Provisioning  with the AD connector (MSFT_AD_91150)

Hi friends,
I configured the AD Connector version: MSFT_AD_91150 in Oracle Identity Manager 11g.
Scenario Tested:
1. It created the user in Oracle Identity Manager 11g.
2. Resource was manually assigned to the user AD User created.
3. Check Active Directory is user-provisioned.
4. User was successfully created in Active Directory.
5. Accessed at the workstation with the user provisioned. For example: user/password = user1/xell2011
Final result:
- The user can not access the workstation with the password provided in the procurement process manually.
- The user can access the workstation when no password is entered. For example: user/password = user1/(blank)
- The connector is not sending the password.
Any suggestions to solve this problem

Friend Kevin,
I have connected with a ldap browser to Active Directory, these are the values of the classes when:
-(A) The user is created in the Active Directory directory
-(B) The user is created through Oracle Identity Manager (provisioned)

  • Trouble with the dock connector??

I have no clue why my Ipod is doing this or if its the cord. Ill plug my Ipod into the computer, and nothing happens. If I lift the cord up right where it plugs into my ipod it'll start charging. So unless i use the case to wrap the cord up over the screen and hook the cord to the belt clip to keep a constant pull on it, it won't connect or charge. Though i have used another cord and i still had to do this to charge it.
Can anyone tell me why it's doing this? and how I would fix it?

Have you tried cleaning the dock connector slot on the iPod? You may have a problem with the dock connector and it needs replacement. If you have an Apple store nearby you might want to make an appointment at their Genius Bar.

  • So what do I do with the larger connector?

It's been less than 6 months after buying accessories for both my iPad and iPhone with the larger connectors that they change them to smaller version, what in **** do I do with over $750.00 of accessories/chargers?

You use them with the devices that still accept those types of connections.
Also its been a year since the small 8 pin Lightning connector was introduced with the iPhone 5, the iPad Mini, and the iPad 4.
If you bought something new that uses the smaller ones then there are always adapters for them.
Not sure how this is a problem, unless you got rid of all your previous devices, they'll still use those connetors.
The chargers themselves should be universal, as they are USB so basically those still work, you just need a cable that fits the new device if you have one.

  • Using a Stored Procedure with the DBUM connector

Hello, I am a new to the Oracle Identity Manager. The system I am running on is Windows Server 2008. I have recently installed version 11.1.1.3.0 of the Identity and Access Management suite, along with the appropriate components. I am using an 11g R2 database as my repository. I have installed the DBUM connector, and have successfully provisioned a user to my database (which is also an Oracle database).
However, I have an instance where I need to not only provision a database user account, but also that user's ID and password (after running some arbitrary function to it, such as appending a 1 or hashing it) to a table located within that same database.
Could someone please give me a high-level description of what I need to do to accomplish this, and possibly point me in the direction of some documentation? I greatly appreciate it.

You can write your own custom code to run a stored procedure. Here is documentation for it: http://download.oracle.com/javase/tutorial/jdbc/basics/storedprocedures.html
Create your code, and deploy your jar file to the xellerate/JavaTasks folder. Create an adapter to use the code. Then on your provisioning process definition create a new task and attach the adapter. Finally, trigger the task off the create user task.

  • Connect to a backend system with the BI connector via Visual Composer

    Hi all,
I set up a system landscape on my notebook with the NW2004s ABAP as NSP and with the NW2004s JAVA SP7 as J2E. Both systems are integrated in the SLD, this is set up. Furthermore I installed a BI system alias as NSP_XMLA in the portal with the URL for the backend system: http://localhost:8000/sap/bw/xml/soap/xmla.
I have the same user on portal and backend system NSP. Both have admin previleges.
When I try to logon to the backend system with this URL I get this error:
"No switch to HTTPS occurred, so it is not secure to send a password"
" Choose "Logon" to continue A dialog box appears in which you can enter your user and password"
Then I can logon to the server and get a lot of XML.
But I have to manually logon to the system.
From the portal I cannot logon to the backend system with the test function. I get the error:
Alias is found, but connection failed.
I guess there must be an automatic logon preconfigured.
    How can I do this?
    Is SSO necessary?
    thanks for any help

    Hi Gregor,
thanks for your answer, which was intersting but could not solve the problem. In the meantime I discoverd the reason for it.
You have to insert the connection URL to the BW system at 2 points in the system.
    1. You have to configure the XMLA connector with the Visual Administrator.
    2. You must implement a system in the portal where you configure all necessary information, also the URL to the BW system.
This seems somewhat strange to me because you will then not be able to connect with two or more BW systems to the portal and VC what is centainly necessary in a real world scenario. Anyway I can now see all Infoproviders of the BW system in the VC, and SSO isn't necessary because you configure the information to login to the BW system directly in the configuration of the XMLA connector in Visual Administrator.

  • Problems with the OPC Connector for older OPC DA servers?

    Hello,
we are developing a solution involving OPC data access and want to utilize xMII as a gateway between the OPC server and our application. The xMII installation we use works fine with three different demoservers we connected, even when accessing them remotely.
When first trying to connect to our real datasource, we encountered problems. The namespace was not browsable from within the xMII Query Template editor. A taglist was given though, but the tags did not give proper results. The general log stated, that an "invalid server" was being used.
Other OPC clients which are designed for diagnostic use did not have any problems with namespace browsing or accessing the data in our server, so the problem was limited to the use of xMII. Reconfiguring the namespace of the OPC server led to data access working in xMII, but the namespace is still not browsable from within xMII.
We use a Simatic NET OPC Server, which states it fulfills OPC DA specification 1.0A and SAP xMII 11.5.1 with an OPCDatasource2_5_0_4beta Connector. The question is, if our problems could arise from our use of such an old OPC specification in the server? It is stated that the DataSource Connector works with "any OPC server", but as I understand it the actual specification is OPC DA 3.0, which would be quite a distance in versions.
Thanks in advance for any useful hints!

    Hello Martin,
thanks a lot for the answer! This is exactly the information I need to explain my senior staff members why it is not my fault.
Luckily, I found a stable state for cooperation between my components. Now I have the validation that this state must not be altered by others.
    Thanks again!

  • HT4101 I have used my SD card reader with the lightning connector just fine until this awful OS 7 update! Now nothing works and all I get while trying to load pictures from my SD card to my iPad is that my device is not supported!

Anyone having the same problem with the new OS7? I can no longer load pictures from my SD card to my iPad using my adapter.

Are the card readers apple ones or knockoffs? Unfortunately iOS7 brought with it software that looks for the authentication chip in  the cables and docks. If the manufacturer got permission from Apple to make devices then it should be fine, but if the manufacturer didn't get apple's permission then their chip isn't recognized, generating that error.
If your connectors are Apple ones have you tried to reset your device? Hold down the sleep and home keys for about 20 seconds or so until your iPad reboots. Then try again.

  • I pod doesnt' work with the camera connector and Canon EOS 20D!

    iPod Camera Connector: Supported Devices
The iPod Camera Connector requires a Fifth Generation iPod, iPod photo (also known as iPod with color display) and a supported camera or media reader. Other iPods, including iPod mini, iPod nano, iPod (Click Wheel), and iPod shuffle, are not supported with the iPod Camera Connector.
The iPod Camera Connector supports cameras with USB connectivity based on the following commonly used protocols:
    PTP
    Type 4 (or Normal)
    Mass Storage
For the complete list of supported cameras and media readers, see this webpage.
If you're using Mac OS X 10.3.x, you can use Image Capture to quickly verify what protocol your camera supports. To do this:
    Connect your camera.
    Open Image Capture.
Click Options and then click Device Options.
You can also check your camera's owner manual or the vendor's website to find out what protocols your camera supports. Also see "iPod Camera Connector: Choosing a photo importing protocol on a camera" for additional information.

  • Can we connect the ER-8 to a SC-2040 using one of the 50-pin connections on the ER-8 with the J11 connector on the SC-2040?

We have an ER-8 with two 50-pin connections. One is for DIO-24 devices, one is for DIO-32 devices and we do not know which to use to connect to the SC-2040, or if we even can. Additionally, our DAQ is a PCI-MIO16-E-1 and we are currently using 14 channels for data acquistion. Is there room to run 4 channels of our ER-8? If not, can we run the 4 channels off of one input effectively making them one switch?

To connect the SC-2040 and the ER-8 to the PCI-MIO-16E-1 you will need to use a SC-2050.
You will connect the PCI-MIO-16E-1 to the SC-2050 J1 connector with an SH-6850 cable. Then use the J2 connector on the SC-2050 to connect to the SC-2040 and the digital connector to connect to the ER-8.

  • My iPad doesn't seem to work with the hdmi connector

I have a first gen iPad and I can't get it to display with the hdmi adapter.  My iPad 2seems to work fine.  I thought it worked for both gens.

It should work for both generations.  It won't mirror with the iPad1, but it should play videos.  My iPad1 DID play videos - for a week or two.  Then it quit working with the HDMI adapter.  Still behaves as before with the Component adapter.  Nothing wrong with the cables, tv, etc.  Aftyer ruling out all else, I exchanged the Apple HDMI adaprter for a new one - same thing.  My iPad1 now has no idea there is an external tv/display connected when using the HDMI adapter.  I suspect my mistake was in updating the iPad to the newest iOS software release.  I'll bet this is what broke it.  The question is:  Will this bug be fixed, or is this new non-compliance going to be considered by Apple to be a  'feature'?
    Apple?

  • How can I tell if my iPod touch needs its battery replaced or if there is something wrong with the power connector?

About 3 weeks ago, I got pushed into a pool, fully clothed, with my iPod touch in my back pocket.  Miraculously, I was able to salvage it (or so I thought) by putting it for a couple of days in a dessicator jar and then recharging it.  It seemed all right until a few days ago, when it began having more difficulty being recognized as connected when I hooked it up to my MacBook Pro, my wall charger or my USB port in my car.  Last night it was working and I was able to play it in my car and to successfully sync it.  I surfed on it for awhile then forgot to plug it in before I went to bed.  The battery indicator was in the red when I woke up, so I connected it to my wall charger.  When I came back, it was right where it was - no charging, and moving it to a new outlet and changing cables did not help.  So, I tried hooking back up to my laptop, same thing.  I tried my husband's wall charger; still no connection.  I then tried hooking it up to the USB port in my car, but it sees no connection.  If it weren't for the fact that it got dunked, I'd assume that the battery needs replaced, but because of that, I fear it might be something more complicated.  Does anyone know if there is a way I can test this?  I'd hate to go get the battery replaced, only to discover that it still doesn't work.
    Thanks!

Apple does not replace your battery.  Instead it replaces your old iPod with a refurbished one (with a new battery).  When they see your iPod, the can tell that it had been in the water and will probably offer you an out-of-warranty repair ($99-$199).  If you want to take a chance on just replacing the battery, Google for a third party repair shop, but in that case, the risk is all yours.

  • Using the iPod with the camera connector

I was recently pleased to learn that it is possible to connect an iPod to my digital camera to transfer pictures to the iPod. I could use this feature when traveling to free up my camera's CompactFlash memory.
What I'm wondering is whether or not I can delete photos I have transfered to the iPod from the camera using the iPod's interface. The idea here would be to weed out the pictures not worth keeping to free up space on the iPod.

There is no way to delete files or folders from an iPod without connecting it to a computer and deleting the files from there.
