Publish If Member of A and B

I'm reposting here, rather than in the general forum...
I received a request to make it easy to publish to users that are members of both Group A and Group B. The best I could come up with was a utility form to make it easy to create new group lists along these types of "and" criteria.
Does anyone have any better suggestions?

On my LR 5.6 / Windows 8.1, the B: drive (or any folder, in general) doesn't appear in the Recent list until you actually import at least one pic from there into the catalog:
But as you allude, when you select B: from the Recent list, you'll be selecting the root folder of B: and you won't get a chance to navigate to subfolders.  The most you can do is to select Include Subfolders to see all the pics on the drive.    This is adequate for many use cases, e.g. importing pics from memory cards inserted into a card reader.  But if you want the ability to browse subfolders, I think you'll need to drill down from "Other..." again.
Based on experience over the last several years, I think it is unlikely that Adobe will ever fix this.  In the last several years they have made very few changes to the Library features, and of the changes they have made, almost all are either bug fixes or introducing new features -- they've made very few changes to correctly operating but inconvenient features.
A couple more options:
- You can create a network share on the B: drive and then add that network volume to LR's source list by clicking on the "+" to the right of Source:
Now the B: drive will permanently show up as a browseable network share in the Source list:
- You can mount the USB drive to a mount point on the C: drive, e.g. C:\SANDISK64GB (see my first reply in this thread for how to do that).  But it appears that you need to create a separate mount point for each different drive that might be connected, so this approach may not work if you're frequently re-connecting lots of drives.
Hope these help.

  • What I need to create and publish a magazine for iOS and Android?

    Hi!
I would like to know what I need to design, create and publish a magazine for iOS and Android. I would also like to know what products I need, what price would you pay and what process I have to follow to carry out this work.
    Thanks in advance!

It is NOT possible to create a Single Edition app for Android. Single Edition apps work only on the iPad.
You can create Single Edition apps using any account—CC, Pro, or Enterprise—and if you cancel your DPS subscription, these Single Edition (or single-folio) apps are still available in the App Store as long as you maintain your iOS account with Apple.
For multi-folio apps, the app container is downloaded from an app store, but the folios are downloaded from the Adobe Distribution Service. If you cancel your DPS subscription, the Adobe Distribution Service basically shuts down for that app. New users can still download your apps from an app store, but the library will be empty. Existing users can still view the folios they've downloaded, but they can't get any updates or new folios.

  • Iweb wont publish picture borders wont show and mp3 in html snippet wont publish.

    Hi all,
    I'm new to this forum,
I'm following www.iweb for musicians.com website design, Roddy the man is ace.
I'm trying to publish my site with borders and flection on my first page and also a HTML snip box with a code for a mp3.
It all shows up and plays fine in my iweb program but when i publish to a folder then upload using a 3rd party ftp, these additions dont show up.
It's kind of like its maybe not 'saving'  correctly in iweb and not publishing correctly?
    Any help greatly accepted.
    Thanks,
    Paul
    iWeb 3.0.4

    iWeb always publishes correctly.
Since you paste the code in a HTML Snippet it is your responsibilty to make it work correctly.
My guess is that you also need to upload the mp3 file. So check that first.
Or wait for our resident technology ace.

  • Publish the port forwarding rules and req. for customers to use the FiOS TV features they pay for!

Please read this thread and vote.
    http://forums.verizon.com/t5/Share-Your-Ideas-with-Verizon/Publish-the-port-forwarding-rules-and-req...

Here they are, but - yes it would be great if Verizon published these, or at the very least linked to Actiontec's Website, where they publish the rules as well.   or at least sticky some of these instructions here in the forums.
Instructional Video's and step by step detailed instructions for port forwarding
How to enable BASIC Port Forwarding on the MI424WR Verizon FiOS Router (actiontec.com)
How to Configure Advanced Port Forwarding on the MI424WR Verizon FiOS Router  (actiontec.com)

PCWintech's guide to portforwarding for the Westell 327w DSL Modem

    I put my vote in.
EDIT:  I Didn't realize you were asking for the port forwarding rules to the features, I should have read better.     But yes I agree with that too.

  • Published Project for MAC (.app) and will not open external PDF files

I have two captivate (7.x) projects that I published as Win .exe apps, and they work fine.  Published the same two projects as MAC (.app) and when I run the app on the iMac, and click a click box to open an external PDF, nothing happens. The PDFs are located in the "root" folder with the .app file.
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks!

    Adobe Captivate 7

Thanks for the feedback. I was able to open some PDF files on Acrobat 5 that I recently scanned at a Fed Ex office with no issue whatsoever. I could extract pages, delete pages, etc, the software Acrobat 5 worked fine.
What I wonder is there a way I can make a change to a PDF file that will then allow me to open it in Acrobat 5? I have a gut feeling there is an adjustment that I can make in Adobe Reader after opening it that will then make the file accessible in Acrobat 5. I am playing with it but no luck thus far.

  • Publish reports to a role and roles to user

    Hi,
    What does it mean ..
Publish reports to a role and roles to user
can anybody give a detail what exactly it mean ? In implementation which stage it comes into picture ?/
    Thanks,
    Debasish

    Hi,
This publishing option is available to you when you open the query in Query designer as 8th button in top panel. To publish in a role , you should have that role to be assigned to you.

  • How to Publish to a personal domain AND .Mac?

I had a working iWeb site published to web.mac and it working fine. I added a new site in iWeb08 and set up a personal domain. When I selected the new site and published, BOTH my old site and the new one published to my personal domain. How do I tell iWeb08 to publish one site to a personal domain and another site to .Mac (.Me)?

This post is a little confusing. Do you have two sites hosted at MMe or not?
Do you mean that you used to host your business site and MMe and have now switched to uploading directly to your web host using ftp? If you have, then you can of course delete this site from your iDisk/MMe account, because if you have uploaded directly, then MMe has nothing to do with your domain name any more.
If you have not done this and you are hosting both your sites on your MMe account via either CNAME or web forwarding, then no, you can't delete that site because if you do, there is nowhere to forward to.
Password protection will not affect any other sites that you have. Just go into iWeb and set this up and then re-publish and it will just affect that site that you set it up for. Nothing else.

  • Is there any there any scenario where we have to publish "Orchestration as WCF Service" and not "Schema as WCF service"

    Hi All,
Recently in one interview a senior architect asked me this question-
Q- In which scenario we have to publish "Orchestration as WCF Service" and not "Schema as WCF service".
He also told there are some scenarios which can't be accomplished by exposing schema as WCF Service.
As per my understanding below are the benefits of exposing Orchestration as a web service, but there is no such scenario where we can't be achieved by exposing Schema as WCF Service.
Publishing orchestrations is a way to go when:
Implementing simple solutions with small number of dependencies when we have control over both consumer and service endpoints
    * Rapid prototyping, proof-of-concepts, service stubs
    * Developing local scoped services, when collaboration is not an issue
    * Don’t care much about interoperability
    * No skilled XML Schema, WSDL developers available
    (http://geekswithblogs.net/paulp/archive/2006/03/21/72943.aspx)
    Please share your inputs.
    Thanks,
    Prashant
Please mark this post accordingly if it answers your query or is helpful.

First, the answer to the question as written is NO, because there really isn't a difference between the two options.
To be more specific, the only difference is in the Wizard itself in that when you publish an Orchestration, the Wizard reads the request/response schema(s) and Service & Operation name from the Orchestration Port rather than asking for them as it does
    when you choose Publish schemas.
Basically, if you choose Publish schemas and enter the same values configured in the Orchestration Port, the output will be the same.  So, publishing an Orchestration is merely a convenient shortcut.
Most importantly though, all of this only affects the metadata publishing.  There is no difference in the Receive Location (BizTalk or IIS), if you chose to create one.  The receive stack is schema agnostic, always.
In practice, the only thing the Wizard does that is difficult to do manually is organize the metadata, but I haven't had to create a metadata endpoint in years.  The only reason I even run the Wizards is to create the IIS app.

  • I need to publish a magazine in arabic and english - what should I buy - for how much to use 15 mac books for my students to use indesign?

I need to publish a magazine in arabic and english - what should I buy - for how much to use 15 mac books for my students to use indesign?

You can only return the machine if you're within 14 days of purchase - otherwise you're just 'stuck' with what you purchased (unless you sell it, of course).
I always recommend that Retina owners order 16GB of RAM as the RAM is not upgradable - it's soldered onto the logic board.
Your call - if you're with 14 days of purchase, take it back and exchange for a 16GB model. Or sell it and buy a model with 16GB. The higher amount of memory will allow you to run far more memory-hungry apps concurrently.
    Good luck,
    Clinton

  • Publishing Projects with Web Objects and YouTube Interactions

How do I publish projects with Web Objects and YouTube interactions to ensure they appear in my published project?
I am trying to publish my project, which contains Web objects and YouTube interactions, and they will not appear if I publish them either as swf or html (sometimes the Web object will appear, but not the YouTube interactions). Both objects work if I preview them on the stage.

    Hi,
You need to copy your published output to any web server to make Web Objects and Yout Tube interaction work.

  • P6 R8.3 Problems with BI Publisher, Team Member

    Hi
I am setting up a demo server with P6 R8.3 EPPM. The process I have followed so far is:
    Install Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 on the box (2 x Quad Core Xeon, 16GB RAM, 2 x 300GB drives)
Install SQL Server 2005 and copy across our current demo R8.2 EPPM database
    Install JDK 1.6.0_41 64 bit
    Upgrade the database to R8.3
Create a new Middleware Repository for BIP
Do a "simple install" of 64bit BIP from the "generic" distro to create an instance of WebLogic 10.3 and BIP 11.0.0.6.0 within it
Install P6 R8.3 and configure it to deploy into the existing WebLogic instance
Copy the P6 Reports into BIP and set up BIP as per the docs
I had to use the db configuration tool to create (?overwrite) the old P6 Configuration data in the database as when using the web P6 Administrator it was telling me that no database was configured for administration, and I have then gone in to adjust the URL for the database and the link to BI Publisher.
The supported configurations document also says that a patch needs to be applied to WebLogic 11g and I have tried applying it but it seems to be ignoring it - an earlier build attempt using a 32 bit version of WebLogic installed separately from BIP did take the patch, so maybe there is a later version of WebLogic bundled with BIP?... In any case, I am not seeing the error the patch was released to fix.
As of now, I have a working P6 environment with all data carried over from the 8.2 environment. There are 2 odd things happening though, and I can't see any reason for them:
First, any user trying to access Team Member Web Services gets an error message at login saying they are configured to use Progress Reporter to update progress. This happens regardless of the Module Access settings for that user, it just doesn't seem to work any more. Is there more I have to do here?
Second, I can't get the reports tab in EPPM to work, and always get the error message saying that the user is not configured in BI Publisher. Just to be clear what I have done:
I followed the procedure in the docs for setting up P6 reports in BIP and have checked it numerous times.
BIP is using the BIP Security model with a local superuser
The JDBC connection to the P6 database works, and I can login as any of the users in BIP that I set up to match the P6 users, and execute reports within BIP and see results returned
Those P6 users have got Enterprise Reporting module access
I have bounced both P6 and BIP several times within WebLogic, and WebLogic is showing all the various subsystems are running OK (as is Enterprise Manager)
I have compared the setup of this version of BI and P6 to those in our working R8.2 system, and the only 2 differences I can see are
    BI is 11.0.0.5.0  for R8.2 and 11.0.0.6.0 for R8.3
When I assigned the data model to the reports in R8.3, the icon for the report disappeared and now just displays as a black box with an x in - but it only did this for some reports (eg the Activity ones)
One thing I am not clear on is the format of the URL for the BI web services - some docs say it should end in ?WSDL, others don't (for the combination of BIP 11g and SQl Server). I have tried both forms without seeing any change in behaviour (Typing either form into a browser results in a response so the web services system is definitely alive).. I have also tried changing the path to the reports from "/P6Reports" (which it actually is) to "/P6REPORTS" (which works in our R8.2 system, even though that's not what the folder is named - its also /P6Reports), but again that doesn't make any difference. Finally, I have tried logging into BIP directly using the credentials saved in the configuration and they work fine.
I am completely stumped - can anyone offer any further things to try out?

    Alex
I have finally had an answer from Oracle about the BI Publisher issue, which is due to the fact that I installed the WebLogic bundled inside the Oracle Business Intelligence media set which is 10.3.5, while P6 R8.3 requires 10.3.6
So for the products to share an instance of WebLogic that both can use, you have to install WebLogic first from its own media set and without creating any domains. Then you patch it as specified in the Supported Configurations document, then install BI Publisher using the "Software Only" option, deploy that into a new domain, and finally install/deploy P6 into its own domain.
I now can see the reports in P6, but running them within P6 is producing an error. The Team Member issue is still partly there - assigning Team Member access to a user who didn't previously have it seems to work, but those who had it in 8.2 still can't login as the system still thinks they are set up for Progress Reporter. We have also encountered a problem where the whole top half of the user interface - the main tabs and the menu in the top RH corner - all is grayed out and becomes inactive at various points. I have found this listed as a bug related to Java 7 in the client browser which is fixed in R8.3 SP1 so I am now going to try to install that across all the various components of the product and see what happens...

  • Can't publish -- ".mac member name is not correct"

    Hi everyone,
I am no stranger to iCal publishing, I have been using it for many years for business and personal use.
I came across a confounding issue today: my personal calender wouldn't refresh to my .mac account. I thought it might just be an issue of my internet connection at the moment, but a few hours later still the same problem. I unpublished the calendar and attempted to republish, but an error came up :
"Calendar could not be published. .Mac member name is not correct. Publishing to .Mac requires a properly configured .Mac account."
Okay, so I followed the button to my System Prefs, checked to make sure I was logged in. All that was fine, resync'ed just in case. I retyped my .mac username and password to make sure, but the error still comes up. I went online and checked...everything is working, mail, homepage, etc. but iCal refuses to publish. Restarted, repaired permissions, quit and restarted iCal...still nothing.
I can safely say I am stumped by this. Anyone have an idea?
    Thanks!

Well, it seems that the system has fixed itself...the calendar published without incident today. I guess it wasn't on my end!

  • View button issue in BI publisher 101.3.4.0 and 10.1.3.4.1

    Hi,
Initially I had a BI Publisher 10.1.3.4.0 in OAS 10.1.3.4.0 that I sorted out from Oracle_Home\config\ias.properties file
Then my clients were facing an issue with the View Button, when u'd want to print or generate reports in whichever available format.
The issue was that the view button does not get disabled after clicking it for the first time. If its a huge report, it wud take time to get generated. However clients impatiently click on the view button again an again thinking that they would get quicker response.
The underlying concept, when the first request is not completed, and then you send a second request and third and fourth..... there springs up heavy load on the database end.
I had raised an SR with Oracle on Metalink. Oracle is unable to provide a solution.
Ofcourse the asked me to upgrade it to 11g, which is not possible.
Eventually they gave me patch 11931697.
I went ahead and successfully applied the patch.
But the problem continues during report generation. The VIEW button still is active and allows my clients to click on it any number of time eventually causing heavy load on the Database end.
    Please help...
    Regards
    Lam.

    Hello Jorge,
My extreme apologies. Didn't know I was actually talking to a Pro.
What I did is, I deployed the xmlpserver application from 10.1.3.4.1 in BI publisher 10.1.3.4.0, and only kept the xmlp folder and xmlp-server-config.xml file the same.
At least the hour glass/clock is now seen rotating when the report is generated. That way my customers are assured that processing is going on and they can wait patiently unlike in the earlier case, no hour glass and customers thinks they need to press the VIEW button again and again undesirably.
Seen your BLOG, am really impressed Sir..! Allow me to call you "Sir". Its outta deep Respect.
However I am still waiting for Oracle for their Final say on this case. They have converted my SR to a BUG. :-)
    Cheers.
    Lam
