PSG- Assign Setlement Cost Element

We have service and sales order that have settlement rule PSG.  At settlement an  FI posting is made, which are defined in OKG8.
PA uses the Cost elements (890963) assigned in OKG4 as the source. The PA transfer structure is complete - assigning values to Value Fields (VVC10)
When this settlement is complete - a Secondary Cost element is assigned to the settlement transaction (870200) and I see it in the Cost Analysis of the Orders
Where is this  secondary cost element (870200) assigned?
thanks in advance for help

    Helo Gurus,
ive tried to execute TC: F-29 Customer and F-48 Vendor down payments.

Then i get a message saying:
Maintain default revenue element in controlling area 5000
    Message no. FI661
    Diagnosis
CO down payment update is active in controlling area 5000.  You must therefore maintain a default cost element and a default revenue element for down payments.
    Procedure
Maintain the default cost elements for down payments for controlling area 5000 in the Project System implementation guide.
The maintenance is done in TC: OKEP (project system)
I created two revenue Cost elements and tried to assign them there, but it says CE are nore primary CE.
I changed it from revenue to primary, then it says that CE isnt revenue...
    weird stuff
    What could be the problem?

    Hi
If you are aware of FI substitution or validation, it works the same way
    1. Go to OKC9 and click on New entries
    2. Enter your contr area and choose Event = Line Item and Save.. It would ask for a transport request
    3. Now click on the magnifying lens icon, then drill down on cost accounting > Line Item. Now click on Create Substitution icon and give it a name
    4. Now click on Create Step and write your substitution by choosing fields from the COBL structure
It should like like, Prerequisites: IF COBL - BUKRS = XXXX and Cost Ele = YYYY,
Action to be taken if Pre-req is met - Substitute WBS = ZZZZ

  • Changing assignment of cost elements to cost components

    Hello,
I want to assign a cost component to another cost element. Message no. KQ312 Maintenance after deactivating 10 makes cost estimates incomparable appears.
After the change, isn't it possible to compare the cost estimate anymore at all or just the changed cost components?
    Regards, Jan

If you change the cost element grouping in your cost component - the standars SAP gives the message that previous cost estimate cost component will not be comparable.. It has got logic because once you do the Actvity price calculation system stores the value as per cost component strcuture in KEPH table . The 40 cost feils in KEPH get dynamically linked as per your cost component.
So if you want to change it  , you can change it but makesure you run the KSPI again . If you are moving your existing cost element to another group , the previous saves cost component will not display correctly , although all the future cost estimate will show you as per revised strcuture.
If you not bother about previous cost compoent display then you can change it.

  • Functional Area assigned to Cost Elements

    Hi All,
Where can i see the list of cost elements assigned to different functional areas.
    Thanks in advance.

Use tr. KA23 for collective processing of cost elements.
You can use the radio button to display all cost elements, or you want to filter the cost element list for only certain functional areas you can use the option for a Selection Variant.  Just click on the Create icon and input your functional area(s) and save the variant and give it a name and description.  Then return to the KA23 screen and use F4 help or input the variant you saved.
After you execute the report and the list is returned, you may not see functional area immediately by default.  Simply use the icon to change the layout and send the functional area field from the column set on the right to the displayed columns on the left.
If you have access to tr. SE16 or SE17 you can also simply look at the table contents of table CSKA to see the assignments of functional area to cost elements.

  • Cost Element assign to additive costing in OKTZ

    Error:
An entry already exists with the same key
    Message no. SV009
    Diagnosis
When creating an entry, you entered a key, which already exists.
    System Response
    The entry cannot be created.
    Procedure
Specify another key or remove the entry using the function Skip.
Kindly help to solve the issue  : IT is going only it's urgent
    Thanks & Regards,

    Hi,
Every cost element can only be assigned to one cost component.
For example cost elements 610050 to 611000 have already been assigned to cost component 10. For this reason, message SV009 ('An entry already exists with the same key') is issued if you try to assign these cost elements also to cost component 11. This is the correct system behaviour.

  • There are values for cost element 80000 that are not assigned to any line I

    Hi,
While calulating WIP I am getting below error:
There are values for cost element 80000 that are not assigned to any line ID
    Message no. KJ161
    Diagnosis
Not all values for the cost element are assigned to a line ID.
    Procedure
Assign the cost element to a line ID. If you don't want to include the cost element in results analysis, assign it to a line ID of category N.
You can access a detailed list of unassigned cost elements as follows: Start results analysis in the individual processing mode (transaction KKA1, KKA2, or KKA3). Select the field Full log. Execute the function. On the next screen, choose Logs -> Parameter List in the menu. A list is generated. The unassigned values are shown at the end of the list.
If cost element "+++++++++" was shown in the message, this is because in the assignment of costs and revenues to line IDs, you have not used a cost element other than the full masking "+++++++++". In this case a presummarization eliminates the information on the cost element.
Cost Element 80000 is of type 43 Internal activity allocation, I have Masked this in OKGB as below:
    Controlling Area = FLGP
    RA Version = 0
    Masked Cost Element = 000008++++
    Masked Cost Center = ++++++++++
    Masked Activity Type = +++++
    ReqToCap= COS (Secondary Cost)
I have Configure OKGA also but still system is giving error.
    Please help me to understand.
    Regards,
    Vivek

I was wondering if you could help me I am trying to configure the RA key for Refurb orders and when I go into txn OKGB for the Assignment of C/E for WIP there is sample config already there which I copied.  But I am having difficulty getting the KK1A to work I am getting the message as outlined above.  Could you explain how this OKGB works and how to configure it a bit more fully.  In my sample config there is a ReqTOCap section and in it there are letters like ABR, EK, FK, EL what do they mean.  This is a screen shot of it.  I am not sure how to go about this entirely so any light you could shed would be greatly appreciated.  Can you suggest a good resource or documentation you may have, would be greatly appreciated.

  • Cost elements for account Profit or loss on exchange rate valuation

I am running transaction F110 and among the invoices to be paid there are foreign denominated invoices. I have 4 business areas set up and have one GL account where all the gains and losses arising from the exchange rate fluctuation are posted (this account has been assigned a cost element).
When I run F110 i get error that the gain/loss on valuation account requires a CO object. I thot the system would be able to determine all the CO objects from the invoices selected for payment. In a payment run, there are a number of invoices belonging to different CO objects.
Is there a way i can get around this. If i delete the cost element will i be able to draw up financial satements per business area.

    Hi,
You can set up in OKB9 for Co Object determination.
You can set Business Area as mandatory in OKB9 and then click on Detail per business Area and another screen will open up, there you can enter, Cost center against Business Areas.
    This will resolve your issue.

  • Cost element error while processing GR of Subcontracting sch.agreement

    Hello All,
While processing GR for a Subcontracting Sch. Agreement,  the system gives the following error:
Cost element 50050002 is not assigned to a cost component in CostCompStruct M1
    Message no. MLCCS010
    Diagnosis
You have activated the actual cost component split.
No cost component has been assigned to cost element 50050002 origin group  in cost component structure M1 for chart of accounts MMC. The system is unable to assign the value to a cost component.
    System Response
    You cannot carry out posting.
    Procedure
Check whether for this operation the value to be posted is to be assigned to this cost element.
If the value has been assigned to the wrong cost element, you should change the account assignment for this operation.
If the value has been assigned to the right cost element, then maintain an assignment of the cost element and origin group in Customizing of Product Cost Planning.
The Sch.agr contains the parent material and the child part is maintained in the Component overview for that material in Maintaining the sch.line.
    What should be looked into.
    Please help.

    Dear,
Identify the PA settlement structure assigned to Assessment cycle using transaction KEU2 and then check this PA settlement structure in transaction KEI2. Here assign the cost element to the value field for valid assignment.

  • Cost component structure - cost elements for FERT and HALB (TC:OKTZ)?

    Hi all,
our cost component structure has the following structure (TC: OKTZ):
    1 Raw materials
    2 Human ressources
    3 Production
    4 Material Overhead
    5 Production overhead
    6 external activity
(this settings are conform with SAP standard - copy from cost comp. structure 01)
To cost comp 1 "raw material" we assigend the relevant (primary) cost elements (consumption raw mat, e,g, steel, wood...).
My question is: In case we insert/post e.g. a semi-finished product to the production order from stock (accor. bill of material), where (in which cost comp.) do I have to assign the relevant cost element? I guess this should be the account "inventory change unfinished product? (maintain in TC: OBYC for transaction BSV according val. class)
Is it correct to assign this cost element to cost comp structure "raw material", because actually it is a semi finished product which is picked up from stock to convert /process further? To problem is, if this cost element is not assigned I get an error in CK11N/CK40N
I hope my wording is not to abstract...
    Thanks in advance...
    best Regards

    Hi..
You don’t need to consider the cost element of production order settlement and production notification.
Cost component structure need the cost element of production order’s debit.

  • GL account wrongly maintained as cost element

    Hi,
One GL account which would allow to post WIP value is wrongly assigned as Cost Element and during settlement through KO88 vlaue is not being allowed to post due to cost element gl "G/L account 711005 cannot be created as a cost element". Even after removing cost element category from table CSKB it is still not allow to post. There is no balance exist in GL account and debit and credit figure is equal.  This GL account is very vital and we have to post this GL account through settlement without assigining new gl account against this WIP.
    Kindly need any suggestion..
    Best Regards,
    Samrat Roy

    Hi Samrat,
As per my understanding you would like to delete the cost element for the WIP GL Account. and you said that the debits and credits for this GL Account are same. If there is atransaction data exists, you could not able to delete the cost element.
for this first you should delete the transaction data. i.e., need to delete the all the CO documents for that cost element. for this there is a program to delete the CO documents i.e., RKACOR20. once you delete the CO documents, then you can able to delete the cost element for the specified GL Account. then you can run the WIP without interruption.
    Thanks & Regards,
    S Vasu

  • How Cost component Determines The Correct Cost Elements?

    Hi,
In the cost component views i have cost element XXX is mapped to cost component Local raw materials and cost element YYY to imported raw materials and my local raw materials are linked to BSX inventory accounts of ZZZ. In this regard i have the following questions :-
    1) When i create cost estimates (t.code CK11N) for a local raw material the system is showing this costs correctly under local raw material cost component, how the system know that this is local raw material and not an imported raw material? Because no where in the config settings i have mapped cost element XXX to local raw materials because XXX is a consumption cost element. The only config i have maintained for this raw material is linking it to the ZZZ account which is the balance sheet stock account. So how the system will determine this particular material is linked to cost element XXX and not YYY?

    Hi,
Please check assignment cost component structure your assign the purticular cost element your assigned that cost element is showing the costing sheet in ck11n report for ram material import or local.
