Profile Scheduler

Personally I think this is something that is really lacking from the phone. I know you can manually switch profiles but doesn't it make sense to be able to set up a schedule to change the profile for you automatically? I just think this should be a native app for so many reasons.
It would allow users to:
-set up a Car profile so that Bluetooth is automatically enabled to pair with in car systems (hands free is a legal requirement in many places these days ie. Ontario)
-set up a Work profile so that IM messages and other alerts that I can ignore aren't driving me nuts all day long in meetings. A majority of people have fairly standard work hours that could match a profile schedule or create one that would match their lifestyle.
-conversely, set up a Weekend profile so that I don't miss any of my friends instant messages or phone calls (that Bar profile scheduled to kick in every Saturday night would be nice too to either jack up the volume, play that swanky ringtone or whatever)
-Stay silent at night so the wifes beauty sleep isn't disturbed
-etc...
Now here's what I'd most like to see included with everything I've already mentioned. USE THE GPS!! Allow the profiles to be scheduled or location activated. If I'm moving- why not assume I'm in a car and enable my Car profile with Bluetooth? It could even detect airplane speeds and enable airplane mode (with confirmation of course, afterall I could be cruising in my buddies Lambo!). Switch to Home profile when I walk in the door of my house. It knows where I work so adjust accordingly. I'm soooo... missing this application!!
Obviously this program should allow you to:
-create profiles
-create schedules for them to kick in and shut off
-change the schedule for each day of the week and distinguish weekday from weekend
-have in holster and out of holster options for each profile
-set and store the location triggers for the profiles
-be able to set a proximity distance for the profile to kick in (100m from house switch to Home profile)
Oh yeah, some other observations:
-CDMA data counter APIs
-true Ring AND Vibrate

Unable to edit or create profiles in X6 16gb

Hello everyone,
I bought my new X6 2 weeks ago and am experiencing some troubles. Particularly, when I go to Settings>Personal>Profiles and try to edit an existing profile, nothing happens at times. Also, it does not let me create a new profile.

I've had the same issue on my X6-00. Backing up 25GB of music licences isnt going to be an option for me after the last mess around I had trying to sort them all out on format when I was told a backup would save them.
I initially thought it was a profile scheduler that was stopping me from managing profile but having just recently done a hard reset I've now got the problem back without having profile management on the handset.
Frustraiting to say the least. Its a love/hate relationship with this handset. This issue has been around since f.w 11 and is still present.

Able to schedule when incoming calls use ringer or vibrate only?

I'm planning on getting a Pearl 8120 as soon as my discount kicks in at T-Mobile, and there's a feature I'm really hoping it has or that there's an app that'll do it for me. I'd like to be able to schedule when incoming phone calls notify me with vibrate only and when they use an audible ring tone. Something like: 8am-10am vibrate only, 10am-2pm ringer on, 2pm-5pm vibrate only, 5pm-8am ringer on, etc., A weekend vs weekday mode would be great also. Is this possible? I didn't see anything about in the pdf manual, but I'm still hoping.

For future searchers, I did find two that would do it, but there's a catch to them. Due (according to them) Blackberry's built-in security, neither can make the changes while the keyboard is locked. If the keyboard is locked at a time when you've scheduled a change from vibrate to audible ringer (or vice versa), they'll notify you by vibrating the phone that it is time to make the change, but the user has to unlock the phone momentarily to allow the change to be made.
They are Toysoft's Profiler and the other one is called Profile Scheduler.

From MM perspective to integarte with PS there is very little Customizing required. But for proper reporting you can create
Projects relevant purchasing organization & purchase groups for Project procurement, new PR, PO document types to identify the PS procurements.

Problems with N97 after upgrade to v11 software

Hi, after upgrading to v11, I thought I found my N97 slower. For example, the time take from the click of the "New message" icon till the time the SMS message writing app is ready for input can sometimes take like 3 seconds. Does any have a similar experience?
Also, not sure if it matters that much, but it does make me uncomfortable. The "C:" drive has only about 10MB free. It was like 20MB before my firmware upgrade (which is plenty too small still, imho). This is even after clearing the web browser cache (which I suspect is going into "C:" drive). Is this something to worry about? Is there a way to increase free space? What happens when I run out of space?

and the phone is actually faster then it was prior to update. i do clean the cache diligently as it does take up some space. i have not run out of memory yet. make sure all the apps and stuff that you don't need are not running in the background

Integrating MDMP and Unicode systems with IDoc interfaces

Hi,
We are working on integrating SAP R/3 6.20 (MDMP) with SAP PI 7.0 SP10 (Unicode) system. The source will send MATMAS or CLFMAS IDocs with Thai / Japanese characters and PI should transform and post it to SAP ECC 5.0 Target system [IDoc to IDoc scenario].
( SAP R/3 Legacy 620 - Non-Unicode / MDMP ) |----> ( XI - Unicode) -> (ECC - Unicode)
Had a look at few SAP notes (745030 ,656350 and 613389) and it looks like there is no standard way/best practice to handle this scenario.

My understanding per SAP Notes: (Please correct me if I'm wrong)
a. For MDMP integraton we can't use Standard ALE Config instead we have to use Custom Configuration (IDoc collection setting in Partner profile &Scheduling RSEOUT002/RSEOUT00_MDMP and use Function module :IDOC_INBOUND_ASYNCHRONOUS_2 ).
b. The RFC Destinations should use proper logon langauage for correct MDMP IDoc transfer (For sending IDocs with Japanese character, the logon language should be JP).
c. If we want to transfer IDocs in more than one language we need to create multiple Partner profiles/RFC destinations each with specific logon language.
Please guide us in integrating these systems if you have done a similar integrations, following are my questions:
1] Is there any configuration change required at PI layer?
2] Do we need to install codepages in PI Unicode system for all languages used or Unicode system is capable of handling all the languages?
3] Is it necessary to install any SAP Add-on package in R/3 MDMP system inorder to support MDMP to Unicode data transfer?
3] If we want to send MATMAS/CLFMAS IDoc with Thai/Japanese characters from same system, what are the changes required at the Source system?
(Source may send MATMAS/CLFMAS IDoc with either Thai/Japanese characters but not both of them in a single IDoc)
4] Can we use regualr ALE & Partner profile settings for handling multi-byte characters or we need to use IDoc collection and RSEOUT002/RSEOUT00_MDMP report for transfer?
5] Is there any restrictions on the IDoc types (MATMAS,CLFMAS etc) supported in MDMP-Unicode integration solution.
5] Is there any best practice document available for this scenario?
6] Do we need to involve SAP AG for MDMP to Unicode system integrations(As per SAP Note: 656350) ?

Hi Ananth,
as you have already mentioned, you need differents RFC destinations for each language. So you have to make sure, that the IDocs use the right destination according to there content.
If you have messages from PI to MDMP it is the same, you need different channels with different logon languages as well. You need an identifier in the message, that can be used for selecting the correct channel.
It should not be a restricting to any IDoc type, but it is not possible to post a message with different languages (which require different codepages) in one IDoc.
For correct conversion from a non unicode system to unicode, the codepages have to be installed in th OS of the PI server.

Problem regarding HRMD_A IDoc as outbound posting

I have a requirement to post the data for HIRING (PA40 - hiring action) as IDOC, for which i am using HRMD_A.
Client's specific requirement is to Post the data, as soon as the user completes with the hiring of the employee through PA40.
I tried to add the logic in the Save of the Infotype, but which infotype is the last screen, how we can confirm, because all the Infotypes are not compulsory, he may skip the screen.
How to trigger the IDoc creation....
Can anyone help to find the triggering point for the same or any other alternative.
Basically client dont want to schedule a job that would take care of the posting at particular decided time and neither for Change Pointers....
Is there any work around for the same?
Any suggestions would be of great help.

Set change pointer active for HRMD_A, turn direct processing on in the partner profile, schedule a job every n minutes to create idocs from change pointers. And choose the correct forum for this, cause this has nothing to do with abap.

External purchase requisition

Hi,
I'm in classic scenario. I'm in SRM 5.5.
I've been able to replicate the PR using the report BBP_EXTREQ_TRANSFER.
But my problem appears in SRM. I'm not been able to find the PR replicated.
I've read in other thread that I've to create an entry channel in the Organizational Plan but I don know how to do this last step.
Could anybody explain me this step?

Please ensure that following Settings are maintained in both SRM and R/3 systems.

-> set up sourcing configuration
R/3 Backend settings
-> maintain tables V_T160EX and V_T160PR
-> make sure to have a RFC connection to the EBP system, with the same RFC user as in the entry channel (with SAP_ALL and SAP_NEW Profiles)
-> schedule report BBP_EXTREQ_TRANSFER to transfer the requisitions to EBP
After customizing the direct material, there are additional steps necessary:
-> Using an entry channel, the requisitions are transferred into EBP. This channel must have at least one
entry user.
-> Corresponding to this entry user, you have to set up a RFC connection from back end to EBP by using
this special RFC user.
-> To get the requisitions in the work list for purchase orders, or in sourcing, there is a local purchasing
group required with the responsibility for the entry channel and the product category of the back-end
requisitions.
-> Customizing of sourcing or a BADI decides if the sourcing transaction or the work list for purchase
orders will be used
-> View V_T160EX in the R/3 back end determines which material groups and purchasing groups are
grouped into a profile. View V_T160PR determines which profile targets to which RFC connection.
-> The transfer itself is carried out by the report BBP_EXTREQ_TRANSFER. These can be scheduled (for example, once a day.)
Also to view the SC created becos of the external PR,goto trascn BBP_PD,enter Object type as BUS2121,Subtype as ER,Ext. Rqt Tracking No. as the PR no.Then you can see the details of the SC created for that PR in SRM!
Another solution would be to display the PR no for that SC in the sourcing cockpit to identify that PR and the corresponding SC!See the foll thread for the solution/sample code;

Mass processing will be used to transfer the SOP demand to demand management (operative planning... For this first you have to create demand for products or products group from MC87 or MC83 transactions.
You need to define transfer profile in custmizing.
Create job from MC8D and in varianat give the input of info structure (S076) and define the transfer profile.
schedule this in background. the SOP demand will be transferred to MRP as per the selection made in variant and in transfer profile.

Planning table ( REM)

Hi Experts,
When we opening planning table (mf50) with material selection ,then complete capacity data section is not appearing& in header view of capacity requirement planning (change capacity display isin grey color).
we have already set the parameter related to REM senario (e.g,rem profile,prod.schdl.profile,scheduling parameters (PE),w.c capacity data etc).
where i had mistake ,plz let me know....

Its a simple problem, you need to assign your resource to the production line field of the production version( use transaction C223 or MM02 in MRP4 view to make this correction). Once the production version has the Production line assigned you should be getting the Capacity data in MF50.

hi ! everyone can post the best feature / app that you have used on any other device and wish to have on the n97.

Creation Profile in Scheduling Agreement and Schedule LIne

Dear Experts,
Currently I'm working on Scheduling Agreement and Schedule Line.In standard SAP gives the provision of creation profile.I've gone through the SAP help documentation but I'm not clear on that.I've few doubts on creation profile.
1. I've created a profile say XXXX for 14 days JIT and 6 months Forecast.And I maintain the same on Scheduling Agreement additional data.
2.I'm creating delivery schedule respect ot Scheduling agrrement.
3. I maintain the aggregation horiozon in creation profile as 10 days daily aggregation for JIT and 120 days for monthly aggregation for forecast.
4.I run MRP for the header material and I maintain the necessary SA number in Source list.
5. After MRP run I'm not getting the respective schedule lines for JIT and Forecast.
6. What is the use of creation profile in Scheduling Agrrement and schedule line and is it determine ant schedule lines after MRP run.
Please clarify me on creaion profile.

Creation profile based schedule lines

Dear all,
I release the Forcasting schedules based on the creation profile assign to the Scheduling agreement (Lpa)
In the creation profiel i have maintained the Aggegation horizon as 0-60 (days), 60-90(weeks) and 60-999 (months).
after release when i checked the schedules the aggegation is not properly.
how system caculated the the aggegation whether it consider the working day only or calender days

Hi,
It depends upon the Planning Calendar specified in Creation profile customization.
R- Realtime means using ME38
MRP driven is self explanatory and are created by MRP when the source is fixed in sourcelist and MRP indicator maintained.
