Authorization challenge in Project system

Hi,
We seek to solve an authorization challenge in Project system with use of the authorization object K_PCA together with the PS authorization objects C_PROJ_PRC and C_PRPS_PRC. Hence, the client seek an authorization solution for Report Painter/ writer reports using the standard Profit Centre hierarchy. Assistance in this matter is highly appreciated.

You can create checks on projects and WBS elements by company code/profit centre. We looked at all PS auth objects and nothing really fit the bill for us so In the end we activated some user exits associated with project systems and created a couple of new auth objects which were called in specific code placed in the user exits. When the exists are activated, they are checked whenever the specific project information is displayed. So long as your report writer reports use the PS logical database for reporting, you will call these exits.
In our example, we had logic that checked at a project definition level that checked the company code of the project definition, and at WBS element line item check - to extract profit centre and display/not display as appropriate. Of course you can make your logic work however you like when the exits are opened up.
You can find more information on them by going into the IMG; SPRO > Project System > Authorization Management > Enhancement Create Auth Check. The documenation is also quite good too.

We are implementing a RPM solution in our BI 7.0 system. We have a requirement where we need to link RPM data with cProjects(Project, Task) and Projects Systems (Status, WBS Elements, so on) data.
Could some one give me the links/documents related to linking the above objects.

Use this View as your datasource to extract data.

Dates (Identification Using External ID) and Dates (Identification Using GUID)
Earned Value (Identification Using External ID) and Earned Value (Identification Using GUID)
what is the diffrence bet ween External ID and GUID.
Cleint will use two types oe he can choose either of one?
Please provide some use ful documents PS Extrators.

Is there any diffrences extracting data from Ps system compare to LO and FICO modules.

Project Systems Business Content - Residual Order Plan

Hi all,
I a issue which I hope someone can help me with:
I am lodading data into cube 0PS_C08 and then into 0PS_C04 as per the BC. When I view the BC restricted key figure "residual order plan" i get nothing (blank).
I look in R/3 I have values for residual order plan. I have looked at the Help on SAP and they say there is some config that needs to be done in SPRO. I dont really understand what config needs to be done can someone help?

In the help.sap.com or best practices ,There is no detail explanation is available (Source field,source table or logic to get the field).
Some of the data sources don't have documentation.
I hope many of you implemented Project Systems.

Cost VS Time S Curve in Project Systems

Hello,
I have configured Project Systems Progress Analysis and I am able to see values in CNE5. In CNE5 I am able to extract graphs for each column (e.g BCWP,BCWS, SV, CI etc) through menu Goto -> Graphic -> Totals Curve, but the user requires a Cost Vs Time Earned Value Curve also known as the S-Curve. Is it possible to extract S-Curve,consisting of Schedule Var and Cost Var, in SAP Project Systems ?
If it is then kindly let me know the procedure

I have found two options
Option 1 :
Go to CNE5 report,
Then click on the description of WBS element or main WBS element. You will get Drill down report for Period Overview.
Go to graphics icons and choose Period D Down. There you will get display for S-Curve
Option 2:
Go to CN41, select PD or WBSE...Goto>period breakdown...it will take u to new screen where u will have Periods in LHS and Plan cost, Actual costs, Budget etc., in RHS...then click on any column say Actual cost then goto>Graphic>Period Breakdown....U will see period in x-axis and Actual cost in Y-axis.

PSPNR, PSPHI fields in Project systems

Hi BW Experts,
Currently I am developing Project System reports.I need to extract Project related information by comparing with PRPS (WBS Element) and AFKO table. I dont find most of the fields in any of the PS data sources.
Do I need to enhance these fields or is there any other data source holding this fields.
PROJ - PSPNR
PRPS PSPHI
AFKO PRONR
BSIK - NPLNR
Please help on this.

You can use the enhancement CNEX0007.
There is a sub screen SAPLXCN1 / 0700 which you have to create and include the fields in that screen.

Project system extractors in BI

hi,
We are trying to generate reports in BI, based on 'Statistical Key-Figures' in Project Systems.
These Stat KF's are coming from Network activity level from PS in ERP. (CJ20N, KB33N)
The fields are :
StatKF (STAGR)
SKF Rate (SKFRATE)
Doc. Date (BLDAT)
Quantity (MBGBTR)
Do we have Data sources in ERP (Tr : RSA5) which contain these fields, so that we can replicate these in BI and use it to load data and then generate reports?

Check Project system tables like PROJ etc and create a View for the fields you want.
Use this View as your datasource to extract data.

0PS_C02 - Project System dates cube

Hi All,
Data is loaded to 0PS_C02 - Project System dates cube.
But when i run the mile stone trend analysis Business content report, It does not report any values.
The reason being a filter on Origin( 6= Mile stone trend analysis).
When i checked the cube contents, There is no records of origin as 6.
But R/3 functional consultant reporting there are some milestone trend analysis value against some projects.
When i checked the records in RSA3 extractor checker The Origin values are junk(i mean either unassigned/blank).
Do i need to maintain any application specific settings related to datasources in SBIW in order to extract with correct origin values?
Any help greatly appreciated.

Interest Posting Periodic Allocation from Project System

I am creating an automatic interest posting as part of the periodic allocations from the project system. We have new GL active and run parallel ledgers. The FI posting is into all ledgers, any idea how I can control posting to one ledger only?

I tried defining an extract layout which assigned to the project type I am using and then creating an evaluation layout using the extract layout.
However, it didn't really work as expected. In my scenario actual costs originate in cProjects (when the task is completed and the actual number of hours are entered in the confirmation field). Actual costs are not captured in the internal order. In this case if I define an evaluation will it update the actual cost if I define threshold value formula as follows (for testing I made it actual = planned just to see if I get a value).
actual cost = confirmation * unit cost for task/role
If the above is possible;
1. How do I define the attribute and object types for unit cost for task/role which is based on the cost/revenue rates setup for the role? For example how do I find out the values for attribute and type name fields?
2. I was under the impression that evaluations can only generate a report based on the existing values and update the criticality level field a threshold condition is defined. Is my understanding of this function incorrect?
Apologies for all the questions, but I am still unclear how to update the actual cost which originates as result of cProject task confirmation to the internal order.

How to create the Custom project System as Web Project

I have created a custom project system using this walkthrough. But
this walk through is targeting Visual C# project system. I need to create the Custom project system as Web project and set the start up page as index.html file. How can I achieve this?
Note:
I have got the Custom project system sample from VS2013 SDK samples(https://mpfproj12.codeplex.com/).
But it demonstrate the Custom console applications only.

So you didn't even follow this walkthrough yet? If you did, how did you do it?
I failed to create such a web project system because I finally messed up my VS experimental instance. But it's possible to create a custom web project system, by following this walkthrough. Someone else has successfully made it, check this
link.
The difference is that you have to use web project type instead of the console application project type. You could copy a web project's .csproj file into the VSPackage project and rename it to xxx.myproj. There's an error in the walkthrough that the AssemblyInfo.cs
file should be put into Properties folder and set the "Build Action" property to Content, "Include in VSIX" to true.

to create quote from project system there is quite a bit of PS ( project system ) SD integration is required. i will try my best to deliver with whatever time i have right now.
1. t-code -CKCM - your will define easy cost planning here whihc will be your pricing factor in in sales order.
2. ODP1- you define DIP profile here you will also define your costing elements here. this DIP profile is attached to sales doc type. and on main menu you will find button that says quotation. click on that. this willd irectly take you to quote and from there u can take it forward.
I hope it helps u little. Though i know its not enough.

About reversal of Outbound delivery generated from Project system due to sale return

We have made delivery from project system using t.code CNS0 and billing document is generated with reference of sales order. Now Goods is return by customer due to some technical reason, We created return sales order with reference of billing document and Credit memo with reference of Return sales order.
What is T.code for making return delivery or reversal of Delivery /PGI generated from Project system in sap r/3 ?
Pls. suggest to me.

Hello,
it depends whether in the billing document the material codes identifies the goods delivered and to be returned or not.
If it's so, you can create a Return Sales Order with reference to the billing document, create the return delivery, and then the credit memo.
If it's non so, you can create a Return Sales Order with reference to the billing document (but without copying the material items, and entering manually material code and quantity to be returned), then create the return delivery. Then you can create a Credit memo request with reference to the Billing Document or with reference to the Return Sales Order.
To create the return delivery, you can run VL01N with reference to the Return Sales Order (just like for outboud deliveries), or from VA02, following the menu path "Sales document --> Deliver".
