix this????

Could be. If it's not the metadata it must be something else. You would have to figure it out by trial and error. Maybe you should try giving it the highest priority and maybe turn off all automated scans and see if it works then. just to make sure that nothing intervenes with the process while it is going on and see if you can get it to run fully and see what the outcome is then.
I have files over 1 GB that get attached to the right medadataset. I have failures on thumbnail creation to, but FCSvr then starts the same job over and over till it succeeds.
I have never user MPEG Streamclip clips in FCSvr. Hopefully somebody else has and could share their experiences.

Problems with BI Integrated Planning

Hello, everybody,
We installed BI 7.0 and want to use BI Integrated Planning, but then i connect to Modeler Wizard i get error <b>No JCO Connection</b>. Our BASIS Team can't find an issue.
Maybe there is some kind of configuration in BI side, not just in BASIS?
Could you give us some advice?

Are you still having issues with BI-IP? I have been troubleshooting with the basis folks in getting BI-IP up on a new system over the last few day to a week and have now gone through the process myself whereas before I had been given a system already set up. I have enclosed some troubleshooting feedback with my counterpart in getting the system up.
What type of issue are you having?
Can the basis folks start the planning modeler or planning wizard in RSPLAN even if you can't?
1. The note mentioned above 919850 and the help documentation in SPRO under
SAP NETWEAVER->Business Intelligence->BI Integrated Planning
are very helpful. They have to set the following Jco Destinations in Web Dynpro Content Administrator:
BI_MODELDATA
BI_METADATA
WD_ALV_MODELDATA_DEST
WD_ALV_METADATA_DEST
And the problem was the connection to the message server. It was not possible to connect without having a Logon group assigned. This had to be done in WI4 ABAP as well as in the SLD for this system. After that assignment connection was no problem.
2. make sure you have the portal ips in your host file.
3. have they have created an account for you in client 001 of the NW04S?
4. Have they created a portal id for you and assign the portal role com.sap.ip.bi.business_planning_showcase to you?
5. have they configured the setting for starting the planning modeler (also under SPRO)..
