System State dumped to trace file /home/oracle/oracle/admin/vsukprod/udump/vsukprod_ora_14092.trcyou should contact Oracle Support to analyse there trace files.
Make also sure you are not running out of processes/sessions at database instance level with:
SQL> select * from v$resource_limit
  2  where resource_name in ('processes','sessions');
RESOURCE_NAME                  CURRENT_UTILIZATION MAX_UTILIZATION INITIAL_AL LIMIT_VALU
processes                                       29              38        150        150
sessions                                        35              47        248        248If MAX_UTILIZATION = LIMIT_VALU you have reached maximum and you must increase static parameter PROCESSES.

    Database is in NO ARCHIVE MODE
    There is Enough Space in Temporary Tablespace and all other tablespace.
    NO patches were applied to the database
    NO parameters has been modified
    When i check the CPU usage its normal.
    There is Enough Disk Space.

    What is the OS ? Windows --> Did you check virus scan or some other process running during that time ?
    Unix / Linux --> Is sysadmin running a defrag on the disks or some other OS Utility ?
    Do you login as SYS from the server ? Can you login as any other user from the server ?
    Hang == Slow ?

    Production database in NOARCHIVE log mode... is interesting by itself, but that is not a question here.

  • Shutting down database hangs

    Dear Gurus,
    I m facing a database hang issue while performing the scheduled offline backup.I m able to take the online backup.When the backup starts , the database starts to shutdown.When checked in the log of backup it shows in tail as shutting down database.When checked for user trace , it shows message as "Attempting to kill pid xxxxxxx" and keeps on retrying for n no. of times.Then I have to manually kill the backup and restart the application.Then again try for an offline backup.This time it happens smoothly.This activity we did for couple of weeks .But now from past 3 days even after restarting the backup, it goes to hang mode.In other words unable to perform the backup activity.
    The message had been raised to SAP from almost 15 days at very high.They every time ask the logs , and say that the data in log is nt providing much info for analysing the issue or cause of hang.Also enabled the traces of 10400 for trace level 1 ,10 some more traces also.But still the output is not helping even them to analyse the root cause.
    Its my observation that this issue is occuring only on ABAP+JAVA systems(CRM &BIW)not in ECC.We are on oracle database 10.2.0.0.4 with latest patch set as suggested by SAP for the same issue.
    This issue is h

    The listener is started and I can connect using SQL Plus with the same username and password as the one I give in the Pro*C program.

    Note: From 11.2.0.2 onwards, hanganalyze will not produce output under a sqlplus "preliminary connection" since it requires a process state object and a session state object. If a hanganalyze is attempted, the trace will output:

    Is something i am missing or there is some different steps.

    Level 3  --> will collect HANGANALYZE OUTPUT + DUMPS ONLY THE PROCESSES THOUGH TO BE IN HANG.
    This many not be a case of process hang. So check with LEVEL 10 .
    Still if you are getting the same error than , you need to contact oracle support.

  • Database hangs due to full archive dest

    Hi All;
    Today Morning my database went in Hang status as my archive location of the production database was full.
    there was 30g Space avaliable on the on archiveloation last night.
    When we checked we found around 360 logs were generated between 6 to 6.30 & location went full, Only 20 logs get generated during this time daily.
    We are checking if any change was made in the night jobs yestarday & also the report of that period.
    Is there is any other way to find out why more archives generated then normal
    Database =10g
    OS =AIX 64 bit
    Thanks,

    hi,
    whithout redo log generation archivelog not generated. so without any DML operation as told by SB thereis not possible generation of logs.
    so there might be some reason. you have mention all the possibility to check .. so its in ur hand..
    schedule a backup to backup archivelogs and delete the old one..
    regards,

  • Oracle 11g 64 bit on Linux - Restore failure in production database

    Hi guru,
    We used to take full hot backup with the help of BackupExec of Symantec in our production database.We have two different oracle database (not cluster).
    We defined same policy for both .We defined schedule on Symantec to take full hot backup every night of database on tap drive.At any point of time we maintain only 2 full backup for each database on tap and then recycle it.
    Yesterday suddenly storage of database failed for both.?It was complete failure so we did not have any option but to restore last night full backup.
    It has done successfully for one database but when we tried to restore second from last night backup it thrown error :
    channel ch0: ORA-19870: error while restoring backup piece BE_9kjsfol6_1_1
    ORA-19507: failed to retrieve sequential file, handle="BE_9kjsfol6_1_1", parms=""
    ORA-27029: skgfrtrv: sbtrestore returned error
    ORA-19511: Error received from media manager layer, error text
    then we tried to restore backup of last to last night and it gave again error :
    channel ch0: ORA-19870: error while restoring backup piece BE_9djsaman_1_1
    ORA-19507: failed to retrieve sequential file, handle="BE_9djsaman_1_1", parms=""
    ORA-27029: skgfrtrv: sbtrestore returned error
    ORA-19511: Error received from media manager layer, error text
    But we have seen log of Symantec at the time of backup and it said that backup has successfully completed.
    right now I am in big trouble I tried almost all possible combination of symantec to restore database but got no success.I used script generated by symantec and tried to run that on RMAN directly but it is throwing same error.
    Please help me if possible an throw some light on exception (as I understand it says it is not able to find some piece on tap but we have not touched tap and tap media is completely safe.)
    I am pasting complete text log generated by Symantec at the time of restore attempt:

    Hi,
    I am using oracle 10g release 2 standard edition. I recently created a database instance and wanted to create a standby database instance. After sorting out how to achieve this without managed standby and data guard I finally got it working and the shipped archive logs are applied and working well on the standby database.
    Now I am thinking of re-creating my production database and using ASM for storage managment. By doing this can a standby database still be created from a primary database using ASM? I want to be sure I can before I commit to using ASM for the production instance and manually creating a standby database from that instance.
    Note: I am using standard edition not enterprise edition.

    Hi
    For Oracle SE standby, you can visit www.anbultechnologies.co.uk , they have a brilliant product name DRMC which is Automatic disaster recovery solution with automatic failover in case primary goes down due to any reason.
    We are using this product for more than 2 years and it works like a dream using Oracle Standard Edition. We have depolyed more databases and Standby solution within the prices of 2 EE edition licenses.
    You can give ma try as well.
    website address is www.anbultechnologies.co.uk

  • Oracle 10g Database Hanging twice a day

    My database server has 10g with MS 2003 server as OS.
    Twice a day the database hangs and does disconnects all the users from local and remote locations.
    Current SYSTEM tablespace has a size of 470 MB and is 98.86 in use, when I try to add another datafile as 'SYSTEM02.DBF' in the same path where other system data files are, I kept this operation running during weekends but datafile was not added.
    Has it anything to do with the MS 2003 server no. of users.
    Any other suggestions for SYSTEM Tablespace to be free.
    Please reply.
    Thanks

  • Changes are not reflected in Staging or Production Database - BCC

    Hi,
    I changed an asset from product catalog and able to see successful deployment in BCC. But, I am not able to see the changes in Staging or Production database.
    I see only changes in Versioned Database.
    Did the following things to see if thee is any error but there is no error during this operations.
    1) Enabled all the logs for DeploymentManager, DeploymentServer.
    2) Ran the CatalogMaintenanceService.
    Please help me in resolving this issue.
    Thanks,
    DKAP

    Adding to Desai, check for the repository mapping in agents, i.e in your production agent, you need to map the repositories to production repositories. For example ProductCatalog should be mapped to ProductCatalogproduction, similarly in Staging agent as well.
    Cheers

  • Production database version 10.1.0.3 to 10.2

    We are planning to upgrade the production database version 10.1.0.3 to 10.2 version.
    Please provide the link to download the any standard document related to upgrade the oracle version 10.1.0.3 to 10.2.

    You can directly upgrade 10.1.0.3 to 10.2.0.2 by using 10.2.0.2 complete software distribution but not 10.2.0.2 patch set.
    10.2.0.2 Patch set requires 10.2.0.1 base release first.
    To proceed with the upgrade review instructions from Oracle Database upgrade guide 10.2 from OTN.
