Prod Order Component BAPI
Hi, can you tell me if there is a BAPI to change Component of a Production Order (tcode CO02).
have tried using BAPI_PRODORD_CHANGE but this is for the header only. we want to change the component side of the PO..

For adding or chnaging components in a Production order it is possible through BDC only , there are no BAPIS availabale for this.

Variant Config - Changing char value on Prod Order component
Experts,
We have a situation where we need to manually add Material Variants as components on a given Production Order's component list. This is in cases where stock for the material variant is available & can be used.
We use ECC 6.0 with certain features of DIMP (SDUD) turned on for Mill Products (along with Variant Config). After adding the Material Variant on the Production Order, we want to edit/change/add characteristic values to the Class 300 characteristics. I've tested this & while it is possible for a configurable material, system does not allow to change char values on the material variant.
Does anyone know of a way to enhance the system in order to achieve this?

let's assume the characteristic you want is called CHAR.
Then create a dummy characteristic called DUMMY. Create values 'ASSIGNED' and 'BLANK' for DUMMY.
Create a dependency for the values of DUMMY
for 'ASSIGNED':
CHAR SPECIFIED
for 'BLANK':
NOT SPECIFIED CHAR
Then go back in each value of characteristic CHAR and create another dependency as follows:
DUMMY eq 'ASSIGNED'
that way the system should only display those values of CHAR for which DUMMY has a value...
It's a bit of a circular thought I know... Not implemented anything like it myself but it just might work -

Test scenario for Strategy Group 50 (Planning without final Assembly)
Product Structure
Material--> SG50.00 > FERT> (Strategy Group: 50)
Material---> SG50.02 --> HALB --->(Strategy Group: 40)
Material---> SG50.04 ---> ROH --->(Strategy Group: Blank)
Maintained PIRs and Ran MRP at the header level, Planned orders are created
with order type VP at levels of BOM structure. Thus cannot covert planned orders
to production orders without having sales order.
But my understanding of Strategy Group 50, is BOM components can be produced before hand (i.e.
before sales orders are recieved ). Now planned orders with order type VP not able to convert

Intially maintained Individual/Collective indicator to "2" at header level (FERT), which is why all the planned orders are created with order type VP
Changed the Individual/Collective indicator to "blank " at header level (FERT), and maintained Individual/Collective indicator to "2" at component level
Reran the MRP (MDO2), with the following settings --> Delete and Recreate planning data and Check mark on Also plan on unchanged components
Able to see planned orders at component level with order type LA
Due points have been assigned -

hope it will solve ur purpose
so u can suggest for this TCode still u need a custom program u can submit these details from your z program
and get the output

FM or BAPI for production order component split batch
Hi,
I'm trying to split a production order component quantity into batchs with FM or BAPI.
Using BAPI_ALM_ORDER_MAINTAIN i can create or modify components but i can't set field split batch flag SPLKZ and reference SPLVR.
Can you help me?In standard product order process in CO02 when i split material with standard function I obtain several lines. These new lines refer to the originale one by fields SPLVR and SPLKZ.
Eg. In operation 0010 i've 10 PC of MATERIAL1

Material staging indicator not populating in prod order WM pick list item
Hello,
I have an issue with material staging in an prod order
1) PP-WM interface is activated
2) Control cycle for material is created
3) Production storage location is created for material
4) storage type is 100 for production
5) There is one discontinued material and also the follow up material
6) stock of discontinued material is zero and requirement are passed to follow up material
When we confirm the order the stagging indicator for both follow up material as well as discontinued material automatically populates zero (Non relevence to pick list items) where as it should be one (1 - for pick list items).
One more issue user has manually inserted discontinued material as well as follow up material in production order change mode.
In the BOM of a main material both discontinued as well as follow up material is there with some quantity as a component.
For the same work center, control cycle , production storage location the indicator is populating.
These two material (discontinued as well as follow up) are appearing twice in the WM pick list screen where first two line items are OK and populating indicator "1". But in line item last and second last indicator is not there.
My question is why the stagging indicator is not automatically populating in the production order WM pick list screen in front of components.Unfortunately, WM material staging via production orders is not possible
from the pull list. Please see the long text of message RMPU 311
(WM material staging for production order reservation not possible):
"You cannot carry out a WM material provision for pick parts from
production order reservations in the pull list". The reasons for this

WM material staging via production orders is not possible from the pull
list.
I think you may try in CO02 or COR2 for production order or process order. -

Tick marked for - Realese Active under Realese key tab.& saved it.
again I goto CC02,enter change number & enter.
In Change change master data:change Header maintain change no. status 1 & Realese key 1.
when I pressed enter system shows warning message as follow:
You cannot withdraw the "Technical release" indicator
Message no. CC278
Diagnosis
You have chosen the function Release package.
System Response
When you do this, the system sets the Technical release indicator.
Procedure
You receive this warning message because you cannot make any further object changes to a change package that has been technically released.
Only choose the Release package function if you have completed all object changes with reference to this change package.
Even then after enter I can not realese change number. realese indicator grey out.

GR for Purchase order and GI for prod. order simultaneously
Hi Guys,
My client current has an external system, which does both GR for puchase order and GI for Prod. order at the same time. He is now migrating into SAP and he wants the same functionality. Do you have any idea how to do this.
For eg., Pick list(CO27) will pick and issue the components to production order, if the component is in inventory. if it is not there, it will give error.
Can we add, if material is not there, it should do GR and GI. is it possible with any customer exit in CO27?

In KANBAN, we have the possibility to do the GR (Goods Invard) if th container is Full and GI (to the production Order) if the Container is Empty.

Costing relevancy in prod order
Hi.
We have a production order with all the components fixed to relevancy for
costing. sometimes we need to change the component at prod order level,
If we change the component, indicator / tick for "relevancy of costing" is disappering at general data of order.
we have ETO , MTO & MTS scenario in our plant.
Above mention problem is only for ETO order tyes prod orders.
Is there any setting/config for order types to select costing relevancy tick.

normal prod orders are getting created correctly, but when we change the componentin CO02 then costing relevancy is getting disapper.

Extra Mtrl reservation against Prod order

Our client wants to do extra mtrl reservation agnst prod order for for issue mtrls (261 mov type) while doing so from MB21 it is not allowing as order category is std 10 and manual reservation is not possible for this.
Is there any way to do so? how do i can create reservation manually for the same?

The field which identifies BOM item id will be RESB-STLKN.
If this field is "blank" for a component then you can be sure that the material is NOT copied from the standard BOM but added externally and directly in to the production order.
You can select initial selection criteria as per your req. viz. production order, plant, material, etc.
Make sure order category selected is 10 (from AUFK table) and RESB-STLKN selected as blank in your initial screen.

Stock avaibility in prod order
Dear all ,
I have BOM of FG containing SFG1 & SFG2 material as component ,
Only stock SFG1 is available & SFG2 is not available .
But while creating order sys showing MACM status . but sfg2 is not available , what need to be Done ?
in OPJK for CRTD mode following setting are thr :
Tick : Check material availbility while saving order
Coll Conv :USEr decide if material is missing

Check in the material master in MRP3 whether you have assigned the Checking Group for Availability Check in Availability Check or not.Based on this Checking Group system will check the material availability.
MANC status will come if you will not check the material availibility for that Prod Order.
If you want system system should automatically check the mat availability during Order Creation/Rel then in OPJK for that Order Type/Plant you need to configure it for creation and release.
Check the system status in BS22 against the object type ORH for PP/PM order.

List of prod orders based on prt's used
Hi, can we track the prod orders in which same prt is used? basically one prt used for how many production orders? ps also advise how to issue prt's to the prod orders and taken off from prod orders?
Use COOIS and enter the component in the selection section "select at component level". To pick the materials use COHV with the same selection and mass processing function "picking". Instead of mass picking the material have you considered backflushing?

Amending order qty in prod order
Hi, We need to amend the prod order qty incase of any rejections or scrap during manufacturing. How toimplement the same.

You can amend the order quantity whenever required, untill it has following statuses, either DLFL, TECO, LKD, CLSD.
You can change the order quantity in the order change mode i.e. CO02.
As soon as the order quantity increases the corresponding component quantity will be effective for the order.
Also the operation will be needed to be confirmed for this extra quantity.
Another option is of rework order.
