    Hi
    You can use an Internal Order for Budgeting for capital asset purchases. In your purchase order make internal order as compulsory. there after for your Controlling area, create an internal order type and set up avaiability control for the same. Then create an internal order and assign a budget in KO22. Thereafter in purchase transaction give reference of this internal order. System would do a check for budget for asset procurement.

    At the time of making down payment to vendor under capital assets purchase specify the purchase order number. For this vendor reconcialtion account and down payment special g/l symbol should assign first in OBYR.
    There u can choose the special gl indicators.

    What you suggested is the ideal approach...
    However, if they say that the budget allocated to capital purposes (70%) applies to both capital projects and expenses and they would like to control it together, but have reports separately, it is not possible with standard SAP...
    If they want to have just one IO for both cap and exp, You can suggest them a work around to capture CAPITAL or EXPENSE in a ref field (XREF1 in BSEG) and you can run KOB1 with XREF1 displayed in it....
    In standard KOB1, XREF1 is not displayed, you have to use Exit COOMEP01 to include the fields you want... Add XREF1 to the Structure CI_RKPOS and write your code in the include ZXKAEPU01 of EXIT_SAPLKAEP_001
    Without an identifier @ the time of booking the transaction in the system (Either by way of IO or a ref field), you wont be able to generate reports later on

  • 4 Entries for 1 purchase of capital goods

    Dear Gurus,
    I am Purchasing excisable Capital Goods ( Either from local or Import Vendor). In both cases in RG 23 c Part 1, register shows 4 entries for only one capital purchase. BUt in RG23part2, system is considering first entry out of 4 entries from RG23CPart 1.WHy it is like that ?.
    What is the CIN Rule for AED. is is 50 % this year  and 50% next year or full 100 % in current year in case of capital goods AED.
    Please Help.

    As per Std. rule u can take the ADC credit 100% in the Current year for Capital Goods.

  • How to create a Credit Note to the client for purchasing of an Asset last y

    Hi,
    I have an issue in Asset Accounting as it showed bellow:
    Assets depreciation start date is 1st October 2007.
    We have run the depreciation up to November 2007.
    Than we sold the asset in December.
    However, after the end closed year 2007, client returned the asset in 1 st January 2008.
    So i need to create a Credit Note to the client for purchasing of an Asset last year, but we don't know how to create it?
    We thinks that correct movement should be debit in extraordinary cost / profits account, debit in asset account, credit in accumulated depreciation account and credit in client account.
    Plz help. I will assign full points for any useful answer.

    How did you sell the asset?
    You can just reverse the sale transaction by going to transaction AB08.

    Still if you want to procure an asset from Cash Journal, there is a workaround available. You have to route the transaction via Clearing Account (Balance sheet A/c). The Business Transaction in the Cash Journal will be mapped to a Clearing account specifically created for Asset Procurement. The entry which will be passed is
    Asset Clearing Account Dr.
    Cash A/c Cr.
    Then you will have to pass a entry for taking this amount from the Asset Clearing account to the Asset. The entry will be
    Asset A/c Dr.
    Asset Clearing Account Cr.
    You have to activate the Open Item Management for the Asset Clearing Account.

    Use transaction ABZON to aquire the Asset that will post following entry...
    Asset A/c Dr. INR 50,000
    Offset A/c Cr. INR 50,000 (this account is clearing account, you can name as you like)
    Now asset is aquired with full value of INR 50,000
    Now you want to make payment in 5 installments so you will pass following entry for 5 intallments..
    Offset A/c Dr. INR 10,000
    Cash A/c Cr. INR 10,000
    So after 5 installments your offset account is zero and payment is made in full.

    Asset Accounting ->Valuation -> Amount Specifications (Company Code/Depreciation Area) -> Specify Max. Amount for Low-Value Assets + Asset Classes.

    Sorry I can't give you any documentation, but let me give you a little explanation about refurbishment.
    Refurbishment is a process to repair our  repairable spare part, then return that spare part back to the equipment, or to warehouse.
    1. Warehouse make a good receipt 'other' for the repairable spare part, (spare part is received at warehouse)
    2. Make a refurbishment order (IW81). We can repair the sparepart by our technician, or by external service
    3. Make a good issue to refurbishment order
    4. Repair faulty spare
    5. Perform good receipt with reference to refurbishment order.
    6. Order close

    Can someone direct me to the v11 admin guides for Workforce and Capital Asset Planning? They are not available on the documentation website, and I can not determine which download, if any, they are included in any of the downloads on the E-Delivery site.

    I'm not aware that these items exist now (which is a little disappointing).
    The last workforce admin guide was from 9.3 it appears as if it were removed on purpose.
    The name of it is wfp_admin.pdf
    It used to exist in the downloadable 9.3 documentation which currently has a link that does not work.
    Suggest you log a ticket with support and escalate it as the first level folks will not be able to assist much on missing documentation.

    Hi,
    You first need to create Asset Number in transaction AS01. This is normally done by finance people. Once you get the asset number, create purchase order in transaction ME21N, by selection account assignment as A - Asset. Enter other data such as material number, quantity, requirement date, price, tax code. In the account assignment tab at item level, enter the asset number you got while creating the asser in transaction AS01. Save the purchase order.
    Once you receive the material against this purchase order, the accounting entries will be done against the asset number.

  • Purchase Requisition for asset services

    Hello,
    I have a task to modify a purchase requisition (tcode:me51n) with item category (service) and account assignment (asset services) for filing automatically the asset field (ESKN-ANLN1) based on specific service-activity number (ESLL-SRVPOS). These fields are at items details screen and asset number at account assignment tab.
    Until now I have achieved to link an asset with specific service in service master through classification. This information is stored at AUSP. Also, I am taking the activity number using a field symbol and asset number with select from AUSP. The problem is that the asset value doesn’t have an export at screen. I have tried user exits EXIT_SAPLMLSK_001 from enhancement SRVESLL, exits from enhancement mereq001 and the exit EXIT_SAPLKACB_002 from ACCOBL01 and also the badi ME_PROCESS_REQ_CUST, but I couldn’t achieve to pass the asset number as export to screen .
    Could any expert help me to this ?

    we can maintained below combination of account assignment and item category as per the business requirement and as per the selected combination of account assignment and item category PO document type gets differs.
    Account assignment- Blank and Item category -Blank - PO type will be standard PO (for Domestic Vendor)
    Account assignment- Blank and Item category -Blank - PO type will be Import PO (for Foreign Vendor)
    Account assignment- F (Internal Order) and Item category -Blank - PO type will be standard PO
    Account assignment- F (Internal Order) and Item category -D(Service) - PO type will be Service PO
    Account assignment- A(Asset) and Item category -Blank - PO type will be capital PO
    Account assignment- A (Internal Order) and Item category -D(Service) - PO type will be Capital PO / Service PO
    Account assignment- K(Cost Center) and Item category -Blank - PO type will be standard PO
    Account assignment- K(Cost Center) and Item category -D(Service) - PO type will be Service PO
    In all account assignment ,G/L account will be mandatory field along with selected account assignements in PR/PO.
    create services from AC01 (similar as Material Master) to keep unique records in system . and then select these service codes while creating PR.
    Use below steps:
    1 ) Select account assignment
    2) Select Item Category
    3) Enter Short text as service specification ( same as material description) ( Example - Main Service specification - Floor Cleaning)
    4) Qty is always 1
    5) Select UOM
    6) Select Service Material Group
    7) Fill up all mandatory details
    8) Under Service Tab , you need to now provide all service specifcations one by one. ( Example- sub services 1st Floor Cleaning ,2nd Floor)
    9) then you have to provide Price
    10) Required Qty ( In case of you giving salary to workers for month ,then Qty will be 30/31 as per month ,and UOM will be Day)
