Purchase |Order cannot be released Message BL001

Dear Friends,
I am new to this forum.  I am facing a problem with Purchase Document release. 
Two release codes GC and PH are assigned to same PO Class.  Charecteristics for release are different for each codes.  for release code GC is purchasing document type and Plant.  For PH is again Purchasing document type, purchase order value and Purchase group.  All have been put together in one class and i am not able to add a new class in release group.  Request you to provide a solution for this.

can you give some more details that you assigned the two release codes in same release strategy or different release strategy.
if it is assigned to same release strategy then the Charecteristics for release should be same.
for ex: you have two plants A & B
now you want to get a approval from a Asst.Manager, if the po price is more than Rs.200000. (for Plant A)
and you want to get a approval from a Manager, if the po price is more than Rs.400000.
in this case, you have to create two release code one is for Asst.Manager & another one is for Manager.
But the characteristics should be same that is your plant & doc type.

    During this period any release stratergies changed for pr ?  after de release the pr just modified small value and make it same again this is nothing but refresh.

    I'm on a SRM 7.0 SP 5 system (ext-classic scenario). Here i try to create an invoice with reference to a Purchase Order, but none of my Purchase Orders can be used for reference. I get the following warning message 'All items from purchase order cannot be invoiced'.<br />

    - Created via POWL (create with reference -&gt; invoice/credit memo) i always get the warning message 'All items from purchase order cannot be invoiced'. And no items are converted / can be used for invoicing. Additionally when i use the search option 'find purchase order' within the create invoice transaction i can not find any purchase order to use, it shows 'There is no search result' while there are plenty purchase orders marked with 'invoice expected'.<br />

    I am able to create invoices without reference.<br />
    <br />
    I tried vendors set up only for 'invoice expected' and 'GR', 'invoice expected' / 'GR' / 'GR-based-IV' and 'invoice expected' only none of them works, indicators set on vendor master are correctly used on the created purchase order. Outputting PO doesn't make any difference neither.<br />

    I have not set up the following (do i need to?):<br />
    - Deactivated the 'CRME' transaction type, no Credit Memo transaction type has been configured/is active.<br />
    - I have not defined the 'INV' transaction type as a follow-on document for my ECPO transaction type within the define transaction type transaction.<br />

    when i try to unrelease the PO thru Txn ME29N
    the system gives the said message
    Purchasing document 4800003821 cannot be released
        Message no. MEPO823                          
    even when i enter the po no it on starts give the message
    wat may be the reason
    its urgent

    may be missing of Authorizations ?

    PO release is a approval procedure. If a PO fulfills certain conditions (e.g. the total order value exceeds $10,000), it has to be approved (by the cost center manager, for instance) before it can be processed further. This process of approving is knows as release procedure.
    PO revision refers to changes made to PO. If an existing PO is changed, the system can print an amended PO displaying the changes. The first change is printed as 'amendment no. 1", the second as 'amendment no. 2" and so on.

  • Novated Purchase orders cannot be changed error

        while trying to edit the PO we are getting an error as " Novated Purchase orders cannot be changed" . I am confused that which field is used to differentiate the normal PO to that of novated PO at portal level.  Please let us know why this error occurs and how can we solve the issue ?

    A Novation is agreement of parties usually done in conjunction with an assignment where upon the assignment there is now a new agreement between the original party whose contract was assigned and the party to whom the contract was assigned that in effect extinguishes (cancels) the old agreement and relieves the assigning party of liability under the contract. 
    For example if A and B have a contract and there is an assignment and novation of that contract by B to C, the contract would now be between A and C and B would no longer be liable to A under the contract as the “novation” extinguishes their liability.
    If you wanted to prevent a novation you might include something like the following:
    “This contract shall be binding on the parties and their respective successors and permitted assigns. Except in the instance of an assignment or transfer by Buyer of all or any portion of this agreement, the assigning party shall remain liable for the performance of any assigned or transferred obligations hereunder.
    The requirements for a novation may vary by jurisdiction. For example in New York for there to be a novation it must specifically say it is a novation. In assignment consent letters Suppliers may try to create a novation by the words they use where the language in affect would say that Buyer may only look to the new entity going forward. Please check with the PO which supplier is being used and also check is there any third party involvement in that PO.

    Its simple prasad ur PO is suject to release strategy (Approval process) so the authorized person has to release the PO through the following process -
    Just go to Transaction ME29N or ME28, enter ur PO no.
    If u follow ME28 give ur release grp / code enetr PO no. and execute ur PO will be reflected in the list put the cursor there and press Release+Save Iconit will release the PO and then u will able make the GR.
    If u follow ME29N then give ur PO no. and go to release tab at the header level and press release icon.

  • The purchase order cannot be created on Hold

    Hello gurus,
    I have a doubt, when I want to create a purchase order (transaction ME21N) adopting a purchase requisition, the button "Hold" dissapear.
    Any reason why the button "Hold" is missing when adopt the purchase requisition to the purchase order?
    I need to save the purchase order on Hold after the adopting, but, I cannot find the button.

         that is on hold is changed (transaction ME22N).

         o  The PO contains "third-party" items                                       
         o  Commitment errors are involved

  • BBP purchase order cannot be changed in R/3. Can only be displayed.

    Hi,
    (1) I am trying to changes the Payment term in the PO from 0012 to 0000.
    But getting error as "BBP purchase order cannot be changed in R/3"
    (2) As Invoice is already booked against this PO. I feel the change Payment terms will not come in the picture.
    If I want to change the payment terms as well as it should come in the consideration for payment. Then what can be done? what is the way forward?

    plz check the settings in spro > material management > purchasing > purchase order > define screen layout at document level.
    here you plz check the settings for aktv and me22n for "terms of delivery and payment".
    check whther it is optional entry or not.

    Hi,
    To block any changes in the purchase order to after release, set Changeability  indicator as 1 for  Release ID "R" in following path & save.:
    SPRO ->MM - Purchasing -> PO -> Rlease Procedure for PO -> Define Release for PO -> Release Indicator
    NOTE:If you set  Changeability  indicator as 3, PO can be changed after release and trigger a  new release strategy based on value changes.

  • Purchase Order Controlled by Release Budget Amount.

    I have created project upto level 2 wbs element.with ext services.
    In Budgeting,
    In CJ30 Tcode i have allocated budget Rs.100000/-
    In CJ32 Tcode i have released above mentioned same amount for WBS 1.
    In Purchase Ordering,
    While creating PO In ME21N Tcode i have taken services for WBS 1 for which PO net amount is more than Rs.100000/-
    When i go for saving of PO.The system must show Error "PO Amount is more than Released Budget.
    Pls tell me the customizing setting for above mentioned scenario.By doing this setting system must show error while saving PO.
    Pls help me urgently.

    As far as I see, all the customizing settings are correct in this case. But just to summarize, please make sure:
    a) In budgeting profile (OPS9) make sure flag "releases" is set
    b) In CJ32 verify you have released budget for the WBS element (or superior)
    c) In CJ02 verify that status BUDG and AVAC are active for the WBS element
    d) In customizing path Project System > Costs > Budget > Define Tolerance Limits make sure you have entered the necessary tolerance limits for your budgeting profile. At least, one entry with Activity group ++,  action 3 and usage 100,00 is necessary in your case.
    e) In OPTK transaction, please make sure you have not included any cost element for your controlling area.
    f) In ME22N make sure the PO is correctly account assigned to the WBS element
    Once all this is done, please run CJBN and retest.
    If you still don´t get the error when posting the PO, please send the output of BPFCTRA0 report

  • Release Tab in purchase order disappear after release using ME29n

    Hi there,
    We are busy testing support stacks (upgrading from ECC6 SAP_APPL SAPKH60305 to SAPKH60307)and we've come accross a strange problem.  When we create a normal purchase order (ME21n) the purchase order does pick up a release strategy.  Using the older ME28 transaction to release this purchase order, everything is fine.  We can use ME28 to release the purchase order, as well as unreleasing the purchase order, as often as we want (the same purchase order).  When we use transaction ME29n the release tab in the purchase order just simply disappears after saving.  In the purchase order header changes, the release change is visible, but the release tab is missing.  This purchase order is now not subject for release, and a goods receipt is possible without release.  I checked in table EKKO as well and the release fields in this table for this purchase order is empty.
    Has anybody had a similar experience?  Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

  • Adobe MM Purchase Order - Output as FAX Message Type - Output Missing

    Hi All,
    Hope some one has some pointers on what to do here, I am at a bit of a loss.
    Situation.
    I have developed a Adobe Purchase order based on the std form MEDRUCK_PO supplied with the ECC6 R/3 system.  We have kept the same interface inputs, so no changes would be required to the SAP std output program.
    Any additional customising data was implemented as globals in the interface and coded accordingly.
    The purchase order is produced and output when using the output type of printer.  However when we change the output type to FAX no output is produced.  By this I mean no changes are shown in the wait queue in SCOT and no messages are shown in SOST.  However the record in NAST shows that the output was produced OK.
    Questions:
    1) Does the SAP std program need to be modified if the output type is FAX?
    2) What configuration changes are required if any to get this working?

    It is not possible to FAX Adobe Output using the SAP std Supplied code in ECC6 SP12.

  • Rework purchase order - serial number error message

    We created a sub-contracting purchase order for re-work so we are issuing same material and receiving same material. The corresponding material is serial managed. So we will issue the same serial number and we will recieve the same serial number in this scenario. While doing GR we are getting an error message by saying that we can't receive the same serial number for the given material. If any one come across this scenario please let me know the solution

                  This is an issue in ECC5.0. you can not receive the same serial number on rework purchase order if you have already executed a 541 movement on same serial number. You need to change the serial number status to receive it again into system.
    Try to change the serial number status from ESTO to AVLB in IQ02, if system doesn't allow to change the serial number status, you need to switch the serial number profile to a different one which will allow you to change the serial number status in IQ02.
    once you change the serial number status to AVLB, system will allow you to recieve the serial number

    Purchaser A tried to create purchase order with SC xxxxx, he received error message "Enter exactly one partner of type Vendor " . SC has 2 lines, both have the same vendors but the message is displayed only for item 1.
    What I should I do to avoid/solve  this problem.

    it seems that a vendor was added twice to the document. It is possible that a vendor is added within the CHANGE BAdI (BBP_DOC_CHANGE_BADI).
    Ask the user to hold the SC.
    Check the cart with transaction BBP_PD. Enter the SC no. in field object_id and click on the header data in the output list.
    Check the partner entries if there is more than 1 vendor assigned.
