Production order Unit of Messure-decimal rounding issue

Finished product is a Metal conveyor belt.
Material Base UoM is Links u2018LKu2019
Alternative UoM are:
10 link = 1 Feet
1 meter = 3.2808 Feet
Plant X800, (MTO) Sales orders created in meters. So production orders in Meters (MM02->work scheduling view->Production unit & Unit of Issue maintained in Meters)
Now Issue is:
If production order is 10 meters, this is converted to 328.084 LK. Physically shopfloor receives only 328 LKs after production.
Links cannot be in decimals. Inventory and Costing is done u2018per Linku2019.
This needs a decimal rounding to u20180u2019 value. Expectation will be 328 LK.
If the value is 1.49 then the rounding value will be u20181u2019 (< 0.5)
If the value is 1.5 then the rounding value will be u20182u2019 (>0.5)
Please help me. Is there a config Setting or a work around (user exit)?

Your requirement cannot be fulfilled by customization. Nor it can be perfectly implemented though BAdI's or Userexits.
The settings in CUNI only hide the decimal zeros but it won't prevent either users or programs to enter decimals. in R/3 quantity field uses the domain MENG13 so in your case, in the production order it will always display in decimals (eg 328.084 LK) .You can refer to note for more understanding about CUNI settings and IM postings 931971
Also the following threads:
UOM EA is taking data in decimals
The solution (this is more of workaround) I would suggest is you need to implement a BAdI WORKORDER_GOODSMVT in which it will round off according the logic you mentioned in your posts above. Also you need to implement a user exit for CO11N/CO11/15 to confirm the same yield according to the same rounding logic. Since yours is MTO you need to evaluate the impact of this in other areas mainly controlling and finance.

  • Production Order - planed qty is below than issued

I created a production order for the manual component with qty 10. Then issued 10. Then I try to change Planned Qty to 1 and get a message :
"planed qty is below than issued"
Can you please explain me what is a reason for this?
    Thanks,
    Olga

    Hi Olga,
Please check the following explaination in the Document resource centre for the Production Bill :
Planned Quantity u2013 Enter the required quantity of the parent item to be produced. 1 is the default quantity for this field. You can change the quantity as long as the Production Order is still a Planned status. You can also change the quantity when the order is Released, however the quantity could not be decreased below the completed quantity of the parent item.
    Hope it clarifies.

  • How to allocate external process cost on the units of Production order

    Hi Gurus,
I am facing a cost allocation issue.
The scenario is a make-to-stock scenario in discrete manufacturing industry. I am using production order (PP01) and confirming the material issued to production and operations manually. There is an electrical cost incurred by the client. The total cost of electricity is allocated on the number of units that comes out from the production. Say, total electrical cost is 1000, number of units produced using the production order is 100, then per unit is charged 10 (1000/100).
Can anyone help me how can I perform the cost allocation? Should I go for an activity type in work center OR should I use the cost sheet. Kindly help me.
    Thanks and Regards,

    Hi
activity type would be better choice...

  • To restrict Issue for production than planned qty in production order

    Hi Experts,
In my scenario, the production staff will prepare production order and right click in production order document and select "Issue Components" option to Issue raw materials for production floor. After issuing the raw materials to production floor closes the "Issue for Production" document and now we have "Production Order" document open in screen. When he again select "Issue Components" option and issues the raw materials once again. Materials are issued once again wrongly. This happens since the production order document is not getting refresh after "Issue for Production" document is done.
Is there any way to restrict issue of raw materials than the planned qty.?
I have tried lot of ways to restrict this through SP. Please revert me an solution to this issue.
The procedure should trigger immediately when the "Issue Components" option is selected second time (If the raw materials are issued in full in first time itself). And it should allow only the qty which is to issued to production order qty (if they issue part issue to production order)
    Thanks in advance
    Raja.S

    Hi Neetu,
Thanks for your quick response. I have tried this query. But it is not blocking the issue for production document even the raw materials are issued already for the production order.
I'll explain my work flow again. The Production staff will prepare production order and then release the same and update the production order after changing  the status for "Release". Then he will right click the Mouse button and select "Issue Components" option and perform the Issue for Production process. He will issue the required raw material completely in one shot and add the Issue for Production document.
After adding the Issue for Production document he will close that document and now we will be in Production order document. Now our production order document will not get refreshed. Now the Production staff go for "Issue components" option, then it should not allow him to issue the components once again. But it is allowing him to issue components any number of times. there is no control.
If we browse the production order document to previous record and browse back to the same record then my Production order document get refreshed and now we can control the issue. But what should i do to control in the earlier case. Since they want to perfrom lot of production order, there is a chance to issue components for same production order more than one time before the production order document get refreshed.
Please provide me the SP to control this scenario.
    Thanks in advance.

  • Help with SQL Code - Production Order with Manual Issue Method

    Hi,
    I need some assistance here.
I need to retrieve Production Order which has component's issue method = 'M'.
    Eg:
Production Order #50001 has 4 components.
    Component A, issue method = 'M'
    Component B, issue method = 'B'
    Component C, issue method = 'B'
    Component D, issue method = 'M'
Production Order #50002 has 2 components.
    Component B, issue method = 'B'
    Component C, issue method = 'B'
When I run the query, I want to display the Production #50001 componenets simply because in this Production Order, it contains components with issued method 'M'.   However, Production #50002 will not be displayed because no components are with issued method = M.
    Appreicate any help in advance.

No, this is not what I need.
To put in IssueMethod in the where clause will only gives me the component line with Manual.
    Please refer to the example.
I have a production order which, its components have combination of issue method = 'Manual' as well as Backflush.
I need to display all of them within the Production Order if the production order contain any line which has issue method = Manual.

  • Report to check open reservations for production orders where GI not posted

    Hi experts,
Can we get reservation details from any report/ table for production order where material has not been issued, report should also display the value of the reserved material.
I could not find desired details in RESB (it has price but not value) and MB25.
Thanks in advance, useful ansers will be rewarded.
    Thnx
    Anand

    Hello Anand,
there is no report but you may use the production order info system with list "components" and create a layout contaning the issued quantity and/or the final issue indicator. With a correct sorting, the list should show all orders with non-issued components at the top.

  • Production orders not to be considered during MRP run

    Dear SAPeers,
i want to know how to ensure that open production orders are not considered during the MRP run.
    the following is the scenario.
PIR for march after MRP run creates a planned order. this planned order is converted to production order. now this production order is processed but not completely confirmed and TECOed after a certain quantity has been produced.
now we delete the old PIR and create a new PIR in the next month. now we revoke the TECO status of the production order and run MRP. I want to know how to avoid MRP from considering the open production order and create planned order for the complete PIR quantity.
    Thanks and Regards
    Srinivasan

    Srini,
what i am worried is shortfall of raw materials in case they were to open the production order in the current month after the planning has been done. how do we allocate raw materials for both the plan as well as the open production order?
Okay, you presumably had RM available for all of your production orders (and those RM were balanced by the reservations from the production orders).  Now, you TECO the production order.  In effect, any un-issued RM are now released and freely available for other orders/planned orders.  Now you plan the following month.  Those RM that were freed can and will be used for the new plan.  Odd business process, but OK.  Now, you re-open the production orders, and, yes, you will have a shortage unless you run RM MRP again.  This is, ah, inconsistent with any business process I have ever seen.
The question that jumps to mind is, "Why re-open the old production orders at all?  Alternatively, why were they TECOd in the first place?"  If one knows that he intends to complete an order in production, one does not normally TECO the order, and then later reverse the TECO.
With respect to my name, I must unfortunately keep a low profile.  Ever since I escaped from the mental institution, the thought-police have been hunting for me. I do not wish to be the recipient of any further electroshock 'treatments'.

  • Error in BDC using 'N' mode while creating production order

    Hi,
I am trying to create a production order  ( transaction CO01 ) by using a BDC. I just have to fill the header details, components , assign the component to operation , save and exit. When I am running the BDC in 'A' or 'E' mode, it works fine. The 'E' mode doesnt stop anywhere and successfully creates the production order . But when I change the mode to 'N', it throws an error "No batch input data for the screen SAPLCOKO1 0115". I am using Call transaction in BDC to create the production order. What could be the issue? Can someone throw some light?
    Thanks,
    Suganya

    Hi Suganya,
I guess that Chandra Madapati is right. I also faced the same issue for another transaction.
If you want to disable the batch input (sy-binpt), you can use the addition OPTIONS FROM in call transaction statement.
It refers to the structure CTU_PARAMS in ABAP dictionary and contains the following components:
    Component
    Meaning
    DISMODE
Processing mode for batch input processing. Values as for the MODE addition.
    UPMODE
Processing mode for batch input processing. Values as for the UPDATE addition.
    CATTMODE
CATT mode for batch input processing. CATT means Computer Aided Testtool. While batch input is mostly used for data transfer, CATT processes are to be viewed as more complex transactions, since they are reusable tests. Values: " " (no CATT mode), "N" (CATT without single screen control), "A" (CATT with single screen control).
    DEFSIZE
Selection as to whether the screens of the called transaction are displayed in the standard screen size. Values "X" (standard size), " " (current size).
    RACOMMIT
Selection as to whether the COMMIT WORK statement terminates batch input processing or not. Values: " " (COMMIT WORK terminates processing), "X" ( COMMIT WORK does not terminate processing).
    NOBINPT
Selection for the symbol field sy-binpt. Values: " " (sy-binpt contains in the called transaction "X"), "X" (sy-binpt contains in the called transaction " ").
    NOBIEND
Selection for the system field sy-binpt. Values: " " (sy-binpt contains "X" after the end of the batch input data in the called transsaction ) "X" (sy-binpt contains " " after the end of the batch input data in the called transaction).
In this, if you give NOBINPT as 'X', the system field sy-binpt becomes disabled. You can also set the processing mode and update mode using DISMODE and UPMODE respectively.

  • Abap dump error while release Production order

    Dear Gurus,
Abap dump error is creating while release production order , pour some light on this issue.
    Regards,
    Kamal

    Hello,
use transaction ST22 to analyze the error type. There you have the detail of the error message, the program and the line of the ABAP code where the dump was triggered.

  • Cost center for Production Order

    Hi all,
We are now not able to get a report of Material consumption cost, Cost center wise. It is Because cost center is not linked to Production order or not linked to material issued to production order. Can we get the cost of material cosumption for  production order cost center wise. Please give us a solution.
    With Regards,
    R.Mahendiran.

    Hi,
Prod order is linked with controlling, for the direct costs like material cost linked with accounting view, costing view and secondary costs are linked with costing tab in work center and inturn workcenter is assigned to cost center, and for the prod order controlling part you will be assigned to the costing variant in transaction OPL8, if you remove this you can't get any reports.
    To understand the difference
201 - Goods issue against cost center. Means you create reservation through MB21 and do posting of cost directly at cost center.
261 - Goods issue to Production order. Means you create a reservation through Production order  and do posting of cost to Production order. When cost settlement of production order is done cost from production order will get transfered to cost center mentioned in settlement rule of production order.
    Hope this clarifies your doubt.

  • Production order link to raw Material

    Hi
    Experts
We have manual Production order system (NO MRP)
    System works like this
Work order (Manually given to Production) Part name Material Qty and Dispatch date.
    Finish Material A
This contains semi finish material X, Y, Z
X contains Raw material and Scrap Generated
    Y contains X and Scrap
    Z Contains Y and Scrap
    Finish A Contains Z material
Then Production people create the sub semi finish Production order of X before he checks raw material from store and accordingly by calculating he create Production order of X then Production order of Y and Z and then Create Production Order Of Finish Material.
Our problem is that as we create manually Production order the material issued from store we are not able to link with the production order.
As this material is issued to this production order. How to map this?
The other issue is regarding consumables we also want to map this to Production order. Like Coolant used and inserts used on work center how to map?
    Please guide me.
    Thanks & Regards
    Pert

    Hi,
If you are creating production orders with CO08 (With reference to sales order ) then RM tracking can easily be done.
Just need to give sales order number in COOIS report or in table AFPO it will give you all the production orders and RM can be traced till FG.
But if you have MTS then the calculation must be assumption basis .
If the same RM used in same SFG with different production orders then that might be impossible to trace without batch and sales order.
Now you want to trace tool then use PRT
You need to create material as PRT .
Assign that PRT in routing with Usage formula .
So PRT will be copied on production order with routing . When ever you will confirm the operation the usage value of PRT will be updated.

  • In production order the cost analysis report  is not displaying correct

    Hi,
when i create production order and do some posting activities i could not see the GR  cost row  details in the cost trend report in the production order.
i could see the goods issue, confirmations and overhead rows segments in it. but i could not see the goods receipt tab in the <b>cost trend report .</b> where the implication lies can u suggest.
    regards
    madan

    Hi,
In t.code oplr (order type dependent parameters) check in the controlling tab if you have given the costing variant as PPP2 for the Actual cost calculation & PPP1 for the planned cost for your order type.

  • Error in cost calculation for production order

    Dear All,
I got error of cost calculation while release of Production Order due to price of some material is not mantain .
What will happen if I release , save the Order with error & do Good Issue ???
    Ishwar

    Dear Ishwar,
Check the log's created for costing and rectify the same.
I feel its better to rectify the cost related errors and then release the production order and proceed to Good's Issue.
Check whether there is a MAP for all the Raw-materials and an origin group in costing 1 view.
The Finished product must be having a standard cost estimate that's valid for the current period.
Revert back in case of any more help needed.

-we have created two production orders from MRP run. First one is for semi finished material and second one is for finished material.
    Issue-1
Both production orders not showing material cost in production order plan cost...
    Issue-2
When i consumed raw material against semi-finished material production order (261-E), system not gnerated any document and material cost not updated either in production order or sales order...
where should i do changes in configuration to get updated material cost in the production order...
    Best regards
    Kishore

    Hi
Issue 1 : Check Whether Standard cost is present for header material of prod order, and under control tab of order costing variant for plan is present.
    Issue 2 : Use 261 instead 261E.
