Purchase order - error in deleted items

Hi all,
I have the following situation: when changing an existent purchase order, if I have a deleted item with an error, the system doesn't allow me to save the purchase order if I don't correct the error in the deleted item.
I have a requirement for the client to suppress this behaviour.
Any ideas on this?
Thanks in advance.
Best regards,
Sónia Gonçalves

Hi,
First of all, thank you all for your answers.
I got this from SAP:
"As per system design, the PO item must be free of errors before you can save it (even if it is deleted). This is to ensure that no error appears suddenly if the PO item is later undeleted. SAP generally
allows saving only if the entered data is consistent, so that it does not cause unexpected errors later"
I have a requirement to suppress this behaviour, since the client doesn't understand why they have to correct a deleted item.
Any ideas on a user-exit ou badi where I could ignore this validation and how?
Thanks.
Best regards,
Sónia Gonçalves

  • Error: Purchase order 4500000830 has no items in mb1b 541

    Hi All,
I have created a Sub contracting Purchase Order with ITem Category L and Account Assignment E.
Now iam getting problem while issuing Stock to Subcontractor thru MB1B 541 Mov type. It is throwing error like Purchase order 4500000830 has no items.
Scenario is My client creates pos based on Sales order only. Now he want to Issue stock to Subcontractors based on sales order.
for this, I created Semifinished material, two raw components, Sales order for Semifinished material and maintained bom for semifinished.
Please go thru this and suggest.
    Reg,
    Ashok

    Hi,
Did u checked the link provided by me. As per SAP, it is not possible to post 541 stock of material provided to vendor in subcontracting with account assignment sales orde or project stock.
If you want to differentiate, use a separate storage location and transfer the stocks there. When you do the GR, the components issue happens directly from your storage location from sales order stock.
Since the components are not transferred to the "stock of material provided to vendor", we recommend that you use a transfer posting to transfer the provided components to a new storage location (for example, 9999). This enables you to obtain an overview of those stocks that are physically located at the subcontractor. This information is particularly important when you carry out a physical inventory of the sales order stocks and project stocks.
If you want to provide material from your stock,
For components that are managed in sales order stock or project stock, you can define whether the components are to be withdrawn directly from each sales order/project stock or from the stock of material provided to vendor. You manage this via the dependent requirements indicator for individual customer requirements and collective requirements (MARC-SBDKZ).
You can maintain this indicator in the following places:
in the MRP view of the material master record (MRP 4)
in the explosion types for the BOM item (in Customizing for Production in the step Basic Data -> Bill of Material -> Item Data -> Define explosion types)
Configuring the explosion types has priority over the configuration in Inventory Management.
If the indicator is set at Collective requirements only (2), the materials are withdrawn from the stock of material provided to vendor. If this indicator is set any other way, the system withdraws materials from sales order stock or project stock.

  • Purchase Orders for special/controlled items

    Hello everyone:
I'm trying to create an aproval process for Purchase Orders that include special items that:
    - we only buy when one of our customers needs them (non-stock items),
    - have had no activity for 60 days or more,
    - and/or items that don't have a customer PO.
I've "marked" these items using the item's properties, so that part is covered, but the interactions with the other tables is the problem, I've tried using ORDR, RDR1, OITM and OPOR, but I think I'm creating a "monster" and on the last query I created (with help from Gordon Du I think) to use for an approval process, ended up just giving  "TRUE" of "FALSE" as a result, and I can't really imagine how to get a simple "TRUE" or "FALSE" from the 3 requirements I have for this query...
    Any ideas?
    Thanks in advance

    Hello Hugo Castano,
Please post it on the SAP Business One Core forum instead of here.  This forum is focused on SAP Business One System Administration.

  • PURCHASE ORDER STATUS :When Deleting ALL ITEMS.

    Hi experts,
I need  to make purchase order status stay  " Release Compleated " when deleting all items.
Anyone Know How to do it?
Or anyone Know how to use BAPI_PO_CHANGE in BAdI : ME_PROCESS_PO_CUST
In my project , I use Release Strategy of purchase orders, and there is a case of deleting all items.
In this situation, purchase order status returns to "Active " and release strategy tab disappears.
    This is our problem.
I need to make purchase order status stay  " Release Compleated " and prevent  release strategy tab disappearing.
I tried to update the fields EREKZ(final invoice) and ELIKZ(delivery completed) in
    BAdI : ME_PROCESS_PO_CUST  Method : PROCESS_ITEM using BAPI_PO_CHANGE according to SAP Note 456691.
But BAPI_PO_CHANGE couldn't update EREKZ because of our customize , and I couldn't find how to use
    BAPI_PO_CHANGE in the BAdI.
Anyone know solutions to solve this problem?
    Thanks a lot.
    Regards,
    TKD

    Hi,
please review the following information in SAP Note No. 456691 as
    copied below:
    18. Question:
When are the header conditions updated if a purchase order item is
    deleted?
    Answer:
If a purchase order item is deleted, the item is marked as 'statistical'
(field EKPO-STAPO = X) and the change is reflected in the header
    conditions.
However, if for the item the final invoice indicator(EKPO-EREKZ) or the
inward delivery completed indicator (EKPO-ELIKZ) is set, the item is not
marked as 'statistical' (EKPO-STAPO is not set) and thus the header
    conditions are not updated.
    I hope this helps you

  • Item text purchase order in IDOC - delete

    Hello,
I want to send out an Idoc (ORDERS05) from a purchase order. I do not want to sent the item text or material purchase text.
    Can someone help me?

Please check for user exits in FM IDOC_OUTPUT_ORDERS. There are plenty of them that you can use to delete text segments at both header and item level.
Please let me know in case of any issues.
    Thanks

  • Purchase Order error message when on Sourcing Cockpit.

    Hi All,
    I have encountered a series of error messages when I try to convert my Shopping Cart into a Purchase Order in SRM 5 within the Sourcing Cockpit. I am using Extended Classic Scenario and have defined the number range in SRM and ECC5. The error messages are below, the moment i try to concert the cart to a Po;
    - Internal number range is missing for transaction type. Inform syst. admin
    - Transaction type * does not exist. Check entries
    - Some backend documents could not be generated, or they contain errors  Further Information
    - No status object is available for
I have checked the transaaction type, number ranges assignments, attributes in PPOMA_BBP but fail to find the cause.
    Any pointers would be welcome!
    Thnx,
    Mike

    Hi Muthu,
The number ranges are consistent as I have checked the number range for local purchase order and this is set as an internal between the range 3000000000 - 3999999999. On the transaction type for BUS2201 Purchase Order, 30 has been set as the Int Number Range, with all other fields left blank.
The strange thing is that the documents that failed to convert into a PO had been reprocessed in the Application Monitor for Purchase Orders, but when I go back into Sourcing to create the PO, I now get the message:
"You have either failed to select an item, or you cannot create a follow-on document due to an error that has occurred"
    Regards
    Mike,

  • Report for Open purchase orders that contain deleted preqs

    Hi All,
Is there a way to list purchase orders that may contain purchase reqs that have been deleted after PO creation?
    Cheers,
    Harry

    Hi,
The PRs are being deleted by other persons, mainly the originator, and by closing off work orders that the PR would be associated with.
The POs are still active, although quite old.   I am hastening all PO that are active against the vendors to ensure supply of the goods.
I am seeing quite a large number of POs with deleted/closed PRs.  Thus indicating there is no longer a demand for the items on the po.
If i could run a weekly report to show POs with deleted PRs. I could liaise with the originators to confirm their requirement before hastening against the vendor.
    Cheers,
    Harry
