Prompting logon screen in remote system..

Hi All,
I have developed a RFC function module in B system and when i call this RFC function module from A system (for displaying a ALV report with the data fetched from B system), to my surprise it is prompting the logon screen of B system for entering the details, when we enter the logon details and press enter, then automatically it is taking us back to A system and displaying the report.
Now the problem is can we get the data from B system and display the report in A with out prompting the logon screen of B system.
Thank you in advance.
Regards,
Venu Gudala.

Hi,
Go to SM59 transaction and enter the RFC destination of system B
and then go to the second tab i.e. logon/security and then enter the client, user and password details and then save it.
then check if its working fine....

Siddarth

  • Calling Remote function tool leads always to a logon screen

    Hello,
I run an remote function tool in system A. In System B I run a report calling this function module.
Each time, I execute the report, a remote logon screen appears. It looks the same like the one you logon the system. You have to specifiy client, user and password.
I know one possibilty to avoid this logon screen appeaering.
System B (holding the function module) must declare System A as a trusted system. Thus, the user does not need to logon system B, each time calling the func. module. I processed this in correspondence with the help data, but the screen still appears.
Is there any other possibilty to avoid appearing the logon screen or does anybody know wheter I did something wring??
    thanks, holger

    Hi Holger,
    1. This has to do with tcode SM59 (Maintain RFC Connections)
THE CALLING SYSTEM HAS NOT DEFINED
USER ID / PASSWORD TO LOGON TO THE TARGET SYSTEM.
HENCE, IT SHOWS BLANK LOGIN SCREEN
    2. Under the node RFC Destinations ---> R/3 Connections,
various systems are defined for RFC Purpose.
    3. Lets say ur system(which u want to connect) is PRD.
    4. Double Click PRD and go the the details.
    5. There are 3 Tabs. Goto LOGON/SECURITY TAB.
    6. In the logon information , enter the
       USERID and password and client.
    7. Save.
    Then try your program.
    Hope this helps.

  • How to display a specific SAP logon screen per system?

    Hello,
I woud like to display a logon screen which contains system-specific information, e.g. for the QAS system it would be something like "This system was created by a system copy from PRD on MM/DD/YYYY"...
I have gone through the SAP Note 205487 and my understanding is that I have to create the ZLOGIN_SCREEN_INFO in the development (changeable) system and transport it.
Note 205487 : "Creating/changing this text requires a changeable system. Therefore, for production systems, SAP recommends maintaining the text in the upstream system and then transporting it."
Can anyone please provide me with some hints on how to create a different logon screen for each system and apply them via transport requests?
I prefer not to "open" the QAS system in order to create the logon screen because I would then have to "open" the productive system to create a different logon screen...
    Any help is appreciated.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Michel M.

    Hi Michel,

    Hi,
Are you on SP06? If so, and you are sure that the RFC connections have been set up correctly, as well as all the SPM related configuration at both the GRC and plug-in systems (SPM ID = Service type, SPRO etc), you probably need to consider implementing the following SAP note https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1652880.
This fixed a similar issue I had when we moved to SP06. I understand that this note is delivered as part of SP07 now.
    Hope that helps.

  • Remote Logon: logon screen appears?!

    Hello,
From System A I call a remote function module in system B. I always get a logon screen when calling the remote function module in system B.
From System A I call the function module for many systems besides system B in a loop. So if there could appear a logon screen (calling the remote function tool in the system) I would skip it and go to the next system.
I need something like... "If a logon screen appears during remote logon -> Skip calling that function module in that system."
Does anybody know how to solve it?
    thx,
    holger

    You mean the function module.
sorry but i use 4.6C. RFC_LOGIN ist not remote enabled!!!
    I can not use it!
What I mean is. The remote function module is on System B, C, D, E, F,...
I call this function module from system A only!
If I call the function module in system B, from system A, a logon screen appears.
I would not like to make any changes in system B,C,D,E,F...concerning SM59...
What happens, If the logon screen in system B appears. Could I catch that message in my report in system A (calling the remote function module in system B)?
So if i execute the report, I need to know whether a logon screen appears...my report has to.
If the logon screen appears, I would skip calling the function module in that system...same for system C,D,E,F,....
    thanks a lot,
    holger

  • "Program terminated in remote system NONE: Logon failed" when adding a new table

    Hello,
I set up a replication flow from a SAP ERP 6.0 EHP7 with SAP ASE 16.0 source to SAP HANA 1.0 rev 82 target
I am using a standalone SLT system NetWeaver 7.0 with DMIS 2011_1_731 (with SP 1 to 7).
I have 100 tables to replicate.
I succeeded to set up replication for 57 tables. These tables are replicating properly.
Whenever I try to add a new one (with LTRC transaction, Data Provisioning -> Start Replication), the new table is marked as 'Failed' after a little while.
When I press 'Show Error Log' button I got an obscure error message:
"Program terminated in remote system NONE: Logon failed "
I do not understand this message. I checked both on SAP ASE source and SAP HANA target. I am still able to connect against both source and target.
Can you please tell how to troubleshoot this error.
    Thanks in advance,
    Christian

First thank you for answering my questions. I really appreciate your answers.
    I rechecked the documentation.
"Application Operations Guide SAP Landscape Transformation Replication Server Document Version: 2.3 – 2014-07-08"
    Page 29 - 30
    3.5.2.2 Data Transfer Jobs
This section explains the relationship between the number of data transfer jobs and the number of available background work process.
Data transfer and data transformation processing on SLT server system is accomplished by the background work processes of the underlying SAP NetWeaver ABAP application server. Each job occupies 1 background work process in the SAP LT Replication Server system. For each configuration, the parameter Data Transfer Jobs restricts the maximum number of data load job for each mass transfer ID (MT_ID). In total, a mass transfer ID (MT_ID) requires at least 4 background jobs to be available:
 One monitoring job (master job)
     One master controller job
 At least one data load job
 One additional job either for the migration objects definition, access plan calculation or to change configuration settings in the Configuration & Monitoring Dashboard
    Example
If you set the parameter Data Transfer Jobs to 04 in a configuration “SCHEMA1”, a mass transfer ID 001 is assigned. As a result, the following jobs should be in the system:
    1 Master controller job: /1LT/IUC_REP_CNTR_001
     At most 4 parallel jobs for MT_ID 001: /1LT/IUC_LOAD_MT_001_001/~002/~003/~004
When configuring your data load or replication scenario, consider the following:
 Do not define more data transfer jobs than the number of available application server background work processes. If all available background work processes are already occupied by jobs, any other job will have to wait until a free work process becomes available. This can lead to long wait times until a new activity (for example creating triggers) can start, and can also result in significantly increased latency times for data replication.
 The number of dialog work processes in the source system corresponds 1:1 with the number of data transfer jobs in the SAP LT Replication Server system.
 Besides the work processes allocated by the data transfer jobs you need to provide additional available work processes for controller and monitoring jobs, the migration objects definition, access plan calculation or to perform configuration changes, and so on.
Sizing for SAP LT Replication Server involves determining how many work processes are required to perform the initial load of data into the target system within an acceptable timeframe, and accomplish the change capturing and the transfer of data changes to the target system within expected latency times.
Ensure that you add enough additional work processes to allow other required SAP LT Replication Server jobs to run.
Finally, you map the number of required application server work processes to their system resource consumption (CPU, memory, disc space) using the formulas provided by the SLT Sizing Guide.
With the simple formula below, you can calculate the number of required application server work processes (WPs) on the SLT Server for each active SLT configuration.
The number of required work processes can be determined by adding
 The Number of required data transfer jobs ,
 plus one background work process for Central Master (Monitoring) Job (only one per system!),
 plus one background work process for Master Controller Job,
 plus 3-5 additional empty background work processes (recommended per configuration),
 plus approx. 3 dialog work processes (recommended for each configuration).
Note: A lack of available free application server work processes can negatively affect the data load or data replication processes.
To summarize everything, the number of 'Data Transfer Jobs' must be set depending of the number of source tables, it is not the actual number of tables.
Assume that for my 100 tables I use 10 'Data Transfer Jobs' :
    - The number of work processes on the SLT server would be 20. I took the simple formula of the documentation:
    10 data transfer jobs ,
+ 1 background work process for Central Master (Monitoring) Job (only one per system!),
+ 1 background work process for Master Controller Job,
+ 5 additional empty background work processes (recommended per configuration),
+ 3 dialog work processes (recommended for each configuration).
    - The number of dialog processes on the source server would be 10 ( equal to the number of 'Data Transfer Jobs')
    Am I correct ?

  • Bypass Logon screen of the SAP R/3 system where WDA application resides

    Hi,
I created an application in WDA. I have another appplication in WDJ. On one of the views of WDJ application, I created a link to URL UI elem and provided WDA application's URL to it as a reference. When I click on the link to URL,  I expect that WDA should launch. But instead a logon screen appears. This logon screen is the logon screen of the SAP R/3 server in which I created the WDA application.
I want to bypass this logon screen. how do i do this ?
    Regards
    seventyros

For that you need to establish the SSO between the R/3 system and the JAVA system.
you can import the sso ticket form key store and then put it in abap stack..
or one more method is to give hardcoded user id and password in SICF for the web dynpro application.
however this approach is not recommended.

  • Logon screen

Every time I boot up my MBA, there is a logon screen asking for the user: me or Guest User.  The mouse is working but cannot select the user and I need to use the keyboard to select the user.  Can I skip this screen and show the password screen directly as it is my personal notebook and rarely have other user to use it.  Your guidance to accomplish it is appreciated.  Thanks!

You can avoid the login window altogether ...
Open System Preferences > Users & Groups then select the Password tab.
Click Login Options under the user column on the left.
You may need to click the padlock icon to make changes. You may be prompted for your admin password to continue.
Select your admin account from the pop up menu next to: Automatic login
    Restart your Mac.

i dont have Require Password for sleep and screen saver checked in the Security and Privacy preferences - and ive looked at other preferences for s setting that controls this - but couldnt find any
does anyone know what causes this and how to turn it off?

    Hello CG,
I think you can pre-define your language, using the parameter 'BspLanguage', in the the url defined at 'Error Pages' of BEX service.
    An example:
    /sap/public/bsp/sap/system/login.htm?sap-url=<%=PATHTRANS%>&BspLanguage=EN
You can also do other things, such pre-define the client, or show the option to change the password.
    An example:
Run default.htm of BSP system_public, to know the parameters available.
    /sap/public/bsp/sap/system/login.htm?sap-url=<%=PATHTRANS%>&BspClient=010&BspChangePasswordVisible=X

  • 2 logon screens when logging on to Portal

    Dear Experts,
When I log on to our SAP Portal (EP 7.01) i get prompted for username and password (the "standard" SAP Portal logon window) when i press "connect" i get a second windows looking pop up window where i have to type in the username and password once again.
How do I get the system to accept the logon with only the first portal logon? (i believe the second logon screen is related to the backend somehow).
Any help will be greatly appreciated!
    Thanks!
    Kind regards,
    Soren

    Dear Vinod,
    Thank you for your reply!
I checked the settings in dev, q/a and prod portal and the setting is as you described - basic password module - sufficient. We have deployed a new SP on dev and Q portals, I am however not sure if this triggered the "second" logon window.
Actually right now I am not able to get the second logon window, but i was prompted this morning. Can it be a browser issue? Or can it be because we are not using SSL / httpS?
    Thanks!

  • Standard Logon screen background color

    Hello,
I have about 60 domain computers that I would like to change the Logon screen background without having to go to each computer and changing it. Is there a way to push it out through domain GPO or another more productive way.
Also why is my logon screen background different, when I log in remotely to my workstation, then if I logged in at my desk?
    Thank you,
    Richard

    Hi,
Meanwhile, do you mean that you want to change the default logon screen for all computers? To do this, you need to set the regsitry key
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/Microsoft/Windows/CurrentVersion/Authentication/LogonUI/Background
OEMBackground change its value from 0 to 1 We can deploy the registry to all clients via GPP\Registry
or use GPMC.msc to enable Computer Configuration\Policies\Administrative Templates\System\Logon.
it has the same impacts as the registry above
Then we need to create a new image (less than 256 K) under %windir%\system32\oobe\info\backgrounds\backgrounddefault.jpg.
This can be done via Computer Configuration\Preferences\Windows Settings\Files
I would like to share this detailed guide with you as reference.

  • ECATT Unable to Test a  Remote System

    Hello Dear Expert,
I am trying to record an ecatt Script to be played from my solman system on a BW system.
I've created the system data container with the rfc_bw in SM59.
WHen i test the connection using Test Connection, everything is ok.
When i test the connection using Remote Login , nothing happen at all.
When i play the script , i 've got error
1-User has not logged in 00:00:20
2- User has no dialog right
3 - too many sessions are open
This is the same behaviour if i check Logon screen in SM59 or if i enter
a valid user on system BW (dialog user with RFC all rights + ecatt rights)
When i use "Log on Target System" nothing happend in eCATT also.
But i can display target system infos from ecatt Menu.
Do you have any clue about what could be wrong ?

    Hi
I'm getting exactly the same error message when playing back the script I've recorded. Albeit in our SAP system (not BW system)
I'm in our Development System at the moment and want to reply back into the same System that I have created the eCATT in and created the recording to run the eCATT in.
Did you manage to resolve this?
    If so could you share
    Thanks

  • WebSAPConsole , telnet serever ,RF terminal and SAP logon screen

What would be the easiest way to connect RF terminal(character based) to an SAP system.
Of course it is via WebSAPconsole. As far as I red WebSAPconsole guide if I want to use it to connect character based RF terminal is the same as preaviously SAPconsole(under e.g.SAP enterprise 4.7 ext2.)
1.st install telnet server (best SLnet 2.6RF from Seattle LABS) and then configure In SAP console administrator in Control panel entered corresponding system ip,sysnr and transaction code(from saplogon)
However on RF terminal SAP logon screen does not appear. But only telnet prompt.
What to do? Should the  telnet server and SAP console be on an other machine than SAP server(ECC6)?

    Hi Thomas Kremer,
Can you help me to solve this issue!?
I´m facing with same error then you. I did a homogenous  system copy and after I finish this SAPINST I install the saplogon and of course I try to accede to SAP system and the first thing that display in system is that short dump -->  dynpro_itab_error
What´s this?! How you solve this issue... can you remmember? (I know that already was a two years ago but even so if you remember this can you share with me!?).

  • Win7 "Available Networks" list on logon screen???

Hello. I have an A215-S7422 Satellite running Windows 7. A friend of mine just bought a new Toshiba Satellite (not sure what model, but less than two years old).
The other day I was checking out the newer laptop and noticed that the Windows (not a NIC/WNIC adaptor software version) Network Connection Manager (normally visible by left clicking once on the wireless/wired LAN icon in the system tray) displays on the logon screen before logging in as well as when resuming after a display timeout. I thought this was really handy and searched the preferences to try and figure out how to activate this feature, searched Google, searched and asked Microsoft, and am left to come to Toshiba for help as no one seems to have any info on this ability anywhere else.
I have the latest drivers direct from Toshiba installed for my network adaptors and have been all through the standard Network and Sharing Center options in hopes of finding this capability, but am either overlooking it or it does not seem to be there.
I have installed ConfigFree as well as any other software and hardware pack on the Toshiba site for my machine and OS but none of them seem to enable the function.
Can someone please let me know how this feature is turned on or setup so that I can have my available networks and network connections shown on the logon screen? Also please let me know how to disable this same feature, if it is done differently then enabling it, as my friend actually doesn't want it displayed on the logon screen at all.
    Thank you for your help.
    Tre

I understand that this is not "Toshiba" but the site is through the Toshiba site which means that Toshiba users will be here, and that is what I thought was needed but, after seeing your reply and dedicting some new search time, as well as looking into startup scripts and task scheduler settings, it looks as if I need to head back to Microsoft because I now have the command I need but cant get it to work in either gpedit.msc nor task scheduler during startup, but the command does work in "Run..." as well as at the CMD prompt when I am logged in.
I am using W7 Ultimate so I definitely have gpedit.msc.
As for single sign-on, I do not know for sure but it doesn't seem to have any bearing on this particular idea from what I have read so far. I used your reference of the group policy editor to look for more info and after changing a word or two in my seasrch, finally started seeing a couple of results that looked optimistic.
For anyone who views this later in search of the same capability, the command to manually open the Network Status Popup is "rundll32.exe van.dll,RunVAN". If you input this into the run box or a CMD line, the popup will open.
If I find more info, I will post, and Jerry... thank you for pointing me in a better starting direction then I was originally going... much help indeed! If you know how to make this command work at the logon screen, please do tell.

Well, I'd propose to leave the SAPGUI screen untouched but only place a comment on the logon screen (see [note 205487|https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/205487]) which informs the user on a URL to a web application (BSP) which provides the desired "forgotten password" self-service functionality.
In the internet you find many examples of such "forgotten password" self-services - good ones and not so good ones. What all of them have in common is the requirement that the user has provided a valid email address or mobile number (during the account registration) which can be used for the required off-band communication. However they differentiate in the way they try to mitigate misuse: some prompt for a so-called passphrase (in most cases: the user has entered a free-text answer to a question chosen from a fixed set of predefined questions, during accoutn registration) before sending a newly created password to the email address retrieved from the user account; others generate a (random) "password change token" which they send to the email address and prompt the user to enter this "password change token" on the webpage (the account remains untouched until the correct "password change token" was entered, in most cases this is also time-restricted). I prefer the latter one.
    Cheers, Wolfgang
