Process only some files

Hi Friends,
I had a new requirement.
There are 2 systems sending files to XI.
First system will send a file to XI.
This File will contain only the file names which must be processed from the second system.
Then XI must pick only those files from the second system.
Then these files will be processed and delivered to other system.
Is it possible without using BPM.
If yes pls let me know.
Even using BPM also pls let me know the design.

this isnt a easy scenario
anyway your design should be as follows;
1. use file sender cc and read the first file.
2. in the data you will get all the file names you need to process.
3. code a java proxy to connect to the other system. use the data from the first file to read all required files.
4. continue to process as you need.
this would ideally need a BPM to make a sycn java proxy call.

TREX unable to index only some files

Hi All!
I've got problem with my TREX (6.1 SP14 running on portal maschine SAP EP 6.0 SP14).
I've created some repositories, physically residing on that server's filesystem. It's an WebDAV repository and two CM (FSDB and DBFS).
Created an Index.
It indexes those repositories, and after that I see, that it can't index content of some files, while normally indexes others. It can't index *.doc, *.xls, *.pdf, *.ppt. It normally indexes *.txt, *.zip and folders.
In application log (in portal) I can see, that error code is 401 (6401), 'not authorized'.
If I open (for example) some *.doc file properties and try to access 'Settings'>'Classification', I recieve an error:
"An error occurred during classificationError while classifying resource /FSDB_local/testdocFSDB.doc for taxonomy localfiles_tax.com.sapportals.wcm.WcmException: HTTP Status Code 401: Unauthorized (Errorcode 6401)".
In IIS log there is:

I have a similar issue with a web repository.
I have an alternative URL set in the URL generator and I also do not have a locked index_service user (password is also reset) but I am getting the same 401 (6401 TREX error) problems as others.
Anybody know how to solve this problem?
How does TREX authenticate with the portal using the index_service user? How does TREX know what credentials to use? If it is ticket based authentication, how is this ticket set in the TREX system?

CS6 processes only RAW files only one-by-one

I have CS5 64-bit version installed and for trial I have now installed CS6, also 64-bit.
I noticed one thing, when converting RAW files to JPG from Camera Raw in CS5, then 3-4 files are processed in parallel and therefore the entire process is rather speedy. In CS6 for some reason files are processed only one-by-one.
From system wise, I have a laptop, 64-bit system, 64-bit Windows 7 Home Premium, and two graphics processors, integrated Intel GPU and NVIDIA GeForce 310M.

Can anyone suggest how to get CS6 to process files in parallel also?

What's the real problem you're trying to solve? That you want the files converted faster? Camera Raw is indeed slowing down as they add features and fix bugs. Your only real solution is to get a more powerful computer. Please see my comparison list of speeds to convert the same 50 raw images here:

Did you time the set of conversions of the same files with both? Do your numbers line up with mine?
Regarding what you see on the screen... Have you looked at your Task Manager to see that it's busying all your cores? It doesn't busy them all 100%, but it does get them all working - no less so than Photoshop CS5. Camera Raw 7 simply does much more per conversion (and we benefit by it being easier than ever to get fantastic image quality out of our raw files).
It looks like what they've done in the latest version is to implement more multi-threading in an individual conversion, and thus they don't have to do multiple images simultaneously to get all your cores working. The advantage to this is that even a single image opens faster.

If you want to use Time Machine to recover the contents of one of its a backups to a new drive, follow the instructions in Mac OS X 10.6: Recovering your entire system. Note that you must select the "Restore System From Backup" option from the Utilities menu of the Installer disc to do this.
Also note that if you are transferring files to a hard drive to be used with a different computer, you should use Migration Assistant instead. This intentionally will not copy everything because some settings, applications, etc. are not compatible computer-to-computer. Migration Assistant will copy everything that is.

Strange sound distortion since update (but only some files and Bluetooth)

My Xperia Z1 compact got updated to Lollipop (14.5.A.0.242) this morning. Moreover, the Walkman got updated to 8.5.A.3.3. From then onwards, some music files are distorted when played with Walkman, but only when played via Bluetooth.
This does not happen when played with another player (tested with VLC app). It seems to be also restricted to a special file type. Nearly all my music is stored with AAC. The files that have the problem are however only the AAC files that use the profile HE-AAC (AAC+ i.e. with SBR). If I remember it correctly, I created these files with Winamp.
Could you please look into this problem? I like the Walkman player more than Google Music or VLC and don't want to convert all my HE-AAC music to something else.

Really bad distortion with only some files and ga

Hello,
I recently bought an audigy 2 value 7.. Works like a charm with winamp, media player etc..
however, whenever I try to play certain files with VLC media player or even some games (example, only the opening of Rise of nations) i get crazy distortion.
I have a P4 2.3 with 384 Ram. I have reinstalled the drivers, and still no luck. Please help so I can watch the movies that are being affected.

IDocs sent to XI, processed only some, others in status Scheduled for o/b..

Hi guys!
We have a scenario, where Idoc is sent from r/3 into XI, here enters integration process, where the idoc is mapped to soap req, sent sync to web service, ws response is mapped to other idoc type and integration process sends data to r/3.
The problem is, when more idocs are sent into xi from r/3 in short time. Some idocs are processed correctly, but some remain in status - Scheduled for outbound processing. When the same idoc (same data etc) is sent later, separately, the data (process) is processed succesfully.
Any ideas, what could be wrong?

Hi Olian,
This problem occurs when XI has not received the response from the webservice and it gets timed out. You can monitor this in RWB - Message Monitoring.

Keeping library/playlists when only some files moved?

lost a hard drive unfortunately so many of my itunes files are now not found, with the big ole grey exclamation mark. i had the music i cared about on my ipod, and recovered that, but now if i just import that into my library i will have doubles and my many valuable playlists will cease to work. I don't want to go through and relocate 4000 odd files and am wondering if there is some way to get iTunes to automatically detect the new locations? recall reading that somewhere...

Jim-bo, yes that is correct.
If you just want to re-create one playlist you can export just that playlist as Matthew suggests. However, if you copy the entire iTunes folder you will get all playlists as well as play counts and ratings.

Some files not previewing in Bridge CS4, only showing icons

This is not new but I finally got to the point where I'm bothered enough to write. I'm browsing folders that have Illustrator, Photoshop, and .tif files, and some files preview, and some just show the icon of the file type. What needs to happen for me to be able to preview ALL the files in the folder I'm browsing? b.t.w., it's not just this folder - it's happened before with other folders and there seems to be no sense to it - some folders I browse everything shows up, others only some files preview and others are as described above. Thanks for any advice...

I would go to tools/cache/purge cache for xxx folder. Let the thumbs rebuild and see how it acts. It is best not to start a new action until the spinning wheel in lower right corner stops to indicate it is finished.

Delete only one file from Trash

Hello There,
I do not want to empty my entire Trash folder but only some files which i know I am not going to use it. Is there a way to delete only selected files and not just empty trash...

When I place files in the Trash, I expect that they will be deleted. IMHO Trash is not a good place to store files that I may have second thoughts about eliminating.
I have created a folder which I named "B4 Trash," and placed it on my Desktop. If I really want to throw something away, I put it in the Trash and empty the Trash. If I am not sure about deletion, I place it in B4 Trash and get rid of it at my leisure.
Why not drag all of the files in Trash to a folder you create on your Desktop called B4 Trash, and then drag the files you really want to get rid of back to the Trash. Then empty the Trash.

Revel Error Message: "Some files could not be uploaded."

Error Message: "Some files could not be uploaded. 1 file was unable to be uploaded and was skipped." I am a Revel user from its inception. I have never had upload errors before in Adobe Revel. I am trying to upload jpeg files in the same way I have done for months, which is by dragging and dropping files directly into an album I have created. Starting yesterday, only some files upload properly. Others receive the above error message. When I have tried to re-upload the jpegs which have not gone, I receive either the same error message or a slightly different error which indicates the files are not uploading because they are duplicates. They're not duplicates and appear nowhere else in my Revel albums. I have rebooted my Window 7 PC, I have repeatedly logged out and back into Revel. I have tried both Firefox and IE. I have tried creating new albums and uploading the failed files to a new album. I have cleared my Firefox cache. I have tried both the "drag and drop" feature and the "Add Photos or Videos" button in Revel. I have tried using the "Export to Revel" feature in Adobe Photoshop Elements 11. I have tried uploading never-before-attempted files, and - on average - only 25% of those brand-new files are uploading. I am a subscriber and pay for the Revel service, so I am not bumping into any upload quotas. I have read through these forums and have found problems similar to mine as far back as May 2013, but none of the problems ever seem to have been resolved other than the users simply giving up. Can you help? I am becoming increasingly confused with respect to which files have succeeded and which files have failed. Thank you. -Dori

You can have many libraries with many albums and files within them. Each library is independent, so if you upload a file to two libraries then you two copies. If you put a photo from a library in albums that live within that library, then there is only one copy in the library that each album has access to so it will show up when you view the album. How to restore only certain files

i did an erase and install (hopefully to remove a problem that we and the apple store genius have ben unable to find. . i did not yet use time machine to migrate all files to the macbook because i want to migrate only certain files. how do i migrate only some files selectively, and not all of them as would happen in doing a complete restore ?

Only some .exe files launching via system command

Hi All,
Newb to C++ here.
I've got a button in Visual C++ that I want to use to run an exe file.
It works with some (chrome.exe, notepad.exe) without any file path, but it doesn't work with other .exe's (skype.exe, battle.net.exe) etc
Any way around this? I inevitably want to use this button to run an exe file on a shared drive at work (just to map drives).
Code I'm using is;

The error I'm getting with other exe files is;
An unhandled exception of type 'System.ComponentModel.Win32Exception' occurred in System.dll
Additional information: The system cannot find the file specified

The system can find only these files that are on PATH. Otherwise, provide the full path.
Note that, besides of the exe file name, you need to provide the current (a.k.a. working) directory for the program, and UNC paths are not valid as a current directory, so you have either to specify a local directory or map a drive letter.

iTunes will only import music from your phone that was purchased from the iTunes store. To transfer music from other sources you have to use 3rd party software, such as PhoneView.
