Programs by SAP on ABAP WebDynpro

HI All,
I am new to WebDynpro, So want to look at some test programs given By SAP on WebDynpro, like we have SLIS package containing various standard ALV programs. Is there any similar Package, where I can have programs on Webdynpro explaining it's various features???

Whether Workflow Program Exit works in ABAP WebDynpro

Hi,
I have the custom workflow in which in each task i have given a program exit to update the status into my custom tables.
Now i'm in doing the change in workflow, that it should call the abap webdynpro screen, where the user decisions has to be made.
I'm getting the Workitem id from the UWL and then it lauches the Web Dynpro to choose either Approve, Reject or Change etc along with some other travel expense information.
Now once i complete the web dynpro by calling the method 'SAP_WAPI_WORKITEM_COMPLETE', the particular work item is completed.
I want to ask whether before this FM is called,whether the Program Exit which i have written in the Class method and which is called in the Workflow, whether it triggers or not?

It is calling the workflow program exit before the SAP_WAPI_WORKITEM_COMPLETE function module.

How to edit text of UI elements in sap standard ABAP webdynpro component

Hi All,
I have a requirement wherein I want to change the standard text of mainly LABEL UI in travel and expenses ABAP webdynpro components. As per my knowledge we canu2019t change UI text directly by changing it in layout in enhancement. We have to do it via wdmodify view method and post and pre exits methods.
Can you please help me with the steps that I have to follow and code?

Create a Pre Exit method for WDDOMODIFY method of the view , and in that method code somthing like this.
lo_button TYPE REF TO cl_wd_button.
lo_button ?= view->get_element( 'ID of button' ).
lo_button->set_text('New Text').

Best way to modify SAP standard ABAP Webdynpro in SRM 7?

Hi there,
I am used to making ITS changes on SRM 5 and am now working with SRM 7.
I now need to add some custom fields to the PO screen/s within SRM 7 (incorporating some customizing include fields) and would like to know if there is a "recommended way" of doing this? Meaning with ITS it was easy....I went to the HTML template, made the change and that was it.
I assume I would have to find the ABAP webdynpro for PO in SE80, and then would I just get an ACCESS KEY for the object and make the changes? Or is thier some enhancement framework that I do not know about?
Any help would be greatly appreciated..

I have added custom fields as you said. it is working fine.
Now the user wants to display description for the custom added fields.can you let me know how we can proceed for this.
Also let me know for the standard fields if want to display description can be achieved through customization or need to do abap development..

Modifiy a standard ABAP Webdynpro program

I'm beginig with ABAP Webdynpro (i already read tutorials and make some easy program for display Z table) , but i need to modify some SAP standard abap webdynpro program, wich contains a tabstrip with 2 tabs ; i need to add a third tab.
I need investigate about how to do this and how debug it , when i execute the program send me to the web page with program executing but i really do not know how can i debug it.
Does sombebody can help me about where can i read how to modify a standard abap webdynpro program ? and how can i debug a webdynpro program ?
Any help will be appreciated.

Does somebody knows where can i investigate about how to modify a standar abap webdynpro program ?
I know about to enhancement a standar abap program (exits, Badis, screen exits, enhancements points, etc.) but i really do not know if a standar abap webdynpro program can be enhanced and how to do this.
My requirement is modify a standard webdynpro program wich shows a tabstrip with 2 tabs, i need to add one more tab to program.
Any help will be aprecciated.

SU24 proposals and defaults for ABAP webdynpros

I am keen to hear from forum members on the best approach for adding SU24 proposals / defaults to custom and/or SAP standard ABAP webdynpros ? I have seen 3 options used:
1. manually inserted auth objects i.e. don't rely on SU24
2. use dummy Z t-codes to propose auth objects via SU24
3. generate a hash table entry for the webdynpro (function module AUTH_TRACE_WRITE_USOBHASH) so that it can then be found as a TADIR service in SU24 and auth objects added

Hi,
there is 4th option. Activate temporally parameter auth/authorization_trace and run all you web dynpro applications. This will create a record for each authorization check performed in you application in transaction SU22. Then maintain default values and move them to SU24. It's better than using AUTH_TRACE_WRITE_USOBHASH because you don't need to enter manually all related authorization objects.
Option 1 - really bad option
Option 2 - this was my first workaround until I found FM AUTH_TRACE_WRITE_USOBHASH
Option 2 - this was my second workaround until I learned about auth/authorization_trace. BTW my assumption is that kernel directly calls FM AUTH_TRACE_WRITE_USOBHASH which is reason why I couldn't find any usage of this FM.

Can we rename the existing z-program in SAP-abap

Can we rename the existing z-program in SAP-abap. If yes, than how it can be done. But actually we don't want to copy the code from the existing z-program to the new one which will be created. We just want to make rename the existing z-program in SAP-abap. Please suggest, how it can be?

Hi Amit,
In SE38 Open the program with old name. Press the RENAME button. In the Target program field provide the new name of program name. This new name for program should not exist in your system. Click on the Rename button. It will give a pop-up where it ask if you want to rename any includes in that program. I assume you dont have any includes in the program. So press the Rename button again without selecting the "Include" check box. Now it will ask for the Transport request. Provide your Transport request number. The program will be renamed.

I require a custom report to get the employee details in form and they can fill their travel expenses and other expenses manually in the form and that should be send to manager for approval.
I don't know from which Infotype I can get these details for the specific employee who are logged in to ESS, what are the Function Modules and which workflow process we can use for the approval ...Etc

You need to write the code in the application system ie., in R3 or BW or SRM etc. Also you need to have the developer key access to do it. If you dont have then try to create as a local object so that it will not ask for the key. If it is local object you will not able to transport to QA. But if you are practising you can take this option.

SAP SRM Workflow Options: Winshuttle or ABAP WebDynpro

We are implementing SRM. Our considerations for SAP Workflow are Winshuttle with an MS Sharepoint Site,or,ABAP WebDynpro. Does anyone have any experiences or suggestions that they could share that could help us to make a desicion. Or, another method that is cost efficient and easily supportable?

Hi Tom,
Workflow component is in built in SRM. You donu2019t need any external component for it.
There are 2 types of workflow supported by SAP SRM.
1. Application Controlled Workflow
2. Process Controlled Workflow (BRF)
You can use BRF if you are implementing SRM 5.0 & above.
I think you should explore more on SRM workflows; it will certainly give you insight on workflow implementation.

Display SAP's Business Worklplace with Abap WebDynpro

Hello,
You cannot put SAP GUI applications/transactions into a web dynpro component.
But you could build your own custom WD component. It isn't that hard to get the work items from your business workplace to be displayed in a custom application. Check the function modules GETINBOX (or there might be possibly something starting with SAP_WAPI* - SAP_WAPI-starting functions are the standard workflow API functions). Basically you just give for the function the user ID and it will return you the list of items the user is having in his business workplace. Then there are useful functions in SAP_WAPI* to for example display the work item description, etc.
I am not sure how you can get the notifications (="emails") from business workplace, but I would imagine that there is some function you can use similarly and it shouldn't be that hard.
Of course, if you have Portal, you should definately take UWL into account. With UWL you will already have a standard web-enabled workplace (it has basically all the same functionalitites as Business Workplace.) From UWL you can even launch the same SAP GUI transactions that you are currently launching from the tasks in workplace. It is purely an configuration issue.

    i know inside of SAP script we can c perform action but in my case there is no perform action written in script,
they are directly using call function open form in pgm .

ABAP webdynpro with interactive form - launching failure

We are doing some prototype in the solution manager box using ABAP webdynpro and Adobe Interactive Form. I created a webdynpro with a very simple Adobe form embedded in an view.
