I found this in another discussion. Same problem as yours. Give it a try.
Was having the same issue and searched all over for a solution to find nothing out there, but this worked for me. With the appisode stuck on waiting:
- press the home button to get to the home screen. Don't double click and end the app.
- go into settings and turn off wifi connection.
- go back to disney appisodes. You should get a message that you need an internet connection to download your purchase. At this point you should get prompted for your iTunes password. I forget the exact order as my wifi switched to another connection.
- now instead of "waiting" the appisode should say "paused"
- go back out and turn wifi back on
- go back to appisodes and you may get prompted for your password again, but if you touch the paused appisode once your internet connection is back on it should start downloading.
Again, this worked for me but you me but the order of events may be different for each person. I think the main thing is to turn wifi off then back on.

Are you expecting to see the apps that you can see on the iPad, on the Mac?
iOS apps which run on your iPad and use the iOS operating system, won't run on your Mac, which usues a different operating system, OS X.

Mine's much worst - can't send nor receive emails from Yahoo and Gmail. It simply won't connect. Gmail first gives an error about the SSL and to try again without it. But, it still won't connect. Yahoo on the other hand keeps on saying that the apple.imap server is not responding no matter what settings I change. It really does seem that there's something wrong on their end, however, it seems selective.
This is on top of the fact that all of my contacts were erased and the Personal Hotspot disappears intermittently.
By the way, I came from 4.2. I updated my wife's from 4.1 and her's is just peachy.

I understand that you do not hear sound from Safari on your computer but you do hear sound in other applications. There may be several troubleshooting steps I would suggest to troubleshoot this situation.
The first troubleshooting steps I would recommend would be removing any unsupported third-party add-ons. Please use the information and instructions located in the attached article to complete this process.

I am using MAC OSx 10.5.8 (9L31a) as my operation system. The TV says "No signal. Check connected device's power, cable connection and source selection." Seems to me that that goes in hand with what the Samsung tech said about the Mac needing to be forces to use the external display. But how do I do that?

Are you certain you have enough memory left on your device to accommodate the app? Also, are you certain that an iOS 8-compatible version has been released by the developer? If the answer to both questions is "yes", then try downloading it via an iTunes sync.

If the songs are still on your ipod, make sure autosync is disabled in iTunes on your computer, connect and right click on it in the device list, then choose "transfer purchases" to copy all bought media and apps from your ipod to your computer.
If the songs are not on your computer and got deleted from your ipod as well, you can't get them back, unless you have a backup of your iTunes library as part of your computer backup.

Why it's like that I don't think that Apple have said (these are user-to-user forums). If you haven't downloaded it on your iPad then have you checked to see if you can download it on your computer's iTunes (Store > Check For Available Downloads menu option) or Apple TV ?
If it doesn't show on either of them then you can try contacting iTunes Support and see if they will let you download it on a different computer/device or refund or credit you : http://reportaproblem.apple.com

Even a four-year-old MacBook should have come with Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard. Leopard can run the latest version of iTunes; it will download and install pretty much automatically if you run Software Update.
You might first have to be sure that you are running the latest version of Leopard, which is 10.5.8. This, too, will download and install for you if you run Software Update. Just keep running Software Update until there is nothing left to download and install (you might have to run it more than once because some updates require previous updates to be installed first).
If you have a version of Mac OS X earlier than 10.5, then you can't run the latest version of iTunes. You will need to buy a more recent version of Mac OS X. You must be running at least 10.4 Tiger, and you can upgrade directly to Snow Leopard from Tiger. Apple still sells Snow Leopard for about $30 and you might find it slightly less at a retailer or on eBay. After upgrading to Snow Leopard, you will be able to upgrade to Lion using the Mac App Store for another $30 or so if your MacBook meets the minimum system requirements.
