Purchasing flow with stock - Integration to FM

Dear experts,
my customer would like to have the FM budget check only when the warehouse orders from the supplier (on the warehouse FC)
For this purpose I implemented a fix FC assignment, whenever the "Inventory Flag" is avtive. For specific movement types, I implemented an assignment of statistical commitment item.
Now I face the following problem:
When posting the Purchase Order, everything works fine (I can see in the trace of FMDERIVE, that the inventory flag is active and therefore, the FC will be filled)
When posting a goods receipt (TA MIGO) on the same Purchase Order, the Inventory flag is no more active as I see in trace. The system throws error message FC is not filled.
Do you know this issue and what to do?
Thanks a lot for any hint,
Thomas

Hi Thomas,
I have some information that may help you with your issue:
- Please check if you have defined in FMDERIVE a derivation rule to clear commitment item or funds center field. You should adjust FMDERIVE in order to avoid that FMDERIVE overwrites the inherited account assignment if you wish to maintain the account assignment across the whole MM document chain.
- You need to set the field status of the field FLG_INVNTRY_PSTNG in purchase order to 'Display' in order to ensure the use of the automatically derived account assignments.
- On the other hand, you are posting a Goods receipt (MIGO, probably movement type 101) where the related business transaction is RMWE. If this is your case it is correct that the Inventory posting flag is not relevant in this case as it is not an inventory posting.
If you want to get business transaction RMWA, you need to post Goods issues and use a different movement type, i.e. 201K
I believe that you are using scenario 1. Note 700485 says:
a) for scenario 1:
A statistical commitment item must be derived for all goods issue postings concerning the warehouse (process RMWA in field
TRANSAC). Since the relevant account assignments are already entered with the purchase order for the FM, SAP recommends to change these to mandatory fields by means of the field status.
Process RMWA is Goods Movement, done by transaction MB11.
Process RMWE is Goods receipt for purch. order
Please check your trace log and see which process appears there, I believe that trace shows process RMWE and flag
FLG_INVNTRY_PSTNG not marked when you are in MIGO.
May you so kind to clarify RMWE from MM point of view? Is it correct to create RMWE, movement 101 for stock?
It seems to be that the standard program is not considering your example with RMWE as a stock movement, it is expecting a RMWA process to be able to have the flag FLG_INVNTRY_PSTNG marked.
Please refer carefully to the Warehouse concepts documentation. In order to bypass this error, you should work under one of the Warehouse scenarios supported by SAP and adjust your customizing accordingly.
In the link below the warehouse concepts are described with the related business transactions: (purchase requisition, purchase order, and goods issue).
http://help.sap.com/erp2005_ehp_04/helpdata/en/f0/ca3f50260211d28a430000e829fbbd/frameset.htm
Plase check the complete link, specially:
- the example of customizing settings for Scenario 1 available there (graphic);
- a posting Example Warehouse Concept 1;
- Posting Example for Consumable Materials and,
- Overview of Posting Ex. Consumable Materials/Warehouse Concepts
I believe that this will help you with your issue.

  • Required, SD DATA FLOW  with MM Integration.

    Dear Experts,
I have used the search functionality.. but got links..
Please Explain in your words, 1.SD Data Flow.
and also please mention its Integration with MM.
    Points Assured.
    Thanks

Link Between SAP SD, MM & FI
The link between SD and MM :-
    1. When you create sales order in SD, all the details of the items are copied from Material master of MM.
    2. MRP and availibility check related data is also taken from MM although you control this data in SD also.
    3. While you create inbound/outbound delivery with reference to a sales order, the shipping point determination takes place with the help of the loading group, plant data, shipping conditions etc. This also refers to Material Master.
    4. The material which you are entering in a sales order must be extended to the sales area of your sales order/customer otherwise you cannot transact with this material.
There are many such links between SD and MM.
Now the link between SD and FI :-
    1. Whenever you create a delivery with reference to a sales order, goods movement takes place in the bacgground. eg. In case of standard sales order, you create an outbound goods delivery to the customer.
Here movement 601 takes place. This movement is configured in MM. Also, this movement hits some G/L account in FI. Every such movement of good s hits some G/L account.
    2. The accounts posting in FI is done with reference to the billing documents (invoice, debit note, credit note etc) created in SD. Thus this is a link between SD and FI
    3. Tax determination: In case of a tax determination also, there is a direct link between SD and MM

  • SD  and MM FLOW with example

    Hi friends,
Can any one tell me the SD and MM Flow with respect to company and customer like what the company and customer will do in various stages?

    hai  Reddy,
SAP Sales and Distribution Processing Document Flow
    Document Flow in Sales
The sales documents you create are individual documents but they can also form part of a chain of inter-related documents. For example, you may record a customer’s telephone inquiry in the system. The customer next requests a quotation, which you then create by referring to the inquiry. The customer later places an order on the basis of the quotation and you create a sales order with reference to the quotation. You ship the goods and bill the customer. After delivery of the goods, the customer claims credit for some damaged goods and you create a free-of-charge delivery with reference to the sales order. The entire chain of documents – the inquiry, the quotation, the sales order, the delivery, the invoice, and the subsequent delivery free of charge – creates a document flow or history. The flow of data from one document into another reduces manual activity and makes problem resolution easier. Inquiry and quotation management in the Sales Information System help you to plan and control your sales.
The following graphic shows how the various types of sales documents are inter-related and how data subsequently flows into shipping and billing documents.
    D Transaction Code Flow:
    Inquiry / Document type IN
Tcode for creation VA11,VA12, VA13. Tables VBAK, VBAP

    Billing MN
Tcode for creation VF01,VF02,VF03. Tables VBRK,VBRP
To create a sales order we need purchase order number and custmer number. Before that, to create a purchase order we need to have material no, vendor no.
    To create vendor tcode is
    xk01(create), xk02(change) , xk03(display)
    Tables are lfa1.
To create custmer tcode is xd01, xd02, xd03.
    Table is kna1.
After creating sales order using this no we can create delivery note tcode is vl01.

It really depends on the company and their business process. Generally though:
Purchase Requisition (user reqests stuff, either for manuf/stock, or supplies). -> then the PReq would go through an approval process (Release Strategy). Once approved, one can either create a Request for Quote (RFQ) to multiple vendors to obtain the best prices - and/or create the Purchase Order (either directly from the PReq or from the RFQ).
Once the PO is created -> then a Goods Receipt is necessary (to indicate you received the goods ordered). Then Invoice Verification (again - if this is set up) - which basically prevents overpayment to a vendor (won't allow you to pay for goods not received through Goods Receipt). Then ultimately the payment to the Vendor.
So - Transaction flow for create (common):
    PReq -> RFQ -> PO -> G/R -> Invoice -> payment (?)
    ME51N -> ME41 -> ME21N -> MIGO -> MIRO -> payment (?)
    Tables for Purchase Requisition:
    EBAN -
    EBKN - Account Assignment
    Tables for Purchase Orders:
    EKKO - Header
    EKPO - Item
EINA - Purchasing Info Record (oops forgot to mention that above - PInfoRec has the vendor/material/price for future sourcing)
    Tables for Request for Quote:
    same as PO above
    Tables for Goods Receipt:
    MKPF - Material Document Header
    MSEG - Material Document Item
    EKBE - History of PO
    Tables for Invoice Verification:
BSIS (good substitute for BSEG, which is a monster)

  • 3rd Party with stock update

    Hi all,
I am trying to setup proces to track SO through process of purchase.
Much like 3rd party sales processing w. shipping notification with difference that I need to receive goods on stock not on SO consumption and afterwards to ship it away.
I tried to set up automatic Pur.Request out of Sales Order but was unable to do this without account assignment, and thus always ending up creating PO for consumption and skiping stock.
Can somebody give me some pointers on how should I setup this.

Yes, I am aware that in 3rd party scenario there is no stock update cos goods are shipped directly to customer from vendor.
Mine problem is that I have to make process of tracking SO through Purchasing with stock update and I am stuck with creating Pur.Requisition out of SO with account assignment which then triggering GR on SO consumption.
Is there a way to create Pur.Requisition automaticaly out of SO without account assignment. So that I can procure to stock and still have update document flow in SO.
Or maybe this is wrong approach and I should take another one.

  • Integrate 'External non-SAP Purchasing Application' with SAP SD for third party purchasing/ drop shipping?

What is the best way to integrate 'External non-SAP Purchasing Application' with SAP SD for third party purchasing/ drop shipping?
    Details about expected process Flow.
Receive PO from customer into SAP > SAP SD creates Sales Order > ?? SAP Integrate with External non-SAP Purchasing Application to trigger purchasing > External non-SAP Purchasing Application creates PO, Ships Material to Customer Ship to address (drop ship), Sends Shipping confirmation (FCR) & Invoices to SAP> ??Receive FCR and Invoice in SAP > ?? Initiate SAP Accounts Payable (Vendor Payments) and Accounts Receivable (Customer Invoice) > ?? Update SAP SD Sales Order with shipping status>
    Questions we need to answer;
      - How to achieve '??' steps from above process.
      - What type of Master Data we will need to configure (Say Materials Item Category, Type etc.)
      - Any standards options to configure SAP SD (Type of Sales Order)
      - We certainly don’t want to trigger SAP MM Purchasing (i.e. PR, PO etc.). How can we bypass it.
      - How to make statistical receipts against sales order line items so that SO status will be updated.
      - How to receive Invoice and FCR from External non-SAP app to trigger AP and AR transactions.
      - Are there any SAP standard configurations/ BAPIs/ BADIs available to achieve this integration.
Any inputs on above questions are appreciable.
    Anand.

This question is resolved. We ended up activating purchasing module and used purchasing documents PR/ PO to integrate with third party purchasing system.

  • Goods receipt for purchase order with account assignment 'K'

    Hello All,
There are couple of purchase orders with acc.*** "K". On doing the GR for these PO's they have been done with mvt type 103 & mvt typ 105.
I understand that material has been directly consumed to the respective cost center.
How do track the internal movement for these materials??
I need to view the stock for these materials at the cost center as in MMBE the stock is seen as ZERO.
All these materials are with QM proc ACTIVE. So a goods receipt is done 105, then the inspection lot is cleared. However, in this case as the material is directly consumed, it is NOT displayed in QA32.
Is the above procedure correct??? Is it better to receive stock against mvt type 101 & then do a 201 mvt ??
    Request your inputs.....
    Regards,
    Manoj Reddy

Account assignment inventories are not maintained. To maintain a report for cost center receiving/issuing you need to make a customized report with help of ABAP.
Other way is to pull report in MB51, with selection criteria COST CENTER and it will give you result of stocks available on cost center. For stocks received on cost center, you can pull report with cost center and movement 101.
201 is used for goods issue to cost center from warehouse, the stock you receive from PO against 101 is directly charged to cost center, so no need to issue later to cost center.

  • Acct determination for Account-assigned purchase order with keys not define

    Hi,
I'm trying to post an IDOC of type BBPIV through XI to an R/3 system.
The posted idoc in R/3 is in status 51 (Application document not posted) with the error message "Acct determination for Account-assigned purchase order with keys not defined in chart of acts WP2P"
As per my understanding this is something related to FI.
Long text of the error is "The system cannot generate an automatic posting because there is no account determination defined for Account-assigned purchase order with keys   in chart of accounts WP2P.
Correct the account determination for Account-assigned purchase order"
Please help me how to solve this.
    Regards,
    Rashmi

    Hiya,
This looks like its a MM posting / transaction.
You need to go to OBYC and maintain the account assignment. If you provide the business scenario (GR into Stock, Subcontracting, etc.) for the process, I may be able to help.
VKOA is for SD account assignment and I don't believe you can use that here.
    Cheers.

  • Purchase order with reference to Sales Order

    Dear SAP Gurus,
I want to create a Purchase Order with reference to sales order.
I want to take the material in my stocks also. If i create a Purchase order with account assignment, i am able to take the inventory of that material as it is consumed at the time of GR (MIGO).
    hope you understand my requirement.
    Ashish

    Hi
Go to SPRO->Logistic general->Tax on goods movement->India->Movement types.
Here you will find the group of movement types check which movement types is mantained for the out side movement groups or inward movement.
also check the Material Master in MRP view if the collective requirements (02) is mantained.

  • Purchasing flow: Differences in Goods Issue and Goods Receipt

    Hi all!
I am working right now in the Purchasing flow and I have come up to some difficulties. When I make a Purchase Order, there might be differences between the delivery quantity and the received quantity, resulting in possible negative stocks. I have 2 possible options:
    - I make a PO for 10 PC, the vendor makes GI of only 8, and I receive 8, what do I do? Do I pay for 10, or for 8?
    - I order 10 PC, the vendor issues me 10, but I receive 12 (in MIGO). How do I handle this negative stock in transit? Do I make the Goods Receipt of 10 and then make a PO of the other 2 and another GR of only 2?
Is there any Best Practice to solve these issues? Which is the best way to solve these problems?
Thank you very much in advance.

    Hi,
You yourself know the answer partly.
If PO=10, GR=8 no issues, all the 8units will be received and the invoice will be received for 8units only.
Nof if PO=10, GR=8 but IR=10 units, now the invoice will be parked for verification, and if the invoice quantity is different from PO quantity, the difference is posted to an account called "Price Difference" account created for this purpose. The invoice will eventually be parked (not posted). Once after getting confirmation on the quantity/price, the invoice will be released for posting. This wholeset of functionality in MM is called as "Logistics Invoice Verification"
Simlar kind of functionality is also available for the differences in PO quantity and GR quantity.
The functionality applies not only for differences in quantity, but also for differences in price of each quantity.
    Hope this clears your doubt.
