Purchase order Notification Summry Notification history not updating

I created one PO, and sent it for approval, in approval hierarchy, someone person X chose to use request information and sent it to some person Y, now person Y responded and person X gets notification for same, but when person X opens that notification, the history is not updated, i.e. it doesnt have 2 lines saying that Requested information from person Y and then person Y responded to it. but after 20 mins or so, when person opens same notification again then it has all the information, why this lag of 20-30 mins?

To add to my earlier comment;
The lag is because of 2 reasons.
1) The workflow background processor is running every x minutes. So it takes time to process the po approval workflow.
2) The notification mailer is running every y minutes. So after a notification is created, it takes y minutes to actually send an email out.
You can avoid the delay caused by step1, you can set PO:Workflow Processing Mode to ONLINE. This will process the approval right away (instead of waiting for the workflow background process to run.)
However, you will find that users don't like this option because they have to stare at the hour glass for a few seconds while the PO is being processed.

    Whenever a supplier clicks on the reply-to in response to a purchase order notification from his mail box the mail goes to the Generic workflow mailer id. I have a requirement like whenever the supplier replies to a PO mail notification it should always go to the buyer of that PO. It would be great if someone could give guidance on how to acheive this.

    I checked  both of these transaction  we need to select 3 option Characetrstics frm configuration(prio) and classification. I will check that, I had one more question
    In PO VC configuration is called for class type-300  and  in GRN VC configuration  is called for class type -023. How it will fetch the variant class configuration to Batch class configuration?
    Once we had faced some issues the copy from PO to GRN was happening for some batches & some batches it was not happening.
    yes we have activated Mill Functions in our ERP box.

  • Purchase Order history not updating in my STO

    Dear Experts,
    We are doing stock transfer order internally for FERT and *BOUGHT OUT * items. Now at the time of delivery through VL10B all bought out items are appear in outbouddelivery but FERT item material is not coming automatically in delivery.  System pickes up item category as NLN but if i manually added FERT material at the end system picks up item category as ULN & purchase order history also not updated in STO.
    Also in MD04 system is showing reservation against STO number & the result is i am not able to do delivery because system is showing message as only 0 qty is available for picking
    Can any body helps me in this?

    Hi,
      Define your item category setting for your Delivery..
    Under SPRO>Loge-Exce>Shipping-->Define item category determination in Deliveries.
    Note: You should not enter the line item manually in delivery, thus it will store the item category as DLN  (DLN is for without order Reference) so it wont record any history.

    The  Invoice is created ( MIRO) with Amount : 1001 USD but in PO History it displays 1000 USD.
    The Tolerance is 1 USD ...My Requirement is that it should display 1001 in PO History.

  • Purchase order history not updated when invoice is posted for framework POs

    Hi,
    We've created a framework PO and now posted an invoice against it. The invoice was posted in the following way:
    1. Go to transaction MIRO
    2. Enter the PO number in the PO reference field.
    3. Select the "G/L Account" tab and enter the value manually and also enter the amount at the header level and then post it.
    But when I go back to the PO, I don't see the PO history tab and hence, the PO history is not visible.
    Does anybody have an idea on any config that may be missing?
    Any clues will be appreciated.

    Did you refer to the same Framework purchase order while posting the invoice?
    Invoice has been posted succesfully and number generated? If yes then check in MIR5/MIR6 the purchase order reference for that Invoice.
    If everything is correct then you can see the IV number in PO history tab.

    1. Is this problem reproducible? If yes, you may need to create a message for it in service market place.
    2. If this is only a single case, you can re-create the EKBE (po history) entry via report ZCREA_EKBE. Please check SAP note  433505.
    3. Regarding the GR document and document flow, this is related with how you post the GR. If you post GR in MIGO with reference to the outbound delivery, it should be updated to the document flow. How did you post it?

  • Sale Order change BAPI - Storage loc not updated

    Hi Everybody,
    Iam using "BAPI_SALESORDER_CHANGE", to change the sale order items.
    First iam calling above bapi with switch B, for new pricing & then second time for material change.
    When i change any material number, it is getting updated correctly.
    But the storage location, even though iam passing in the bapi it is not updated, & is blank - updation flag is also passed.
    When i execute sale order change again it is updated - ie, for any material change for first bapi call, storage loc is not updated - for 2nd bapi call storage loc is updation - for same input in both the cases.
    Is there any way to update the storage loc is first call of sales order change bapi.

  • Purchase Order: Copy of Deleted Positions not available for Goods Receipt

    Hi SAP Gurus,
    we've implemented an SRM extended classic scenario with the R/3 as the back end system.
    When I create a purchase order with, for instance, 17 positions, if I delete one of them (for instance the number 16) and I copy it I get in my order two positions with the number 16: the first one is deleted and the second one is active. This doesn't happen for the very first positions: if I delete one position and I copy it I get the new one at the end of the list.
    The problem is that when I have to create the Goods Receipt, the position copied from the deleted ones are not available!!!
    Please, is in there anyone who can help me? Thank you very much!

  • Purchase order changed affect PO history

    Hi: 
    I have the following porblem: 
    I created a service purchase order with the following data: 
    One position: 
    Service 
    Position value: 60496 
    Quantity: 1 
    Value: 60496 
    The I entered the service entry sheet (ml81n) and the invoice (MIR7) 
    The next step was: I changed the PO. In the service tab I changed the quantity and value: 
    quantity: 2 
    Value: 31155.50 
    So the PO order is the following: 
    One position: 
    PO value: 62311 (31155.50 * 2) 
    Service tab: 2 services for 31155.50 
    So i entered one service entry sheet for one of the services (31155.50) 
    Sumarize of PO history: 
    WE and Lerf: 91651.5 
    REL: 91651.5 
    but the purchase order position is 62311 (31155.5 * 2) 
    I want to know why it is happend? (purchase position: 62311 and WE 91651.5)  
    and now im trying to enter the second service of 31155.50  and the system says that the limit is overcome.  Just two units can be entered ( 1 of 60946 and 1 of 31155.50) But. what about the second one of 31155.50?

    there is no transaction available for this, you may go for development/query.
    Changes are stored in CDHDR and CDPOS
    Key for purchase orders:
    OBJECTCLAS EINKBELEG
    OBJECTID (PO number)

  • Purchase order quantity round up - how not to have it?

    Hi,
    When we create a purchase order for, let's say 2.5 kg of some material, it is getting created saying 3 kg (the price is correct, but the quantity is rounded).
    So, when we send the PO - vendors send up 3 kg instead of 2.5 and it creates problems.
    How can i fix that? I dont want to have any ABAP code developed - i believe there is a standard config piece for that.

  • Purchase Order line item tax details not in IDoc ORDERS02

    We are on ECC6 and using IDoc ODERS02, when viewing the purchase order in me23n, taxes are visible on the line item under the invoice tab. When we view the same purchase order via the IDoc that was created, the line item taxes are not being displayed in segments E1EDP04 and E1EDP05.
    Is there some configuration we need to do to get the taxes info into the IDoc?

    I think only price elements which have been set to "to be printed" in Customizing will be included into the Idoc.
    Just a remark: ORDERS02 is an "historical" Idoc; ORDERS05 is the appropriate one for ECC6 (but this has nothing to do with your problem).

    Please check the following in customization.Dont check in NACE you may miss something like fine tune control
    1) Check the Message determination procedure is having the NEU output type
    2) Check the std Message determination procedure is assigned to PO
    3) Check the output type for the Access sequence, default data for transmission medium and partner function VN, Language & Form assigned to it
    4) Check the Access sequence for the condition tables
    5) Check the condition record in MN04/MN05
    6) Check the purchasing group has printer assignement
    7) Check the fine tuen control for operation 1 & 2 for message type.
