Pulling through the Variant description to the sales order

Is there a way to change the material description in the sales order to match the Characteristic Value?  Is there an enhancement that may work?  Also, looking for an enhancement that will update the Equipment Master description based on the serial number with the Characteristic Value
Example:
Characteristic  XXXX Unit
Characteristic Value number one :  XXXX   Standard Unit
Characteristic Value number two:    XXXX  Standard Unit with  Upgrade
Example:
Sales Order was for the variant XXXX  Standard Unit with  Upgrade
I would like to update the Equipment Master with this; so in the event a RMA was created we know which variant is being sent in for repair.
Material Number: XXXXXX
Serial Number XXXXXXX
Description: XXXX  Standard Unit with  Upgrade

  • To update the status of the Sale Order through Pl/sql(backend)

    Hi folks.
May I how to alter the status of Sale Order from 'Entered' to 'Awaiting for Approval' when the sale order was booked. After approval only it needs to change into 'BOOKED'.
    Requirement Scenaria as follows:
    Activity Status
    1) Sale Order Creation Entered
    2) Booking the Sale Order Awaiting For Approval
    3) After Approved 'Booked'
    or
    4) After Rejected Rejected --- should not be available for pick and ship.
Please tell me the solution to alter the status and I had already tried both normal update statement and update through sale order API.Both didnt work.
kindly find me an appropriate solution
Note:I had already altered the OE order header workflow to go for approval when Sale order booked
    Thanks in advance

Apparently, your Sales Order Type has Approval Workflow associated. Have the approver approve it from the Notifications window. Alternatively have a script to approve the workflow with userid as the approver's, in order for approval and booking.
In case of forced Booking, use OE_ORDER_PUB.PROCESS_ORDER API to pass the Order Details along with BOOKED_FLAG='Y' and FLOW_STATUS_CODE='BOOKED'.
    let me know,

  • Dates fields issue in the sales orders through IDOC

    Hi all,
I'm trying to create a sales order through Inbound IDOC using IDOC_INPUT_ORDERS.
I have 2 custom fields in the sales order which are date fields.
I'm populating them from the IDOC segments(using E1EDKT1-tdid, E1EDKT2-tdline) in the user-exit just before the call trasacation statement. These dates are not coming for a few orders... but are getting populated normally for few of them.
But the tricky part is that... if I process the same IDOC for the second time.. the order created is having the dates.
My issue is that.. i need all the orders to be populated with the dates which IDOC have.
Could anyone please help me with this issue.
All the answers/replies are highly appreciated!!
    Thanks for you help!

    hi,
the following may be of help
There are 2 major exceptions to the batch input internal table. All text data from the segments E1EDKT1/2 and E1EDPT1/2 are not part of the batch input session. Text elements from these segments are posted directly to the data base AFTER the sales order has been created (please note: in order that item texts are posted correctly to the sales order the field POSEX from segment E1EDP01 MUST be transmitted). Also, configurable material information from the IDOC is exported to a global memory and therefore will not be part of the batch input session. Configurable material data is performed in Form CHECK_CONFIGURATION and the data is exported to global memory in the following code:
Exportiert IDOC Daten ins globale Memory
export IDOC data to global memory
      call function 'CUXC_IDOC_TO_MEMORY'
           tables
                cfg_instref = xe1curef
                cfg_ref     = xe1cucfg
                inst        = xe1cuins
                part_of     = xe1cuprt
                value       = xe1cuval
           exceptions
                error       = 1
                others      = 2.
One extra piece of useful infomartion if you wish to debug the process is to set your breakpoints at the following points
    for Function module IDOC_INPUT_ORDERS
    include LVEDAF0F..
      CALL TRANSACTION 'VA01' USING bdcdata
                                MODE  input_method
                                UPDATE 'S'
                                MESSAGES INTO xbdcmsgcoll.
Now input_method is A foreground process and N for background processing but try changing it to P (pass through mode)
If you have breakpoints in va01, e.g. MV45AF0B_BELEG_SICHERN,(the part where the sales document is saved)
    they will be hit, e.g
    perform userexit_save_document_prepare.
    perform userexit_save_document.
Lastly, don't forget using program SDJEDI , see note 380603 for more information on this
    Hope this is useful

  • Regd : Error during saving the  sales order for Variant configuration

    Hi -
When the item( config material) is saved in the sales order , system scheduled the production order and getting an error as " Posting Rule for Assembly order for item 000010 could not be generated".
    Any solutions regarding the error.

    Hi,
This is the process of Assembly to order with variant configuration. In material master, you can maintain gen item category 0002 (configurable material) in basic data view, sales 2 view item category grp 0002 and strategy group 82 in MRP 3 view. After creating of material master, BOM & Routing, You can create sales order in VA01 transaction.
In this VA01, When you create sales order, system will check material availability, capacity checking and system will show variants for each items. And also when you will save the sales order, system will create production order no immdiately.
So you can maintain the above settings compulsory.
please let me know any clarification.

  • While saving the sales order through Va01 and Va02 and email has to send

    Hi Experts,
My requirement is to send an email with PDF formatted display of the Sales order to the sold to party's email id while saving the Salesorder through Va01 and Va02.
    I need the following .
How to send an email with PDF formatted attachment of Salesorder display ? (we have done the formatting of display through SMARTFORMS )
I think we can do it by userexits program name is MV45AFZZ while saving the document.
Please suggest me the best possible way.
    Thanks ,
    Saritha

Hi, there is no need for a customer devlopment on this. A standard smartform output will do with output medium '5' (external send). Then the smartform output will be send as PDF to the e-mail address in the output partner. Have a look at transaction NACE.

  • Adding Variant in Header Level in the Sales Order

Field "Card Verification Value" (CVV) is part of the Standard from Support Package SAPKH47028 onwards. But if you like you can use a variant for screen SAPMV45A4440 and set
field "Card Verif.Code" to invisible in this variant.
This is the reply from SAP after implementing the new support pack. Now there is an additional field in VA01 that I am trying to remove.
I can add the variant in Table Settings but that is on Item Level in the Sales Order (VA01). How do I do it in Header Level?

    Hi,
Go to SHD0 ,write down the Transaction code , transaction variant then go to Tab " With Processing'.
Now you will be in T Code VA01 ,press enter and you will get all the variants maintained in Header Level.
Now you can activate / deactivate as per your requirement.
    Best Regards,

  • Uploading Purchase Order Against the Sales Order through DTW

    Hi Experts,
I searched the forum but could not see anything regarding this.
Can I upload Purchase Orders against the Sales Orders using DTW upload facility? Manually we do it through the Logistics Tab in Sales Order.
    Thank you in advance.
    Kind Regards,
    IC

    Hi,
You can use the BaseType, BaseEntry and BaseLine columns for this in the row level template (DLN1):
BaseType: it's the Object Type of base document (ORDR.ObjType) which is '17' in case of Sales Order
BaseEntry: it's the Document Entry of the base document (ORDR.DocEntry)
BaseLine: it's the row number of the line in the base document (RDR1.LineNum)
If you import your Delivery Notes with this info, the link to the Sales Order will be updated just as if you used Copy To in SAP.
    Regards,
    Nat

  • How to pull the Sale order number(sales document) to Accounting document

    Hi Gurus,
How to pull the sale order number to the accounting document.
Is any configuration needed to this.
When i run the FBL5N Repoprt ,Sale order number (Sales document) is not getting updated to accounting document. It is diplaying as blank field.
    Thanks you.

    Hi Shivaji,
In order to display the Sales document in the customer line item report, you need to add it as a special field thorugh customizing settings.
Path - SPRO - FA-GL Accounting - GL Accounts - Line Items - Define special fields for finding and sorting data and in that select the table BSEG-and field VBEL2 (Sales document) and save/
This will work. hope this helsp

  • How Variant Configuraton data  from Sales Order stored in the database

    Hi,
I understand that the "variant configuration" data (chosen values for each characteristics assigned to material) from a sales order is stored separately with reference of an object in SAP.
Please let me know how SAP stores such data -source in the database tables.
This is required to draw a report of these charateristics values for various sales orders (Transactional data).
I also understand that there are function modules to retrieve this data, but the function modules are unable to retrieve data as accurately as the VA03 program.
    Thank you for your advice.
    Regards,
    Hemant

    Hi ,
I do not know what a reference charactersitcs is,but there are all independant characeristics in terms of their values.
A guess it is because the VC data is changed after the sales order is created, the updated VC data is displayed properly only in VA02 or VA03 but other function modules fail to display the updated VC data.
I understand there is a relationship of instance -between sales order object and VC data object-which we need to update and then see the latest data.
Please let me know if anyone has debgged VA03 to know how the standard SAP program retrieves VC data in a sales order.
    Thank you,
    Hemant

  • Problem in blocking that amount in the sales order through routein

    Dear Experts,
We are facing a problem in Routine,
We have developed a Z rebate module in that we are saving the accrual value for a perticular customer in "Z" Table.
We are having a senerio of adjusting that perticular accrued amount in the next month sales order as a discount  at the item level. In table  itself we fix this much amount as to flow to sales order for a Perticular material (EX- for 100001 material 5 rs per TON).
We have devaloped 901 routine that will go to "z" table and check any accrued amount is there then depending on the quantity ordered it will take accrual amount (simultanusly it will block the respective amount in the "z" table) and it will come and update in sales order pricing. Once we save sales order then it will reduse the perticular amount in from "z" table.
Now we are facing a problem, when we create a sales order first time depending on quantity routine will pull the value from "z" table and it will block respective amount in the "z" table. but before saving the sales order if you change the quantity again (EX- from 100 qty to 200 qty) then the routine is not pulling any value because the amount is already blocked.
Can any one tell me how check in run time this was the earlier quantity and this is changes quantity Or is there any logic to block that perticular amount.
    Regards
    Nagesh

    HI Sree
Could you please justify your post stating
"Now we are facing a problem, when we create a sales order first time depending on quantity routine will pull the value from "z" table and it will block respective amount in the "z" table. but before saving the sales order if you change the quantity again (EX- from 100 qty to 200 qty) then the routine is not pulling any value because the amount is already blocked. "
Your discount is based on qty, so when you are adding new item means order qty increased, so discount is applicable.
Or please put your requirement clearly

  • NO MATERIALs in the Sales order created through inbound idoc file

    hi,
i have maintained the customer material number as well the SAP Material number in the tcode VD51,but still the inbound
idoc type ORDERS03 is posting the application document(Sales order) without the materials.
    for instance,
I have cust.material as CUSTMAT1 in the idoc file.
I have maintained the CUSTMAT1 as cust material and 1001 as material no in VD51.
After posting the inbound idoc file using RSEINB00 prg,the idoc is created and i can see the CUSTMAT1 in the material segment field
The Sales order is created successfully ,but without the materials.
i need the application document has to be posted with materialsm, can any one help me to solve this issue.?
    Thanks

    Hi ganesh ram
In order to determine the Material Number with you custom material then you needs to have some configurations.
Check with your Functional consultant to add the Access sequence for determining the Material Number with you custom material
    In Sale order processes...
    Thanks

  • Manually Enter the Sales Order Schedule Line

    Dear All,
I have a requirement where Sales Order will be created by Customer Service with Quantity and customer requested delivery date.  Subsequently Planning department will go to the sales order schedule lines and enter manually the delivery date and confirmed quantity (multiple schedule lines) based on the stock/availability.  They also need to do some changes in the shedule line if required.  But when I try, the manually entered schedule lines are disappeared.  Could any one advice how to set this up?
    Thanks,
    Regards,
    Venkat

    Hi Venkat
A schedule line gets grade out because this has been determined . through schedule line determination. . Now in the shipping data tab you can change the schedule line tab if you want .  manually you can change the request delivery date also.
But it is not advisable to change the schedule line because again the affect of availability check will vary.
But can we know for what purpose you want to change the schedule line when you create the sales order. Any reason .For what purpose you are going for that customization ?For what purpose?

  • How to update the condition price in the sales order for all the items

    Hi,
How to update the condition price for all the itmes in the sales order to carry out the new price automatically through a stand alone program, for all the orders in the billing due list table?
    Thanks,
    Balaram

    Hi,
There is a change in the requirement.
    Scenario:
I have created a sales order with some 4 condition types, in that 2 condition types are of class A & B and the other two is of class C. Here I need to update the condition price of class A & B only and the remaining condition types should not get update even though there is an updated price is available.
For the above scenario, I need to write a standalone program. Do we have any function modules to update the price of the single condition in the sales order? Please tell me how we can update the sales order at item condition level.
    Thanks.
    Balaram

  • Hi All, We are in to Release 11.5.10.2.There is a specific requirement to Prevent users from creating Manual Sales Orders in oracle and yet users should be able to book the Sales Orders Imported from CRM system into Orcale. Please advise.

Hi All, We are in to Release 11.5.10.2.There is a specific requirement to Prevent users from creating Manual Sales Orders in Oracle and  yet users should be able to book the Sales Orders Imported from CRM system into Orcale. Please advise.

    Thanks for your advise.
However, I missed to mention that we have two set of users  One is for Finished Goods and another for Spares.
Only Spares users need to be prevented from creating Direct/Manual Sales Orders in Oracle.
As you suggested, if this will be done at Form level, that may Disallow FG users also to create Manula Sales Orders which should not be the case.
Further, I tried to test one scenario through Processing Constraints but it did not work.
