Product Allocation for STO

Hello Experts,
We would like to check Product Allocation for STO using two custom field. These custom field will be created as custom partner function for the customer (KUNNR) assigned to receiving plant (TO WERKS).
Could anyone help us with the relevant BADI and user exit that we need to implement?

Thanks for the information.
We have gone through SAP Note 600883 and are checking the BAdI ME_TRIGGER_ATP and BAdI ME_CHANGE_CHARACTER. However, we are yet to find a way to make this happen.
If you have experience of similar implementation, could you please share more information on this?

    This is regarding allocation check against stock transport order
    1. As per SAP literature, Receiving plant (WERKS_TO) is available as a characteristic for stock transport orders:

    But in the product allocation field catelog, the above field is not present. So how to carry out the allocation check at this level?
    2. What is the key figure to update incoming orders quantity. By default AEMENGE is available. Is the same key figure applicable for STO. If not, what is the key figure to update the incoming order quantity for STO. Where can it be added ?

    Hi RS
    1) Receiving Plant can be maintained as a customer with suitable Sales Area. Since customer is available as a characteristic in field catalogue, you can use the same. Alternately, you need to extend the structure (As Michael has advised). This is quite common requirement and your development colleagues will be able to help you.
    2) Key figure will remain AMENGE irrespective of whether it is Sales Order or STO.

    Hi,
    You can use product allocation for the BOM material, this you can do by making the requirement class and schedule line active for PA, associated with the header material. followed by the standard configuration required for PA.
    Logically, you should keep the PA active for the header material instead of sub-items.  since the Sub items are part of the BOM.
    In the item category config you can set the indicator to "A" for "Create delivery group", this will ensure the correct delivery date based on the availibility of both the header and sub-items.

  • Product Allocation--Can we Have in MC94 Planning for 2 or 3 materials

    As MC94 shows only one column for every Months allocation ,example 07.2009,08.2009.........
    then--->
    1>can we have 2 or 3 materials and 2 or 3 customers for same Production allocation Procedures
    like can we have 0000000000001-Product Allocation procedure same for all materials and same customer groupe like 01 for 3 or more customers .
    2> MC94 for Product allocation Planning can we product allocation for 2 or more materials and 2 or more customers for reserving quantities like 03 for product allocation,if yes how?
    if ,no then how can we have allocation for different materials say for 6 quantity in MC94.
    If I have to book for material A 8 quantity,material 2--9, material --10 quantity for product Allocation and same for customer 1 ,customer 2 then how will i do in MC94,all this in simultaneously though I have assigned the same allocation procedure and allocation object assigned and work out in MC94 at a time for all of these then How do i reserve all of them in single instance for Product allocation.

    Can we have ordered quantity in sales order as 10 and if in MC94 we have 4 as product allocations then what would be resultant schedule lines 4 or 10.
    if confirmed quantity is 10 in sales order then whats use of product allocation of 4 quantity in MC94.
    In in MC94 you have allocated 4 pieces then schedule line will also be of 4 only..And the remaining quantity will be confirmed for next month schedule line in case you have allocated sufficient quantity for next month also in MC94.

  • Product Allocation: Removing a Material from Product Allocation

    Hey folks! 
    I am new to the forums, so hopefully some of you sharks will bite on this one.  I work for a consumer products company and we're having issues with product allocations.
    We have had a material on product allocation for the past 3 months.  We used a allocation rule that is modeled off of the S140 rule on the basic data of the material view.  However, our production has now ramped up sufficiently to produce this product and provide normally. 
    1) How do we remove the material from product allocation?
    We deleted the rule from the basic data view, but is there anything else we need to do?  There are many remaining open sales orders that get the error "No Feature Combination exists for this selection error".  I have ran rescheduling (V_V2) and have also ran the SDRQCR21 to rebuild requirements, but it still remains with this error.
    2) Is there something we have to do with the infostructures?  Something we have to do in MC64 or MC94? 
    3) Do we need to go through each sales order and delete the line item and replace the line item to get the normal ATP to function (we would rather not do this as we have EDI information connected to each line item)
    4) Is there another report out there I need to run that I just do not know about?
    Any help would be great.  We are on ECC5.0 Hotpack 15.  I will reward points if I can figure out how to.

    Use MC94 to remove the quantities allocated.
    Use MC62 to remove the planning hierarchy.
    I believe that in your situation MC94 will work.

  • VMI order check against Product Allocation

    We are setting up VMI where we are to plan the supply to one of our customers.
    During our tests we have dicovered that the TLB orders are not checking against Product Allocation.
    An ATP check does takes place when creating the TLB order (we are not using Deployment!!) but check against Product Allocation does not take place!!!
    If we do an online ATP check from R/3 after
    Does anybody knows how to enable check against Product Allocation during TLB order creation ?

    Unfortunately there is not a tool to make diagrams in here or do we have..
    To depict ATP check against Product Allocations, we can have two big blocks representing R/3 and APO.
    Then in each block we can have smaller blocks to represent
    a sales order creation(in R3 block) and Product Allocations in Planning area (in SCM block).
    You can depict ATP call by making an arrow from sales order block to product allocation block. Then to add further details you
    can have a time series(bar graph) showing product allocations for time buckets( say months) getting offset by incoming orders in a separate diagram.
    to represent BOP, a block for SD ( in R3 block) and a block for BOP (in APO) and a link between them to trigger BOP process. A line from BOP back to R3 block connecting a smaller blocks "process event" and then connecting to "update".
    This update block should be linked to another smaller block in APO  named as "update time series". then this update time series can lead to "delete temporary quantity assignments" block( in APO).

  • Product Allocations in GATP

    I am facing a situation in GATP product allocations . We are using product allocations for ATP check . All the config settings are correct  . I created a new material in R/3 , transferred to APO . In APO i created characteristics combinations for the material. Now the situation is when i am doing a simulation for ATP check  for the product i am getting an error with explanation belwo
    The system  could not determine the  following data
    The  characteristic combination of the item  ...... / that is used to choose product allocation quantities in the characteristics combinations directory  of product alloaction group & suitable entries  for collective product allocations of the characteristics combination of the sale sorder.
    It also gave me the procedure  to expand the characteristics combination directory using the planning hierarchy to include the missing caharcteristics combination from teh sales order
    I tried doing as explained , but still getting the same error .
    Has any bidy faced similar situation ?

    I think you are missing the execution of transaction /SAPAPO/PAREA_K, which transfers the characteristics combinations to product allocation.

    Hi guys,
    We are planing to implement availabilty check against product allocation for reserving stock for a particular customer then are able to select which sales orders to allocate that stock to at later date.Any suggestions or ideas on how to do this or is their any other senario that best suits this requirement.

  • Unable to confirm quantity on the sales order --- Product allocation issue

    The following configuration steps were completed in the APO system.
    1.     Maintain Product allocation object
    2.     Maintain Product allocation group
    3.     Maintain Product allocation procedure
    4.     Create planning object structure with the necessary characteristics
    5.     Maintain characteristic combination
    6.     Create Planning area with necessary key figures
    7.     Create Planning book and data view
    8.     Maintain connection to planning area
    9.     Generate Product allocation group objects
    10.     Generate characteristic combination from planning area
    11.     Allocate the stock for the CVC combination
    12.                 Assigned the product allocation group to the APO product
    Regardless of quantity in the planning book, it is confirming all the quantity on the ECC sales order. This is due to the material availability date being pushed out to 12/31/2011 which seems to be the last date of the planning area time series. The values on the planning book were maintained online (manual step).
    Also when I run the simulation of product allocation under GATP>Reporting>Product allocation,
    For the product allocation group and the combinations that I have, I get the message "No allocations defined for the current characteristic combination"
    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Dear Ashwin,
    I would recommend to use the transaction /SAPAPO/ATPQ_CHKUSG. Enter the PAL group and do the following:
    First: run the transaction with the 3rd option. Select all assignments found by the report then press the button delete with incoming order qty -> this deletes all assignments without any order number                                                                               
    Second: run the transaction again with the 1st option. Select all entries. press the button "merge PAL assignments", press button execute, choose on the first popup "yes" and on the second popup "no"  -> this should correct the shortages.                                                                               
    Check the note 676128 to get further information about the //ATPQ_CHKUSG and the options.

    Hi gurus,
    I'm trying to figure out how depict in a diagram the process of availability check against product allocation.
    The process includes the sales order creation in R/3, the availability check in APO (SCM 5.0) ,  returnig the delivery date.
    We are also planning a backorder process
    I think the diagram is very simple ... just 1 box for the sales order creation, one box for the availability check and 1 exit to the back order processing.
    Any help  will bee appreciated

  • Can I use the fields Product allocation and Basic material for bifurcation of material

    Dear Users,
    We have a requirement for bifurcation of material so we need two field in material master for fulfilling the requirement. First requirement is material category like insurance or revenue etc., second requirement is department wise like electrical, maintenance etc, so i have choosen the fields 'Product allocation' in basic data 1 screen in material master for fulfilling department requirement and then in basic data 2 i have choosen 'Basic Material' field for fulfilling material category requirement. My doubt is whether this change will effect the reports and i need to know the effects of such changes.

    As you are trying to use the standard fields, so you can read the F1 help for these fields.
    Also check in which table and program, the fields are used.
    Read the F1 help and find the table and program by using this document How to find Table name for a Field which is shown structure name on press F1.
    After reading this, If these fields are suitable for your requirement, then you can continue.

    this is the standard infostructure for product allocation.

  • Add a custom field for Product Allocation

    Hi experts,
    I have copied S140 to S501 to add a custom field for product allocation.
    I have added the custom field in MCVBAKUSR, so it is visible in MCVBAK.
    However, I don't know whether I can populate data into custom field. I searched in forum, someone said it can be done in SAP enhancement MCS10001. But it can't work. I have tried to place a break-point in the code, and seems that throughout the order creation and product allocation check, it hasn't get into the codings in enhancement MCS10001.
    Can anyone give me some idea on it? Thanks.

    You should have simply extended VBAK table. It would've taken care of extending MCVBAK, etc. Then VBAK field would have to be populated in a user exit USEREXIT_CHECK_VBAK in MV45AFZB, when a document is being created/changed.

    Following enhancement is available for Product allocation.
    Maintain Enhancement Projects for Product Allocation
    In this IMG activity, you can edit customer exits for the global availability check.
    Product allocations
    The enhancement for the initialization is APOQT001 .
    The user exits for product allocations are divided into two different call sequences:
    Product allocations is the requirements check against the product allocation time series from planning. A complete check is executed for this call sequence.
    The enhancements for product allocations are:
    APOQT010 copy parameters
    APOQT012 product allocations control
    APOQT021 product allocations
    APOQT022 consumption at beginning situation
    APOQT023 order consumption
    APOQT032 results control
    APOQT033 sequence of product allocation procedures
    APOQT007 product allocation assignment of partial deliveries
    APOQT018 adjusting field catalog
    The comparison adjusts the results of product allocations to the results of the other basic methods. This adjustment is necessary when product allocations is not the last basic method executed.
    The enhancements for the comparison are:
    APOQT011 copy parameters
    APOQT014 product allocations control
    APOQT024 consumption
    APOQT034 results control
    APOQT035 sequence of product allocation procedures
    The sequence of the basic methods is configured in the check instructions.
    When comparing, the entries in the table for the product allocation assignment and the temporary quantity assignments (delta records) are adjusted to the final results of the ATP check.
    If the behavior of product allocations is changed by the user exits, the behavior of the comparison must be adapted accordingly in the corresponding user exits!
