PSE 8 emails in cyberspace

I am running pse 8 under Windows 7.  I have my email preference set as Adobe email service.  In about the last 3 weeks, my emails have stopped appearing(I send the emails via the share pane to myself in Windows Live Mail and then forward them using WLM Contacts to my designated recepients - done this way because of consistently losing recepients out of the PSE contacts file (another story)).  Is there a log file generated by Adobe email services that would show any error messages generated by those services - i.e. how can I track down what is happening to the emails?

99jon - this is a reply from one of your other posts "
"For those who did the recent updates including Windows Live Essentials it’s probably best to ignore Adobe Photo Mail and use the Windows Live Photo gallery to email photos, using Live Mail 2011."
Does this mean you cannot email from the Share option in PSE, or how do you designate Windows Live Photo gallery for emailing?
2ND QUESTION _ Where does the email message window that  is generated come from - Adobe Email Services, or an individuals' email client, and where is the email sent from?

Yikes. I have no idea on this. Need to get this fixed ASAP. Thank you.

Yes I asked to explain more and no response. I think they were just trying to pull my leg as you say, because I am a newbie with the iPad. Thanks for your reply.

  • PSE 5 emailing pictures in order picture was taken.

I have PSE 5 and I have never figured out why it is when I email pictures they are always oldest picture first when they are in the email. It doesn't matter which picture I attached to the email first, it is alway oldest first when the person recieves the email. The first picture they seeis always the oldest picture.
I use the PSE email by clicking the email at the top of the page when I have the catalog organizer open. The drop down box under format I have individual attachments chosen. Also it doesn't matter if I have the organizer dated oldest first or newest first. It still sends them as the oldest picture first. Can someone tell me why this is? Thanks!

Since you are using attachments, I suspect that it is your email program that is determining the order of the attachments and not Photoshop Elements. Also when the recipient views the photos, I suspect that their email program may also influence the order the attachments are viewed.
One approach that people sometimes use is to place the photos to be emailed in a PSE Collection, then use the PSE Organizer Export function specifying the Base Name option. Designate the output from the Export function to go to a new Windows folder that you create and then attach the contents of that folder to your email. (At the time that you  use the export function, you can also  downsize the resolution of the photo files for email transmission. Since the export function creates new files, you will not be overlaying your existing full resolution photo files.)
By choosing the Base Name function when you did the Export from the Collection, the file names will designate the sequence in which the photo files should be viewed.  Even if the recipients email program did not present the photo files in file name sequence, the recipient would have the possibility of downloading the photo files to their computer and viewing in Windows Explorer using File Name sequence.

  • Not receiving email to my .Mac alias's in mail.

Mail in my new Mac Book Pro is set up just like my Powerbook next to it, however mail coming in to my alias's is missing from the Mac Book Pro.
Mail is set up exactly the same. What could cause the Mac Book Pro but not the Powerbook to loose these emails in cyberspace?
    Thanks

Are you sure it’s just the messages sent to the alias? Could it be that your .Mac account is set up as POP on the other computer?

  • Email Submit Problem

I have designed a form that submits the xml data by email. I can see the sent email in my sent items folder. I can forward the sent email to the same email address I have on the submit button, and the forwarded email arrives with the xml file attached. But the original email sent by clicking the submit button never arrives.
I decided to redo the form, as I added the submit button after the fact. This time I went through the New Form Assistant, and let it create the button. I then opened the original form and copied and pasted the fields into the new form. This time the form went through okay... but I was getting the "failure to validate" error message for the email field. SO I deleted the email field and redid it dragging in the custom field email. The "failure to validate" error message disappeared, but so did the email into cyberspace. (Again, I can see it in my sent email folder... endless loop.)
    Can anyone help me here?

Now I am getting at least this response, but not sure from where:
This message has been rejected because it has
a potentially executable attachment "Microsoft Office Outlook 2003.lnk"
This form of attachment has been used by
    recent viruses or other malware.
If you meant to send this file then please
package it up as a zip file and resend it.

  • Duplicate photos sent from Photoshop Elements 7

Everytime I send a Photo Mail from Photoshop it sends 10 duplicates to recipient.  Even happens when I send a photo to myself.  I'm using Outlook for my e-mails, but my Photoshop is connected to Outlook Express.  If I remove Outlook Express just wondering if I will lose all of my photos in Photoshop.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

At what step you see duplicates?
    Did you ever try Outlook....
Actually I use Outlook for PSE emails and have never seen such problem.

I have Windows 7, Microsoft Outlook and PSE 13. I have used the "Share photos as embedded images" feature frequently, but today when I went to use it, it wasn't there, only the option to send email with files attached. How do I get back the ability to send emails with photos embedded. I like adding the frames and backgrounds and I think it's easier for recipients to look at the photos. Thanks for any suggestions of things to try.

I had a similar problem in that my wife's iphone 5 could not send pics with imessage.  Had to set the settings to default to SMS or whatever.  After laboring many hours on the web I coincidentally was on the phone with the internet people to question my internet speed.  They changed the router channel, which is something that I am capable of doing myself.  After that, the pics go over imessage.  My own Iphone didn't have the problem.  We are both latest IOS 7.0.6.

  • Can't open .png file unzipped from an email in PSE 9

I get the following error when I attempt to open a .png file that was unzipped from an email:
"could not complete request because of a problem with the file-format module interface."
What is unusual is that another employee can open the file using Adobe Photoshop CS. I am also able to open other .png files. I was informed that this file was created on a Mac. I am using PSE 9 on XP Pro.
Any ideas to what may be causing this issue? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!

The OS should not make difference in this case.Try opening the same file through irfan view.

  • PSE 12 email not working

Used PSE 12 for several months with no problems; recently, cannot email. Everything appears to work as before, but nothing is sent.
I have uninstalled and re-installed program twice. I do not use Outlook, I use Adobe mail. My mail provider is yahoo.
    Any suggestions?

For importing photos you will need to click File > Get Photos and Videos > From Files and Folders.
If you earlier version catalog had tags, they should be visible in Tags pane in the right panel. You may need to expand individual headers (Keyword Tags, People, Places and Events) in the right panel to see corresponding tags.
Also, to see tags in the grid, you need to turn on View > Details menu option.
Please let me know if they are still not visible.
    Thanks

  • PSE 6 lockup in email Share

I'm a new PSE 6 user, and this will be my first e-mail image share. In Share w/email attachments, at the select recipients step, the computer locks up when I click the "edit recipients in contact book" icon (small silhouette of person). I'm trying to add a contact before sending, but I'm stuck . . ..
I use Win XP, Outlook Express, 1GB.
    Any solutions?

Here's what someone else did to get it working:
    1. Rename the old contacts.xml file as xcontacts.xml in the following
    location: Documents and Settings\All Users\Application
    Data\Adobe\Photoshop Elements\Organizer\Settings
    2. Did a normal shutdown and re-start of the computer (not just
reboot, though I know it shouldn't make a difference, I've found it
just seems to work better when I do).
    3. Opened Elements and started with Share/Photo Mail and re-initiated
    the database.
So far this has been successful and I have been able to add and
    delete contacts.

  • Adobe PSE 8 Can't Email Photos

Hello.  I'm helping a friend who is running Adobe Photoshop Elements 8 on Windows 7 64 bit Home Premium.  He wants to email
photos from within the program.  However I'm hitting two different problems:
    1) If I select "Windows Mail" as my email client then I get the message:
"Elements Organizer could not finish creating your E-mail message.  Alternatively, you can use the Adobe E-mail Service via the Elements Organizer Preferences Dialog."
    2) Ok so I select Adobe e-mail service.  If I try that then when we try and hit next to send the message the program freezes.  A new hidden window spawns called "New Message".  It will sit like that forever.  If I kill the pse 8 "New Message" window then pse 8 unfreezes but no email is ever sent.
I do computer support for a living so I'm comfortable around one.  Here the things I tried:
    1) Found an Adobe knowledge base that acknowleged a limitation with windows 7 "Windows Live Mail" (instead of Vista's "Windows Mail").  The KB had me inject a few registry keys that told your default mail client were the dlls were for windows live mail.  This did not resolve the issue.
    2) Uninstalled/Reinstalled PSE 8. Still both problems remained.
    3) Whacked every unneed applications/process still no love.
    4) Checked for a proxy inteferring with adobe email service.  No proxy settings set
    5) Reset the preferences file for PSE8
    6) I setup a test machine at home with a fresh install of windows 7 and a fresh install of Adobe PSE 8.  The email through Windows Live Mail still didn't work.  I'm convinced its unsupported by PSE8 on Windows 7 64 bit but Adobe Customer Service told me otherwise.  Unfortunately I wasn't at the computer at the time I called them to try troubleshooting with them.  However the Adobe e-mail service did work on my test machine so there must be something preventing it on my friend's machine (permissions, corruption, dependency missing?)
    I'm up for any suggestions.

I have followed similar approaches as you have outlined in your post.  I spoke with the Adobe techs and was told Adobe is aware of the failing and I quote, "We are working on a fix and hope to have it implemented within the next six month."
Bad news that was two (2) years ago. As of this writing and unless a "fix" has been implemented that I am not aware of, Adobe PSE software will not run an Adobe e-mail program on Windows XP or 7.
I submit a working remedy that being to use one of the two (2) remaining alternatives included in the PSE 8 software package.
Not intending to be boring but to be sure we are on the same page, go to Edit, select Preferences, select sharing, in the e-mail Settings box I have selected the Microsoft Outlook option. I tried Windows mail and it gave my system a few problems so I went back to Outlook.
An annoyance is the Recipients once entered are entered in a temporary fashion and must be re-entered each time I shut the PSE 8 down. Another deficiency awaiting the miraculous cure that now appears to be two (2) years over due.
Please note, be sure to have Outlook mail up and running so you can monitor the transmission progress.
As an aside my system is running Windows 7.

  • PSE 7 Disappointing  Email Options...

    Hi all,
I purchased PSE 7 for Windows as a gift for my wife, since PS Extended is a bit over the top for her. With all the awards and hype in the videos, I was geared up for a great program.
Some stuff is great, but some stuff is, well, kind of insane.
For example, I had to go in and create my own icons in order to avoid the welcome screen which is worse than anything Apple has come up with for in-your-face advertising and promotion. Adobe, please include an option to get rid of the welcome screen in PSE 8.
Then I had to go into the options and turn off all the promo stuff. Please include an opton on install to get rid of this garbage.
The disk crunching on a dual core with 7500 RPM and a GB of memory (not a lot, but double the requirement on the box) is way over the top when you launch the editor. PS Extended with 3D capability launches quicker on this same machine...WTF?
Last but not least, and my chief complaint, is that not only is Thunderbird missing from the Share e-mail import list (and it is our default e-mail program on my wife's machine), but you can't import .CSVs  either, so there is no way to export addresses from Thunderbird and manually import into PSE! Thunderbird is a popular program. I have a MAC with PS Extended and don't know if the same problem exists on PSE 7 for MAC.
This is half Thunderbirds fault (for not having a vCard export option), but why oh why can't PSE just list Thunderbird on the e-mail program list or just have a default e-mail option and launch and email like the dumbest included-with-the-camera programs out there.
I can't believe I now have to manually enter about 500 addresses on PSE as part of my wife's gift. There has GOT to be a workaround!
    Ugh...

    Thanks, Barb_O
Your response is well thought-out, and I offer these thoughts for further consideration:
We never know what subset of what pictures will go to what subset of friends or contacts.
Not everyone we know is interested in logging on to a remote site to get access to photos. In fact, I myself resist doing it most times. If the site requires me to register or log-in to see pictures, unless I am truly interested, I often will just pass. Most of my family and friends are on Facebook. Why do I want yet another photo service when I can view albums and comment on my whole social network right on FB? If I want to print something, I just request it on FB, and my friend or relative sends me the file. Simple, unless they are using PSE 7.
I've used the process for e-mailing attached pictures that you describe, and it works well, but one of the points of buying a World Class amateur photo processing application (PSE 7), was to make life EASIER for my wife, not to have to make her jump through hoops that are done automatically by the dumbest, most basic photo apps out there. I mean come ON, this is ADOBE, and emailing attachments from within a program using the default email app (in this case one of the most popular in the world) ...well, let's just say it is SILLY that it is missing.
Thanks again for your response. My fantasy is that some or all of these issues are solved in PSE 8, and that becuase I just bought PSE 7, I will get a good discount on 8, and it will be more like Apple's Aperture in speed and overall system compatibility/performance when it comes out. It is a program with a great feature set, and solving the speed and workflow issues will really send it to the top of the pile.
    Best,
    Mark

  • PSE 5 Stops Running When Attempting Adobe Email Service

A student of mine is runing PSE 5.02 on Vista. She has been using Adobe Email Service for some time. Recently, when she clicks on Next that would normally send the email, PSE 5 just sits with the hourglass, and at some point the "Not Respnding" message appears.
I uninstalled and then Reinstalled the program and the patch required for running on Vista. Under the Sharing Preferences, PSE 5 presented the dialogue for retrieving the code from Adobe to use the service, which we followed. The code had not returnd yet, but we attempted to send an email attachment anyway. We expected to see the screen asking for the code that was to be emailed to her.
PSE 5 never asked for the code, but proceeded to the same place in the send process and as before displayed the hourglass for some period and then quit responding altogether.
Has anyone else experienced this problem? I wonder if it could be a recent MS Vista update that is causing it.
Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.
    Don S.

    Hi Don,
Please try again to see if you are able to send the email. This might be Email sever issue at that time.
    Thanks,
