PRT doubts

hi all
I have follwoing doubts reg PRT.
1. Is it possible to assign PRT to an operation in a MO. (Other than thro' Task List)
2. What is the PRT formula stands for in SPRO (std SAP). What formula should I use, if I assign a PRT in a Routing so that Measure Document will get generated and updated.
One general doubt, is it possible to assign Components in Notification. Client is asking for this for the scenario that he is using a component for a Maint job and the man power used is negligble. In that case they do want to create a MO, instead Notification will be generated and TECO will be done once the job is over. Is it possible in std SAP.

Error handling in process chain-doubts

Hi ,
I have some doubts in error handling of process chains.
1) I have aprocess load infopackeage and subsequent process is update fromPSA.
process load infopackage got failed , so i loaded the IP manually and repeated the next i.e process update from PSA .
How to correct the process chain from now?
2) I have aprocess load infopackeage and subsequent process is Delete request in infocube .process load infopackage got failed , so i loaded the IP manually and repeated the next process i.e Delete request in infocube. Chain continued by deleting the right request . How this is possible ?
Plz help me as this is urgent and daily i have to deal with this issues. If any documents on error handling is greatly appreciated.

Errors in monitoring of process chains can be categorized into 4 different sections...
Master data - Full Update
Master data - Delta Update
Transaction data - Full Update
Transaction data - Delta Update.. in terms of loading of data which can be due to server shut down or system maintenance... errors due to incorrect entries in the OLTP system in which case you'll have to fix the errors in the PSA and manually load the data...
Otherwise it can have errors on Attribute change run being locked by some other job... Aggregate Roll up failing because of attribute change run being run at the same time... Problem with hierarchies and save hierarchies...
There can be problems with the data store activation if the ODS object contains any incorrect request sitting inside it... then, you need to delete the incorrect request and reload the data again...
In case of Transaction Delta failure, you'll have to request for a repeat either manually in the infopackage or using the repeat option if available on right clicking the load event...
For Master Data Delta failures, you need to do an Re-init by deleteing the previous initalization condition in the "initalization option for source systems" in the menu scheduler or reschedule the enitre chain... because, master data generally do not support repeat of last delta ...

DMS Object link for PRT Couldnot Display in CV02N

Hi PLM DMS Gurus ,
I have been investigating adding an object link for PRT which is CRVS_B screen 214. I have added this to the one document type. However, when I attempt to see the object link from the CV02N transaction, it does not appear to recognize the PRT assignment from the IA06 Change General Task List PRT Overview screen. Do any one have any idea of why this may be behaving in this way? Any feedback you can provide will be appreciated.
When I add the Documents through transaction CF02/01 then it is showing in the CV02N transaction Object link , But if I attach the same Document# through IA06 then it is not showing it.
steps to attach the document .
1. Go to IA06 select a group
2. Double click the task list and create an Operation
3. Choose the Operation and click into the PRT button in the bottom of the screen.
4 . Here you can find an option to attach your Document .
5. Once you attach note down the document number and goto CV02N and see the object Link . You will not find that .
I am doubted whether I am using the right screen number or not (CRVS_B screen 214) . Do we have any other way or anyother program & screen to show the Object link to the PRT created through IA06 .
How do we find the program and screen which is not listed in the developement class CV ?.
Any Inputs are highly appreciable and rewardable.

What you do in IA06 is using a document as an PRT. This is not the same as a objectlink between a PRT and a document. Thats why you dont see the use of the document in a tasklist in CV02n.

DESIGN.
1. Create DataTypes for source and Destinations. Create elements for all the text fields of your HTTP Client so that they can all be mapped into the destination file
2. Craate MessageTypes for the two datatypes.
3.Create Message Interfaces. the One for HTTP is the sender, Asynchronous ( as no response is expected) and one for File is receiver, asynchronous.
4. Do the mapping. It will be mostly a one to one mappingof the fields.
5.Create the Interface Mapping.
Configuration
1. Import your Business System under your Configuration Scenario.
2.Create 2 communication channels. One for Http as a sender and one for File as a receiver.

Some doubts regarding APD

Hi Friends,
I am working on APD for the first time. While working on it, I came across the following doubts/questions:
1. If we have created a query as the source for APD and transactional ODS as target in Dev. Now, I want to transport this APD in QA. We dont transport queries from one environment to other and manually create them in each environment. Now my question is if we transport this APD in QA without transporting query with/before APD, will transport fail?
2. Is transactional ODS the only ODS we can use as target for APD? Regular ODS will not work with APD?
3. When we load data from APD to transactional ODS, does it always delete data before loading new data?
Any other relevant information related to APD would be highly appreciated.
I would appreciate you help in solving my doubts.

1)The transport may not Fail if u transport the APD without the Query.But from where will u pull the data for APD.So transport the Query along with the APD.Alwasy maintain SYNC between DEV_QA_PRODUCTION.
2)Yes WE have to use trasactional DSO
always while loading data from APD.
3)Yes,It always deletes data and Load the FRESH data that comes through APD.Hence we use a STANDARD DSO on top of transactional ODS,,such that the deltas are captured in the STD DSO.

PRT- Maintenance Plan

Hi Experts,
Here is my Issue ,
We have Created Maintenance plan for PRT Equipment - for that Measuring point in counter over readg 500 pieces and Annual Estimate also 500 pieces .our Maintenance Package is every 200 cycle.BY confirming the production order exceeds the 200 pieces, the maintenance order also created by measuring document, in this juncture my doubt is , how to maintain the tool life and we wants the tool life is max of 500 pieces only , after exceeding the production order qty 500 pieces , the system will not allow to make production order confermation for that PRT Equipment, what is the settings for that,?
For Example a Planner m/c is Created by M- categary ( plant maintenance) , but the tool in which is used in planner m/c can be created P- categary ( PRT) . is it Right?
Tool -life only for 500 pieces , in that how to set for Mainetanacec package? instead of 200 pieces,can we assign 500 pieces?
ok If we set 500 in M.package , mainetance plan will be created and say tool is to be replaced, based on the plan we replace the tool and we instal new tool for the planner m/c. now can we create new PRT equipmnet- tool , for the planner m/c ? , For the new TOOL -PRT equipment , can we create new plan for that ? is it Right means what about old plan?

As per ur requirment My understadnding is wirtten here-
1. First off, Creat all Tools as PRT Equipment... because in this way only u can generate maintenance plan for them and can perform maintenance.
2. For track of PRT Usage or Life u have to define a Measuring Point in PRT (Equipment). Whenever production order get confirm a measuring doucment will be posted...
in the Measuring point u can see last entered measurement reading that will reflect usage of PRT.
3. U have to assign a Maintenance Plan in PRT ( Equipment)
When PRT Usage exeeds certain level..(after confirmation of production order) Maintenace call object would be generated and subsequent maintenance can be carried out.
4. Besides all these we can not block usage of PRT in Production order.
5. PRT Must be assigned in Routing ..other wise it won;t work.
6. so prequesties for PRT Usage and Maintenance is
create Measuring point and a Performance Based Maintenance Plan. and assign it in PRT(Equipment).
7. in this case don't create PRT as a Material.

When I am creating Container for the receiver I don't find any container type available to select. Where to define this container type. In demo the container type MultipleBookingOrderRequest_Abstract is given. but I don't find it when click on the Type field. Your Help wud be greatful. Doubts on BPM

Hi, one of my clients has deep interest in BPM.
He'd like to manage processes over different system like IBM-Machines, SAP-Systems, simple File-Server etc.
These processes should be controlled via SAP XI, especially via BPM (BPE).
But i have some doubts if it is really that simple like u read in SAP-Description.
I have no experience on that issue so can someone who has deep knowledge of BPM give me his opinion on this topic?!

If its for a client you need to present BPM usages with a high level example, which involves different system. As you mentioned (IBM-Machines, SAP-Systems, simple File-Server etc.).
So better have a look at the documentation and there are some good blogs on BPM with advantages and limitations.

Availability check of PRT

Hi,
I have created equipment as PRT, & assigned to routing, also made necessary settings for availability check of PRT during order creation & release. I created & released a production order & reserved work center capacity & PRT assigned. When I created a new order in the same period system is showing no availability of work center but showing all PRT are available. I am expecting that system should give the message that PRT is not available.
Please suggest.

Hi,
For ensuring availability of PRT's in Order , pls check / maintain following settings :
Go to OPJK -
>Select Plant & Order type & business function
1     Check availability during order creation
or
2     Check availability during order release
then go to PRT availability Tab,
where you need to check for tick in check box no check.If tick is there remove it and maintain checking rule as
01     Status check
or
02     Status check and inventory audit
Maintain any of the above as per your requirement.This you need to maintain for each & every order type you want to control availability check for PRT's.
Try with above settings.
Hope this fulfills your requirement.

PRT Implementation

We are using Jigs and Fixture,various tools (Grinding,turning tools).We have implemented SAP-PP with SAP without PRT Functionaity,Now our process is
PRT are issue to Production from Tool cribe area for using in certain production order once used it is again issue to tool cribe.
Certain PRT are consumed by Production Order
I want to implement PRT Functionality without PM Module to cover above requirement.
I have created PRT Material,assign it in Routing,created production order,availabilty check has done.But now every time I have to stock transfer from tool cribe to production storage location and again reverse once process is over.So is there any way by which I can cut this stock trasfer and person in Tool cribe can know where tool is without making stock transfer.
Also let me know what are other benifit I can get through PRT implemantation by above way (Without PM Module)

LO Extraction Doubt

Hello SDN,
I have doubt
1) I am using LO Extraction for SD using Delta Extraction. evry day loading works ok, suddenly we realised that some datas are missing in BW from R3. How will i get those missed records from R3. is it in LBWQ? if so how we trigger to BW?
2) IN SD am using Header and Item Line for last 6 months suddenly there is a requirement for Schedule line Items in this case do we need to delete the setup tables for application 11, If so what would be the steps do we have to stop previous extraction?
3) ODS1 is using 3 characteristics now there is a need to use 4th character say Data field in this case is it possible in ODS1 itself by doing repair full Req.?
Please suggest me answers to any of these qns is appreciated with Points.

Hi,
1. Try to find if you missed out some deltas, if yes then see if its in PSA and reload.
If its not there, then you need to perform a Full repair for those records after filling the setup tables with those records.
2. You dont have to stop the current deltas for filling setup tables. Only thing is that you need to stop R3 postings during that time.
You will need to fill the set up tables in 'no postings period'. In other words when no trasnactions are posted for that area in R/3 otherwise those records will not come to BW. Discuss this with end user and decide. Weekends are a general choice for this activity.
You can run them after business hours so that there wont be any transactions, or in the night times or you can do it on week ends so that there is no need to take down time.
Fill the setup tables with already closed values and then fill up again with open values.This will reduce the down time.

3. Remodeling wont work for ODS.
You can try creating a copy of this ODS and load data into that.

GP doubt in Data Input form

Hi Experts,
I have a doubt in GP Input Data Form callable object.
When i insert a callable object of type "Data Input Form" and test it.

My question is, How to avoid "Edit/View Attributes Values"?

Hi,
You are creating Data Input Form callable Object. The template for Data Input Form is provided by SAP. So you can not change the template. It is fixed.
Which Service Pack are you using? The screen short within the link (https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/1f589ed1-0c01-0010-9988-e3a67384acd9) are taken from SP7 or before that. But from SP8 onwards you will not get that type of Data Inout Form template. So I think you are using SP8 or nowards. Now staing on your current SP level If you want to hide the "Edit/View Attributes Values" then you need to create your own (custom) Form either using Web Dynpro Application or VC application.
Please set your requirement which technique and which SP you will use.

Doubt in fbl1n transaction

hi i have a doubt....
in fbl1n transaction, there are open items and cleared items.
in it the cleared items for certain document types such as invoice etc is not present in the open item table (bsik)
however the cleared items for document types such as general voucher its present in the open items table (bsik)
is this possible as all cleared item entries shld b present in the open item table with an indicator set for cleared or not...
plz exlain!

There are 2 tables(open and Closed Items) in FI for Account Payables and Account Receivables and GL accounts
1.Account payables: BSIK is Open Items and BSAK is Closed items
2.Account Receivables; BSID and BSAD for OPEN and closed items
3/GL accounts : BSIS and BSAS for Open and Closed Items
